W2 World Buffet Restaurant - Buffet restaurant in Middlesbrough, United Kingdom
Saturday Night got seated within 10-15 minutes, Cost was £100 for 5 people, including unlimited refill soft drinks so very Reasonable, but food quality and overall atmosphere of the place has gone downhill compared to when I was last there. Far worse and more expensive places to eat out in boro
Really nice food so much to have good to go with your friends or family nice place
Great value for money, nice variety of food and friendly staff. The Chinese food was especially good.
Been a few times now, its our go to place for celebrations and family gatherings. The staff are fantastic, polite and make you feel welcome. There is a vast selection of food to choose from so youll always find something you enjoy. The icecream bar is great, the kids love going here.We always look forward to coming back.
What can I say about this Restuarant, food was honestly not edible - asked for refund after to be confronted you not from Middlesbrough to my wife and I . considering I have lived in Boro for 15 years. He tried to say Middlesbrough people were bad and low class, Checked cctv to see if i was lying about my food consumption, gave refund for one meal which is better than nothing but £16 throw away for poor service and made to feel that Middlesbrough were not within his quality to eat there
Lovely place you have so much to eat and good for family night out...cheap for the quality of foods you get to eat
Ive heard alot of negative reviews about W2 but the whole group i went with thought it was lovely, we turned up at 7.00pm and the food was fresh and lovely, sure like most buffets the chips werent that good unless you get to them fresh brought out, staff were great too, all in all a great experience. Will be returning for definite.
Can be a bit hit or miss depending on when you go. Our previous experience was decent with food being topped off regularly so there was always plenty on the go but today there was a lot of empty parts. If you’re just going for Chinese there’s always plenty of that but the donner meat always seems to be empty and the sushi is slow to get filled back up too
Polite and friendly staff couldnt fault any of them. The food just lacks flavour and all the chicken has a strange texture. The kids lives the deserts especially the churros
Visited with a family of 4 on a sunday paid £80 with three drinks which i thought was pretty expensive as could have went for a better quality meal with a nicer seating area. Place is a little run down, plenty of food to choose from only the quality of food is really poor and the meat is a funny texture which put me off. Best part of the meal was the desert section. Wouldnt return plenty of places to eat in the area at a more reasonable price and better quality of food.
Great choice of food good for trying new things but expensive if u have small kids that dont eat alot. We got charged £10 for a 3 year old which is disgusting as they would eat £10 worth of food
Its okay but it should be for £42 for 2 people. Uk represented with Sunday only whilst China must have had 10-20 different dishes. More a family venue really with kids running all over the place.
We went in expecting a moderately good place... we found a beautifully decorated and well set out restaurant, and even is 2 fatties were full to the brim. For us, the bottomless soft drinks were money will spent. Deserts were delish!
FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD, tried all the Indian curries n rice, Chinese curries n rice, fruit cocktail, Banoffee cake, All lovely. Didnt have room for any more. So much choice, Pizza, crepes, & more i didnt see. If u can eat plenty of food this is great value. Would defo go again. Wear ur loose clothes
Me My wife and 4 kids came for a late dinner everything was good kids really enjoyed the deserts side food was good will definitely return.
Loved every minute of it. Nice ambience, various varieties of food to choose from. Its a buffet set-up 3-course dining. You need to eat in though.Kid-friendly. Ideal for celebrations. Has halal and non-halal food.
Seen this place on tik tok, thought we would try it as we haven’t really got anything like this down south and it was incredible never seen anything like it, had every type of food you could think of, lots of variety even with the drinks, was a reasonable price aswell which made it 10x better. Would definitely be coming back next time we come up north.
It was not nice at all the chips were hard as rocks the Asian food was ok it was much better at banana leaf will not go bk
We love this place, the food is soooo nice and love that we can try new foods from all over the world.
Always love it here ,massive range of food options I probably wouldnt of even thought of trying if hadnt seen them here, somthing for everyone including sushi conveyer belt and a chocolate fountain
This place every time Ive been the food is great and there loads to choose from from rice dishes to all different types of chicken pork ribs duck and the cakes and puddings this is really good value for money
Avoid this place! I went on Friday 1.7.22 within a couple off hours I had food poisoning, ended up in a&e I was that bad. Please avoid or make sure the food is throughly cooked and dosnt look like its been reheated over and over, definitely will never return!
Cheap & relatively cheerfulWasn’t expecting the world & didn’t get the world. Not the worst buffet and deffo not the bestHits: Salt & pepper chicken wings, satay sauce, Eton mess and fried ice creamMiss: Chicken korma, chicken tikka (both rubbery & pink), ribs, naan bread (more like a flip flop)Service slow overall, took a while for out plates to be cleared. Place was clean. Waiter who seated us was really polite. In football terms it’s like watching stoke city, odd exciting moment but overall fairly dull
Not great quality food but plenty to choose from. Theres plenty of options and overall its a nice experience going.
First time visiting post covid, used to love this place as the choice was immense and was a World buffet, however now it appears to be just a Chinese buffet with sushi and couple of types of pizza. Nothing particularly World about the food anymore. Food we did have was nice but not the best Chinese buffet out there.
It is a lovely place to go for food, I have to admit its not the best but its not bad. If you are looking for something that caters to all, then its great. However if you are looking for really really tasty food then try other places.
It is what it is. Not bad food and at ok-ish prices.. although the prices have gone up recently. If your starving though you should be able to fill your boots 😋
Plenty choice of food and drinks. Only problems is that the sign about the chicken is a bit questionable and we reserved a table for 20 and when there were around 10 of us at the restaurant waiting for the other 10 they would not let us sit down until the rest of our friends arrived.
Loved this place, only 9.95 for as much food as I wanted, the food was lovely and lots of choices. Will definitely return
Poor customer service. The tables are left unclean unless you tell someone to clean
Unbelievably Good, what an amazing variety and excellent value. Will definitely dine here again.
Food was great!! Had the usual, not able to eat as much as I usually can as magically I felt full up rather quickly... Generally the experience was positive and fun. Would visit again
Waiters stand over you and immediately take away your plate before you have even swallowed your food. Some dishes were nice others were ok. Very busy with small space to maneuver near tables felt a little too cramped for my liking.
Really bad experience. Terrible!!!. My 4year old broke a glass cup by mistake and the staff couldnt even show any form of care. To make it worse the manager said we had to pay for the glass. For crying out loud this is just a 4year old boy!!!. Customer service is a horrible!!!.
Went today to celebrate a birthday and the food was amazing. They have a sign up saying free wood board for a birthday, at the end of the meal a huge cake appeared with candles and the music changed to sing happy birthday. Really big surprise to all of us. The food was fantastic and everyone including young kids had something to eat.
Plenty of options buffet, great set out, none of that if you waste it you pay extra for it nonsense. They essentially have a varied selection of Chinese, Indian, English, Japanese and Italian food. Obviously not gourmet quality but its still very good considering all the different dishes they make.Great desert selection too - the chocolate fountain, crepes and eton mess were my favs.
Absolutely amazing!! The staff are well mannered and polite, very helpful. The service is brilliant. And the place is very clean and tidy! The music isnt too loud and the air con is lovely and cool. Will 100% be coming back again!!
1st time here 24-3-22 whith my partner whilst the food was lovely and the place is nice and clean, I didnt like the way we were told not to fill our glasses right up in case it spilt on the table. We are two grown adults. They watch you like a hawk but are quick to remove used plates etc. Probably a little over priced but it is what it is. Would return.
Very nice food and neat. Staff were friendly and fantastic
Nice atmosphere, and they had a new drink that was blue which was very nice but they never seem to restock the Eton mess, which is a fan favourite. Lots of food suitable for picky kids and caters to all tastes. Overall alright and serve good food would go again.
Very nice place, clean, not cheap ! friendly staff , good food from world , recommended
We loved it here, staff were fab and everything was sparkling clean. We were spoilt for choice with chinese, indian, sushi, pizza and lots more on the menu and deserts galore, it wasnt too busy and it took about 5 mins from ordering drinks to being seated at our table. We will definitely go back.
Camon Every Empty stomachs lets Bang on 🤩👌😋Food is excellent 🍔🍕🍩🍜🥘🥐🍗Yes it is Unlimited until you stop with out waisting any of the food ‼️
Great value and very nice food. The Chinese food is particularly good. Only a short walk from the multi story car park, and the first three hours are free.
Went with my family today to W2 World Buffet. The pre-book system and check on door with temp checks etc was what I expected. Once inside I felt their charges for children of a certain height was excessive with drinks. Once inside and seated the waiter explain the ordering system using a app and barcode on table as the waiters would bring your food due to covid 19 rules. You could order up to 5 items at a time for each person but no extra drinks included with payment apart from the one drink we got at start. The portion of food we got were very small in amount so you had to order more times which was allowed but one thing is, it allowed us to try all the different halal items on offer. Some of the items like the beef were overcooked and it tasted like rubber but the noodles and curries were fine. Kids enjoyed the ice cream and deserts. A bit different to the whole buffet experience and with food amount, felt the place could review the kids prices as the height chart is a bit unfair with its price tag of £7.95 each for kids under 5. Nice decor inside with a nice atmosphere and staff were all friendly and polite.
Food is so so, nice and quick customer service which was good but the food itself wasnt amazing.
Fantastic. Great food. Return to the buffet as many times as you want. Apft drinks have free refill. If you dont eat a lot of foreign quizine but would like to try it, this is a great place to come as you can try a little bit of everything and go back and get the things you like. Worth every penny. Very reasonably priced. Staff are very quick and efficient clearing plates and tables and food areas are spotless. We has to que for about 15 mins but this was hardly an inconvenience. Ideal place for groups, but only parties of over 8 can book during the weekend.
Wowed this place was awesome. Go with the feeling you could eat a horse, you wont be disappointed. Great value for money if youre a foodie. If you dont eat much, dont go. At £14.99 for all you can eat... from every avenue you can think of youll have fun and leave rolling from gluttony!
Weelchair accessible , spotless toiletĺs and restaurant. Formal place, were it is possible having lunch at £9,50 p.p enjoying the most popular dishes from all around the world. Food is not excellent though, I would not have pizza which it was disgusting sugary. Dessert island it is children paradise, but matcha cake was not nice. Customers needs to pay in advance and after being located to their tables needs queuing for drinks in cash! I have find it confusing.Zen Interior design.
There was a queue to enter the buffet but it did move pretty quickly. You pay before you eat, the prices are pretty reasonable. There is a LOT of Chinese food in comparison to everything else and most dishes contain meat which isnt brilliant for vegetarians who eat here. My vegetarian friend asked the woman behind the sushi counter if any were vegetarian and the woman said she didnt know even though she was making the sushi. The food got topped up regularly as it was going pretty fast. Loved the Chinese, Thai and Indian food. The pizza wasnt great and the pasta bar only had carbonara on display. I would definitely return here in the future.
