Tonight was my 3rd time dining at W’s. The last 2 times were great. Tonight, not so much! A friend and I went for dinner and drinks. We were told to sit wherever we wanted as it wasn’t very crowded. We picked a pub table in the bar area. Our waitress was very nice, she came over took a drink order then we ordered our dinners.Our dinners arrived about 15 minutes later and we started eating. While in the middle of eating our dinners, another waitress, came over and asked if we could move to another table as they wanted to free up our table for a group of people who were coming in. Before we had a chance to even answer, her hands and fingers were in/ on my plate offering to help me move. She told us the owner would buy us a drink if we moved. I was annoyed and told her I didn’t want another drink. In the middle of all this our waitress came over and told us we didn’t have to move. I didn’t appreciate any of this, especially her hands/fingers on my plate while I was literally in the middle of eating. Our waitress came over and apologized for her rudeness. So much for a night out to catch up w/ a friend. WILL NOT BE BACK!

Ws is a solid local bar. The sandwiches are good, the fries are hot and the staff is friendly. Charlie is the nicest guy in town.

The Apple crisp dessert was delish! Great for a late-night quick bite place

Average pub fare but they did have gluten free pizza!!!!!

This was the second time I ate there. We had chicken fingers, pretzel sticks and quesadilla for appetizers. These were wonderful. All really well made and flavorful. I had the fish and chips for my meal and was disappointed. There didnt seem to be much fish under heavy batter. Fries were good though but I did not feel well after my meal. Also be aware that if you order iced tea or soft drinks, there are no free refills. So youll be paying another $3 for more Coke.

Never really had a bad meal here…….. until this past Wednesday.. ordered the special “Lasagna Parm”. 100% disgusting. All it was was lasagna noodles ricotta cheese and mozzarella.. No Meat!. They through some sauce and a few cardboard tasting meatballs on the side. YUCK! We told the waitress and all she did was buy back a beer. $23 went in the garbage and had to order something else to eat. How about the owner admit it wasn’t good and comp it? Nope! We’ll be back but it will take some time to get over this one…..

Had a wonderful time this afternoon eating at West. Food was exceptional and our server, Candy was the best. Very helpful and informative. Highly recommend, especially if your a Yankee fan.

Fries we so burnt we couldn’t eat them. Guys who delivered said “that’s how they make them” management & service was great- but don’t order the fries !

Absolutely delicious!! Literally just Googled a restaurant on the way during a longer trip... so glad we found this. Steamed mussels, class casino, pork loin sandwich and a pesto pasta....tagged it so we can stop again when we are back in the area. Totally worth the stop!!

Overall pretty good. Enjoyed my French onion soup and appreciated the generous pour of wine. Got busy so didnt see the server for a while, but thats understandable

Upon my visit to this establishment, the outside of the restaurant looked very classy and rather up scale along with my entrance to the bar. The bartender was attentive and that was about it. The drinks that we ordered tasted very weak and not made properly. The pour ratio was definitely off as i feel like i paid almost $10 for a normal fountain soda. The menu was small but to the point where they offer a Tuesday night Mexican special as well so that increased my sadly disappointed expectations. The tacos tasted very bland along with the other dishes i ordered. Out of all honesty, the Taco Bell next door definitely serves a better tasting taco which is nothing to brag about at all. Overall, do not waste your time on the food and if you are getting a mixed drink keep it short and simple as i paid nearly $100 for something that was not worth the price. Will not be returning to this restaurant under any circumstances.

Its alright, decent Shepards pie. Good spot if youre older or if youre trying to find a place to bring your kids and still have a blue moon. I was very disappointed by what was available on tap. It was a selection of stuff I could get anywhere. The goose island kinda saved the night for me.Good service. The staff seems really cool and hard working. I liked the staff a lot.We went there because a band was playing that night. The room allowed enough space for some people to dance without bothering anyone at the bar. Good atmosphere, family friendly, right till closing. Im gonna say its a good place but didnt quite scratch my itch personally. Maybe Im too young for it.

Loud in the main dining area. The atmosphere in the atrium is nice, tables are jammed in there though. Staff was very nice. Frozen bar food, blue cheese burger too salty to eat. :0[

Wow what tiny portions. Cant believe a full size order for 16 dollars would be so small. Felt like a joke or they gave me the kids meal by mistake. Also Sheppards Pie was a frozen and reheated meal. No way it was fresh. Table service was slow. Very dissatisfied. Never again.

Went for a birthday celebration, owner & staff friendly and helpful. I did not have a meal so Ill update next time I return, but the place was packed. Now walking into Ws took me back to my hometown of the bronx, with yankee memorabilia on the walls, felt as if I just left the stadium after watching a game. Awesome place.

Great sports bar restaurant! The penne vodka and chicken parm dinners are outstanding! Charlie the owner is friendly and the staff are great as well! Casual atmosphere with plenty of TVs for sports viewing.

Hidden gem tucked away in a sleepy plaza. Simple menu, always great to see poutine fries and shepherds pie. Nachos were great! My party all had burgers and were very pleased. I had bleu cheese on mine, and Im not sure what kind they use but it really made the burger great. Will happily return!

It is spacious inside and the employees were all very friendly. Some restaurants can feel stressful because the employees are all running around, but at Ws everyone seemed happy and kind and not stressed. The food was great and they had a normal beer selection. It felt more like a restaurant than a bar, but there is a reasonable sports theme inside.

They have a good gluten free menu. I could actually get a cheese steak sandwich bun and all. Couldnt have the fries though they are made in the same fryer as the onion rings. My granddaughter had the onion rings they looked so good. Service was excellent. Price was very reasonable.

Nice place thats a bit hidden from the road. Or chicken wings were a bit tough but the honey BBQ was a great sauce. My pork loin sandwich was tasty but slightly on the dry side. My wife had a cheeseburger and it was great. I really liked their fries. Service was good and friendly and we would come back a second time for sure.

The worst veggie burgers ever. I took bnb one bite and it crumbled apart. I paid extra for a fried egg over it and the egg was overcooked. Told them I didnt enjoy it and was asked if I wanted something else and said no. They took NOTHING off the bill! Not sure if I will go back.

I had ribeye on special it was delicious...done to perfection..others at my table also had it and felt the same. Someone had turkey and they liked it as well

Very disappointed, not impressed. Paid a lot for a "Buffalo Mac & Cheese" entree... really just a Kraft Mac & Cheese dinner with a little Chicken stirred in, wasnt even spicy. Wifes salad was small, overpriced and just eh. Gets 3 stars because waitress was very attentive. Sorry, I wont be back, better food elsewhere.

Delicious food, exceptional service, friendly staff, clean and pretty decor. Party room is warm and intimate. The owner is always there making sure everyone is satisfied.

What made our night was Kathy the bar tender. She makes you feel like you are long time friends and has a great smile. We will definitely be back. #moms

Incredible and friendly service from wait staff, always, and they love to talk about the owner, a former assistant with the Yankees. Menu isnt extensive or high end, but thats not why you are coming here. Price point is very fair, and there are specials daily. Food is always good. Lone criticism is that they could use a performer/open mic/karaoke or something similar. I have not experienced such events while I was there, but they could use something like that sporadically.

Best place Ive been to in quite some time. Good food. Friendly people. Very gracious owner. Will definitely be back again soon.

The staff could not be more.attentive and friendly for my daughters bridal shower. The food was plentiful and tasty. The owner Charlie is so accommodating and knows excatly what works well together. I would recommend this eatablishment for any event and most likely will have our event here.

We recently had our daughters graduation party in the atrium area at Ws. From the very start Charlie, the owner, was fantastic! He patiently answered all of our questions and gave me his cell if I had any more! He also accommodated our request for gluten free chicken francese and pasta since we had 3 adults and 1 child who have gluten allergies. His daughter is gluten free and understands the need! The food was fabulous! Many said it was the best francese and sausage and peppers they ever had.Candy, the waitress was wonderful as well. She was on top of everything right from the start. Even if the water pitches were full, she refilled them with fresh ice water if she noticed the ice had melted. Very friendly and helpful from start to finish.I highly recommend catering from Ws or having your party there. It was the best choice we could have made and we will use them again for our family functions.Thank you Charlie! Thank you Candy!!

The waitresses and waiters are friendly. The food is good and freshly made. The atmosphere is easy going and a great place to bra g your family.

Horrible. Chicken parmigian was terrible frozen and soggy breaded chicken. Bland. Even the pasta was terrible. Wings were super dry. Service was okay because we were there at around 3 and it was empty but thats about the only good thing. Sliced steak was resting on soggy toast for some reason. Place is a joke.

They happened to be short staffed that evening but had decent food. This was your run of the mill restaurant bar. Slightly above average given the location. Would recommend if youre local and not willing to go too far.

The service is always friendly and accommodating. The food is fresh and really good. And if u go on Wednesday night u get soecial prices on beer and appetizers. Our group frequents Ws. Try it.

Cozy bar and grill tucked away in the corner of a strip mall in downtown Oakland. Moderately priced menu. We split the fresh corned beef rueben sandwich which was generously portioned and delicious. Great fries and slaw. (see photosAlso had the small house salad and minestrone soup. Both were up to our expectations. Nice privacy division between the bar and dining room sections. Service was prompt and friendly. Restroom freshly cleaned and spotless. Ample parking.

Food is just okay. Typical bar food. My girl had the corned beef...she loved it.The service was horrible. Granted, it was football Sunday. The waitress didnt stop by us once to check if we needed something. We needed more napkins and had to do without them. She kept checking the people around up (larger partiesand continually skipped over us. It was very frustrating.It is more of a bar than a restaurant so the food is bar quality. The main dining room is noisy, especially if there are large groups dining.

Theres nothing fresh about these fries. Called, they told me theyre fresh. Chicken burnt and burger burnt. They must improve in order to gain my business again.

Great place to get some great food while watching any sports game! Food and service were outstanding! And also you cant beat the $5 half price apps on Wednesday! Great little place for anyone to check out! I know Ill be back real soon!

I had just moved my office to Oakland and stopped here with some friends. Food, drinks and staff were great! The owner Charlie introduced himself to make sure everything was good. I will definitely be going back.

Enjoyed a great philly cheesesteak, my son had a buffalo chicken sandwich, also good. Enough TVs to get a good view of the ball game, nice old fashioned bar, friendly ownership, and a great atmosphere with all the sports memorabilia. Highly recommended.

Awesome burgers (especially the homemade turkey burger), fresh specials every night, great place to grab a late night snack and drinks. The staff are outstanding, you will be instantly made to feel welcome in the super clean, spacious restaurant. Wednesday night specials are a steal with 5$ appetizer items and 5$ house wines and martinis. The owner is practically always in the restaurant, showing his pride in his business... you can really feel that a lot of people work together to make this place so great!

Great friendly neighborhood place. Food is fresh and by far the best Turkey burger I have ever had! Bar is comfortable and bartenders are friendly.
