We both had Reuben toasties, which were well priced and pretty tasty. Slightly sharper pickles and more consistent mustard distribution would have made them even better. Recommended.

Great place for a sit down and yarn with your mates over a pint of beer. Theyve got a great variety of tap beers and will likely always have something on tap that youll like. Theres usually even a couple of ciders too!Early 2022 update: still good chill vibes!

Went to try their infamous pie- and a wee beer. Couldnt believe the queue standing in the rain waiting for the door to open. The pie is .... yummy/outstanding... was not disappointed when we got in BUT you have to be early as they sell out very quickly.

This is Auckland’s central best Craft beer bar. Beautiful team running the place and always have at least over 15 craft beer options on tap! besides a huge fridge with cans/bottles. No ‘buts’ here, all killer no filler

The staff are all super knowledgable of the drinks they have on tap and they always have a great selection to choose from.The food is reasonably priced with decent portions.Great vibes and solid taste in music.The nachos we had were amazing, the corn chips were so good I wish I had asked where they were sourced from. Ive been going to Vultures for years now and keep returning. They offer a large array of different craft beers that cater to a wide variety of tastes and preferences & often play host to beer events from breweries both local and from afar. There is typically sport on the various large screen TVs. The food can be a little up and down depending on how busy it is but on the whole its acceptable. At times it can be difficult to get a seat or be served but thats because its a popular spot in a prime central Auckland location so to be expected.

One of my favourite bar. Great choice on beers. Staff are friendly. If you are looking for a craft beer bar. This one wont be wrong.

Good range of craft beers. Very relaxed traditional bar. Decent food and a great deal on Pie and Pint for $20. Pies are great from what colleagues tell me - but never any vegetarian pies unfortunately.

Wow just blown away with the great experience!!! Probably the best bar i ever went to for nice craft beers and food. The staff is amazing, great ambience and food to absolutely die for. Must try jerk fried chicken and fries. Will be coming again for sure.

Good old school vibe pub with a good beer selection

Oh man! There is nothing bad to say about this place. Firstly, the staff are awesome, so friendly and knowledgeable! Additional to this is the incredible craft beer list and beautiful food. I only had the olives and if theyre anything to go by, you will not be disappointed. They are marinated better than any Ive ever had, theyve incorporated fennel root, whole chilli, the finest olive oil, herbs, many different types of olives, bay leaf, and garlic. The beer was great! If I could rate this place 6/5 I would. Thanks team!!

Ended up with five hours to kill in Auckland CBD so popped in here to do some writing over a few beers. Not a lot to say really but the beer selection was good - a nice range of sours and ciders and the standard hoppy beers that everyone else seems to enjoy and the staff were unpretentious, friendly, and knowledgeable.Downsides were: a variety of clientele - including some screeching folks betting on horses, knocking chairs over, spilling my beer and screaming a lot (though there were plenty of very pleasant friendly folk too), American football playing on the TVs. Not too many downsides to be fair. I enjoyed my beers and got some writing done whilst staying dry on a day of torrential rain so was a win for me. Happily recommend to others as a low key place for a beer in the cbd.

One of Vulcan lanes (and the CBDsgems. Great service, casual vibe. Its popular on the busy nights so get in early. For pub food they take it seriously and it shows, everything is great. They possibly do the best cheeseburger in Auckland. Be hungry though, portions are generous. Well worth your time, whatever the occasion.

Came here on a really busy night with some workmates and they do some pretty good pub food. Cool vibe too, although it does get quite packed inside. Nice place to come for some drinks or to catch up with friends.

Had a few beers here a little while back, what an epic selection of beers? Nice little nook to enjoy a few and have some banter with mates. I didn’t try the food but it looked good. If you like craft beer you’ll like this place, top notch.

Nice selection of craft beer and a good atmosphere. The food menu leaves a bit to be desired but if you take it as pub food and useful for filling you up a bit so you can keep drinking then its fine.

Never seen a place with such a huge selection of craft beer and good food at the same time. The staff helps you finding the perfect beer for you and they also have a nice terrace to enjoy the weather and people walking by. Definitely can recommend this place and would go there again.

Another great bar with a very broad selecruon of beers and a very knowledgable staff. We were able to find quite a few new beers we might not have tried after getting good inout from the bartender after our first round. They were accomodating to us and our 7 month old, and we would certainly go back again!

Randomly stopped here for a few pints while exploring Auckland; friendly bartenders, great selection of awesome beers, decent prices, staff was constantly picking up glasses and keeping tables clear, and the food ain’t bad for a pub. We ended up coming back a couple more times, especially for the red ipa they had on tap.Place gets quite busy after work hours, good loud bustling vibe. Recommended.

Awesome little pub with an incredible range of NZ brews. Lots of Behemoth brews which I enjoyed sampling! If you enjoy craft beer this place is definitely worth stopping at.

Vulcan Lane, The iconic place to be for quick lunch or a cigarette under the tree. You can find burger restaurant, Japanese restaurant in a few pubs here. There are seven public benches What are you to sit down and relax. One thing I notice is that the building has the classic look and design from the early 1930’s - Greek triangles and Roman columns architectural design style.

Some decent beers and the barman made a good recommendation. My friends were slightly tipsy and the bar staff refused to serve them more drinks (which is understandable). Good to see they were responsible but I think they could have been more friendly about it.

Great selection of beers. Staff can be a bit too cool for school but I guess thats part of the allure of this place. Great wings, fast service and its always piping hot. Great place to sample a few new beers.

The prices have gone up yet the bar staff persist in being so unwelcoming AND dont full the glass up. Its not red wine !! The choice of NZ beers is good shame its so expensive and unfriendly. Its 7pm on a dry Saturday night there is 8 people here yet her so "cool" he. Ant be friendly nor fill the glass up

Stopped by for one of the fresh hop beers event in Auckland. We came here since they were one of the few bars that were participating. It is located between Queen and High Street on Vulcan lane.Friendly service and they do have small bites and burgers available. The buttermilk fried chicken was nuggets of chicken served with BBQ sauce.Fairly small pub with seating both inside and out.

One of the best bars in Auckland for craft beer. A large selection on tap rotating always something new and interesting to choose from. Two hand pulls I believe too. Has an American bar food type menu which obviously goes great with the beers!
