Klingenstrasse 33, 8005 Zürich, Switzerland, Zürich (Kreis 12)
Restaurant with Asian-style carved screens & wall lamps, serving traditional Indian & Thai cuisine.
Is it possible to get a job here at this restaurant? Am from India and really want to work with you
Better than other Indian restaurants. But the food is not as spicy I would even say it’s bland. We had ordered chicken chettinad which is supposed to be extremely spicy but was not at all spicy. Peshawari naan is basically coconut naan. Avoid them.
Worst attitude possible by the owner of the restaurant tried food thrice
Best indian restaurant in Town. Wow!
Beautiful location. Authentic experience. Amazing food. I love that they are conscious of dietary needs and restrictions. This is definitely my new go to when I am in Zurich!
Best Indian food in Zurich
The best Indian food in Zurich. The quality excellent and service was perfect. So delicious and recommended must visit and try.
Love the food and service .Thank you Mr.Balwinder.
Good service, extensive menu and good quality food.Dont let them seat you on the left side of the restaurant, its not very peaceful. You get bombarded by food-delivery people doing pick ups.
Amazing food, amazing service. However. Be warned that 1L of water will cost you 11CHF!!!
Im writing this review to express my frustration against the owner. You cant treat people the way you treated the uber driver working. Its not the first time I see lack of respect from this owner. If you cant respect people then why would I want to eat your food.
Any vacancy in kitchen Indian curry & Tandoor is it poss
Hi sir Just send a mail please check Narender from New Delhi Indian
Been here several times before Covid lockdowns. Still great. Very hospitable team. Superb food. Kadai chicken ( requested extra green chilli Weswith garlic naan. Superb food. 10mins walk from the main station in a quiet location.
Really nice authentic Indian Restaurant in Town.I really recommend it. Their garlic Naan is mindbogglingly amazing 😉😉😉
Very good food Indian in Zürich
The food was very delicious! The staff were super friendly too. The selection of the menu was very broad with lots of vegetarian options and many different kinds of indian breads. They also accommodate for different kinds of spice levels, so it’s suitable for many people. The place was also very clean and the seats were comfortable too. The decoration and furniture suits this restaurant well too. If you’re looking for indian cuisine in Zürich, you should definitely try this restaurant despite its distance from the main shopping streets.
Excellent indian restaurant. Not the cheapest, but awesome kitchen..fast serving. The menu is big in selection available. They speak english.
I ordered Ghost Masala and roti. Although it wasn’t as spicy as I would have liked it was still good. I would recommend it
We have been to Zurich for about 4 days, the best food we have eaten so far in Zurich. Wonderful taste. Thank you Vulkans team
Really nice Food! I ordered Tandoori Sangam with Naan. The food was really delicious and the Naan bred was soo crispy. They have also a Authentic Tandoor, so you get the best food in town. Service was friendly und the deco 10/10 ! Location is perfect, just 5 min walk from Zurich HB.Definitely best Indian Restaurant in Zurich!!!
This is Zurichs premiere restaurant for East Indian cuisine. Very friendly staff and a well maintained, clean establishment. The food is wonderful and generously portioned. Just 7 mins walk from Zurich Main Station.
Best indian restaurant in town, with freshly made food and good service. The owners are very warm and hospitable.
Best Indian Restaurant in Zurich. They also have Jain/Swaminarayan options. Hospitality was great. Nice indian ambience. Overall great experience!
The food is not bad but also not too good. They’ve charged 6 CFH for 1 liter of tap water. The portions are quite small. And mango lassi seemed to have been diluted with water. I have had much better mango lassi in other places in Zurich.
Fantastic place. Very warm, beautiful and cozy ambiance. Absolutely delicious Indian food. Dinner here was a delightful experience.Update: 4 years later its still every bit as good. This is definitely one of the very best restaurants in town.
Some of the best Indian food I’ve had! Highly recommend it
One of the best Indian vegetarian food I ever had in Zurich!
Food is good. Rice portion is little.
An amazing dine in experience in Zurich for Indian food.
As Indian taste the food was okay we heard it was good but my experience isnt good. The taste not upto the mark it lacked the touch of spices.
So expensive food and you will get 4 spoon of biriyani for 35 chf !! And tasteless never recommend this place in ubereats or direct
Delicious food in general especially the beryani lahm and chicken tikka masala .. excellent stuff
A Shame. I consider going personally to pick up the food instead of buying by eat.ch and they charge CHF 1.- to CHF 2.50 more on each Take away food. Food is already quite expensive but this is insane. Is it a Corona extra charge? Sorry, but not this way.
Update: went back 2 years later. Food still not good, especially for the price. Ill probably give it another few years before trying again. Downgrade to 1*.Original review: Id say its fine if youre hungry, but certainly dont travel to get to it.The food was okay but a bit heavy and didnt stand out for me from other similar places. Menu is long and has all the usual things. The decor is quaint.Service was really slow, but generally friendly.Wouldnt go back, but its not like I have massive regrets. Make sure your company is good when you go here, otherwise you will not have a good time.
We were charged CHF 17 for still water. The waiter gave 2 options- sparkling & still water. We opted for still water thinking that obviously there wont be any charges for still water. When the bill came , we were shocked to see CHF 17 for still water. We asked how can you charge 17 for just STILL water, to which the waiter got very rude and started giving some non-sense excuse and started blaming us and finally said that we should have been more cautious and should have asked for tap water. Even though the food was good, i will give negative reviews for bad behaviour of the employee.I will never go again to this restaurant and will give same feedback to others as well.
Came here on the recommendation of an Indian friend, who said this place has the best Indian food in town. However, none of the customers here were Indian, and our food was extremely bland. Our first choice remains one that serves Indian tour buses, with actual Indians to please.
This is the best Indian food I’ve eaten outside of India. I’ve eaten here multiple times and every time it was great. All the dishes I tried were delicious, staff was fast and friendly. Price to quality ratio is good!
Great place for Northern Indian food near the Zurich main station. All the dishedbwe ordered were tasty and not too spicy. Elthey have a Tandoori oven, so these dishes are particularly recommended. Staff was friendly and fast. This restaurant can fill up quickly, so reservations might be needed.
The food was exquisite and authentic. The service was really nice as well. Though the price is more than the average Indian restaurants in Zürich, this is undoubtedly the best Indian restaurant in Zürich. The portion size is a bit small, but the food was really tasty.
We had good experience. Food was good in taste and authentic indian. Main course veg curries cost around 25 CHF and i feel portion is less for 2 people so it is something owner needs to think off. Service was okay and they have a clean bathroom as well. Close to central station so another advantage.
Very very good food and amazing ambience. Gives a very authentic Indian feeling to the place. My issue is that although the restaurant says "open till 12 am" on Google, the kitchen closes before 10.30 pm and Ive traveled long distances just to be turned down because of this. Turns out many of my friends had the same experience.
Short Summary:Amazing food, good ambience, punjabi owners!Went to this restaurant on my visit to Zurich. Initially the restaurant feels like a proper swiss restaurant with tables also in the open but when you enter inside you realise the “Indian-ness” of it.The owner is a proper punjabi family who in our case was sitting one of the tables. One of the owners herself is a cook and we saw her serve as well on one of the occasions.Very down to earth, very friendly and a very good hostess. The menu covered all the basic indian dishes along with the some specials (eg. bhindi masala). The food tasted really well. Even the basic things like Aloo Jeera tasted amazing with the right amount of spice that you expect from a punjabi restaurant.Other special beverages such as Mango Lassi are also a must try (don’t just drink alcohol there).Definitely recommended if you are in Zurich and looking for amazing Indian Food. Its also just 600m from Marriot Hotel, so easily walkable if you are staying there.
We had a very bad experience..we were 6 adults and kids.we ordered 3 dishes. But the staff who attended us told we have to order 4 dishes minimum.otherwise order cannot be accepted. They are putting table cover ,glasses on the table etc.!!!!Hence we have to order one extra dish whether we need it or not..!!!We were there 8 days in Switzerland..this is the first experience of its kind..He didnt even consider we were family with even kids under 3 years.I have been to many restaurants in many countries..This is the worst experience I had.We had to move out and look for other indian restaurant..I wont recommend this restaurant to anyone!!!!
I don’t normally post but the Food was amazing. Taste was equal to if not better than most Mumbai restaurants. Short staffed, but worth the wait. We ordered Shahi Paneer and Bhindi do Pyazza with tandoori soft roti. A must stop if you are in Zurich!
We just had been to the restaurant based on ratings and reviews. But, the staff behaved inappropriate way and the manager refused to even talk. We left the place without having food but but no one bothered. We were placing orders of 3-4 items from the menu but the staff was insisting on the items from the menu he wanted us to have.......not expected in a place like Zürich. It’s our experience of the place.
The interior is nice and cozy, however the waiter seems quite uninterested and does not give a polite welcoming. Hes there only because he must.As for the food, it is tasty indeed, however for the price (CHF 30 and up excl. side dishthe dishes are too small and you end up leaving the place hungry and a bit unsatisfied because of the money paid. I do not recommend this place if youre hungry. That said, this place got great potential if the waiter starts smiling and the portions amp up to normal size
Well setup restaurant with good tasty food. Service also upto the mark. Had food at several indian restaurants, this is one of the best places in Zurich to Eat indian cuisine. I had vegetarian food and it was good. If you are from india, do not expect it to match up to our local restaurant taste but at the same time do not expect nothing. Prices are a bit high so do not order while converting, just go there and eat the food.
After trying six different Indian restaurants in Zurich, i find this serve best Indian food.Space is really spacious. Ambience and decoration is really good.We found restaurant Staff really good and we were given very warm welcome.I will recommend this restaurant to everyone who want to try Indian cuisine at its best.
Food was pretty good. They served an indian buffet for lunch. There were a few dishes and the taste was alright. The staff was not at all friendly and was quite insensitive. We had a small 5 year old girl with us and they even charged us for that the full 21 💶.
