Vrakas in Irakleion

To the OWNER: Why are you running this restaurant?! You should feel ashamed! It’s a SCAM! We were 4 ppl. We ordered food which was terrible, awful. My chicken in souvlaki was smelling, my friend’s spaghetti bolognese was like a dog food disgusting You wanna poison the clients? Get some responsibility! NEVER go there!

Terrible place. The food was disgusting and overpriced. Even Geek salad was not fresh.

La comida RIQUÍSIMA. Pedimos una cerveza de 0,5l, agua de 1l, una ensalada, tsatsiki, hojas rellenas y musaka y estaba todo perfecto. Todos los camareros encantadores y de precio fenomenal!!!!! Mucho mejor que otros restaurantes de la zona, y salimos a 36€ en total! Si vuelvo a Creta sin duda repetiría aquí!

Food arrived at diferent times. Even with only 3 dishes.Moussaka was good but took forever, calamares were so and so with no vegetables side.To bring it all down, they charged for the bread bin that we actually ask them to retrieve from the table.A mess.

Very bad food, the worst place to eat in Crete. The shrimp was over cooked and the mussels not cooked at all, it is also very expensive for the bad quality of food they sell

This place has been empty a few times when I walked past. I took advantage of a lull last evening.The staff were nice, food was reasonable and the home made wine worth a try.As usual for me I declined afters, but they did provide some Raki on the house. The bill was €25.00 and I gratefully left a 20% tip. Thank you.

delicious food, quick delivery and great service. this restaurant is definitely worth visiting. fair prices. just be prepared for the big portions

Wonderful service and tasty dishes. Portions were huge - it might have been better to share. They gave us an amazing slice of cheesecake with strawberry preserves at the end of our meal. We were so stuffed but we could not waste a crumb!

Σε ένα πολύ κεντρικό σημείο της πόλης, με τον Κούλε στα πόδια σου. Ο Αντώνης και η Μαρία εξυπηρετικότατοι, φιλικοί και επαγγελματίες.Είχαμε άμεση εξυπηρέτηση, τα φαγητά ήταν πολύ νόστιμα (παραγγείλαμε χορτοφαγικά πιάτακαι μας κέρασαν πολύ ωραίο γλυκό και ρακή στο τέλος!Σίγουρα θα ξαναπάμε!

Fish soup is excellent!

This was a great stop for lunch during our trip to Heraklion. The staff were welcoming and hospitable. When we sat down they brought us a few sample appetizers to try. Our server walked us through the menu letting us know which of the seafood items had been caught fresh that morning. The steamed mussels were some of the best I’ve ever had and everything else we ordered was delicious. I would highly recommend Vrakas for fresh seafood and friendly service!

Φοβερο φαγητό, καταπληκτική εξυπηρέτηση, ο Αντώνης (ιδιοκτήτηςείναι ένας άνθρωπος που γνωρίζει πως να σε κάνει να νιώσεις σαν το σπίτι σου. Το φαγητό είναι από τα καλύτερα με μεγάλες ποσότητες, μοναδικες γεύσεις (το χταπόδι μαριναρισμενο σε εσπεριδοειδή ΔΕΝ έχετε φάει πιο μαλακό χταπόδι!!!!...5 αστερια κ 6 και 7 θα έλεγα!

Tonight we went to Brakas restaurant and had a great night out.The place serves many plates, presenting traditional tastes with a creative, gourmet twist and modern appearance.The prices are reasonable for a seafood place.At the beginning, they offer you a shot of fish soup and sauces on the side, which were unexpected and interesting.Regarding the food, the fried fish and the shrimp saganaki stood out as the most delicious, while the fried zucchini and the seafood kritharoto were bad and boring, respectively, as the first didnt remind me of zucchini (it was mostly fried flourand the second didnt contain that much seafood (it was a tasteful as a plain kritharoto, not a seafood one)Regarding the customer service, although the people that served us were polite and the service was quick (the place wasnt crowded),I got annoyed because they didnt wear their covid protection masks correctly/at all (the mask was at best below the upper lip, more often it rested below the chinas they are obliged by the current anti-covid measures.I know that wearing a mask at work can be difficult, but since we are in the middle of the pandemic (and on the beginning of a new surge of casesI find this behaviour totally irresponsible and dangerous and it really hurt my experience.At least, hand sanitizers were provided

Be aware. We were served badly spoiled mussels and shrimp. Also another table got spoiled mussels. Lets hope we do not get sick after the first and only bite.
