Voynich Cafe & Pub in Targu-Mures

Chilled but very fun little bar. Friendly staff and good vibe. By chance we were there on the night of their pub quiz (although we couldnt join in because we didnt speak Romanian!)

The cocktails aren’t that good

Seems to be well reviewed but I thought it was average. I got the impression it was going to be heavy on craft beers but the selection was pretty standard. Service was good, it just was not the place I was expecting.

Very kind administrator and barman. Would recommand it to locals and tourists both. One of the best places in the town with good music and people. No other place can beat its vibe. 10 out of 5.

Great prices for a great servixe, they got quiz nights and karaoke, great view on the citadel, and you can order pizza from around the corner.2 years later edit: The staff is as great as always, and polite. Whenever I visit Sighișoara I must have a day time coffee here and a night time beer. There is no other bar in Sighișoara that has evolved in such a nice and great way over the years like Voynich!

The staff is amazing and you can find awesome people there. Sometimes there are 2 guys playing the guitar. I love it!

Suuuuper friendly and helpful staff! If you’re going to Sighişoara and have free evening - I’d definitely recommend it. I’ve been 4 times during 6 days in Sighi :Plus, there’s dart - if you’re into it. We also participated in local quiz but since it was in Romanian.. pub was full of young, hipster-artistic looking people.

We spent the New Years Eve here and the place is quite cosy with every item (chairs, tables or lampsbeing one of a kind. It is a small place where you can find all sort of drinks and friendly hosts.

Its very cozy place with a good assortment of drinks. The owners are very friendly and care about your experience.

Service and atmosphere were great! Drinks had good prices and they were very attentive. As a solo traveler, I thought it was very nice that the bartenders talked to me and seemed genuinely interested. I didn’t order food, but someone nearby ordered a pizza and it was huge!

The best place to come for a drink after a bike ride!Of course, they have a bike parking rack.

Definitily the place to be in Sighisoara if you like good drinks, friendly staff and darts games :everything you want about a pub you have it here in the heart of transylvania ... so i strongly recommand this who has an more better atmosphere than all the devitalised lounge bars in the city :AND they have expresso machine :)
