Ghost tour shed some light on this place and it did not disappoint. My daughter purchased some really nice books for incense etc. I was able to receive a tarot reading which was insightful. Overall good experience

I had an incredible experience during my Tarot reading with Kamille. Her insights were incredibly astute and her warm and open heart made her such a joy to spend time with. Her approach to the Tarot made me excited to delve deep and open up. She also has an incredible personality that makes communicating on many different levels so easy. I will be back when im back in Nola. She also offers phone sessions!

I got a tarot card reading there from papa Zaar, he told me some interesting stuff and he also knew things about me that I didnt mention.

One of the few legit places. It feels "right", not "sterile", and they genuinely care about your spiritual well-being.Not a money farm, respectful of the spirits, and just a positive place. Highly recommend.

Great place. For any Cubans out there its voodoo and santeria are basically the same thing. There were a lot of altars throughout the store with people touching them which in my opinion was disrespectful but alas it is a tourist spot. The assistant was very nice and they do have an area for readings. Overall its a good store definitely on the higher end for some items but there are some very affordable.

I went here as part of a self-guided ghost tour of New Orleans with my son and was attracted to this particular Voodoo shop, of which there are several in the French Quarter, because it is run bye actual practitioners of some of these religious practices. The selection of objects inside was certainly eclectic and varied, without too many of the gimmicky trinkets that you can find in some of the other shops in the area. A short conversation with a member of the staff certainly held up what I had been told about this establishment being rather authentic. If you are in the French Quarter and looking to stop into a Voodoo shop, this is the one! Highly recommended!

One of the more authentic voodoo establishments advertised online (as the name suggests). Seemed to have a wide variety of well-done handmade items. Worth a stop in, even if just to admire the craftsmanship.

I dont know how Authentic this place really is.It did have a lot of nice stuff though.just have to keep in mind that it is in the French quarter so take everything with a grain of salt.

Neat store. Friendly employees. Lots of items sure to catch your attention when browsing the offerings. Worth a look and 15 to 30 minutes if youre in need of mugwort, voodoo dolls, candles, and totems.

We went twice during our trip and had a great experience both times. Theres a huge selection of items and the staff is great.

Nothing authentic about it. Went on a recommendation and was disappointed. Definitely a tourist trap. Almost everything is labeled as "African," as if it was only made up of one country.

Its a very cool place. Some stuff are tourist priced, but either way theres definitely something for every lover of the strange and magik. The staff was super friendly. Its definitely a must visit.

I just had e reading with them. He gives advice; it’s more what friends would tell you with the cards helping. I did two readings in one day and I think if you want to be uncomfortable you should try New Orelans Voodoo Psychic. It was a work of difference and I thought of wow. So yeah try, he isn’t bad though. It’s more just fun but nothing serious. Almost entertaining.

Its downright offensive and disrespectful when a voodoo shop claims to be authentic when its not owned by a Black person. Black people were killed for practicing voodoo and now you have non Black people on the very same land "owning" voodoo shops and making a profit from it. Its in extremely poor taste. I came to New Orleans thinking i would see the true descendents of the people who brought voodoo with them but nope.

I stopped in here after hearing so much buzz about it from the locals while on vacation in NOLA.What an amazing space and place! I’ve never done sage or gris gris bags but was looking to cleanse my home after removing a narcissistic ex... the woman behind the counter was so kind and helpful. She answered my questions, let me know how to use the items. I will be ordering from here again!

The woman who worked there helped me to find potion oil to help with bad dreams. I can’t wait to try it. Super interesting shop, you must go in and see what they have!

Authentic is the right description. Respected is another. The other businesses and tour guides all speak highly of them, and they can add another admirer to their list after my visit. A French Quarter must!

Interesting selection of items. I do think there could be a few more explanations of how and what some of the things mean, represent, and origins. Check out can be extremely slow especially if people are scheduling readings.

I will give this place a 5 star especially Ms cate she is so nice to me she will do all she can to help anybody this is the sweetest person I ever can meet she knows how to talk to you and knows how to treat her customers I’m from Alabama and every thing she did for me trust me it’s working and doing it’s job this is every man’s dream when it comes to spiritual work !!! This place was one of my favorites that I went unto while in NOLA. The staff I met was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable. Super friendly and the vibe of the shop is just perfect... I could have stayed in here all day. Love the apothecary! Found a couple of things I wasnt able to find in Oklahoma. :If you are in Nola, you better stop by!

Voodoo Authentica is located in a very populated area. They offer a variety of voodoo-related items and readings. The vibes were great here, I definitely recommend visiting what they have to offer!

Camille Camille Camille is all that I can say. The guy in there too is awesome as well. This place is so authentic. Its one of the rarest that do exist still today in NOLA. Ive gotten two readings done and theyve been official. Ive brought my mom with me the second time because of my first experience. Ive sent my kids great grandmother here for a reading via phone in Jersey and she is flying in to meet a referral from Camille. Gris Gris bags and oils anoint the entrance of the store and towards the back, youll find everything from artifacts, spells, candles potients, dolls and so much more. Tucked away but well known location. Highly recommend. I love love love the guy in the front. Hes so real and helpful

This is the only authentic voodoo shop in New Orleans , it was recommended to us during our Voodoo tour. The shop is cosy and full of fascinating merchandise, loads from independent artists. Staff is very knowledgeable and is happy to answer any questions. Will definitely be coming back if Im ever in town again.

Friendly staff. Neat little shop and they had no problem with my service dog. Much more authentic compared to Marie Laveau house of voodoo. Much less crowded also, could actually walk around and study the different artifacts and cool trinkets.

Amazing! Good energy as soon as you walk through the door. Pieces from several different cultures and the staff gives a detailed explanation to offer items to a variety of customers. Everyone is so friendly. Love this place! Tourist friendly. 10/10. 100%!

This place came highly recommended by our ghost and vampire tour guide.. it was lovely. Fabulous energy, informative kind staff who all were involved in helping me with my search for the perfect gifts for my girls. Great vibe (seriously, it just feels safe and homey in thereand a staff that really knows their stuff! I’ve got a similar background, but honestly didn’t know that much about voodoo. Everyone was wonderful to talk to, and that’s from someone who usually stays away from sales reps on the floor as much as possible. Also got a reading from Kamille and we were laughing together as much as she was telling it like it is from the cards. If you’re curious about voodoo, want a legit tarot reading, or just want a souvenir that’s a little more interesting than a novelty shot glass, totally check it out!

I cannot say enough good things about my experience. I went because I was looking for traditions and folklore in my culture with female representations that resonated ….. I hit on the traditions of Santeria, which brought me to the shop.I am a non- believer, but whatever magic they weave, call it kindness, happiness or just a true sense of welcome, it makes you feel good.Also my reading was eerily accurate (I say this several months on).Thank you and my gris-grid bags still smell delicious.

This place is incredible. The owner is delightful, helpful and so knowledgeable about craft and spell work. The items in the shop are authentic and real - nothing touristy or only there to make $$. We stumbled across this place while on a 3-in-1 tour and came back 3x…we were drawn to this place. My husband and I got a reading each from Papa Zar who is…we cannot describe how prolific and down-to-earth he is and how eye-opening the readings were. No gimmicks! He knows his gift and is there to tell you what and how it is based on what you provide. A MUST GO!!!!

This was an authentic experience. It was such a rollercoaster emotional time. I was not sure what to expect with my tarot reading. I was in shock. The staff were very kind to me.If you are unsure, definitely do it.I booked over the phone and made my appointment for the next day.

Amazing shop full of very knowledgeable employees. We bought a voodoo doll from here specifically for new life changes. Within a month I had a new job in a city that I always dreamed of moving too. We sold our house in 1 day , way over asking price, and were able to find a beautiful apartment in our target location. So thankful for finding this shop!!

We stumbled across this place on a walk about. The staff here was awesome they took the time to tell us about many of the items including the voodoo shrines. The items here also seemed far more genuine than a lot of the things we saw in other shops. Definitely would recommend this shop to anyone that is curious about voodoo.

Yes! Money oil! Must experience for yourself! It is as paper states, DO expect results! Havent tried other products, but Im sure it will be just as amazing! Each person or situation may vary, but it has only been two or three days, and seeing results! Store itself is nice, clean, with a variety selection. Reasonable prices. I read about this store online before we came to Louisiana and it was on my list to see. They have a very interesting supply of things. My favorite were the dolls! They also off a reading.

Its got that New Orleans flavor. Get stuff in person, buy it online. Get it shipped. Listen to the elders of the sacred African traditions tell you a story, sing a song, share thier joy. Even on a busy night you get that feeling from the big easy. Take your time. Find what you need. We all happy here.

This is a great store. Amazing selection of art, artefacts, books, herbs, oils. Everything you could desire in one place. You can have charms made to order which was an excellent service. The real deal. Recommended.

We Went On A Tour of The Cemetery And it Was Very Interesting & Informative!

Amazing store! I only wish that we could have shared pictures of the inside, but that is part of the mystique and beauty of this treasure we found. The shrines were well maintained and beautiful, everything was handmade, and the skeptic in me was shocked by the aura and feeling I experienced entering. No Marie Laveaus for me, this is the real deal!
