Viva Taqueria in Modesto

It was ok. Shrimp salad had really small shrimps.. wont get that again.. burrito was good. Tacos too were good. I come here almost every week I really do enjoy the food here I have tried the tacos, burritos the carne asada plate which were awesome!

Nice friendly staff, great for a quick Mexican food stop during lunch time. Was empty during lunch time, looks like its a food spot for the local employees that work close to this restaurant. You get your food brought to your table. You have the option for drink refills and a stand to get as much as you want of extras for your foodlemon, sauces etc. They have horchata drink and it tasted good!

Great restaurant and the food was fantastic. Being harassed by the homeless people living in the parking lot was not great or fantastic.

The food was great! But they need to get rid of the homeless camp next to them. I was visiting Modesto and I would never go inside the restaurant without my husband with me. It’s to bad because restaurant and food were great

I love this place. I go all the time but tonight I ordered 3 plates of Asada fries and the plates were basically empty. Wheres the girl that usually works? She hooked it up.

Theyre food was so delicious and very authentic, I would really eat there everyday but sadly I live 1200 miles away. I highly recommend it.

Very nice spacious place. They have really good tasty food. My shrimp quesadilla was great. There is a big salsa bar, soda machine and drinks like jamaica and horchata. Theres a nice fountain inside the taqueria

I had a couple off suadero tacos. The meat was kind of tough but I had a pastor sope that made up for that. The agua de limón was good and the guac salsa was top notch.

Been coming here since we moved to the area. Food is always consistent, always friendly, and great service. Carne Asada fries and the shrimp burrito are staples whenever I go!

One of the best places to eat anywhere. Staff is wonderful and kind. Food is delicious. Taco lunch special is my go to and it has never failed me.

Salsa was to hot couldnt eat eat. My chili verse was to hot. Couldnt enjoy the food because it was to chili hot we couldnt eat are food. They need to make the food mild. Because not everyone can eat food that hot. Wont eat there again and I will tell family and friends not to eat there either. I was very disappointed.

Food is always delicious and service is always exceptional. I work close to the area so only get 30 minutes for lunch, right when you order food is being cooked. They are super fast serving.

I honestly havent felt as comfortable as I do Viva Taqueria. I have tried other places and none compared to the food and kind owners. I would give 10 stars if I could. 🥰

Food is delicious and fresh. I wish their spicy salsa was spicier. Staff is friendly, welcoming and always willing to help you decide on a dish. They also offer great lunch specials. Definitely a go-to for lunch for me and my coworkers. Service is fast.

This is the first place where I go to get food where the people are friendly and nice. My boyfriend would tell me how nice they were and that the food was good. I ordered over the phone and it was fast and friendly. During pick up time, the food was ready. The lady was really friendly and nice and not in a fake way but she meant it. I didnt get to eat this time but the tacos looked great. I ordered only meat tacos for nephew and they had a lot of meat compared to other places Ive gone. I totally recommend.* Torta, tacos, and the asada fries are tasty.

The food here is good, and they have some menu items I do t normally see. But what really sells this place is the couple that run it. They are kind and attentive, and I feel welcome everytime I come here.

The food was made in front of our eyes. The customer service from them was Extraordinary! They were so nice to us, sharing stories and laughs will definitely make us come back very soon! Stopped in and got a carne asada super burrito husband got the same but with chicken with chips. The guy at the counter was very nice. Our food was done by the time we got our salsa from the salsa bar. Now the food was really good and its so hard to find a place in Vegas that has whole beans in their burritos so it was like heaven. It was worth the mile walk from where my husband parked his truck.

Its not the best mexican food ever, but its pretty solid. The service is quick, and the food has a good amount of flavor without it being drenched in oil or fat. Plus, this is probably one of the few places were you can actually get a decent churro.

Good food amd the restaurant is pretty clean. Rarely super busy so you can be in out pretty quickly. Consistant staff with great attitudes. Just have to be careful with locking your cars since not in the best part of town.

My family and I really enjoy this place, the food is always on point👍Their chile verda is delicious. The chips are excellent,I like the hint of lime not to salty as well. My daughter also loves the water fountain in the middle of the taqueria. The employees are polite and freindly.We definitely will be going back. Thank you Viva!!

Great place my brother took me here and i live so close to this place for the past 4 years and I have never been here. We will be by more often. Great service food was delicious. And price was way better than any other Mexican food place you would spend twice as much at for food that is half as good

This is our FAVORITE place to eat! The food here is great, and the staff is always really nice. Its quick, affordable, and I love the atmosphere. Plus, I usually end up with leftovers to take home for later! I think this will always be my favorite mexican food spot.

Excellent pozole on the weekends. Tasty chips and salsa with a good variety of salsa at the salsa bar. Average prices with big portions. I usually get the super nachos or super burrito because theyre my favorites. If youre passing through or local I would recommend trying this place.

The Food here is AMAZING !!!! The best mexican food ive tried!! Everything is nicely cooked, great seasoning, great and friendly helpful staff. Such a comfortable and quiet place to eat at with your family. Id definately recommend this restaurant!! Ill be sure to come back again !

Didnt have much time, but these tacos were fantastic! Theres a lunch deal 4 for $6. They also have this salsa that, I think, has chipotle in it that blows my mind. A good lunch spot!

Ive been to this place twice. I ordered menudo the first time and they forgot to put hominy and also brought me cold tortillas. I decided that it wasnt that big of a deal, mistakes can be made and they did correct it. So when I went again and ordered the shrimp cocktail, i immediately regretted it. There was pieces of ice in it and it only consisted of onion, huge chunks or shoring and avocado. I will NOT be visiting again.

Lady at the register was warm and friendly. I ordered a chicken burrito w/ rice and beans. Chips and salsa are complimentary. The food was ready before I even chose my table! The meal was delicious overall. The flavors were well-balanced, the portion size was quite large. The rice and beans were good, the chips were crispy and the salsas tasty. Even the coke I had was crispy and dialed-in perfectly.The dining area is very spacious, no cramming in with other guests. There was a good UFC fight on TV which was a bonus. The price might be a couple dollars higher than others places, but worth it when you factor in what you actually get with the total experience.I drive a semi and Ive eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants. For either a quick lunch stop, or a place to come with your friends and family to take your time, this place gets high marks. Will definitely come back here.

Rudest staff I have ever come across. Used to enjoy eating here. Decided to take my boyfriend out to eat and when he requested that the chicken be made fresh when making his food, the stupid cashier didnt think we were bilingual and said "If he wanted the chicken fresh to go and kill the chicken himself." We were going to let that slide and I said Id call the manager in the morning....the cook rang the bell and the cashier who was mopping went to get the food and did not wash her hands to pick up the food to bring to us. When we informed her why we didnt want to eat their and we wanted our money back she looked surprised. She did not want to give me a refund...then she wanted to charge me for just the drinks...she gave me the ugliest attitude as well. And claimed the chef was also the opening manager and the closing manager as well as the chef. BS lies!! If you want five star service do NOT go here!! Disgusting food handling, disgusting service, && all around disgusting attitude.
