Vitality Bowls Lubbock - Health food restaurant in Lubbock, United States
Had a late lunch here yesterday ordered the Vitality bowl and the tropical smoothie. Both were amazing. About 21 dollars for the two items, more on the expensive side but worth it if you need a good pick me up or burst of healthy energy for the day.
It is so sad people are able to tell stories that might not be true about a small business. It shouldn’t be allowed without both sides. The “30” minute ticket time was actually 13. It was looked up. Everyone was in the back because they were making orders. As they should be. If you ever have an issue, especially in a small business, all you have to do is call them! The owner or manager ALWAYS makes it right. Posting inaccurate stories is not the solution. Yes we talk. Yes we have fun but it’s not at the expense of your order. If you see us talking though the window it is OK!!! ❤️❤️ We are also making orders.
Poor service! All staffs are in the back area. Took them a while to come out and get our order. Not friendly! It took them 30 minutes or more just to prepare two açaí bowls order. they just chat away in the back, could care less if customers are waiting!
We have ordered from this location every time we are in town. Unfortunately, both of our bowls were barely chilled last night *had to freeze for 2+ hours). This mornings order was placed 40 min in advance, and they did not begin the order until we arrived. A simple phone call or email would have been nice, but they must have forgotten about the order until we arrived. I was given a Door Dash excuse--no apology--it was an obvious oversight on their part. My daughter was almost late to class. We will not be back. Id rather drive an extra 5 minutes to Keva every day than to spend this kind of money and have to wait an hour with no apology.
i was pretty excited to try vitality however i ordered the green glow bowl to go and when i got home quickly noticed there was no chicken in my bowl lol. so i paid $14 for a bowl of veggies. very let down cause this kind of place is right up my alley. don’t know if i’ll be going back
It was a long wait and a lot of money for something I could just make at home. Customer service wasn’t very good either. My girlfriend suggested we try it out and even she said it was a terrible experience
This is exactly what Lubbock has been missing! As someone who has been eating plant based for the better part of 12 years, eating out in Lubbock has always been a bit of a struggle. Enter Vitality Bowls! They have terrific plant based breakfast and lunch options ranging from juices and smoothies to açaí bowls to salads, grain bowls, toasts, and wraps with no added sugars. My husband who is definitely not plant based/ vegan and I both got and enjoyed a green juice. I also had a lemon ginger shot that was probably the best one I’ve ever had anywhere and we travel often. I scooped up a superfoods açaí bowl for breakfast and also had them modify the green goddess bowl to fit my needs to take with me for a lunch later. The owner was working the register and she was so passionate about her menu and really helpful in making sure my order was exactly how I wanted it. I’m so happy we found this little gem located centrally right off tech’s campus. We willBe back every day of our stay!
I love this place. My only complaint is they never put extra honey on our bowls even though we ask for it and are charged for it. IF they put extra honey they dont ever mark the one that has extra.
Wow very impressed. The food was delicious nothing was plain it was very tasteful great quality of food and fulfilling they also have door dash available so very convenient
The bowls and smoothies were soooo good! Everything on the menu is made to order.
I’d say it was pretty good overall, nice to eat something healthy for a change. It seemed a bit pricey for what I received but seems like everything is these days.
Love this chain, but this location has terrible service. No masks and employees are more interested in chatting with college students who stop by for an impromptu social hour. So prepare to wait for your meal while you hear the latest gossip. Unprofessional.
its great....when the owner is there to make sure the food is prepped correctly. The only time I ever get good service is when the owner is there. Today I ordered a smoothie with peanut butter and a turkey panini the owner wasnt there. so the peanut butter is at the bottom of the cup with the smoothie and the tomatoes are all in the center of the sandwich. I called and asked about it and was offered to have them brought back and fixed . but this happens every single time the owner isnt in the business .very disappointing
The acai bowls are great! However, the avocado toast needed work. Avocado is easily overpowered, and that amount of lemon is unnecessary and unappetizing. My guess is the lemon is used to try to preserve a bulk dish of smashed avocado. This toast was not fresh at all.
Ordering was super confusing, and the lady working there did not explain it well at all. They actually don’t offer that many fruits for toppings just the base. Wish they would add more fresh fruit to the menu. Besides that the place is nice. I’ve just been to a lot better.
Wow!! A unique and delicious chance of pace! We couldn’t decide what we wanted, bored with the same old thing so we tried this. Excellent, a little pricy but worth it. I wish they had half portions on their bowls. The sandwiches were small a perfect little addition to a HUGE bowl. Like I said a little pricy BUT WORTH EVERY PENNY, definitely will be going again very soon
Delicious! They dont use ice in their smoothies, meaning none of the space is being taken up by water, just delicious ingredients! Their rewards program is great. Highly recommend!
They did not abide by face coverings and social distancing guidelines. There was a customer without a mask that was complaining how “she could not hear what the cashier was saying because of the mask”. The cashier proceeded to take off her own mask and they talked for a while without their masks. There were at least 10 people in the tiny restaurant. The smoothie bowl was okay, the the sirloin panini was not very good.
A few things to consider.1Staff was very friendly...they get the stars!2Don’t get any paninis.Ordered the avocado toast and a sirloin panini for $14 total. Received lack luster barely toasted sandwiches on run of the mill supermarket postage stamp size loaf bread. The $8 sirloin panini was 2 strips of sirloin, a few sprigs of spinach and one paper thin slice of deli cheese that was barely warm.....not close to melted as one would expect of a panini (sent back for another run on the press and still not impressed).Overall, very disappointing and way over priced for what we ordered. Will not return and do not recommend.
Bowl was delicious. Service was TERRIBLE. The manager was so rude when we asked for a side of honey and peanutbutter. She said "are you going to pay for that" very rudely. We also has taken items out of the bowl so we assumed we would be able to get a side of items at no cost. How rude!
Went to vitality bowls for the first time today. My overall experience of this place was AMAZING. The lady at the counter was patient with me and explained the menu and even how the app worked. Definitely will be coming back!! I loved the atmosphere here! 🤩
I L-O-V-E Vitality Bowls! I wish there were more places like this in Lubbock. I usually get the juices and avocado toast and love the bowls too! Every person that Ive ordered with is so kind, knowledgeable, and down to earth. Its food and people that energize you! I am usually in a hurry, so I order through the app or by phone. I love earning points, getting offers, and paying through the app. I highly recommend Vitality Bowls :)
We dont have a place like this where we live so it was nice to have a healthy, fun option. What we ordered was eye pleasing, the taste was natural, fresh, and delicious. I like the educational facts of the ingredients posted on the walls. The environment itself was relaxing. The staff were friendly and super helpful, very welcoming. Its a little pricey but worth it in my opinion. (Pictured is the tropical bowl without bananas.)
Its a bit on the expensive side very healthy, Their online ordering menu needs to be updated because it is different from their in-store. It makes ordering difficult especially when placing. Staff is friendly and usually when I come in here the lobby is clean.
Showed up 20 minutes before closing, felt terrible. Ashley was super nice and said order whatever I want. Was feeling the Turkey Panini, she recommended the Sirloin and wow great choice. Thing was lights out. That was her second best decision during this interaction. First being the Matcha Madness smoothie suggestion. Highly recommend. Also got the Vitality Bowl, it was great but kinda rushed in to that because I thought I was taking too long to order. Looking at the menu after ordering, I think I will try the Dragon Bowl next time. I dont really know what Dragon Fruit is, but it sounds cool.
Smoothie bowl was overpriced but it was delicious. However, it took FOREVER. About 25 minutes for one bowl. And when I asked about where it was, the employee did not apologize in the slightest, just had an attitude while telling me there were people in front of me as I stood in an empty shop lol I said there were 2 when I got here and as I walked away, she talked back something I didn’t hear. You’re on your own in here!
I called in an order today at 12:00 PM and the order wasn’t ready till 1:20 P.MThe staff was incompetent, lazy, and carried no regard for customer service. 4 customers arrived after me and got their orders taken, made, and left before me. My order was screwed up and no offer was made to make it right!I will never visit this Vitality Bowls location again or recommend it to anybody looking for a healthy alternative here in Lubbock.
This place is absolutely fantastic. If youre looking for healthy fresh food then this is your place! The bowls and smoothies are both fantastic. It may be a bit expensive but the portion sizes are large and you are definitely getting your moneys worth.
Extremely slow. Rarely answer phone calls. The bowls are good but also overpriced. The older lady with the short curly hair and glasses couldnt seem more disappointed to have us walk in upon opening.I was almost so tempted to just walk out and go grab Chick FilA instead.Rude people. Have never been impressed with the service here. Takes over 20 minutes to get a bowl even when youre the only one in the restaurant.
The smoothies and bowls are really good but they’re extremely overpriced. The sandwiches are on bread the size of dinner rolls. Their service always takes forever somehow. I came in yesterday and nobody was there except me. It still took them fifteen minutes to make my bowl. On top of that, their employees are mediocre and usually ruin my visit. When I was ordering yesterday, the employee asked me if I workout. I told her no and she said I should start working out. I then told her I walk five miles a day during the school year, hoping she would stop making me feel bad. Her response was to tell me to start running five miles a day. I don’t come in to a restaurant to be shamed by the employees.
I absolutely love the breakfast bowl. Fruity, filling, and delicious! Fair price for what you get. I have Favor deliver 1, once per week. Great meal to start the day!!
I got two smoothies and a turkey panini sandwich with spinach. Great blend of cheese, meat and veggies! The smoothies are on point. They are not watered or iced down. Lots of good healthy stuff in them! Highly recommended to anyone wanting a healthy choice. Prices are slightly on the high side, but it is great still and I will be returning.
The chill of this fresh acai bowl hit the spot in the summer heat. The bowl was well presented upon delivery. While I waited, I sat on the cozy bean bag chairs.
I’ve tried this place a few times, the açaí bowl was ok, the sandwiches were not good at all. It’s really overpriced for what you get. Staff is good, service is really slow.
Bland, generic smoothies and salads at exorbitant prices. Too focused on marketing itself to the local college instead of making good food. Not that I can blame them, but the staff takes no pride in their work and does not pay attention to detail. Asked for goat cheese on the side of my salad, got home and you guessed it, no goat cheese anywhere. Zero stars
The food is always as delicious as it looks. I’ve never had a bad experience coming here.
Yummy and healthy!! The açaí blend is amazing and served in a cold bowl which makes it even better. My favorites are the nutty bowl with chocolate chips and the tropical bowl. Try vitality bowl when your in the mood for a healthy meal that will spoil you like you’re eating a dessert. 😜👍🏻
I LOVE this place! The smoothie bowls are super delicious and always fresh. I secretly wish you could buy their base smoothie and make your own at home. 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Amazing meals! Wow! So delicious! The customer service was great. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for some fresh healthy food and juices! I can’t describe how good this bowl is. What’s pictured here is the Matcha bowl, spinach salad, and a green me up juice.
The size of the fruit bowls at this place is ridiculous. I would normally say that I have a large appetite but I was struggling to finish a medium. The fruit is all excellent quality and the combination of flavors was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place.
The employees here are incredibly nice! Its not always the first thing you notice when you enter an establishment, but this was my experience here, which gave my visit a positive start. I did enjoy my bowl, but Im quite used to very high quality smoothie bowls so my bar was set high. If I hadnt had a bowl before, this would easily be a 5 star review. Id like to try their paninis and salads, as other customers dining here had ordered them and they looked excellent. The portions are good and the prices are excellent. Overall, Id return here again. If I (which I willorder another smoothie bowl that doesnt come with granola, I plan on adding some on for an additional fee. I think that was the main thing missing from it, in my opinion.
The smoothie was decent but the customer service I received was horrible. I came in for my first visit and the guy with dirty blonde hair with a beard and headphones in was so rude. He didnt say anything to me when I walked up, after I looked at him he asked "do you want anything?". I told him it was my first time and he asked the girl behind me if she knew what she wanted and called her up in front of me and then disappeared in the back and I had to wait another five minutes before I was able to order.I ordered a panini and a smoothie and Ive been here for 30 minutes and still havent received my order.
This is a solid juice, smoothie and bowl shop. Within Lubbock its the best quality and nicest atmosphere of any juice shops. Bonus that they dont use styrofoam like the other shops. This place is a bit hidden, so drive slow.
very subpar. my smoothie tasted like banana water. the bean bags were pretty comfortable but i’m still gonna give it 1 star because i don’t think it deserves an overall 4.2 stars. great place to hang out with your subpar college friends over a subpar smoothie. if you want anything worth putting in your mouth you’ll have to spend over $11. you probably could make your own fruit bowl for $5.
Friendly help taking the order, BUT...the turkey panini was not on a panini just plain bread. Ordered whole wheat so I presume it was whole wheat bread. Turkey was chewy with gristle in it and the sun dried tomatoes (2were tossed on the edge. Way over priced, there is a reason they dont put prices on the website. Turkey sandwich is $5.99. The smoothie was good but also over priced. I will not go back and would caution others.
The food is crazy good! Super filling. Super healthy. It is a bit pricey, but it makes sense because of the ingredients - all fresh and hard to find in this area. Definitely worth the price. Portions are good sized, too. My only real criticism would be the wait time, which is noticeably long, even when it’s slow. But the food is completely awesome. I would go more often if I could rely on getting in and out quickly when I’m crunched for time.
I have been to vitality bowls several times. Each time they seem to get worse. Originally it was just the customer service but then my bowl was awful! The last few times Ive been, the employees cared more about social hour than the customers. This time when I ordered, I asked for no banana and asked to sub it for mango. The lady told me that they cant sub but could charge me for the mango. Then she proceeded to tell me that it wouldnt taste good anyway and how the bowl wouldnt be sweet without the banana (which I understand because bananas are sweet but Im allergic so it doesnt matter to me). The tone in which she used was rude and not helpful. When they brought me my bowl, it had way to much honey and granola (Ive ordered it this same bowl the same way before so I know what its supposed to be like). I couldnt even finish it because it just tasted like granola and honey. I have continued to go because of the lack of places like this in Lubbock but now I just have an awful taste in my mouth...literally.
Carnivore meets health food. This is not my first excursion into healthy food but so far the best. The bowls are huge and pretty filling considering there is no meat. Everyone needs to try it at least once.
Love it! Been here many times. Always delicious, healthy, great size servings. All bowls are handmade so you can customize it as much as you like. Just a heads up for ADA customers: theres a few steps to go up at the entrance, and theres a wheelchair ramp not exactly close to the entrance that doesnt provide access to the front door because a table and chairs block the path.
The newly opened Vitality Bowls is refreshing, clean, and pleasant. The food choices are widely varied and delicious. From the taste of the bowls we have enjoyed, it is evident the produce is fresh and healthy - no heavy feeling afterwards. Many if not most of the options are either vegan or vegetarian and gluten free. We have eaten at Vitality Bowls 3 times since it opened on June 24, 2016 and have took friends with us for after church brunch which we all enjoyed. Just what Lubbock and the west Texas area have been needing - Vitality Bowls!
