Visitors Center Danube Delta Aquarium - Museum in Galati, Romania
Visitors Center Danube Delta Aquarium in Galati
Description
The aquarium was lovely, but some of the fish could definitely use a bigger enclosure... The natural history museum upstairs had a few scenes with stuffed animals that had sensors with animal noises as you approach.Overall OK, no lasting impression.
MoreExcellent, unexpected and in very good taste. Highly recommended, even though the whole city is undergoing serious construction and rehabilitation.
MoreThere are 3 levels, the aquarium being in the basement.Beautful species if fish(not too many), but nothing wowMax. 1h tu visit everything.
MoreA museum that could be better. The presentation of the fauna of the Danube Delta is appropriate, but it can be seen that it was established a long time ago. The stuffed animals featured are dusty and worn. It would be better if you put up professionally made plastic models.Interactive map layouts dont work well as some of the buttons on the selection devices are missing.Exhibits from previous temporary exhibitions are not stored on the first floor. The entire basement area with aquariums permeates the smell of dirty aquarium water.
MoreI was very surprised to see this type of acquarium in a small city like Tulcea.
A lot of birds, animals, fish and more but the elevator tiny for a wheelchair or baby trolley.
MoreInformativ but cruel to see how most of the fishes are hold, this is old fashioned and not the way it’s known it have to be! Also in such a Center I presume nobody wants to see tropical fishes but the local fauna. I would appreciate the conditions are soon improved
MoreVery interesting place! For children even more!
Super
Very cute litle museum. Nice aquarium
Not prepared for such thing, well surprised about how the museum was arranged, sound and light effects, employees approach, quality of presentations. It beats form far away other places like this, well done management and curators...So it can be done also in Romania.....
MoreThe place is nice and all, but I give it only 2 stars because of how little the aquariums are. Lots of the fish look like they are suffering and waiting for life to pass. The shark in the picture looks like he would rather be dead. He would probably need 5 to 10 times more space and decoration in the tank. Same goes for more of the fish. Otherwise the place was nice
MoreReally nice. Unexpected for a small city like Tulcea. The kids have enjoyed it. We even had a chance to visit 2 temporary exhibitions.
MoreSuperb!!!
It is a sad, sad place to keep wild animale în such tiny containers for people to "enjoy" :(
MoreRelatively small... But very good for a 2-3 hour visit. Its also a nicely decorated Delta museum. Lots of stuffed animals. Good place for kids.
MoreAwesome for children and adults. Quite a few species, not too many that one (childwould get bored.Totally recommend.
MoreIt was really intersting,I recomand it.
Nice place to bring kids to see many types of fish. There are also lots of stuffed animals typical to the Danube Delta and some tools and furniture depicting old fishermans houses and work.
MoreExpensive for average romanian employed.......2 adult+2kids=5o Ron , 2 retired+ 2 kids=3o Ron. It îs a town for retired ppl+dogs not employed+kids.
MoreWell organised museum both related with aquatic and social life in Danube Delta biosphere. Appreciated top much.
MoreVery nice fish collection
A nice little Museum that worths visiting if you are in Tulcea
Small but really beautiful fish tank displays. They even had a shark there! There are also other regional activities, taxidermied birds and animals of the area displayed in the museum.
MoreNice educational exhibit about the delta. Most captions in english, but some not.
MoreVery nice for the kids and the parents, too. We enjoyed the diversity of fish species.
MoreThe aquariums are not maintained. In the aquariums there is only sand and a poor piece of wood each time, it is sad to see animals like that. And finally at the end of the visit you can see 15 sea turtles piled up on top of each other in a poor water tank. Desperate! I regret having given money to this aquarium and having participated in this horror
MoreLooks interesting but many explanations are just in Romanian…then five stars. The aquarium is nice, especially for kids I think.
MoreInteresting exhibition, especially the fish exhibition (Acvariuwith lens glass walls and some big sturgeons as the main attractions. Do not miss the small tunnel where kids and slim people can go in a column inside the fish tank.
MoreNice to see when you visit Tulcea. A bit too oldish. I disagree seeing stuffed baby animals :(
MoreNice, small museum where you can go with your kids and learn something about Danubes Delta wildlife
MoreInteresting to see with kids!
A really nice place and well organized.
Like Constanta Aquarium this one is also small... A whole lot of building and a few fishes. Also i didnt understood why there were exposed impaled lions and tigers in an aquarium. 🤔15 mins and you can see all there is to see. 😱Maybe in another 50 years we can visit something worth of this century
MoreYou will enjoy the vizit. The price is a bit high but it is worth it to help animals and keep the place going
MoreNice museum. With a lot of teachings of the Dunar (Danubenature, and also with an acquarium exposition, worth a visit if the day is rainy and have children to keep busy and interested. Nice the shows about the life in the Delta duringnthe past times.
MoreA very well documented place, very interesting nature corners, with real sounds and wonderful birds, fish, aquarium, fishing tools. Kids will just love it,adults will learn new and amazing things. Definetly worth visiting!! 5 Eur tickets for adults. Last entry on 17 p.m. on week-ends!
MoreInteresting place to visit, must see the aquarium!
One of the best places to visit in Tulcea. Great for both adults and kids. Moat of the info is in English. The tour is not very long but its definetly worth your time. If you are a larger group you could consider a guided tour which is about 22 euros per group. Also the tickets are pretty cheap 5 euros for adults and 1 for children and students
MoreNot so big, but definately a must go place, specialy for kids.
Amasing place. Very informative and perfect for kids. Highly recommend it.
Visit Tulcea? This is a must on your bucket list!
Kind of interesting but the fish are kept in tiny tanks and that really makes your soul bleed to be honest. Apart from that, theres a lot to learn so... Eh.
MoreIs a verry nice place to visit, they have many parts of nature replicated there. You can see the wild life there in 1:1 scaled and all the plants and animals. Is like they ar having parts of nature in every room, parts of Delta Dunarii. Manny species of animals, plants, birds and fishare are presented there. Just visit the place and you will enjoi the time spent there.
MoreVery interesting museum, excellent for children but also for adults. There are 3 stories with exhibitions, ground floor and first floor showcasing the life in the Danube delta and, underground there is an amazing aquarium with lots of nice fish. It took us about one hour to visit the museum but we very happy with the choice of visiting it. The admittance ticket is some 5 euro, all worth it. Would especially recommend the museum for children. The once who visited at the same time as us were extremely excited about what they could see and learn.
More#museum#aquarium#lovely# This museum and aquarium is a lovely place to visit every season. It is a very entertaining and adults and children loves it a lot.It shows the life of Donau Delta .I recommend this place.
MoreIf you happen to be in Tulcea dont miss out on the aquarium. The price is on the edge of decent with 20 lei (5 eurofor adults, but its totally worth it. I will go again next time im in the city
MoreThis aquarium and museum is small but well organized. You can find useful information about Danube Delta and its history. Very great time and helpful staff too.
MoreYou must visit this place! My childrens have been very excited when we have passed. For adults its interesting too.
MoreVery nice dioramas (helped us identify many of the birds weve seen in the danube delta). Photos from the region were also great. The aquarium was small but a pleasant diversion.
