The name says it all. VIRGIN. They didn’t lie. It will be weird, awkward, and no one will know what’s going on. You’ll probably regret it and hope the next time will be better. A confused bell hop will bring you to your small room with dorm room decor, a broken toilet seat and when you ask the front desk on where to go to eat they will tell you Taco Bell.

Quant rooms I.e toilet sink in room entrance. Central position which also means noise of trains at 530am. I got a room at 2am so beggars cant be choosers.

Wonderful bed!!!! We slept on 10th floor which was perfectly quite.... the front desk put us on 10 when we mentioned we were tired which was thoughtful! Overall we will be back here again and we really appreciate the experience.

Great option for the area! Close to everything and with a friendly staff and great concept. Hip and with cool details all around, it is a landmark building that got better. Didnt try the cerise rooftop and the breakfast spot is just ok, but the whole experience is a very pleasant one. the suites are huge and with a lot of technology and details. Ask for a 20+ story room though, the noise was still there from the nearby train at the 9th floor.

This hotel is amazing. The room is so clean and modern and comfortable and QUIET! THE STAFF MAKE THIS PLACE SOMETHING SPECIAL INDEED!!!! Sincerely loved all the staff ❤️ thank you ❤️

Friendly staff, clean modern room, sufficient amenities (no pooldelicious restaurants and lounges on site including a rooftop restaurant! Great views of the city, close to all transportation, walking distance to anything you might want to do!

Ok, first off, I never got his name and that embarrasses me. But he seems to be the door man, security, valet, travel advisor and all around awesome person! Please give him a raise, special props, or some kind of recognition, he was SUPERB!! Went above and beyond to be helpful and friendly!!! Now hotel review… All the staff was friendly and helpful! I have never stayed at a Virgin hotel. It is definitely a unique vibe. Not your typical sterile hotel feel. This hotel has personality. The rooftop bar was a fun time with great ambience! The location was excellent for access to Riverwalk, lake, Navy Pier and Michigan Ave. The coffee shop, two zero three, was great and Ms Ricky’s breakfast was delicious!

Amazing experience overall. Central location in the loop with access to the CTA just a few steps away. Clean, modern rooms with comfy beds. I was on the 10th floor and the outside train/noise didn’t bother me at all during the night.

The bridal suite on floor 24 where my daughter stayed was awesome! I asked for a quiet room with 2 beds for me and my husband. They gave us (parents of the bridea room on floor 10 with only 1 bed, facing a parking garage with some noise from the train in the morning. I did not get a decent nights sleep the night before my daughters wedding. When I told the assistant manager about my sub-par experience, he did nothing. I cannot recommend this hotel unless you are staying in the bridal suite.

Absolutely didn’t disappoint in fact exceeded My expectations. Room design and space usage is incredibly well thought out. Wireless charger, steeping coffee sachets, best views, comfortable bed and mattress. HUGE shower that could literally fit 4 people! For the ladies, a bench for shaving….Alex at the front desk helped me Alex with an extra hour check out since my flight was delayed. Air temp is accurately controlled and felt amazing the entire visit. No major swings in the AC. looking forward to trying other Virgin Hotels around the world.

Superb staff makes this a superb place to stay. Coupled with location makes it a great place to stay when visiting Chicago. Room was fine, some small niggles, but still highly recommended.

Where do I start customer service was lacking they tried to "upgrade" me to a higher floor nope I read the reviews and didnt want to hear club music all night which I still heard faintly on the 14th floor. The elevators always packed with outsiders trying to get to the "club" asking you to use your key card to get them there. Walk into room the vanity had black wirey hairs on it I put a towel over them wasnt gonna let that ruin my trip. The room wouldnt go down past 65 degrees unless you called front desk to adjust it little secret they will get their "engineers" to fix it. Im sorry for $300 a night I expected more. The TV omg you have to mirror your phone to use any apps complete waste of time! HBO max the sound would stream but 0 picture. We called several times during our trip to have the "engineers" fix the internet doesnt come up half the time so you cant connect phone 🙄 lucky we were busy and tired every night so didnt need the TV but would have been nice to relax with it unfortunately was hit or miss when it did work the picture was pixalated who doesnt have oled these days. Overall stay somewhere else noisy, uncomfortable Temps, have to ask everyday for room service and towels. Front desk people where not nice like reviews said beware.

Great hotel located in the heart of the Downtown/Loop area. Very close to attractions and transit system. Staff was very friendly and as a joke under special requests in my booking I wrote "Framed picture of Tom Selleck" and to my surprise Tom was there to greet me in my room. That just shows the attention to detail but also fun spirit of the hotel and staff.

Stayed here for about 6 days while I was out of conference, and I loved everything about this hotel. The staff or what really made the difference. Our doorman went above and beyond, walking me to my next place when he learned it was my birthday and I was a little nervous going by myself. I had staff comp me drinks for my birthday and also help me out in numerous ways and they always had a smile on their face, and they always greeted you when you came in like you were coming back home.The hotel is pretty swanky, its got a nice modern vibe to it but also some really classy fun touches, the rooms were so comfortable and a shower was massive with a huge rain spout. Also really enjoyed their complimentary shampoo and body wash etc. They even provided a robe while we were there which I definitely made use of.Usually when you walk in and you see a fridge and a mini bar it doesnt have much in it, this thing was stocked to the gills! We didnt have much view to speak of but the amenities in the room made up for it, the bed has to be one of the most comfortable beds Ive ever slept on my life. I dont even know that I turned over I will always woke up feeling amazing.There was a wireless charger by the bed, plenty of storage and cute seating and I was able to unpack my extremely large suitcase and feel at home with room to spare. There were two different desks and ample room. The rooftop bar had an incredible view and the bartenders were extremely friendly and knowledgeable and accommodating. They really made my birthday something special.The gym was a little lacking. There is no pool, but in the gym there are large bathrooms with no change in facilities, not that you would expect them. Theres a row of dumbbells and some weird equipment to the side I couldnt figure out what it was supposed to do. There are a couple benches and a couple machines including one with cables, no barbells, and a slew of cardio equipment but no fans or circulating air. There is a door that leads out to the roof but when I went it was locked.That being said I absolutely loved being there and I would go back in a heartbeat and not look anywhere else I love this hotel and its people!

This place is in an awesome location where you can pretty much walk and see whatever you want. The hotel is really nice and so are the rooms. Plenty of restaurants within a minute or two of walking. Front desk staff seemed nice and the rooftop restaurant/bar was my favorite part. Went on a weekend and it seemed pretty packed but since I was a guest at the hotel they got us right in and we were able to enjoy drinks with a good view of the city. If I’m ever back in the area I’d definitely consider staying there again.

Awesome hotel within walking distance of the river and lots of good eats. Very cool pet friendly place to stay, they give your pups a comfy bed, bowls and treats.

The gracious and beaming hostor the beautifully kept rooms or the happeningrooftop with staff that welcomes you with the utmost hospitality.Noel, the wonderful lady who helped us check inwas beyond accommodating throughout the whole process from A-Z! I live at the ritz carlton residence in Toronto and I can say that the entire experience here was 5 star ++.The building itself has so much charm andcharacter but more importantly is very wellcomplimented by the staff who is so knowledgeable with their recommendations of the city and surrounding area but also the warm energy they give off... DEFINITELY STAY HERE! Stop searching, weve done the work for you... this is the place tostay!!!

Im sitting in the Rooftop Bar with my friends and the view is absolutely Gorgeous! 😍 The service is awesome as well! Julian the bartender was on point and Billy the Manager was Amazing!! I will definitely be back!

For the price I thought Id be getting more, but it felt like a standard hotel.The sinks were slow draining in our room, and one of the lounges were closed off even though restrictions were lifted. The rooftop bar closed its balcony patio extremely early. Wash slightly disappointed with the overall experience.

Alex checked us in, was very nice and knowledgeable! The TV was broke in our room so they compd us free breakfast which was the best Ive ever had! The eggs!!! The staff was awsome and very helpful! Would forsure return and recommend!

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful hotel last summer and thought it perfect: funky, fun and walking distance to everything we wanted to see and do and eat. We absolutely loved it. If you want cookie cutter rooms, then try the usual chains - this one felt boutique and friendly with great views and cool decor.

We loved the room, it was spacious and very clean. Its not every day that I will comment on cleanliness because most hotels are "ok", but this one was superb in that realm. We went up to the rooftop bar the first night, weird setup in terms of bar vs. cocktail service. If I were just ranking the rooftop bar, Id rank that a 3. They also have to close the external part of the bar for city noise ordinance which is silly given those who live downtown choose that and its never really "quiet" anyway?Gym was fine, but could use some upgraded equipment. The bikes are janky, please get a Peloton bike or something of similar quality for those that are looking for a more intense workout and not having to worry about the bike collapsing during the workout!

We loved our stay. The service throughout the hotel, from the support staff at the door, to the waiters in the hotel restaurant and on the rooftop were all amazing. I believe the receptionist who helped us throughout our stay was named Alex and he was great. One thing to mention is we wish they had a microwave available in the suite. We stayed in the Grand Chamber Suite so not sure if another type of room/suite within the hotel offer microwaves. Overall would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful stay this past weekend. The check-in process was simple and we were able to check-in early, the room was clean and spacious, the rooftop bar has an excellent view, and the hotel is in a prime location of downtown Chicago. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Nice, clean hotel. The rooms are set up well. The shower is in one room, toilet in another, and sink in the main room. This makes sharing the room a lot easier and the mirror over the sink does not get foggy. My room was just outside the elevator but I did not hear a sound. The location is close to shopping and the river walk.

I love this place! Been coming here for the past 2 half 3 years every time I come to Chicago to visit family!!! Rooms always clean, healthy, safe. Excellent customer service, great staff and the cost of all the rooms are worth it.

We Celebrated our 15 year Anniversary here for the weekend.. We had a blast.. The staff treated us like VIP Royalty.. EXCELLENT customer service.. Love the rooftop Bar.. We ate brunch at Miss Rickys with Mimosas.. Close to everything.. I highly recommend booking here.. We loved the no kid environment..

I am not into leaving many negative reviews as it may not contribute to the overall performance of the hotel. I stayed in 2401. (05/07/2022That is below the 25th floor where on a Saturday night they had music. It provided enough noise like there was construction going on and aggravated me immensely. I did not hear the music but loud noises like they were dragging heavy objects around and dropping them. I do not understand what those rooms are used on those nights. If you pay $250 including taxes and such you would expect to at least sleep well. My wife obtained a refund for the night. Other than that, all was ok and I was happy to stay there. The staff was indisputably great.

First off, let me start by just shouting out the hotel manager, Billy and Kevin at the front desk! He truly made our stay for my husband and I’s anniversary something special. From the service, to the cleanliness to the location, it was all truly amazing! Definitely recommend!

Great experience! We were met at the door and it was opened for us. The individual that did our check in was helpful and I formative about the hotel, they also made sure we got our room quickly and efficiently. Our room was spacious, clean, had great views and an amazing bathroom. The rooftop bar had great food, best shrimp cocktail take we have had and the fries are to die for. The room service was top notch, will say the fries with this were a bit soggy. We did some exploring of the hotel because my wife wanted to see the not yet open common club and the front office manager gave us a tour personally. Awesome experience would recommend and will stay again.

This is my second time staying at this property. I became a member after the first time staying and falling in love with the rooms.I checked in last night and the FDM who helped me was amazing! They upgraded my room and put me in the highest floor.I truly felt like a VIP by the way I was treated. Thank you guys so much for making the start of my vacation an amazing one.I’ll be staying at this property anytime I’m in the Chicago area.Keep up the fantastic work guys.

Our Suite was very comfortable, and we loved the view from two sides. We took advantage of the In the Know program and had excellent drinks for free each afternoon. The hotel has an ifrsl location so that grabbing a taxi is easy. We were also impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of the staff!

Stayed for 2 nights. The place is clean, modern and stylish. The staff is attentive and helpful, it offers great views (at least from the 24th floor where I stayedand the rooftop terrace is amazing. The only downside is the rooms are a tad on the smaller side and the desk is forced to be uncomfortably close to the bed.
