Vinograf wine bar - Wine bar in Prague, Czech Republic
I would give 5 stars if the waiter would not forget our order. The food and wine was really good, also the staff overall really friendly and helpfull.
Nice placeGood winesFriendly staffWorth a visit..Matuska Beer also
Avoid for lunch. Limited options, vintage of wine ordered was not as indicated in menu.
wonderful place and service. Amazing selection of wines and cheese. Would recommend.
Amazing place with incredible selection of wine and tasty fusion food
Very nice ambience, competent staff and delicious wine. Absolutely recommendable
Very good wine and snacks!
This place was unbelievable. One of the funnest meals I have had, and great recs from the staff. We had degustation which was amazing… such flavorful risotto, roast octopus and Foie Gras, and delicious wine pairings.
Amazing selection of wines.I had degustation along with cold and warm snacks - meat cooked with a good flavor profileWaiter - friendly and polite, English speakingPlace suitable for events, small or big groupsClean and spacious toilets.Definitely will wish to come back.
Good service, unique ordering system with your own mini tablet with all of the wine info. I never heard of orange wine until I came here. If you like wine and want to try something new I recommend checking this place out. Quiet atmosphere when we went.
Lunch was good, the duck breast was juicy, and they have a reasonably good selection of wines by the glass, although I would add a few more good value reds and whites in the 50-80 czk price range per glass (they only have one), in case someone does not want to pay 100+ czk for a wine to go with lunch. Service was great. Only thing I didnt like was the coffee, which for the price was subpar. But hey, maybe it was just my bad luck.
Excellent selection of wines with emphasis on Eastern European, French and Spanish varietals. Great selection of small plates. Our server Tomasz was very helpful explaining the tablet based menu and made some great suggestions. Highly recommended.
Woow! What a great place for a glass of wine (or threeand a little apéro! The staff is just wonderful and so is everything else! Thanks for everything. We’ll be back for sure!
Great spot for perfect dinner. Well educated staff who is able to recommend well matching vine to the food. Food it self is very tasty. Overall very recommended.
Not the best experience at all. Overpriced place for the quality of product and service. I came in and had to wait 20 minutes because the people working there were doing some other stuff inside. I understand next time could be better, but this one was a pity.
A lot of choice for the vine! Good snack!I was expected to have dinner there but they don’t seems to have big meal on the menu once there.I picked a Czech Pinot noir (very goodand Riesling (I don’t recommend this one unfortunately..)
Lovely place with great service level. Te waiters and waitresses were very nice with wide knowledge about the wines, they helped to choose the best wines. They had plenty of local wines and also good ones from the world.
Plenty of options at reasonable prices, very affordable
Very nice and attentive staff, nice atmosphere and music, great wine selection, and also a good variety of wines from Czech Republic. This is my go-to place if I am waiting for a train nearby central station.
We had a great time at the vinograf, we had a very good wine - food combination. This is all thanks to Jakub and his other colleagues, I would definitely recommend to visit this place!
Cool bar with friendly staff. Nice to be able to have small servings of wine so that you can sample several. The cheese was lovely and my husband thought the cured duck breast was amazing!
A quick business lunch on my last days in Prague. Good selection of wines and food. The place is walking distance from the main train station as well as close to Florenc bus station for travelers. Recommended with pleasant experience and personnel
We ordered wine for 700 czk approximately, they didn’t have it so a waitress proposed different one but little bit more expensive. We agreed and only in the end when we asked for a bill we saw that wine was 1500 czk what is double price 🤪 I think it is not nice of Vinoteka staff. Also dessert was not fresh at all
Fresh mixed salad, pumpkin prawn soup, delicious wines from all over the world.
I was craving some pate during my 2WK biz trip to Prague... expected to be disappointed but it hit the spot!!Neat digitalized menus on small tablets.Glass of Red Wine:VF, Zapletal, Pinot Noir MGN 2017Country of origin: Czech Wine region: Velké Pavlovice Sweetness: dry Wine type: red wine Variety: Pinot Noir -> nice, light mouth feel1Home-made duck paté 50g -> definately will do again!2Pumpkin soup, tiger prawn with lemon grass and coriander / Pumpkin soup with black tiger prawn, lemon grass and cilantro. -> surprisingly delicious, unexpectedly slightly spicy... definately would do again3Duck Ravioli, Truffle Oil and Parmigiano Reggiano, Sauce Truffle and Parmigiano Reggiano -> IMO the other 2 outshined it, was OK just too much going on in this plate
Fantastic wine bar with tons of choices and great staff who are friendly and knowledgeable. The menu items were a perfect complement to the wines that were suggested to us. While my friend I are well educated about wine, but were novices about Czech wine so the bartenders suggestions and information were greatly appreciated!
Great wine bar located in the heart of old Prague. Great selection of Moravian (Czechwines and wines from all over. Good food to pair with the wine too. Bar staff is helpful, presentation of the wines is with class, and the location is beautiful and comfortable.
Stopped in for a quick drink. The staff were very helpful and were able to help us in English. The menu for food and drinks comes in the form if a tablet device. If you like great wine this is one of the places to go to as they have a vast collection to offer. Has a great atmosphere along with the great staff. Along with drinks they also serve food.
The good: A vast selection of wine of very high standard. The bad: Everything else... Totally pretentious, overpriced wine, overpriced food. My croque monsieur would have left a squirrel still feeling hungry. In a city with amazing bakers making the best sourdough why serve tasteless bleached white bread. The water was over €5.The ugly: The staff were miserable, rude and had an unjustified air of superiority. There are far better places for much less money in Prague.
We shared a grilled veggie tapa & we had croque monsieur each. Delicious. We also had extremely nice wines & purchased bottles to take back to the hotel. Best wine selections to carry home so far. Loved the vibe. Will definitely go back to purchase bottles of wine for my vacation.
Giving two stars only because of the service. Visited Vinograf (Senovazne namestifew days ago with a friend of mine. Ordered wine and some nibbles. Since there was a reservation made on our table, we eventually had to move. From that point, staff ignored us completely. While moving the tables, someone took our plates, napkins and cutlery. We tried to get the attention of one of the 6 staff members running around for half an hour. Their ignorance was way too obvious. Finally some woman came and we told her what we need plus asked for a wine refill. Waited another 20 minutes noticing the girl we talked to is gone. At some stage we got what we ordered after waiting so long it seemed like ages. Vinograf is not a cheap place and also not a pub in a village in the middle of nowhere. However their customer service is horrible and it is more than expected to be on very different level. Coming from a person working in a same kind of busy environment.
Very interesting and wide selection of wine together with particular dishes... Nice atmosphere but a bit too noisy. Staff is competent and can point you to the right wine for your meal in case you cannot handle the menu on the notepad.
Oh! Great selection of wines. Good food options. Welcoming staff. Nice atmosphere and easy access on the centre of Prague. It worth every minute spent here. One of my favourite places in Prague. Highly recommend it.
The best wine bar in Prague, the choice is really large and the food is good. Thank you for everything
I love this place, the food is amazing as well as the wines. Every time I’m in Prague I try to go there for a nice dinner. It is usually very busy, but you can also sit at the bar and order food. The staff is very friendly.
During our stay in Prague we were keen to sample some Czech wines. In fact, wine in the Czech Republic is produced mainly in southern Moravia and Vinograf offered wonderful selections of wines, including many from Moravia. Reading reviews from Trip Advisor we gathered what we would get was a bit hit and miss. Ours was a miss.I popped in beforehand and found that they offered a tasting “wine-flight”. From our experience this is often a sequence of food matched with an appropriate wine. However at Vinograf it is simply a sequence of 5ml glasses of wines that you wish to try, from those available from their “Wines by the glass” list. There is no set list of wine flights and no fixed number of wines to include; you choose your own. “OK”, we said, “We want a wine-flight of Czech wines.”This turned out to be more difficult than you’d think. Eventually we worked out that there were ten Moravian wines in their current by-the-glass list, two rosé, six white and two reds. So we decided to share a 10 wine wine-flight and have a platter of cold meats and cheeses and some bread to go with them. Our sommelier was not one of those keen to inform customers about Moravian wine and apart from the grape varieties offered no further information. My enquiry about the proportion of red to white wines produced received a vague and unconvincing answer. I now find that there are four sub-regions in Moravia – none of this was mentioned. So what about the wine. The first rosé was served from a decanter and was definitely tired. In fact none of the wines came up to the standard of those we had with our meals during the rest of our stay. We were amongst the first there that evening and I fancy that at least some the bottles had been open for a day or two.By the end of the wine-flight we’d had a third of a bottle each and not much in the way of food to go with it so we opted for a portion each of their homemade duck pâté and ordered a full bottle of the second rosé. The pâté was quite filling and we didn’t finish it. We also took the rest of the wine back to our hotel. We were disappointed, but others may be luckier.
Such a lovely place, with a great selection of local and international wines
Great selection of wine with the most disrespectful service we have so far encountered in Prague. Might have been the person, but the vibe of the place is unfriendly in general. The food was delicious though. Beware, they charge for tap water.
Great selection of wine and cozy place but staff is horrible, 15min just to bring the menu, another 15min to make an order, though just few people inside. I hope someone from management will see the comment. But worst Vinograf so far :/
Dropped by for a glass of wine before dinner. Found the staff to be very helpful and informative. Ended up staying for dinner! Tons of choices, whether you’re looking for a snack or a meal. Wonderful selection of wines. Great staff. Cozy atmosphere.
Best service I had in Prague the week I was there, waiter was the best and helped a couple of none profs on vine to pick out the best for us.
Great service, very kind and excellent prices, they make you feel very comfortable an amazing place to drink different wines, an original concept very well executed.
Good selection of wine which you can comfortably select from a tablet on your table and it also offers some food options. Service however was bad and unprofessional. The waitress when asked where our food was, one serving of jamon and one of speck 40g each so quite fast to prepare, after we waited over 15 minutes she replied with "Were not McDonalds". When brought the wine and confirmed that it was the bottle I chose, she poured some in a smaller glass and when I went to grab it to taste it she said "thats for me" and quickly grabbed it, she smelled it and drank it and said nothing and then served us. Other negative was that they brought bread with our hams, which we didnt ask for so thought it was included but to our surprise it was on the bill. Its not about the money but the respect for the customer, which I received none of. The service completely ruined what could have been a great experience
Great wine, food and friendly service. At a very reasonable price.
As I am always searching for new wine places. I already knew the first Vinograf, located in Mala Strana. I also enjoyed my experience at this place. Service was good and I was well advised regarding wine choices.
We came to this seemingly lovely restaurant and sat behind nice high table just behind the door. Unfortunately that has proven to be a mistake. When after like 45 minutes one of the waiters finally noticed our presence we have been told that this table is actually not a table and that people are usually not sitting behind it (despite having nice comfy chairsand that thats the reason why nobody noticed us for so long time while everybody sitting behind tables around us and coming after us got at least somehow served. The waiter was constantly explaining me that this table is not table and they didnt expect us to sit there. To my questions why they didnt move us somewhere else and why they have chairs there she didnt know answer. We refused the free drink offer as a compensation and concluded that tonight we didnt find a place to return.
Bad service. Homophobic staff. Terrible experience. They even tried to accuse us of not paying till they realised wed left the money in the box they gave us! Waitress then laughed in our faces! Awful awful awful! Go next door to Hoffa. Theyll treat you better and the food and wine is far superior.
Always a superb place to visit in terms of service, food, and drink quality. While it looks like a wine bar they serve a variety of full entree plates.Their menu is on a tablet to accommodate the changing menu. This can be difficult for those who are first experiencing them as they are somewhat slow to react. This could be improved upon.
Selection is very nice either by the glass or bottle. They play America music classics. And you definitely know when the the metro train goes by our front by the rattling glassware. I would definitely stop by again. Only a block from both the Marriott Autograph hotel Boscolo Prague and the "classic" Marriott properties.
Last stop on Prague Food Tours excellent afternoon food & drink guided tour. A great place to end up in with good atmosphere, big wine list including CR wine! and local cheese too. All enjoyed around a high double sided rustic bar.
