Absolutely incredible place in the Cannaregio, next to a lovely canal. The staff are friendly and helpful, asking you what flavors you enjoy in wine and then giving you multiple options to try. Wine is available by the glass, or you can buy a bottle to share. The shop is very small, and seating is limited, but we were able to grab a table every time we went, which was every day of our four day stay in Venice. Their cicchetti were excellent, and had meat, fish, and vegetarian options. Cant wait to return in the future!

Outstanding wine selection, very knowledgeable bar staff and so welcoming. I came here both nights of my stay for an after dinner drink and it was just excellent. Must do for Venice!

I wish I could give this place 5 stars for the amazing cicchetti and wine selection, but unfortunately we must have caught our particular server on a bad day, who forgot to bring out our food to our table after 20 minutes (I went inside to check and found it sitting abandoned on a plate by their grill). Later, when my husband went in to get our second glass of wine, another server was being so helpful to a guest and let them try many wines before deciding, but for my husband, they just poured without letting him taste first. Seems like luck of the draw depending on what server you get, because a lot of the other servers seemed much more helpful and friendly. Or maybe they are just friendly to locals and not tourists. The location beside the canal is lovely.

Go to la sete instead, If you’re only going to one canareggio wine bar. Service mainly good but one lady exceptionally rude. Aggressively snapped at me for tasting 3 wines when I was trying to choose 2 between 3 for myself and my partner, after we’d already spent a fair bit on our first round and chichetti! (By the way a group of teenage girls being served next to me who hadn’t yet spent a cent were literally allowed / encouraged to taste 5 each while this was happening ! )Wine good but considerably cheaper (and imo better quality to bootat nearby la sete. Chichetti very good to be fair.

Amazing food and drinks. We came here for a drink and we stayed a little longer just to enjoy some more cicchetti. They had a great selection and for only €2.50 each is a real bargain. Good location and friendly staff too. Definitely recommended.

This place was packed! We had to wait a good 10 minutes to order our wine and cicchetti, but it was worth it. The worker selected six of his favorite cicchetti (it was our first timeand we spread out a blanket for a picnic by the canal. A table soon opened up and we snagged it. Overall it was a great experience!

The best wine in Venice!!! To be honest, this place is worth 6 stars. Very kind and knowledgeable staff, natural tasty Italian wines. We have tried a few places in Venice, including a wine tasting bar, but nothing compares to the wines we have tasted in Vino Vero. The cicchetti are also very tasty and original, a must see place when in Venice

This place is SO cute and fun with amazing wine, amazing people, and amazing food! Loved the ambiance and how friendly and helpful the staff were! And the playlist was bangin. Happened upon this place on accident and so glad I did - it’s a must in Venice!

Great wine! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. This was some of the best cicchetti we had on the whole trip.

Elevated cicchettis with a great selection of wines. Excellent attention and everything you look for to relax by the canal and enjoy a quiet and peaceful moment with local “flavours”. Worth it!

Lovely glass of Italian wine sat by the canal...staff were friendly and helped find a wine that suited my taste.

Cool place! Great staff - very well informed about their wine and give great recommendations. Yummy food too. sit outside once you get your food - ordering and paying is all inside. They are busy so get there in good time then sit by the canal and watch people/boats go by.

Very nice service - 5 stars for that... But local wine (both red and writewas awful and came with rather high price tag.As for cicchetti - not bad but priced on a high side.

Great de place next to the canal to have good wine and great appetizers

Leaving what I think is a very fair review based on our two experiences. The first time, the lady could not be more helpful. I tasted two wines after informing her what I usually like and she gave me a brief outline about them. I chose some brucetta for my husband and I and we had a great afternoon. We stayed for a few hours.We went the very next day as it was so great and I had found a wine I really liked. When I told the man what Id like he told me they no longer have it. I was slightly surprised as it was less than 24 hours and his response was Im here to sell wine. I explained I understood that, was just didnt realise their turnover was so quick, so what else could I try thats similar. He walked off and just poured me a sample of something. I asked if anything else as it wasnt exactly what I liked and he argued that this was the highest full body wine they have but a different grape which is why it tasted different in a very patronising way. I was annoyed by this point so just agreed to this wine. He then wouldnt serve my husband a gin but the lovely lady from the day prior explained to him that she agreed to serve him gin the day prior as he is not a wine drinker. He then remembered us and was really nice. Too late in my opinion. We drank our drinks and swiftly left. I felt like a nuisance to him but she couldnt do more for us.... a real shame as I had been excited to return

We really enjoyed this place (came back twice). No aperol spritz here only wine. They make it clear that this is a wine bar. Guy working was very nice to us and suggested wines and they had tasty crostini sandwiches to munch on. I did see him kinda flip out on some guy for sitting at a “reserved table” but that’s not my business.

There’s no place like Vino Vero in Cannaregio. Love the wines, adore their team, and always feel home away from home at this wine bar pouring amazing natural wines!

Staff here are incredible. Patient and high lever of customer service. Great understanding of wine but the highlights are the little food tapas they over. Pure heaven. No bookings expect to wait. Perfect get away from the main tourist area!

This is the perfect place to go for casual drinks + cicchetti by a canal. There are tons of choice, the wine list was extensive and the servers were super helpful and willing to let my friend and I taste some wines before deciding which to get a glass of.The one thing: This place gets BUSY!! I recommend getting there a little before it opens or being willing to wait/sit on the ground by the canal because seating is limited. Tons of locals go here too, so its always got something going on.

This is the best place for natural wine in Venice. glass of wine ranges from 4.5€ to 8€. They have a huge selection and is also possible to eat some delicious snacks.

The best Wine Bar I visited while in Venice..the staff were very friendly, knew their stuff and you get to try the wine before committing. Phenomenal cicheti and Id highly recommend the Orange wines!

What a fabulous place! We came to Vino Vero on the first day of our honeymoon and so totally fell in love with the kind and gracious staff, the beautiful and quiet location along the water, and the excellent wine and cicchetti that we decided to come back everyday of our trip! A unique experience in Venice that we will undoubtedly treasure forever.

Great winebar with friendly people. We got a lot have help and explanation choosing a wine and they were all delicious. I can also recommend the small „tapas“. You can sit right at the Canal. They best thing was that for a change we got the feeling that there were not just tourists but also locals.

A really fun place. Loads of different wines to try by the glass and friendly service to help you choose.But the highlight is THE best cicchetti in Venice. Come here early in your trip, because youll be coming back a 2nd and 3rd time.

First day in Venice, found this on our doorstep! Well almost, great venue, if your quick you can sit outside and sample the wine, have some superior snacks and get some great service from the staff inside.Loved it!

The best tasting and highest quality cicchetti in Venice, with a natural wine list that is diverse and thoughtfully curated. The staff is super friendly and helpful with recommendations. Seating is first-come first-serve, and it’s very popular with locals, so arrive early or be prepared to wait. We returned each night of our stay, and it was worth the wait.

One of my favourite places visiting Venice in September 2019. Amazing light bites and great selection of wines from around Europe and the world. We went both evenings and snacked and drank delicious wines by the glass. Ideal just before dinner. This is the kind of wine bar you wish you had on your high street or around the corner. Well worth a visit and particularly the walk if you’re staying a bit further away.

By far the best cicchetti that we have had in Venice. We have been to at least 5 cicchetterias, but this spot has the most thoughtful flavor pairings and selections. Standing room only. No Spritz! 3 shelves to select from...meat, vegetarian, fish. All excellent.

Came highly recommended and did not disappoint. The staff helped us find some good natural wines, we particularly enjoyed their collection of orange wines. Some of the more creative tapas we found around the city. Does get full quite quickly so if you prefer to avoid crowded bars, try getting there on the earlier side

We absolutely loved this wine bar! Intimate, authentic and friendly staff who recommended high-quality wines! We were nibbling on Cicchetti and cheese / charcuterie while enjoying a fantastic selection of wines typical to the Venetian region. We kept going back each evening during our Venice stay.
