Vingis Park in Naujamiestis

Always lovely, a big wild park with plenty space for everyone from baby to elderly. Cycling, walking, jogging or just sitting and admiring trees. Also there are plenty for kids to play on and with.

Nice place for a walk. Quite big park, where you walk for few hours. You can cross the river from there and walk by it and you will come to city center.

Great, place, really uncommon for tourists. Awesome possibility to escape city inside the city, go roller skating, long boarding, simply walking in the park or spending time on the bench by the forest. Also you can watch air balloons lunch from there

Beautiful old pine trees, well kept park for walking, running, roller-skating and other outdoors activities. Beware of ticks - they are very common on a grass here.

love it, a lot of space, various activities, you can also rent bikes, roller skates and more!

Its fairly huge, walking distance from the city, they have everything you could need for park activities, walking cycling Rollerblades, lots of open space, lots of nature, lots of shade and lots of grass. They even have a small (could easily be bigger if they wanteddisc golf course which is why we went.

Great place to visit. If you want a roller skating they have a plenty to rent it out and try out area. Fresh air in pinewoods. Botanic garden worth visiting. Cafeteria for refreshments.

The city keeps the park clean and safe, has all sorts of food trucks and rentals for bikes, rollerblades, skateboards and the like.

Huge park, clean, rekaxing, full of bikers & skaters. Family ambience as well. Some food stand, sandwiches or ice-creams. Great for walking or hiking or a quick Picknick close by the river.

Beautiful park with lots of attractions, food, e-scooters, calm running or biking lanes and beautiful nature, recomandable for families even with smaller children, the roads are broad and easily accessible with a stroller or a wheelchair.

Very nice place to visit. Walking around is amazing tho the parking is paid so your time at the park will depend on your spare change if you drive there by car. All in all when going to Vilnius dont hesitate to visit and walk around. Clean and taken care of park.

Great park, worth visiting on a day & night.Overall great spot, people chilling out, dancing, having fun or just relaxing.During the night might see few drunk addicts sowhere passed out, but what is what you would expect to happen during heat waves right? :))Anyway besides that those usually minding their own business, even it wasnt good neighborhood before now it is clean & very solid modern hipster area.

Vingis Park is the largest park in Vilnius, Lithuania. Located in a curve of the Neris River, it covers 162 hectares (400 acres). A pedestrian bridge connects the park with Žvėrynas. It is used as a venue for various events, especially concerts and sports competitions. It contains a small botanical garden of Vilnius University, stadium, and an amphitheater.The parks history dates back several centuries. In 1965, the park was renovated and adopted to the needs of mass events, such as concerts or political rallies. The amphitheater was built using the design of the modified Estonian Song Festival Grounds in Tallinn. Several major rallies and demonstrations were held there during the course of the Lithuanian independence movement of the late 1980s; a rally on August 23, 1988 drew 250,000 people.Many celebrities have performed their shows at this venue, including Andrea Bocelli, Elton John, Björk, Sting, Rod Stewart, Depeche Mode, and famous Lithuanian music groups like Foje, Antis. The record of most attendants was in 1997, when Foje performed their last concert - over 60,000 fans were there.Lady Gaga has performed at this venue for her first concert in Baltic country on August 21, 2012 at Vingis Park in Vilnius as a part of her The Born This Way Ball Tour in front of 14,853 people.On November 7, 2016, Robbie Williams announced that he will be performing at the venue on August 16, 2017.

Nice place, especially if u walk with dogs. There are places to get water , trash bags. Its a place to do sports, get some food and have a nice walk.

The best park Ive seen across Europe .You can run, you can swin, you can have a drink. You can play tennis, go the muscle machines, biking, scooting, jumping into the river, glancing the view, appreciating the tv tower. Its near the city and its in the middle of nature. Amazing.

Nice and very big park. Has a lot of space, you can go to forest or near a river, has a few caffes and places to buy ice cream and drinks. Some events and concerts take place in here. Cool place to go if you wanna spend your time in nature. From there you can see the tv tower very well:)

Beautiful place to spend day time in summer, surrounded by nature. A lot of activities for kids and elders like electronic bikes, small cars are available for rent. Best to carry your food if you are planning for a longer time.

Nature! You can have nice walks, a picknick, rent rollerskates, scooters, skate boards, electric cars for kids. There is a cafe, ice cream trucks, etc.. Even a sport for having a barbecue near a river. I enjoy this place a lot. Sometimes concerts are held there.

A large park about a 10mn drive from Old Town, Vingis Park offers numerous walking and biking trails, a large playground for children, and a river for dogs to play in. This park is very popular with families, dog walkers, runners, roller bladers, and bikers or all ages. You will find people using this park in all weather, but especially in the summers. We easily walked 3 miles using the walking paths. As in all outdoor/green spaces in Lithuania, tick prevention is vital! Be sure your dogs have tick prevention medication and that you check yourself after returning from the outdoors.

Fascinating park! For those, who love nature, it is an amazing place. Park is huge with modern walking, trekking, roller and bicycle roads. There is small place for BBQ. In summer - green lawn for suntanning, in winter - big snow slides. In the center of the park there are caffe, pizza and burger trailers. Also there is rent of sports equipment (roller skates, skates, different types of scooters, bicycles).

To anybody who wishes to go to a Vingis Park. I would wholeheartedly suggested going there, especially during summer time. It has great "deep in the forest" feeling, which sometimes nice when you want to take a break from fast paced rhythm of a city life.Well maintained roads for casual stroll, family walk or if you are looking for a joging place or even to go test your new bike. Plenty of space for all those activities, plus many nooks and crannies for those who are inclined to explore more will find plenty to do.In the center of Vingio parkas you will find "Estrada" a building where many concerts are held, especially during summer.All in all you should not need a review for a nice park in the middle of a city to go to. Hop into a car, a bike or just walk there and relax while reading a book or just go for stroll.Recomended for locals,foreigners and tourist alike.Go take a look and enjoy some nature.

This park is awesome. Many nice walking/biking trails, several great playgrounds with different types of equipment, and a huge grassy area for playing and lounging. There a few cafes and places to rent pedal cars and other things to play with. The park is surrounded by forest and it’s easy to forget you are in the middle of a city.

Its always fun and relaxing to spend time with family there. Everyone will find some to do there, maybe some paths could be better doen but overall its nice park in the center of the city.
