Vineyard Restaurant in Banjul

Went here without any information and was surprised that was a Indian cuisine restaurant. The food was great and the bottle service for the wine was excellent. Id gladly return here for more food and drinks.

Cozy place. Waiters open the window if they’re asked, which is really nice on second floor. Food was alright. Details such as heated plates and warm washcloths gave a luxury feeling. Live music (midi-keyboard and one singeron a Sunday night was too noisy for my liking. But overall a good experience! I’d probably come back another day than a Sunday though.

Excellent. The food was amazing and we had a nice appetizer. The open atmosphere is calm and cool, and the service is amazing. The man there didnt know English and spoke Mandinka, a local language. But still was able to serve us with no issues. I ordered a local rice that I forgot the name of. It had onions and such. The food was delicious and we had many drinks to pick from. After we are they gave us wet towels to wipe our face. And we asked for water just before we left and they servedus no problem. 10/10 restaurant and would definitely go again.

Not wheelchair accessible ♿🚫. One of the nicest staff. They have another branch at the entrance of Senegambia called Saffron by the police checkpoint. I have had most of the Indian curries and I love them, they have a strong authentic taste. The chicken lollipop is my favorite, the lady fish is so good, The pizza is okay. The tandoori is so sexy when it comes out on the hot frying pan or the grills. Oh God the Biryani 🔥. The food is absolutely fantastic and relatively inexpensive. They have a large private space which is good for birthdays and corporate meals. Cant wait to explore more meals from their menu.

Very nice place to eat with family and friends. Food was good and service was also good. The manager came around and talk to everyone.

It is a really nice place where you can have some legit Indian food. As people know about that, it is crowded most of the evenings. Prices are decent. Only service is sometimes a little slow.

I have tried out few Indian restaurants here in The Gambia, but Vineyard has amazing Indian dishes from their curry to chicken tikka. If you like Indian food is the place to be.

Authentic Indian Food, great Service, very clean (we even got a Aircon for our table)

A favorite spot in Banjul! We consider it a must-stop whenever we are in town. My wife loves the fish & chips. I typically order the butter chicken. We have ordered beyond these items and have never been disappointed. Great location and a staff that works hard to make your meal memorable!

Very ill manered waiter told us he had a quite VIP room as there was an birthday.... in the main restaurant... But the quite VIP was very frequently rushed in by loud people attending the birthday... The food was average + but in general i would advise anyone to find a more quite place.... Lots of them nearby with much more qualified staff.... At one point the noise became too much and we rushed out to the counter to pay the bill as we dident want to stay in that noisy enviroment... And the waiter couldent even tell us they were sorry....

Excellent Indian cuisine as usual

We were fascinated by outlook of building. When climbed up, found there is no fan even in this african country Indian restaurant selling chillys food. We were harrased by mosquitos.A padestal fan came on recurrent requests. Chicken tandoori and and lamb bunna were ordered. When I tasted the lamb bunna, I found the meat tast was rotton and smelly. like recooked old meat. I complained about it and the waiter simple said he will convey the message. I did not touch after the first piece, and shared the tandoori chicken with my friend. The bill came for two dishis, with no nan, only 2 small bottles of water, 875 Dallasi, I left 900, and walked out. But could not sleep the whole night as got severe heart burn, 2 vomeeting and and passed the night walking in the room, the next two days of my holidays were ruined. I recommend stay away

Best Indian restaurant in Banjul area. You can taste here original taste of Indian foods and behavior of restaurant staff is also very good.

Gets many great reviews but I thought the food was average at best, and nothing like the quality of Indian curries you get back in UK

Firstly, we visited twice during the afternoon when it was not too busy, so service was speedy; Ive heard wait times can be extended during busy evening sessions, especially if there is a football match on as there are several large TVs scattered around. When my wife and I were there, it was quiet, the Indian food we had was delicious and plenty of it, and the service good. Prices were low as well. Recommended.

We are big fans of Indian cuisine and this restaurant could easily compete with the best Indian restaurants in London. Food was superb and service friendly - a bit cheeky we got charged for poppadoms even we didnt order them though. Price is very reasonable and quality is magnificent.

Wife and I went to The Vineyard last night for the first time after coming to The Gambia for years. A short 200m yard walk down the main road from the top of the Kololi Strip. The place was light, open and airy with a relaxed atmosphere. Definately not like the in your face noisy eateries on the Strip. An excellent choice of curries was on the menu along with a great cosmopolitan selection on an alternate menu for those who dont eat curries. We both chose a curry and it was prepared perfectly as we requested. The food was very competitively priced. The waiter service was great and friendly and the owner came and made the effort to introduce himself. If we had any criticism, 3 large screen tvs with footy on, admittedly without the volume, is an unnecessary distraction if going for a quiet meal. Definately would return again.
