Villas Caroline - Hotel île Maurice in Vacoas

We came in for a drink on a Saturday evening and found a lovely hotel serving dinner with brilliant live music and later some amazing Sega dancers and musicians - thoroughly enjoyed our evening and will consider staying at the hotel on our next visit to Mauritius.

Nice place for a casual retreat

Very good hotel location, near the center of Flic en Flac and beach next to the hotel. Beautiful view from the room. Hotel rooms required renovation. Stuff very helpfull and friendly. We could check in earlier than 14:00. Also after check out we could use one of the rooms to have a shower. We had only B&B but breafast buffet could be bit improved: there were no vegtables and if you came bit later the food was cold and not everything was available.

Highly recommended had a great week end and staff very efficient .

Good location and food but very restricted list of all inclusive drinks unlike other hotels.

I spent the first week of September in this place, so it was the period between winter and spring but the weather has been perfect! I went with two friends to celebrate their birthdays and we all liked our stay in Villa Caroline!First thing first: location and views, I can say one of the best. The sunset is just something magic!The rooms and service were good, if you remember that is a 3 stars hotel.We didnt spent all days in the hotel as we had many experiences and excursions but as far as I understood, the hotel provide many activities during the day.Also Flic and Flac has many restaurants and amenities just by walking distance, and in 5 min by bus you can reach the shopping mall.Many families, couples and elderly people but if you wanna have fun and just enjoy the beach, sunset and the beautiful ocean just go!Thank you to the kind staff, you all made it!See ya!

No beach,no drinks included and small rooms with room service which brings you fresh towels at 9pm! Lol

Staff is absolutely brilliant, nice resort, all inclusive you can get bored of the food so a couple of nights eating out makes all the difference.

Well situated hotel with friendly staff . The level of service and food quality is rather good . Seems like a favourite amongst tourists from reunion island and the local population.

Pros: nice food, nice and helpful staff, beautiful sunset, variety of food available for vegetarian also. All rooms have seaview.... pleasant atmosphere and quiet.Cons: Rooms are too small and furniture need to be refurbished.

Budget friendly hotel with direct sea view at Flic en Flac, the staff at the hotel are so kind and dedicated to your needs, you have direct access to Flic-en-Flac beach and other local facilities like supermarkets if ever you dont take the hotel meal plan, I would rate the hotel food on all inclusive basis 7/10 with open buffet, activities are limited but the overall stay would be a 9/10.

The plus sides are that the hotel is right in front of the beach. The snorkeling here is great. The food is ok. The downside is that the reception staff is not very customer friendly. Not accommodating at all whether you want to pay extra or not. The rooms are a bit old fashioned and housekeeping is every second day but there are stains everywhere. Not only in the rooms but also the dinning. There are information leaflets in the rooms that appear to have been used by many many people. This is the kind of hotel where you are just a room number. There are other hotels in Mauritius that not only are cheaper but much more friendly and make your stay memorable. We left this hotel with the sense of not feeling too welcomed.

Hotel rooms for standard needs a good renovation. Nice little hotel but not worth to be in the the rank of the 3 stars hotel. Breakfast was nice. Staffs welcoming. Shower drain was blocked and threatened to overflow. Sink’s tap had do filter and water was spilling everywhere on the sink top. Toilet faces a wall and waaaayyy to close to the wall that you can’t sit facing in front. The bed was squeaking a lot. Was not a comfortable stay.

Looking for a nice,simple, 3 stars hotel? This might be the place. With a nice venue on the front of flic-en-flac beach, you can enjoy the sea, sun and sand with an overall ok experience. Worth it if you’re on the lookout for a small hotel experience with one of the best looking beach out there.

A thoroughly disappointing stay at Villa Caroline. The place and furnishings could do with some updating, but to the cleaners credit, the room was cleaned to a good standard.The food and menu could use some imagination and hygiene measures, there wasn’t a huge variety and flies were often seen hovering and landing on open food.The worst part of the whole stay is the activities staff and the overall vibe that only white visitors get attention. There is nothing whatsoever available for children, the “kids club” apparently hasn’t been running for quite some time. I enquired with one staff member named Andy, and questioned what there is on offer. I mentioned my child is 2 and he offered scrabble! He and the other activities person never once bothered to say hello or involve us in the group activities they would provide at dinner, but the whites always got lavished by them. Very strange behaviour. Would not recommend staying here if you are not white or have children.

Very underrated place to stay!The hotel is on a beautiful beach with soft sand. Great cocktails and atmosphere. Friendly, attentive staff. Food is good, what you’d expect from a buffet. Rooms well equipped with beautiful views. Stunning sunsets too!Highly recommend!

Really nice hotel, directly on the beach. Very clean rooms and very very friendly stuff. Evening Programm very cool, like dancers etc. but not on new years eve..was boring..Breakfast and dinner very good..Lunch could be better.We stayed here over New Years eve. Still with all inclusive package you had ro pay extra for dinner...didnt know why..cause drinks were not free after 11 pm and the food was not better or more special then the days before..All in all we recommend it, but perhaps for other clients they could be more flexibel 😊

We stopped by for a few drinks and a snack and the people were very friendly and inviting. There was a wedding going on and all employees prepared everything very carefully and nice. The prices are good and the view on the sea is amazing!

Super nice place, rooms with balconies and terraces right at the sandy Beach. Staff is adorable like most of the citizens. I would only comment on the food, breakfast is so basic and same items every day. Buffet dinner too. Looking forward to visit again

The food was delicious,nice hotel.There were not many varieties of cocktails only 3 cocktails available in the all inclusive package unfortunately. The staffs were friendly and professional.

The food was awesome a large variety of choice.The atmosphere is good, the apartment are small but for a couple or a night stay its good.The beach is clean and maintain.The view is beautiful

U get what u pay for. Lovely hotel with nice beach view. For the price it’s really good and quite enjoyable here with friendly staff.Improvements that can be made: locker was hard to open with key. I wish cocktails were nicer and tastier. I don’t mind paying more if I could have gotten better tasting cocktails.

Fantastic location! A bit costly. Well maintained. Good food. The toilets badly need a water jet next to wc. More clothes hanging provision, shower cap a few more toiletries would do. Would have loved a tub too. Wifi weak ie non existant in rooms, lobby has good connectivity. Overall a nice place :)

It seems that all of the hotel rooms are facing the ocean which provide a great view from every room !We booked stay including breakfast and dinner. However when we arrived to the hotel, they upgrade us to all inclusive!The pool is great and the beach facilities are wonderful.High value for money!

The service was good. The beach is beautiful view and more relaxing. The room is okay Ill give 3star because the room and bathroom need to upgrade and decor. The shower drains is blocked and the telephone is dead not working when we trying to call the reception for service. Need to upgrade bed and pillow. Also the bar service was okay it not a proper cocktail drinks. Happy with cleaning service that put new towels, make up the bed everyday.

Reception staff, customer welcoming (none at all)manners again none. no tea coffee , phone not working , no iron in room.When complain to Reception, she couldnt be more unhelpful.Hopefully I shall not have to stay there again!However I must say hotel staff was nice and gracious. Reception take a tip from the waiters!

Reception people are also very friendly and helpfull.Only for breakfast are not many options, very simple. Swimming pool is clean and good.A lot restaurants near this hotel. And the beach is only 2 min distance. A lot food and snacks available on the beach. Good and delicious food.

The Best Service Ever! Staff very accommodating and helpful. They really go the extra mile to make you comfortable. Rooms are neat and cosy. Location amazing, the beach is right on your doorstep. Very nice accomodation. We didnt sleep there, but came to find our friends. The seaside in front of it is fantastic, the swimming pool is small but in a fantastic position. Rooms are tidy and nice. I woukd definitely stay there next time!

The villas are fine; facilities in the villa was adequate. The only major highlight is that you get a direct view on the beach, and waking up to that certainly does not leave you indifferent.Caution: the food is disastrous. Restaurant service was not impressive at all - no cuttleries were readily available unless you ask for. If you order soft drinks, there is the risk of the waiter forgetting to bring it. We had to ask for water twice (if only you manage to draw the attention of the restaurant staff!)

Lovely place to relax. Close to shopping centre. People very friendly and helps to make your stay enjoyable. It was my birthday when we were there and they even baked me a birthday cake. Resort is right on the beach. We had long walks on the beach. Would like to visit again.

Excellent value for money family hotel. Good buffet spread but coffee can definitely improve 😉Best snorkel spot in whole of Mauritius right in front of hotel. Aqua Adventure equipment outdated though - would love to have SUPs to play on. All in all, well worth a stay.

This small place is very cozy and barman are very amical. People there have the smile. We got the chance also to have have the orchestra present and this light up the atmosphere. Since, the amusement side is in an open space, thus you remain cool all the time.I will recommend this place. Its also open for marriage, anniversaries ceremonies, etc ...Sure, if you want to have some time with your dear ones, this place is a remarkable one.

Good atmosphere but bar is very limited in terms of non-alcohol drinks. Swimming pool is too close to where meals are served. Staff is polite and flexible. Food is excellent!
