Village Pizzeria in Bethel

I came here for a quick bite with my son. There was a “ I’ll be back in 10 minutes” sign on the door, there were others waiting too saying they had been waiting for a while. I was trying to see if there was someone inside, and they were. They looked and didn’t even ask us to wait inside. I waited 10 more minutes myself, It was chilly, and I was with my 1 year old. No ever opened the door. Never coming back here and making sure everyone I know won’t either.

Best pizza outside NY. I never miss getting a pie when I visit. Its the pizza I grew up with in Queens. Gonna freeze a few this time and bring them home to Wisconsin

Very good Italian style thin crust "ah beets". I ordered a small plain pie. $13.00 out the door. The crust was crispy. The sauce was very good. The mooz was stringy fresh. Added some oregano and crushed red pepper flakes - delicious!

Literally across the street from the motel Im staying in: pizza, tenders, fries were cold (fries were also soggy). The Philly cheese steak had virtually no meat on it. Even though Im staying in a motel AND ordered antipasto, NO utensils, plates, napkins etc. I called to let them know how my experience was. I was told "you have to take that up with the delivery man". Yeah, thats what I was told!

Just picked up a Clams Casino that I added tomato sauce and mozzi to and it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!

Not from the area but found this place while staying in the area. Excellent food 2nd time ordering from here and was as good as the first. I had a calzone from here the first time. It was excellent but too much for one person. Next order a small cheese pizza outstanding ( i am picky about my pizza). Ill be back to try other items. Also friendly service!

Large portions and food was amazing

Made it wrong the first time, went back, forgot the side of ranch I specifically asked for the first and second time, got home made it wrong again and put ricotta on it…worst pizza place. Will not get from here again.

Way too much mozzarella on everything, heavy handed with onions, as well. Indigestion!!!

The pizza here is just barely OK. Meaning its not bad but its definitely not good pizza. The cheese is oily, the dough is pretty bland and even though the sauce is good, they are very stingy with it. The little more salt and sugar in the dough and a little more sauce would make the pizza decent.The main problem with Village Pizzeria is the staff. They are incredibly rude on the phone. When you call in an order, the staff act like they dont want to be bothered.I figured they were just busy so I ignored the rudeness. I wanted to order a medium pie but the person taking the order kept pushing me to order a large instead. The price difference was minimal but I only wanted a medium pie. He kept insisting that the pie was only like a dollar more. Who hard sells a pizza? Not wanting to waste my time, I reluctantly gave in. The pizza was not ready by time I made it over and ended up having to wait 10 minutes. The tables are sticky and just not clean. From what I could tell, they put my pie in as I walked into the pizza shop. I spoke with the person in charge, paid for my pizza and left.Got home and opened up the box. The pizza looked good but it was disappointing. The dough was somehow stale. I will never order pizza from here again. If I had to guess, the hard sell was necessary bc they know you wont be coming back again.

Quick, delicious and affordable.

Had XL cheese pizza, very good. Mozzarella sticks, ok. Had their family meal, awesome. Great deal for 4-5 people.

Hole in the wall pizza joint with excellent food and service . Been going there for years. Never had a bad meal. Highly recommended!

They make a GREAT thin crust pizza! My favorite is their eggplant and we love the chicken parm grinder

Tonight is 540pm January 7th..2020.. then go to his place now eight times great deals for the food which is amazing tonight they dont deliver I live a little down the road theyre going out of their way to bring me some food because I dont have a car great people been there for a while....6out of 5 Stars-Joe M. Real, New York style pizza. The crust is done perfectly.

Stopped here for food on my way back from Boston. Had a slice of chicken/bacon and a slice of cheese. Both were really good.There are a few seats...it looks like they do more takeout than dine in.

Always great pizza. Been coming here for 20 years. They changed management about 8 years ago or so, thickened the crust but didn’t really change the taste. Wish they still did the “slippery crust”. Great joint either way. Best pizza in Bethel, not a chain!

Not what I was expecting. I love deep dish. And never had NY style pizza before. But Ive been here more than a few times and Ive really started loving the pizza.There was one or two pizzas that were subpar. But it does help to know what to order and put on a NY style pizza that makes it taste like a NY pizza.

A flavorful crust to die for, not one crumb goes to waste! Other places crusts goes straight to the trash when I get to the end of the slice, but Village crust is so good you just have to finish it.

My favorite New York style cheese pie when I go home to visit relatives. When Im about 15-20 minutes away, I call ahead to order and its always fresh out of the oven as soon as I pull up to take it home. Salty cheese, sweet sauce, and decent dough.
