The BEST food you can ever eat it is SOOOO good. Definitely 5/5

Food was great, service was great. There was some live music going on which was very good. My only prblem was it was way to load. I would understand it on a weekend night but on a weeknight im going out to talk with my group. Again the food, service and music were excellent. But if I have to yell at my freinds to have a conversation. Im probably picking somewhere else on a weeknight.

Taco pizza was really good! Service was subpar. Wait staff didn’t seem like they wanted to be working. Waitress did not come back to the table often. Boneless wings were also very good.

I Havent been here In years but it was just like I remember it. Red Wine Sangria was awesome sauce!!! Bread Sticks with Bourson dip was amazing 👏 😋 Waitresses was the 💣!! Only thing I didnt like was the price increase was a little over the top, but oh well I still ate great food and enjoyed my time.

I dont know if Im ordering the wrong items or what but, its just never good. We have ordered Pizza, Subs, Quesadilla, Salads over the years. Its just always lackluster. We have eaten in, ordered takeout and had I delivered. Its a convenient location to us with a wide range for their menu, but it never hits the mark, to each their own I suppose. We like supporting local businesses, but I think its over between VIP and us. Just leaving this review for others to think on it before spending their hard earned money in this economy.If VIP reads this, Id like to make the suggestion to switch from styrofoam takeout boxes, it creates soggy food orders if delivered or to go. Subs could go in a wrap and fries could go in a recycled paper carton to absorb moisture. I have a lot of other suggestions as well but I understand overhead and whatnot is expensive, Ill leave it at that, as it would make a world of difference.

I had my food delivered. It was very good I ordered a all meat wet burrito it was yummy.

Had the street steak tacos and they used Philly cheese steak meat. Our waitress obviously didnt listen to our order because she brought 3 plates of 3 tacos and we only ordered one set.

Order a pizza for delivery. The guy who took my order hung up on me without even taking my address. About 40 mins later Villiage Inn calls me ask for my address again. Almost $50 for 2 pizzas that looked like they just throw anything together I asked for extra parmesan butter on my crust, but nope there was nothing on my dry crust.

Lived in the area for 30+yrs first time eating Village Inn pizza and i was not disappointed. I will be back. Yum!

The patio is an excellent location to relax and eat with our dog. Unlike other patios, it has a nice garden feel with a deer fence so lush and the Hostas survive

Havent ate here in decades. Delivery for first time. Im a foodie. I like the freshness of my deluxe pizza. I usually do not eat the crust but its something about the bread. I will order regularly.Had to change my rating as order few times and I barely see or taste onions or bell peppers on pizza. Wish they would add more toppings like what I see in pictures.

I had the Ham and Swiss sub. It said a half a pound of a ham with lettuce tomato there where 4 small slices of ham. Very disappointing. Waiter was new but did okay. We werent very happy when leaving Oh and the sub was 13 dollars.

Ordered the wet burrito and it was amazing. Waitress was excellent and had our food and drinks in no time and the food was hot.

My Wife and I had dinner here on a Friday evening. The service was not that great and bringing us not once but twice the wrong Beer. Food was just ok.

We went specifically for the music! We saw Dueling Pianos with Denny Middleton, and Greg Poltrock.We enjoyed our blackberry cider very much as an alternative to the Founders Cherise, which V.I. was out of. Our food was good. We each had chicken casadias minus onions. The lettuce and black olives were on the side with sour cream, which is what I prefer!

Great staff good lunch menu. Priced right with good beers on tap.

I went here for Valentines day because my parents are divorced so it was more like an excuse for a family dinner anyways the pasta was really good

THIS establishment is MEH at best. Came in sat down at bar order a salad. 1hr min so far for a salad.(havent got it yet btwits not busy. Bartender keepa asuring me its another 5min.. Maybe 3 tables on the floor. Not everyone eating the bar is pretty full. Nats from the bar are all around my face. Flat beer. I caame 2 weeks ago for trivia. Also meh. If you want a meh time. Welp here you are.

Awesome service! We did not have to wait for anything; the server was friendly and nice (getting harder to find, these days). The pizza was great and the place was clean. We will be back!

Very good food, not much in the order, so order the dinner. But 45 minutes for lunch before food comes out. If u are on a deadline choose another lunch place. Otherwise I would have given a 5.

Came here for a 4:30 slightly early supper. We ordered a thin crust medium pizza to split with a couple of Mt. Dews . We waited 50 minutes for it and when it came besides being paper thin including the toppings half was burned beyond edible. Besides upping their prices the pizza wasnt worth our time. The soda was good tho.

Went on Friday night for live music and food. They had some new thing on the menu and what we tried was delicious. We had a great time..

Village Inn has some of the best staff in Grand Rapids. From the second you walk in, to exiting the building, the service is amazing. If I’m in the area and need food, this is my go-to spot. The food is great and comes out in a reasonable time. For lunches during the week, they have an express menu and sometimes a pizza buffet for quick stops. Highly recommended!

Saturday lunch at 2pm. Just one server running the bar and the dining area. ☹️ So...service slow and she even forgot to put my food order in. 😑 Not dinging her as she was hustling best she could. Another understaffed restaurant, welcome to the new normal.

Super great environment - came in for a quick drink and had a GREAT bartender who apparently is moving but made it worth while! Wish Karmen wasn’t leaving but I definitely plan on coming back after her amazing service and attitude! So refreshing having a positive and upbeat bartender! 10/10 would recommend seeing her before she leaves!

Village Inn is your typical bar. The place has a Buffalo Wild Wings feel with all the TVs. If you go here please do yourself a favor and get the bone in wings. They are the best wings around. I suggest getting garlic parm and sweet bourbon.

Ordered food to go for the first time Friday 10/8 around 8 pm. The description of the California chicken sandwich was more appetizing than the actual sandwich.The sandwich was good but nothing amazing. The sandwich was big. The bread was soft and seemed it be toasted with butter. The chicken was a real white meat breast. My sandwich had 4 small slices of avocado. I wished it had more avocado and bacon given how big the bun and chicken breast were. The sandwich had a roasted red pepper Mayo and pepper jack cheese but the flavor was very mild. It had a good amount of sauce and cheese though.The seasoned fries were good.It was easy or order over the phone. The food was ready in about 20 minutes and it was hot (temperature wiseas it was cooked to order. The prices are affordable. 4/5 stars for the entire experience.

Excellent service. The garlic parmesan chicken wings were great! Thank you Sarah, for great service, she deserves a bonus! She was working the bar and serving customers. Not sure if you were short on help Saturday August 28, 2021.

I meant to write this a few months back and forgot. The food is great and the rare error is taken care of quickly. However, that isnt the reason for a high rating. Their staff (at every level has fantastic customer service skills and I value customer service more than food quality.

Any food Ive gotten from Village has been very good. My husband loves the salad and i always get the 10" Taco Pizza. I think depending on who makes it, it can be piled up with very fresh lettuce and tomatoes and some times it doesnt, but over all its very good. Get the crispy crust makes it better, oh and i always get an additional 4 oz cup of salsa.

We come here weekly - dine in - have a favorite server (Sarah). But their communication and their "online order" is awful. Just placed an order - went through fine - ready at 7:30. Show up and theyre closed! Why would you engage in online ordering if youre bad at managing the system - it never should have allowed an order today, never should have charged my card.**** thank you for caring and reaching out. We never stopped coming and will not. Good food and good atmosphere.

The food was great, the waitress was wonderful. Put up with my jokes, my uncle van introduced me to the cook Bryan. Great guy and friend, and met the owner very great guy and cant wait to return here again. Thank you 😊Id give you a10 but 5☆s is the max. Friendly great group of people here.

It should be a Zero-Star review. The nachos were ordered without black olives and no onions and BOTH were covering the nacho. The chips were over cooked and there must have been a gallon of grease that pooled in the bottom. The taco dinners had no rice even though the menu description included it but had double refried beans instead. We also ordered guacamole for both dinners but only got one. Overall for the price this was a very bad experience. Also the price on the menu on website was different then the price when you placed your order on their website. And the taste was not appealing at all. Reminded me of one of those Kitchen Nightmare episodes.

Best food I’ve had in years. Definitely try the wings! Pizza was a win too. Just phenomenal, No exaggeration. I was blown away. The service, incredible. I‘ll be back super soon, and I live an hour away. More than worth the drive.

They are now open for breakfast and it was amazing. Prices were very reasonable, ingredients were fresh and good quality. I had a delicious sausage and cheese omelette with tater tots and toast. My friend had a breakfast pizza and it looked really good. She enjoyed it and had half left over. Highly recommend trying them out.

Excellent food and a great dining experience are phrases I would never use to describe Village Inn. The servers are great and the cocktails are fantastic but the kitchen moseys it way to your order so by the time you receive your order it is neither correct nor warm. After several unsuccessful attempts at ordering food we decided to never return.Response the owners: Yes, we left many reviews today. The quantity doesnt have to be justified to you. I think you are discounting this review since it was one of the few negative reviews we had. Doesnt bother me, but I know that our experience isnt an isolated event.

We had really great service here! They have a great comfortable setting, and its not too loud. We tried a flight of beers, and they have a great selection. The tangerine beer was my favorite. We also tried the taco pizza, which was really good. We would definitely like to come back, and we saw that they have karaoke some nights.

Good selection of craft beers and great entertainment by the Bucket o Maybes band when I was there. Didnt have any pizza this time, but it was great the last time I was there.

I loved the pizzas. The taco pizza is BOMB. I wish they had a family sized salad for takeout though. We ordered the extra large and it barely filled 3 small bowls. On the nachos and wet burrito, the cheese is either not melted or barely melted. I would recommend using in-house grated block cheese. The pre-shredded cheese has potato starch on it to keep it sticking to itself. It also makes the cheese not melt very well. Its a small issue, but an important one. Im sad that a family restaurant with great pizza turned into an almost full purpose bar. The pizza is still amazing though. Thank you for your time!!!

I would give a zero STAR, but it wont let me. I over heard a manager (caucasian malearguing with a guest about the happy hour menu/ check. Saturday July 13 somewhere between 9:45pm -11:00 pm The Waitress gave the happy hour menu to everyone in the group and didnt honor the happy hour price at check out. Didnt mention anything about a band. The lady (customer)asked why are the servers giving the menus when the prices are not being honored? He said because thats the way that it is, he was very unprofessional. He stated when theres a band/karaoke the happy hour prices are not valid. He even said "Yes she made a mistake and gave your group the happy hour menu...." So with that said, she thought he was going to honor the menu price but He said "You still have to pay full price."He said more but I could not hear I could see she was upset but she kept her cool and paid the regular price. To me, that was wrong, it was their mistake. Thats not how you treat your customers. I will not be going back to Village Inn on 44th street unless its under new management. I could see if its after happy hour time, but it was not that either. You should not be rude to a customer. I feel bad for that group. If they didnt contact corporate someone should. If they made the mistake they should honor it. Not raising his voice at a customer.

We have dined in and ordered out from here on a couple of occasions. The food is average and the pizza is average. We absolutely love the flavored hand tossed crust and the cheese bread though! They also have good appetizers, good specials, and good subs! Their basic menu prices are a bit expensive so watch for coupons and food specials! They have a daily express lunch for $5 and a special each evening.

Passable food, but seems to be poured right from a GFS container. Lacks a real sense of uniqueness. Priced accordingly. Location is easy to find, with a clean and put together look. Large screens make it the prefect sports bar regardless of where you sit. Service is good and efficient with an eagerness to please.
