Villa du Souss in Agadir

We were pleasantly surprised by the place. Its a beautiful mansion with cozy rooms and relaxing atmosphere. The host was super friendly and helpful. While its not in the heart of the city, its very well situated for those who are coming or leaving Agadir, as its close to the airport.

Unique and traditional Morocco family hotel. It looks even better than the pictures. Hotel owner is very hospitable and we really enjoyed the conversations with him. Highly recommended!

Établissement très bien placé pour un départ tôt le matin. Très beau Riad. Le seul souci aucun panneau pour annoncer le riad à l’avenir ça serait peut-être judicieux de mettre sur la route principale un panneau signalétique pour trouver plus facilement l établissement.

Nel nostro tour del Marocco ci siamo imbattuti per caso nella villa du Souss e ci siamo innamorati subito di questa bellissima residenza. Ci è piaciuta così tanto che abbiamo stravolto i nostri piani e ci siamo fermati due notti in questa magnifica oasi di pace. La villa è arredata con gusto, tantissimi quadri di pregio, molto luminosa e circondata da un bellissimo giardino. Tutti gli spazi comuni e la nostra camera erano molto puliti e molto silenziosi. Il proprietario e la gentilissima ragazza che ci ha accolto e seguito, sono sempre stati disponibili facendoci sentire a nostro agio e a casa.

Les chambres très spacieuses, confortables (matelas assez dursqui pour moi me convenaient très bien mais ils étaient réellement durs.Dîner du soir fantastique et petit déjeuner aussi.Encore un grand merci pour laccueil !

Villa du Souss is a beautiful old family home. The decor is exquisite. It is an oasis of calm and peace. The breakfast was delicious. The host could not have been nicer. The only caveat is that it was very difficult to find. My advice would be to request airport pick-up. We will definitely be back.

It was a very nice house with amazing people. The provider speaks perfect English and is a very nice and open-minded guy. The service was very good, the rooms are large and clean. The food was very tasty. You can really feel the culture and tradition in this house.The location is not really good reached without car. But for me it was OK because I had to go to the airport early in the morning and its really closed to the airport.Greetings from australia switzerland 😉😅

Le décor est absolument somptueux: le mobilier, les objets, les tableaux, les tapisseries, tout est sublime et sélectionné avec beaucoup de gout. Il sagit dune maison de famille rénovée; on y trouve des petites touches de décoration personnelle qui donnent une belle âme à cet endroit. Les hôtes très aimables nous ont accueillis avec le parfait équilibre entre chaleur et discrétion. Diner copieux et extrêmement savoureux, au calme. Petit déjeuner traditionnel, bon et copieux également. La bibliothèque et le salon marocain sont deux pièces au décor époustouflant. Limmense jardin offre différentes ambiances pour une balade matinale très agréable le long du verger ou des allées de romarin. Dici quelques mois, la rénovation du jardin sera terminée : piscine, bassin, fontaines par-ci par-là ...et là, ca sera le paradis sur terre. Merci infiniment à Mekki et Kaouthar pour leur accueil, davoir partagé avec nous un petit bout de leur histoire et bon courage pour la rénovation de lextérieur.

Me encantó el sitio!! Mekki es un súper anfitrión y estuvo muy pendiente a todo lo que necesitabas!! Tanto la cena como el desayuno estaba espectacular. La villa es preciosa y su interior parece un pequeño museo!! Disfrute mucho de mi estancia ahí.

We arrived at Villa du souss late in the night coming directly from the airport. Our host checked us airport transport and a rental car for the next day. Incredible service! We were more than happy with our stay and would recommend it especially to people who like a calm and relaxed place.

I asked the owner if this is a house or a museum, for it really looks like a piece of architectural heritage; a beautiful building indeed, decorated with care and taste, with all the necessary amenities embedded in a traditional decor that provides a very cozy and "feel-like-home" atmosphere.When I arrived, although it was way past midnight, Mekki was at the propertys gate awaiting for me with a welcoming smile and an elegant posture that never left him.The villa is very close to the airport (some 10-12 minutes by car), but the surroundings are so peaceful that you might easily think youre somewhere out in the wilderness. Combine that to the comfortable bed and youll have a sleep like never before.Excellent breakfast - furtherly enhanced by the conversation with a fellow traveler, a regular of the place (is there anyone who comes here once and doesnt want to become a regular? I dont think so).The only regret: that I was only staying here for less than 12 hours. It surely deserves more.

We stayed here for one night after a landing late. Mecci, the owner, sorted a great meal for us on the night we arrived, pick up from the airport without any fuss, and recommended a reasonable price hire car whihtwas delivered the next day.The room was big and clean, the grounds had a lovley garden which we enjoyed.Above all Mecci was a warm and welcoming host, the best we had in morocco, who did all he could to help us. Our two year old son still talks about him two months on!I recommend staying here.

Our stay in Villa du Souss was a truly amazing experience. If you want to see a bit of Moroccan culture, visit it.Mekki was very hospitable and literally planned our trip in Agadir from landing to taking off. He ordered us a taxi from and to the airport so we had no worries to get to the airport even for the first morning flight.Apart from the beauty of Vila, we also enjoyed a good food! We had a choice between several typical dishes. We chose kefta meatballs and vegetable tagine. Really tasty and amazing!Overall, we recommend everything and we look forward to our next stay in Vila!

La villa du Souss est exceptionnelle et représente une magnifique surprise.Située dans un magnifique domaine couvert de citronniers et de très nombreuses plantations et plantes décoratives, la villa est extrêmement spacieuse. Les chambres sont très confortables et il y a de très nombreux salons.Il sagit dune maison familiale dont Mekki prend le plus grand soin.Le repas et le petit déjeuner sont délicieux et préparés dans la meilleure tradition.Très proche dAgadir, nhésitez pas à faire quelques kilomètres pour découvrir cette pépite.

Situated just slightly off the beaten track, Villa du Souss is an oasis of great hospitality in beautiful surroundings. Well worth seeking out. Meki is a wonderful host, helpful, unobtrusive and informative. We will visit again!

Un havre de paix…Nous avons passé un séjour merveilleux. La villa est encore plus jolie que sur les photos. On se serait cru dans les 1001 nuits. Les chambres, les salons sont magnifiques, tout a été choisi avec goût, aucun détail n’est laissé au hasard. L’hygiène est irréprochable. Le petit déjeuner et le dîner sont copieux, et sont faits avec des produits de qualité. Le personnel est adorable et très discret.Pour couronner le tout, Mekki, notre hôte, a été aux petits soins. J’ai rarement vu une personne aussi bienveillante, gentille, avec beaucoup d’humour et dotée d’une telle sagesse…Encore merci, nous repartons avec de beaux souvenirs.

I speak often about it and cannot forget the place and its stories and the memories we made on our adventures that were only possible with the help of our knowledgeable host. If you stay here, you are in for a special treat. The owner (a fantastic hostconverted his parents former retirement home into a gorgeous bed and breakfast.The home is exquisite! It’s full of beautiful Moroccon art and is an art piece in and of itself.Take your time, explore the gardens, admire the details. You will not regret staying here. I can’t wait to come back and see it in the day light!

Au sortir de la tumultueuse Agadir, en retrait d’un grand axe principal, vous trouverez la Villa du Souss Eco-Lodge située dans un jardin arboré d’un hectare et demie offrant calme et quiétude.Cette superbe demeure est avant tout une maison familiale que notre hôte Mekki a décidé de transformer en maison d’hôte, tout en gardant l’esprit initial. Celle-ci dispose de cinq chambres chacune équipée de sa salle de bain. Deux grands salons à la marocaine, dont un accueille une bibliothèque où il est bon de s’asseoir… Balcons et larges fenêtres ouvrent sur le jardin et sur les montagnes.Nous avions demandé une demie pension, il nous a été offert des mets dont certaines recettes, sont héritées de sa maman et du papa de la cuisinière.Tout en discrétion, Mekki et son équipe sont attentifs et à l’écoute afin que le séjour se déroule dans les meilleurs conditions.

Our stay at Villa di Souss has been perfect, amazing, warm. The host welcomed us, we had an interesting talk. We had a walk in the garden of the the villa and discovered the sunset! This was a beautiful end of the day, the colors of Maroc were at their best.I suggest you to have dinner at the villa. We enjoined a typical dinner with local dishes in one of the many living rooms of the villa. The food was very good, homemade and the service was warm and very polite.Also breakfast has been very good.After dinner I suggest to take some time to read a book in library room. Have a seat on one of the sofa and enjoy the sounds of the nature with your book.The rooms are all different one each other, all that is needed is available. Simple and clean.Again many thanks to Mekki for his kindness and the beautiful hospitality. He is taking care with heart of his villa and every year with his precious work he is keeping this stunning place a good spot to stop! It is the second time we stay here and I am already looking forward for next year!

Great host, telling inspiring stories about the venue, about Morocco and giving tailor made tips to spend time at authentic places. The villa itself is so beautiful, with an endless amount of details that make you want to explore every corner. The staff is super friendly, good mooded and cooks great meals. We stayed here a full week and used the place as our base camp for many excursions exploring the area. A week felt too short and we will definitely return. We fell in love with Mekki (the owner), the house and the region.

BEST PLACE for vacation ever

What a excellent place with a wonderful individuality and charming host. Mekki takes a genuine interest in his guests.Throughout the house the decoration is a reinterpretation of traditional arts and crafts.Quiet yet convenient for the airport and Mekki can provide taxi at a good rate and far better than offered at the airport. Arrange before you arrive to avoid delay.Theres a big garden. Well go again. Thanks Mekki.

10⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Endroit magique, accueil excellent, plat traditionnel digne dun chef, chambres très propres et spacieuses, belles terrasses, magnifique jardin, tarifs plus que raisonnables.Nous avons passé un petit séjour à la villa du Souss, Mr Mekki est très accueillant, généreux, au petit soin et de très bonne compagnie. Son amour pour cette majestueuse villa, se reflète dans chaque chambre, chaque salon, chaque arbre, chaque terrasse... Bref chaque coin.Bravo Mr Mekki, votre villa a une très belle âme, bonne continuation, nous reviendrons, cest obligé.

Perfect place to chill out

The Palace and the room were beautiful. The garden is amazing and the owner is working to make it better. Here we had also the best tajine of Morocco. The story of the palace is touching and we are happy we could meet the owner.

A bit difficult to get through because the Google Maps position is not the correct one and we ignored the e-mail the owner sent us previously with the correct location.One arrived we discovered not only a Villa but a small luxurious palace, with a wonderfully well preserved garden and welcoming, friendly staff.

Best experience before you start your travelling in Marocco. Best food I had and learned A lot of the country, because the owner speakes very good english and his knowledge of the middle east is intresting. I recommend this place even more when the swimmingpool is ready. Be aware that you will never eat this good in whole the country (chicken tagine with sesame and pruns!)

Beautiful, elegant, and authentic Moroccan family house run with passion, style and love by the incredibly kind host Mekki. We spent only one night in this gem of a house, very tranquil and cosy. The house is full of original Moroccan details, family memorabilia and good taste. Despite our late arrival, Mekki welcomed us around midnight with a big smile and a simple light midnight meal! The breakfast was, once again, simple and delicious prepared with home made products (orange juice and olives!accompanied with interesting stories about Mekki’s family house and useful tips for visitors. Highly recommended is an understatement.

Mekki, the owner, is super nice and welcoming. His 50 yo house is wonderful, big, detailed. And food is great too!
