Great place, Good Food and friendly staff

Prices are not too hectic. Only problem is that the smoking section / bar are not wheelchair friendly and the menu stays exactly the same with mediocre food.

Went there for a birthday dinner (againwhat happened to your chicken schnitzel? Dry and horrible, not up to par. And for the love of god get rid of that load "live" entertainment. I want to have a conversation with people not shout at them.

Well priced and great food. Perhaps a little dated in their decor but that shouldnt detract from the wonderful experience and great value. We try to go here whenever we are in the area.

We had the pleasure of having dinner at this restaurant,to celebrate my mums 70th Birthday,we where received with a warm welcome and seated a nice tabel in the non smoking area.We where attend to by "Charles", he was attentive to all our needs,and an experience on his own,very good at his job,keep up the great work.The food was 10/10,we ordered,seafood,chicken,meat,all the dishes where exceptionally well presented and flavors hits all the right spots.Thank you to the team that was on shift that made the evening memorable.

We sat at the bar and the bartender was just a disappointment. Food was tasty but not enough Portuguese dishes and flavours from what we ate, it was tasty like English food but lacked alot of spice and flavour that makes Portuguese food Portuguese. I will never come back to this place. Overall I think people go there for the drinks more than the food. However though, the two ladies who welcomed us where great but I wish that they would have carried attitude throughout the the staff.

So you like Portuguese food? How about a bit of Greek? Or traditional South African cuisine? We tried Villa Verde on a hunch .. It turned out to be a great choice. The Kingklip was done to perfection and the Lamb Shank - Kleftico was super soft, the meat fell off the bone .. The service was great, we are new to the area and will definitely be back for more! Still the best Portuguese restaurant in South Africa... Service takes while but the food is never disappointing. Plan ahead for the wait and you will enjoy

The seafood isnt so great. The steaks are excellent!!! The place is very affordable. Very great service and everyone is friendly! The vibe is relaxing and chilled especially having the karaoke and band going while you enjoy your food. For desserts the Crème Brûlée and caramel peppermint pudding was average. The tiramisu wasnt great.

Excellent place to dine in at. Place was peacefull and food is divine. Enjoyed the Portuguese Lambshank with potatoe and had Strawberrry Cheesecake.

My favourite meal are the Steak Cubes with the scrumptious chips. I love the tasty gravy with the bread. Excellent!! Hubby enjoys the Tripe.

Good food...

Excellent service from friendly staff. They know the menu and able to recommend meals. Pleasant atmosphere. Interesting menu with a large variety of Portuguese dishes including grilled sardines, tripe and Bacalhua. Delicious! And properly made and presented Irish coffee.

My friend & I ordered the Lamb shank and Oxtail. This was without a doubt the BEST food we have eaten from a food outlet during our stay here. Both meals were well cooked, well seasoned and very generous portions. From my observation, the restaurant itself is very dated, but if what youre looking for is GREAT food, Villa Verde is the place! I forgot to take a picture of my oxtail😢

Was our first time at Villa Verde, had a great evening...Food was really good and service was top class... Will definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great value for money, friendly outstanding service and a tranquil cosy setting...This place has a spot in my favorites list for sure...Compliments to Villa Verde... !!!

Best food in town!!!

The bathroom was filthy in my recent visit during the week. Customers at another table Complained about long waiting times for food in which the waiter said the kitchen was busy and some foods take longer on which the customer replied I ordered fish. How long does fish take. Waiter was a bit annoying and food took a bit longer than average. Not sure If I will revisit

It is a good restaurant to have a meal with family and friends. The dishes are abundent and true to the Portuguese culture the restaurant represents.The steak dishes, Villa Verde Rump and Villa Verde Fillet, are very tasty and worthwhile.As far as the deserts go the Portuguese Kisses is a must with the perfect blend of caramel, chocolate and ice-cream!

Great experience... The atmosphere was fantastic and the food was even better. There is live entertainment and they also have a variety of cocktails to choose from.

Fantastic Portuguese food with live music and the option of the restaurant or separate bar area.

Menu selection is excellent but they are missing a few options for seafood dishes for one.Starters are varied but very expensive.Wine selection is also very good but like the starters a little too expensive for the more commonly known wines.Atmosphere is relaxing and service is generally great. We were not in a rush and I got the idea that the kitchen is not inclined to deliver food quickly, however the quality of our meals more than made up for this. We appreciated the comfortable atmosphere and the relaxing pace as opposed to many restaurants that rush the whole dining experience.
