Yehoshu'a Bin Nun St 13, Jerusalem, 9314531, Israel, Jerusalem
In a leafy area offering restaurants and cafes, this informal hotel in a stately stone building is 2 minutes' walk from a bus stop and 3 km from the revered Church of the Holy Sepulchre, which is in the Old City.Unfussy rooms provide complimentary Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and minifridges, as well as tea and coffeemaking facilities. Family rooms come with sofabeds. Upgraded rooms have balconies.Freebies include breakfast and afternoon buffets, as well as loaner bikes. There's also a terrace.
Probably the best hotel Iโve stayed at in Jerusalem. Special thanks to the concierge, he was beyond hospitable and even helped with finding a free parking spot
My wife and I had a wonderful stay here. Eman at the front desk was incredibly helpful is sorting out all of our needs and welcomed us warmly every morning. The hotel organized a spectacular tour of the old city for us as well. Very helpful staff, beautifully renovated building, and a perfect jumping off location to discover this part of Israel. Highly, highly recommended.
Beautifully quaint hotel. Friendly service. Rooms Beautiful decorated.
Beautiful hotel in an amazing location! The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms are really nice and spacious with all the amenities required. Breakfast was good as well. All in all a very nice stay in Jerusalem!
Very nice place and quite kind staff of the hotel. Only drawback is that you must go to the meal (breakfastlike 400m far to the cooperating restaurant and it is not directly stated on the hotel booking page (i did not find it there)But rooms are very comfortable and you get some gift and also personal welcome letter from the manager of the hotel. And over you stay free coffe, tea and fresh water is available in the lobby of the hotel. It was pleasant stay, thank you!
Small boutique Hotel at the heart of the German Colony. The building is beautiful and also the neighborhood. Service at front desk was ExcellentRooms are small but nice with Molton Brown shower amenities!! The only downside were the bed (Two single beds together..)and too short ,and pillows - it would have been great to have more choices
Beautiful character building with a fantastic shady patio area in a quiet residential area less than 30 mins walk from the Old City.Great location within a few minutes walk of a buzzing area full of shops, restaurants and cafes. We loved the complimentary coffee, ice tea, water and little refreshments available in the lobby area/lounge (a delightful place to sitand the pedal bikes.Very quiet comfortable rooms with lots of lovely little high-quality โwelcomeโ extras.Manager and reception team were extremely helpful and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Reception staff were even able to help us find a last minute rental car for a very good price when our rental got cancelled and there was no availability online.Very well-run, small, friendly, high-quality hotel where each guest feels valued. We would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again on another visit to Jerusalem. Thank you for a wonderful two night stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Moshava! The location is fantastic and so is the cafe for breakfasts. Concierge were very friendly and suggested a great place for dinner, there are also some lovely treats in the lobby. Rooms are beautiful, comfy beds and very clean with all the extra details to make your stay even better. Will definitely be coming again. Thank you!
Great staff and great location
We had several annoying problems. First, our checkin process took a long time because they had a computer issue and they wouldnโt let us enter the room. Secondly, they donโt say so on the website or in Booking, but the breakfast is NOT in the hotel. Itโs a 10 minute walk, and itโs NOT a buffet, itโs service with a menu and the choices are limited. Itโs also not mentioned that the breakfast is NOT kosher. Iโm addition, when we finally got to the breakfast place and finally ordered, the food didnโt arrive for 45 minutes and we had to go, so unfortunately we were late for an activity AND didnโt get to eat.We were later given back the breakfast value but of course we still had an upsetting experience.Other than that the rooms were cute and the beds were comfortable, and the staff friendly.
We stayed for 1 night at โVilla Brown Bamoshavaโ,Jerusalem. We had nothing but high expectations from a well known hotel chain. One incident after the other made us feel different, resulting in great disappointment (surely against the price, and what we are used to for such budget!).Already upon entering, we noticed that the bathroom did not seem very clean, the toilet seat and other equipment were under-maintained/broken. Then, we were astonished and disgusted to find long hairs stuck in the drain hole!!Also, upon making the reservation, we saw in the hotel website that the accommodation includes โspecial breakfastโ in a cafe place outside the hotel. Breakfast experience was found to be indeed โspecialโ, but not in a positive way:1. Any standard breakfast in hotels in Israel are served from 7am or at the latest from 8am. Upon check-in, we were told that breakfast is served at the cafe only from 9 am! We were planning other early morning plans which made us to choose whether to cancel those in order to enjoy breakfast. Then, when requesting to reserve a table for 9am, the receptionist told us that it is already too busy and we can have breakfast only at 9:30!We had no choice but to agree, and we found ourselves waiting for our breakfast from 6:30 am when we woke up, for three hours. We cancelled the original plans for the morning.2. In fact, we found the cafe was around a 10 minute walk from the hotel. At over 30 degrees centigrade, this was not fun.3. When we arrived there, we were asked to provide a voucher from the hotel which we were not told about and was never provided to us. The cafe asked US(!to call the hotel and sort this out. We found ourselves needing to deal with this all throughout our breakfast. Real nuisance. When we called the reception, they(!were the ones surprised we did not stop to take a voucher before leaving the hotel, and they told us we were supposed to be informed upon check-in that we should have. The receptionist said she will call the cafe place to settle this. After ten minutes during which she didnโt, the manager in the cafe approached us again, and asked if WE(!could give her the phone number so she would call the reception. So I Googled the number for her!4. Breakfast was quite minimal, nothing which starts to substitute a standard (not to say, generousIsraeli breakfast in decent hotels: for instance, we were told we can choose ONE drink only, hot or cold. If we want juice and coffee, we will already need to pay for that! The food itself was quite mediocre- the salad was fresh, but the breads were dry, the smoked salmon had a non-fresh pale color & included a bone which I nearly swallowed. Very minimal. Not breakfast one would usually get in a Fattal/Isrotel/Atlas hotel.5. At the end, we needed to leave a tip (rightfully from the point of view of the waiters). Lucky we had cash with us.The experience of needing to deal with paying extra money on a breakfast-included hotel reservation is a first to me! Not pleasant.Further, the Brown website also referred to each room including a large closet. When we got to our superior room, we found only a couple of shelves. Also the minibar fridge was empty with no beverage offered (even for purchase).Lastly, although we came across several mentionings of the Brown chain as a dog-friendly hotel chain online, (This was how we made our choice in the first placethis did not turn out to be the case. When making the reservation two days earlier, we were told by the reservation center rep:โall you have to worry about is bringing food for the dog. We will take care of the restโ. Upon arrival, we found out that in fact the room is not dog-friendly and accommodation does not include anything suitable for a dog (e.g. mat, bowls, etc.and floor is wall-to-wall carpeted. When we called the reception, he had nothing to offer but was just surprised we were told otherwise. To summarize in one word- disappointment.Low value for money
Cozy little boutique hotel. Situated in a historical residential neighborhood called the Greek colony. The staff greeted us at reception with a glass of champagne. We walked up the stairs of the historic building to our room on the second floor. We stayed in a room with high ceilings and a small balcony. Clean sheets, robes, slippers, Nespresso pods, and a bottle of water were in the room when we arrived. The bathroom had a nice shower. We had two firm single beds pushed together to resemble a queen mattress. There was a wide variety of tea at the reception. A garden with patio furniture surrounds the building. There is a single outdoor bath tub for those wanting a soak. They had 4 bicycles to borrow,so we took a nice ride on the renovated train tracks trail up to the first station. The bikes needed a bit of maintenance, but were free and easy to take for a spin.We had dinner nearby, and walked back through the quiet neighborhood late at night. We payed extra for two massages at the "spa". Its a single room with a single massage bed where the attic would be. Our masseuse was talented and polite. We enjoyed our Thursday night stay. On Friday we got a breakfast voucher for either Ben Ami or Caffit restaurant (kosher dairy). We had a nice couples Israeli breakfast at Caffit.
Our stay in the beautiful city of Jerusalem was made even more enjoyable by staying at this wonderful hotel. Situated in a quiet street that is so close to the shops, cafes and restaurants of Katamun. But however lovely the building is, however good the position is, a hotel is only as good as the staff working inside it.....and the staff here are simply fantastic. In the words of Arnie, "well be back" x
This boutique hotel was lovely. The hotel itself is housed in an old home built in 1918. The rooms are chic, the ceilings are very high, giving even smaller rooms a large feel. The small touches like the refreshing drinks and espresso machine available in the welcoming lobby, Nespresso machine in the room, robes and slippers, and the chocolates make a guest feel very welcomed. The charming garden patio with tables and chairs is a wonderful place for coffee or drinks with friends. The best part of the hotel is the hospitality. The staff is very attentive and nice, true hospitality, especially Sufian, who greeted me at both of my visits here. The location right off of Emek Refaim is amazing as that street has many cafes and shops. I will be returning here when I visit Jerusalem again.
What a lovely stay! I spent a week visiting my daughter who is studying in Israel. The staff were helpful and kind. The hotel was impeccably clean and comfortable.
Villa BaMoshava is the definition of a boutique hotel. Very personal service in a beautiful old building. The staff are smart and well-trained in individual service, which I found to be a rarity around town. They were outstanding. Our room was small, but extremely comfortable, with most everything we needed in the sleeping area. The grounds, along with the balconies in the rooms and on all sides of the hotel, provide charming tables and sitting areas. It felt different than anything Ive ever stayed at in Jerusalem, and they truly went out of their way to make our stay lovely. I so appreciated the cappuccino machines in the lobby that were available to us 24/7, along with hot tea and coffee paraphernalia in our individual rooms at all times. This makes a hotel stay so much more comfortable! Emek Refayim is literally half a block, or 1 minute walking distance, where you will find all kinds of food for breakfast lunch or dinner. The only drawbacks were in the bathroom: the lack of shelving space in the bathroom and a bathroom mirror that was hung so high I could not see my own face in it, along with very bad bathroom lighting. Theres really no good space to put your bathroom bag, but with all the other delightful and comfortable and special touches in the hotel, after a while, I got used to it. Id recommended it highly and choose to stay there again. They did a great job!
Great location, friendly staff clean upscale rooms.Just watch out for parking !
In two words - very disappointingstandard rooms are very small, we got a room that was not clean and had moldy smell. we had to change the room, they changed it quickly. the second room bathroom wasnt clean either. To have breakfast you have to get out of the hotel and walk for 8 -10 minutes to a near bay cafe, mind you - tip is not included so you shold have some cash.
Beautiful building in one of the prettier neighborhoods of Jerusalem. No bar or restaurant and maintenance level could be improved
Excellent rooms at a quiet & hospitable place within the picturesque German Colony, with many small restaurants and coffee places around, and close to multiple places of interest.
The hotel is located in quiet and lovely neighborhood, the rooms are a bit small, but comfortable and great. The staff is super friendly.
We got a room with no window ( that you can open...the bathroom wasnt clean and a part of the shower was missing. For the price that we paid we did not get a good value
very nice hotel in quite street. just loved its design. Thank you for lovely stay. although breakfast should be modified to other Coffeeshop. we got minimum breakfast. other than that every thing was a joy!
Excellent location, near by public transportation or ~30 minutes easy walking to city center. Nice small rooms. Good service. Excelkent for nice romantic vacation.
Very nice hotel, looks very old school. Service is great and the place is clean. Although it is a bit noisy in the room (you can hear musicand a few technical issues. But its a great place to stay!
Unique hotel in a beautiful restored building,Hotel staff is exceptional nice, and especially Mr. Sophian at the front desk.Very recommended ๐.
The stuff is very friendly. They do their best to set you satisfied. You can get free coffee and tea all your time of stay.you can take their bycicle for free and tour the city.the location is nearbye to a main street and to the "tahana" center.good value for money.
Exemplary hospitality, perfect location, great service, reasonable priceThe happy hour was just what I needed on a Friday afternoon!
I spent nice time there . Excellent place for businesses and pleasure stay. Donโt miss happy hour.
We had a really great time here. The staff are super helpful, and we (and the other guestsgot all sorts of complementary perks, like pre-dinner wine and cheese in the lobby, chocolate and water in the room, and walnuts, which were brought to us while we sat in the front yard. The rooms were very clean and stylish, and the location in the German Colony is within walking distance of several parts of the city that are great for food and drinks, shopping, etc. The distance to the old city may be too much to walk unless youre fit and have time, but it is only a short drive/bus. The front yard is a great place to sit and read/think.
Pleasant and calm ambiance of the hotel together with the friendly and helpful staff and within two minutes walking distance of bustling Emek Refaim... What could be nicer!
The room was cosy and clean. The design is unique as in other Brown hotels we visited. The lobby people were very welcoming and tended tื our every need with lots of patience. The whole building is not too big and so is the lobby.
We spent an excellent evening at Villa BaMoshava recently. The hosts were fantastic and welcoming and the room was comfortable. We benefited from a corner room with two balconies. The hotel is on a quiet street and near the main streets of the German Colony in Jerusalem. There are plenty of restaurants within 10min walk. The lobby serves coffee and water 24/7.
There is no wheelchair entrance. I think it is illegal that a hotel is not Wheelchair accessible. The wheelchair had to be carried up the four stairs at the entrance. The hotel was not sensitive to our needing to checkout after Shabat T 6pm.They insisted that we vacate the room at 1pm and spen d the afternoon in t he lobby.
The hotel is lovely, with interesting architecture and comfortable rooms. The happy hour in the evening was elegant with tasty appetizors and a variety of good things to eat and drink! The proprietor was kind and helpful and helped us feel welcome! The breakfast served at Cafe Smadar was excellent!
We have stayed at the Villa on two consecutive visits to Jerusalem and the ambiance and staff never disappoint. The front desk, the maintenance crew, the housekeeping staff, all go out of their way to make sure each guest is comfortable, attended to and satisfied. On our last visit, we changed rooms (since we needed a bigger suiteand had a technical snafu with our reservation (unrelated to the hotel). The team at Villa BaMoshava could not have been more helpful, solicitous and friendly. 2019 was a very frenetic year but I made sure in 2020 that one of the first action items I would take care of was singing the praises of this wonderful boutique hotel in Jerusalem. Excited for our next visit.
This hotel is beautiful, historic, with fantastic service. Perfect location, close to restaurants and cafes, and easy walking to Old City sites. The front desk staff were great - friendly, helpful, and responsive. And the daily evening wine and cheese etc was a really nice touch - fun too. Highly recommend and will stay here again next time.
Nestled in one of the finer districts in Jerusalem, Villa BaMoshava is a beautiful 100 year old hotel that has been tastefully upgraded in all of the right ways. With friendly staff, comfortable rooms and a high-end experience, anyone visiting Jerusalem should stay here. Located about a mile and a half from the old City, yet easily walkable should one choose, Villa BaMoshava offers a peaceful respite from an otherwise bustling city. You simply cant go wrong staying here.
We had a wonderful time here. The service was excellent and very friendly. Very quiet location, with close access to a number of good restaurants and Cafe. We can only recommend this place.
A really nice boutique hotel, with great service & excellent rooms.great location in a quiet street, walking distance from city center, transport is comfortable & easy.recommended
Lovely friendly boutique hotel. Small but very comfortable. A converted old house, high ceilings. Very helpful reception. Very attractive garden and seating area. Lots of restaurants near by.
Nice hotel with a large number of good restaurants near by. Breakfast is hosted in a choice of two local eateries which gives you a breath of fresh air. About 30 minutes walk to walled city though buses are running up the road.
The place was quite nice two years ago but: There is no breakfast served anymore and they no longer offer the happy hour. The place could be cleaner. The staff at the reception barely speaks English and is not helpful like it was. However, the location is great and there are lots of restaurants very close.
Disappointing. Weve stayed at this facility for years and were always impressed with the level of elegance and service.Under the present management our room was inadequately prepared with dirty towels in the bathroom, no water, missing refrigerator, no Do Not Disturb sign etc.The personnel were very responsive in correcting the multiple deficiencies but that does not excuse the sloppy management. We were also disappointed that the previously wonderful breakfasts and high teas were no longer what they had been.
Great experience. the rooms are a little small but very cozy. We got a better room in a higher floor just by asking. very nice staff and lobby.
Good for lower cost hotel. Manager was very hospitable and welcoming. Cleaning standards could use a lift as โcleanโ sheets needed a change. German Quarter is a great location for resultant, itโs approx 45 min bus ride to the Old City with a bus change downtown
The owners were so helpful and even extended happy hour so we could spend time with a visitor. The rooms, while clean were small and lacked space for a bit of washing. We so enjoyed the breakfasts and a nearby restaurant - outstanding. Small touches such as coffee cakes, dried fruits in the rooms all made our stay excellent. I would most certainly recommend this and would return.

A green and quiet side street in the middle of the Greek Colony and the German Colony, right next to the magical train station, the Cinematheque and other places and attractions within walking distance. Its a romantic hotel with a unique atmosphere that was renovated and tastefully decorated. From the moment we entered, we felt at home. A hearty reception, amazing service attentive and pleasant, from the manager Mr. Sami to the last staff all very polite and friendly.Every request we asked was of no avail. Unbelievable! The rooms are beautiful, very clean and luxurious. Quiet air conditioner, new TV, free Wi-Fi, quality soaps and towels with a fresh, fresh smell. The bed is comfortable and luxurious. As soon as we entered, dried fruit was waiting for us, a bottle of fine red wine and fruit. Quiet and pleasant. We saw a sunset on the porch and decided to come back here!It is highly recommended!
The pictures of the hotel are beautiful but some are of their others hotels(I assume. The comments were great and the location is great. The building is really beautiful, the location superb. The outside patios really nice... But our superior room was very small.Furniture standard and cheap. The balconies very cutewith nice furniture but the doors didnt open in one of them.(the one with the more private view)The bathroom is really nicely decorated but the bathtub was clogged and with a brown trim of dirt.Bad smell of sewage. We were really tired and did have the energy to demand. Hope the breakfast will be nics. The patio is lovely. Will write tomorrow more.
Great small hotel. Very nice workers. The breakfast is very tasty with different great flavors. The room was spacious and clean the shower was clean and new. Quite place for people who want to truly have the experience of Jerusalem by taste veiw comfort.
