Service was amazing..

Was only in the bar. The bartender was nice & had a sense of humor.

People were Fantastic & a great ChineseResturant

Zero personality behind the counter - I felt like I was an inconvenience. Room was cheap so what do you expect.

Went to the cold beer store. Was disappointed that they have multiple things listed on their board for sale but they have stopped carrying them.

To have multiple signs with the Viking indoor playground both inside and outside of the building. To only find out they sold the playground years ago is sad. If they can’t be bothered to remove 4 screws holding a sign, then how can one expect them to offer a clean and sanitary place to stay. 🤷‍♂️

This hotel is a regular hotel room that you would expect for the price. We didnt find any issues as stated in the previous reviews. There is a bar that empties out at closing time so there will be some people talking outside. But it was a good room for the price.

Very dated and dirty place. A face cloth in my room appears to have been used to clean the floor and put back as clean. It was more brown than white. Stains on the carpet. Not sure if the bed sheets were a cream colour or....dont even want to go there. However, there are limited options once the Lakeside resort fills up.

Disgusting. Stayed during -30 evening. The staff in the bar couldnt be bothered and waited 30 minutes to sign in. Baseboard heaters were turned off in the room and bathroom heater wasnt functioning. I turned the heaters on returned to work.I returned to have a shower the shower was not cleaned. I went to the front desk waited 20 plus minutes to ask for an other room nobody was there.Even with hot on only the water was luke warm. The room was still an ice cube hours after turning the heat on. Sheets were not clean I ended up grabbing a sleeping bag from my vehicle.The rooms look like something out of csi. I would rather just sleep in my car next time

Definitely not fancy but it was clean and the staff took good care of me.

Room was dirty when we got there.. staff was nice to clean it when asked..air conditioning was not working properly.. very expensive because the Icelandic festival was on.. the shower was not working probably either.. so disappointed.. when telling the staff about all theses problems they didnt seem to care.. i would not recommend this place.. and they still wanted the 280 i payed for 2 days.. i feel that i should have been some discount.. i definitely will not go back..

My sister and I stayed here for one night in June and we were not overly impressed. When we first arrived, no one was the front desk or remotely close. We waited for 15 minutes, even trying to call the front desk to no avail. Finally someone came, and they didnt know how to check us in. Two others came to help and they didnt know either so they had to call someone and finally figured it out. My sister was quoted the week day price, and we checked in on the Sunday so they tried to charge us the weekend price. My sister politely told them that she was quoted a different price and the girl became a little snappy. Finally once we got to our room, the room was meh. The first thing my sister did was check for bed bugs, to which there was none. The lights in the room shuttered on like something from a horror movie and hummed so loud that it was distracting. Later, we tried to turn on the lamp, but there was no bulb in the lamp. I went to the front desk to ask for a bulb and if they would come change it. Again, no one was at the front desk but a guy was working in the bar. He looked at me, I smiled and he turned away. After 5 minutes of me standing there, he clued in and came over. I told him the situation so he rooted around in the drawer for a while, put the bulb on the counter and walked away. I wasnt surprised so I went back to my room, bulb in hand, determined to change it myself. I tried to twist out the end part, because the last bulb seemed to have been broke while in the lamp. I couldnt get it, so my sister tried, then cut herself on the lamp so we stopped trying. The room itself was nothing too great. It was severely outdated, but mostly clean, the only good thing was how comfy the bed was. I thought I would test myself so I showered in the bathroom the next morning. Well I wish I hadnt. The hotel doesnt offer shampoo, conditioner, or any kind of soap so that was great. Moving on, after I got out of the shower, I went to reach for a body towel. I open it and its COVERED in black. It was almost as thought someone had dropped it in a pit of tar and then threw it back on the shelf. Tried another one, same thing. I checked all the others, and sure enough, they were stained. I tell myself to woman up and just use them, because they smelled clean enough. Probably the fastest Ive ever dried myself off. Continuing on, after looking at the toilet, I notice that the toilet brush in the room, yes brush not plunger, is still wrapped and has the dollar store sticker on it. If theyve ever cleaned the toilet with that, is anyones guess. Overall, not the best hotel and I would spare your money. For the $120 a night, its not worth it. It seems as though the bar is the priority and rooms are not a concern. Had murdery vibes and we only stayed cause it was for the night. We slept and left. Also note, I am a housekeeper for the hotel in my town, and I know what a hotel room should look like, this wasnt it. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I found the room very dusty. I find that for the price of the room should be cleaner. No shampoo/conditioner so bring your own.

The guy at the bar refused to take our debit card, said the only way to pay is cash. With all the TVs and pool tables and vlts, there is no way that it is a cash only establishment. We saw a debit machine when we left too. Total fraud. Would NOT go back. Waste of money.

Very disappointed with my experience here, dirty smelt bad, the owners don’t care about anything and the service was very substandard. I won’t be back here to spend a dime, and that’s a shame because I like to party. Chinese food was ok though.

Its a pretty spacious place with a patio, slots, pool boards. Decent liqour price but the food sucks!

I havent stayed or eaten here, however the little vikings play place in a good local alternative for these type of kids play structures.

Id give zero stars if I could. Staff is not trained properly. The rooms are disgusting and cost way to much. Everytime I try to phone one of their guests their "systems are down" so they say. Thats just their way of saying they dont know how to connect me. Just an awful place

The lady at the restaurant was sooooo awesome. She didnt kick us out at 9 when they closed. Great food!!!

Many things to do in the building, kid play area, bar and then rooms for the night. A little dated would be my only thing of concern

Fair priced drinks, friendly staff, lots of TVs and nicely located. Vlts dont pay out enough.

Good service. Both patio and inside had own DJs and both were lit. When its high time it gets too crowded for its area.

Had two rooms for the week. Cleaned both rooms twice in five days.. constantly had to ask for towels/ toiletries. Stained gross towels... they had installed a new tp roll in the bathroom before we arrived Monday as the piles of drywall dust were still on the floor under it.. well those piles were still there when we left at the end of the week.... in gimli again this week and will be staying elsewhere

Pretty much what you would expect of a motel when you walk in. Stains on the carpet, musty cigarette/pot smell, creaky floor. Something out of "Fear and loathing" (movie), walls are thin, can hear people in the next room (and their porn), rug hasnt been vacuumed for months, no screen on window, and comforter/bedding 40 years out of date. Only stay here if you dont want any sleep, and want a place to drink/ hook up.

Disgusting. Woman in the morning started swearing at me. Room was gross. Stains. a holes in the blankets. Beer bottles everywhere. Do not stay here!

Disgusting!- drunk people. You can hear yelling and swearing at 3 am.- thin walls. You can hear people having sex next door.- smoke is everywhere.- not clean. Towels have stains.- overbooking. Our reservation didnt even go through.

went for Chinese food. the food was pretty good, as was the service!! I would definitely recommend!

The room was small and clean, but could definitely use some updates. The mini fridge worked well, and kept our food we bought at the supermarket next door nice and cold for breakfast the next morning. The hallway had a musty, stale cigarette odor and the WiFi was slow and flaky, but the staff was very friendly. We were only visiting overnight, so for the money we paid it was decent enough.

We attended the Little Viking Indoor Playplace for the first time with our three year old. The value was amazing. $5 for a wristband that allows you to come and go as you please all day! Fantastic place.

I would not recommend anyone staying here, the room was gross, writing on the walls, big dents, smelt like old smoke, the lady at the desk was very rude! We went to the other hotel to stay for the 2 nights!

Basic enough amenities, but some things may need maintenance and you need to bring shampoo.

The room was clean and comfortable. It had a mini fridge and a microwave. The Internet connection was pretty bad though.

Dirty towel, floor stains in the room and hallways, there was a party in the hallway finally at 4:00 am management came to tell the 2 rooms that they had to keep the noise down.

The service was a little unprofessional. It took them a while to figure out how much our bill would be. There were a few drunk and rowdy men outside, because of the attached bar. The room was clean. Small tv.

The location probably was the only perk for this motel. It is very outdated, there ia only one person running the bar, vendor and reception. The beds are not comfy. Although the room was clean.

Play area is absolutely appoling same with bathrooms everything was dirty old food and drinks still there puke in sink etc

We booked here because they allow dogs. We should have known better because we are no strangers to Gimli. The stench was indescribable, the housekeeping nonexistent and the bedding was downright embarrassing. We stuck it out for a couple of days but we were overjoyed to find a last-minute special at the better place on the beach which allowed dogs. This place is fit for crashing in if you drank too much at the bar, but thats it.

The indoor Playground is great. The Chinese restaurant always has great food. The rooms are damp, smelly and have garbage and bodily fluids hiding behind every corner. Smoked in A LOT, gross cheap air freshener. Our stay was made into an adventure when people started banging on our door at 2am demanding what was owed to them. I didnt open the door, but yelling back to them to get lost didnt seem to help. If somebody bought this place and completely renovated the rooms they could make a killing, Im sure. I would not suggest booking unless you are a prositute looking to turn a few tricks during one night or are desperately looking for drugs.

Indoor playground for the kids was nice, Chinese food was good. Viking bar is classic. But as far as a hotel goes... rooms need some work. Everyone seems nice though.

Absolutely traumatic experience! Avoid this place if at all possible l! Staff was really rude and dont even have clean towels available, nor did they have soap or shampoo in the rooms & our roomed smelled so bad we werent sure what the stench was, we think it was cigarette smoke mixed with something like dirty underwear! We wanted out as soon as we walked in the room! Disgusting place. I dont think they have room attendants who clean very well, if at all! Not to mention the people next door were having sex so loud it was extremely disturbing. We left practically after entering the room! Wasted time & 90 bucks! Dont bring your kids to this place you will regret doing so! Wouldnt recommend this place to a single soul!

This place is marginal at best. Its not at all good value for money. The rooms were clean enough, I suppose, but all the furnishings and fixtures are long past their best-before date. The bathroom sink and tub are chipped, the carpet is frayed. The TV didnt work at all. The towels were ancient. All in all this place just wasnt that nice, it was way more expensive than it should be.
