It is one of the tourist destination in Pematangsiantar which is nominated as the tallest and largest Guan Yin statue in south east asia with the height of 22.8 m. It is also become the icon of Pematangsiantar city. So it is worth to visit
This temple have a good design and very charmfull. And beautifull landscape
This is largest taoist template in Siantar town. During Qing Ming/Cheng Beng Festival, local will come to pray their ancestors, deceased family members or love one.The temple is spacious, strict corona preventive measures, clean and less crowded during week days. Different deities are available for local to pray.
I think this is the most biggest buddhist temple at Siantar city. When i visited there in march 2021, people werent allowed to go upstair to the Avalokitesvara statue. But overall, we can still have a pray at downstair hall area
Nice place but a bit hot in sunny day
Local tourism in Pematangsiantar, car park is available and free entrance for all tourists
Located in my hometown Pematang Siantar, vihara Avalokitsvara has one of the tallest "Dewi Kwan Im" statue in South East Asia (22.8 meter). During the Chinese New Year, those who celebrate will usually gather here to enjoy fireworks. If youre in this city, do not miss this place!!!
A big Temple located in the city of Pematang siantar. It is mainly dedicated to Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva. The main worship hall is located close to the Manjusri Buddhist School. The Giant Avalokitesvara Statue is on the other side of the site.
Nice place at siantar town ,wisata localThe amazing place to visitU can get good picture
great religious tourist spot
A big statue of Avalokitesvara in a large space. Not much vegetative around, so please come only when the weather is good (morning or before sunset). At the complex theres a Buddhist School and also a Konghucu Temple to pray
Make sure to drop by here if youre a tourist.
Its amazing to visit this place and I feel the zen when you enter this place... Will be back for more obviously but I might come alone next time... I came with my friends and family so the vibe was a holiday and excitement vibe that was being spread out around us... I honestly think that if youre alone, you could feel the calmness in the breezy air that brushes your face...
This place features one of the tallest Buddhist statue in Southeast Asia. Why the three stars? Most of this place is constantly under construction (due to fire over 10 years ago), so it gives off some unfinished vibe.
Nice place and nice view to see... Nice Statue of Kuan Im Goddess... 👍
Nice Kuan Yin temple in Medan, Indonesia. Well kept and maintained, helps to promote a feeling of peace spiritually. A bit hot in the afternoon so best to visit in the morning or evening.
The oldest tample in siantar town and have the most tallest kwan im statue in south east asian
Good places to take photo and video.. from medan only 2 hours reaching the place
It was nice for chinnese. Especially if we are tour guide . Then we can arrange them to pray and see the building
Nice view. Was went there on sunday, not crowded.
A massive Kwan Im statue said to be the highest statue in whole Southeast Asia (22,8m)! Its an amazing landmark and a good place to take photos. There is no entrance fee, but sometimes there are people that will ask for it. It cost only Rp10.000 (they said its parking fee)The place will close around 6 p.mDefinitely recommended to come here!
One of the highest Kwan Im Statue in South East Asia.. a must to visit
Buddhist Temple with the tallest Guan Yin statue in whole ASEAN.Too bad by years gone this place looks more and more deserted.
Biggest Kwan Im statue in Siantar. The temple close at 5pm and some part are still under development.
last time i visited this temple was on 7th of june 2019. the condition was so apprehensive (badand not maintained.the main hall below the big buddha statue was close and looks bad.very sad to see one of the main tourists attraction in Pematang Siantar in such a condition. hopefully there will be a change for this place and can shine back like the brand new one.note : there is no toilet on this main hall, you have to walk through to the function temple after the school to find toilet. and you dont need to pay for parking fee or any retribution.
A good place for taking photos! Instagrammable for sure. The sculptures there are very lifelike and well-maintained. The place is also very clean.RECCOMENDATION:Try the very famous coffee shops in the city of Siantar! These coffee shops serve world famous aromatic coffee alongside GREAT toasted kaya butter breads. Must try!GETTING THERE:Via the new highway is the way to go. A lot faster.. just about an hour and a half from the city!
Nice place and view even still a little bit renovation still going on.
The most beautiful and biggest Buddhists Temple in Pematangsiantar City. With the tallest Buddha statue in South East Asia.Namo Buddhaya.
There is high dewi kwan im statue here. Nice place to taking picture.
Do not undestand what this place is for exactly. But typologically this place is a common Budhist temple shaped with larger statue and landscape.Apparently this place is quite fotogenic.
When I visit Siantar, I always try to spare little time to come here to pray. Not much people come here to pray, mostly come to take picture with the big Kwan Im statue. The temple is placed in small road, but you can find google map for help.
Its a nice place.
A calming place. The biggest Buddhists God statue was placed here. A good place to do a religion travelling
The place in Pematang Siantar to pray for Buddhism. Have a statue of Kwan Im Goddess. I think the highest Ive ever seen. Large field of parking space, it also can be a spot photo. It is side be side with Mansjuri Buddhist School. Beside the school is the temple to pray. Recommended for tourist.
The biggest statue of Goddess Kwan Im that I ever saw is here. It is a large and beautiful Buddhist Temple. People came here for praying and photography as well. A large parking lot and clean restroom are available. Keep it clean please. And do not be noisy since it is basically a worship place.
The stunning view of Avalokitesvara statue. The statue is very tall.
Dont miss traditional building opposite side behind the school, planty of Chinese nad tao godes there
The highest Kwan Im statue in Indonesia, located in Pematang Siantar city
A buddhist monastery. It is a good place to bring friends, family members and your loved ones. The place is easy to find and also you can get there easily. The place is just near Pajak Horas. Not so far from taman.Usually this place is visited most by people is on Sunday. Many people come here to pray (those buddhist), walk around or just for some photos. This place is a good place to be visited in Pematang Siantar
Nice place. Many people here for pray and take same inspiration.
The Buddhist let public enter this temple so they can respect each others religious beliefs. People come for praying, sight seeing and photography.
This monastery has a highest Gwan Yin statue in Southeast asia. Been here a few times, the place is cool since I love buddhist temple
A place where you can meet Indonesian people, Buddhist or not, and take photos of the statues. The big statue, I think a "goddess", is really impressive in size.
Still in the renovation, but most of all is OK. The Kwan Ims statue was so big and beautiful. Easy to reach.
At the moment Im giving this 3 stars as its still under construction (not that I saw any workers). We slipped the security 10k to open the gate and had a quick look around, wish I had seen it completed.
