Plaza Mirador de San Nicolás, 2, 18010 Granada, Spain, Granada
Bustling, picturesque square on an elevated hilltop, best known for dramatic sunset views.
Only the way up from the city center is already enough to trap your senses and make you feel you travelled in time. After a 20 minutes walk up hill, you get to a square where some flamenco music and the smell of grilled fish creates an atmosphere that youll remember forever. If you visit this place at night, the view of the Alhambra is simply breathtaking.During the day, and after winter, this view complemented with Sierra Nevada at the back covered by snow is just... wow!
As a mirador suggests, its a good look out but here you look across to the Alhambra palace with the Sierra Nevada mountains in the background. The city of Granada spreads out below. What a view!.It was a little busy in my October visit but not unpleasantly so. And a trio played & sang flamenco for money which was actually nice although solely because there were tourists here.
It’s a great spot to see La Alhambra from a distance , a bit of walking to get there but worth it. Did not see it at night but was told it a totally different view, even more impressive
Great place to senla Alhambra from far away and the walk for the village to downtown you will appreciate different views of the Alhambra through street stock in the past, but very rewarding walk all the way to downtown.
You can get some really beautiful sunset views of the Alhambra here. The view was not only spectacular, but there are live flamenco performers at sunset. A must if you want fantastic pictures and a good place to relax.
This is a must see in Granada! Its a beautiful courtyard with the best views to the Alhambra. The church of St Nicholas is beautiful, mixing both old and new. We paid 2.50 Euros to go up to the bell tower and it was worth it for the view to the mirador and great views of the city!
The view is exquisite at dusk, La Alhambra glows orange as the sun hides, and then the night view is even better.Theres loads of places to grab a beer or have supper up there, though the prices are obviously far more expensive than in the city tapas area, but its very worth the view, very pretty, perfect for dating. The square itself was way overflowed with people though.
If you want the classic photo of the Alhambra then this is where you need to be! plus its great fun wandering around up there and finally finding your way back down to town through the narrow streets. we went during the day time.
A Granada visitors must see at sunset giving a magnificent view of the Alhambra across the deep gorge of the Dorro river in front. It is at the very top of the Albaicin area so a fun climb through narrow streets to get there! (there are minibuses if you prefer). It does get very crowded so not as peaceful as you might hope .....
Amazing scenic view. I suggest to visit 15 minutes before sunset that way you get everything. And it is worth the wait until the night. It is a bit crowded but if you manage to get a spot (likelyyou will have a great time
This is a beautiful place and has a gorgeous view of the Alhambra. It is especially spectacular at sunset. It was well worth the long walk from our hotel.
Nice spot to see the Alhambra at any time of the day, but theres always a lot of people so be aware if youre looking for a romantic private place with you couple. May other places would be better. there are many other povs for the Alhambra over there at the Albaicín.
Very nice view of the Alhambra and the rest of the city. There are bus to reach it or you can walk 15-20minutes (not so easy for older people). There you can also visit the nice restored church of San Nicolas.
Great view of the Palace and surrounding area. Well worth finding it out and you will traverse some of the narrow back streets that give Granada some of it charm.
Mirador de San Nicolás(viewpointis the most famous viewpoint in Granada, Spain 🇪🇸 that is located in the famous Albayzin quarter, in the hills. Looking across, one can enjoy breathtaking views of Alhamra palace and snow covered Sierra Nevada(mountainsin the backdrop, particularly during sunset.
Great view but to get good spot need to be there well in advance. Wil be busy on sunset.
Very liked. Pretty much a must see if you are visiting Malaga.Beautiful views and architectures. We highly recommend.
From there you get a full view of Alhambra which is astonishing! Still can be very crowded at the evening
Absolutely awesome view of the Alhambra. More impressive at the end of the day, when the sun light fades and surrounds the compound with a fantastic red light. On it original form it should be a world wonderful place.
Wow well worth the visit had to get taxi up was long walk up hill boiling hot cheap taxis friendly great view
Breathtaking view of the Alhambra from the highest point in Albaicin. Lots of stairs and steps, so consider taking the minibus up if you struggle (€1.40). As you slowly make your way up towards Mirador St Nicolas, there are a few scenic spots in Albaicin where you get lovely pictures of the alhambra as well. (The walking tours in albaicin and sacromonte cover these quite well, and you get a lovely talk about the history of the area, so well worth considering!)
Amazing views. Both during the day and the night, great point for star gazing. You can see the Alhambra and a big part of Granada from here. You can visit the little church on the Viewpoint for free (See picture). Not the best spot for sunsets or sunrises as the sun in/out fades behind buildings.
Beautiful spot to see the Alhambra. If you go at night its even more beautiful but it gets super packed. Its definitely a local hang out spot. There are many other spots to view the Alhambra though, just walk around albaicin.
Incredible sunset shining over Alhambra, street music, coffee, cheerful people…it’s the best place to appreciate the beauty of the palace and the ambiance of Spanish enthusiasts.
Nice view of Granada, it gets pretty crowded close to sunset and there are not many places to sit. Be prepare to walk up the stairs. But still a nice place to visit.
Awesome place to hang out and for beautiful views of the Alhambra. It got super crowded in the evening but theres people paying guitars, dancing, etc. If I went again, Id go early in the morning when its not so hot in the summer and less people
A beautiful little chapel with a plaza and tower giving a panoramic view of the Alhambra. Its a trek up so be ready but its so worth it!
Most beautiful place to watch the sunset on the Alhambra
Dont you even think leaving Granada without going there. Try to visit near sundown so u can see the views with three different lights.
Another gorgeous white town with narrow cobble-stone and slate streets, with a breathtaking view.
It is a very fine spot to stop after a long day and enjoy the sunset while lights around the great Alhambra turn on to create mystic atmosphere. There is a small shop to buy beer and some people make music. It is very crowded though, with many people trying to photograph Alhambra palace. Definetly worth a visit.
Spectacular view of Alhambra and the mountains beyond from here.
It is a very nice place to be impressed by the Alhambra. You can have your beers and snacks with you to enjoy the live music during the evening. Please stay until it is dark to enjoy this great castle view.
Its a quiet place to see grant part of Málaga and enjoy the view.
Beautiful, modern church, loved it. And the view, from outside, across to the Alhambra Palace was just amazing. They were quite a few folk enjoying the view and a guitar was being played. Lovely evening.
Wonderful views of the Alhambra, the palace and Sierra Nevada mountains!! 🤩 Gets busy with tourists but still worth the visit!
Great food and experience. Even though the restaurant has reserved tables, they got us a table to accommodate us. The food was delicious and the wine cold. Even when one of my friends complained about the wine being hot, they got us another bottle on the house. The pastries were delicious as well. Highly recommended when visiting Grenada.
Sometimes crowded, but still worth it. A must see view of Alhambra. Especially at and immediately after sunset. The savvy traveler brings some wine, beer, or food to casually enjoy.
Contrary to your evaluation, I personally didnt impress this place. Its a little too far, at least if you want to take good pictures on your iPhone.
Great views of the Alhambra and the city. Try to go very late at night (it’s safe, don’t worry at allor very early in the morning. It gets very crowded!
Getting up here by bus your heart will probably be rushing not unlike riding a rollercoaster. I would be surprised if someone doesnt get clocked on the head by the side mirrors. However, once up here the sights of the Alhambra and the city are just delightful. Not a far walk from where the bus leaves you, and can get yourself some ice-cream and/or a cold drink immediately in front the "Mirador". Cant leave the city without a stop here if you are vacationing.
This place has a good view to the Alhambra. However we came here on a rainy day so no great photos. Moreover, the gravel walking paths on the slopes became really slippery.
The views here are great - not going to down play that. The walk up here is also not bad, there are a lot of vendors, food, and just liveliness in this area. You are in the Albaicin neighborhood so it is super cute and you have plenty of options for things around you. The issue with that is that this place is also PACKED. There is a person on every single corner trying to get the same view of the Alhambra. My suggestion is come check this place out, but go see the sunset from Sacromonte - less trafficked, more space. If you want bring some of your own food or drinks as that part is limited in that area.
It is positioned on the opposite hill of the Alhambra Palace, so it offeres magnificent views of it. You can reach it by foot (it is a very steep walk to this placeor you can take those small red buses. It is a very crowded place, but everyone can get a glimpse of the Alhambra view. If the place is too crowded, continue with your walk downhill and you will find some other view points (including cafés and restaurants with the Alhambra view; but you need to fight for a table).
Offers a superb view of the Alhambra and of the city of Granada. The way up through Albaicín was also beautiful, reminded me of Athens’ Anafiotika’s white houses and narrow staired ways. It’s definitely worth taking the time to walk up here and enjoy the view.
Location: Best view to the Alhambra - Under the sun (wear protection)Access - Easy access can go through bus from the city 31-32 (I believe)Budget: FreeCrowd - Crowded around noon and could be at sunset. Will recommend in the morningWhen its beautiful you can see the top of the mountain with the snow. Big blue sky. Gone there in the morning but its also beautiful at night during sunset. Will certainly recommend to go there and spend time just looking at the breathtaking landscape.
Great views bit of a hike even on a cold day. Too many people to take photos go down to the mosque garden or in front of the restaurants below. Some great restaurants and some not. Pass on the Tuna croquettes they taste like pureed sardine
Good to get the bus up and if you feel ok walk down. Amazing views. Well worth the trip.
Great view points to see Alhambra. However it’s full of people. I went here during sunset and there was no space to relax and watch Alhambra. Watch out for your pocket .
This is absolutely beautiful... I just happened upon it while walking around Granada. It should not be missed. However, reaching this by foot does require some physical ability, the roads are very steep.
