An exquisite place. Absolutely fascinating and densely packed with amazing art, educational tools, and information. A must visit. It took me approximately 5-6 hours and I strongly recommend not dedicating any less to this museum. But if youre short on time, Id say still give it a visit. Its a visual stunner. I especially recommend the sculpture halls, cast courts and the jewellery rooms. The musical exhibition is also fantastic but it might be temporary.

Another visit to another lovely museum, after our visit to the Natural History Museum. The exhibits are displayed and explained well, and there are lots of Italian religious imagery.I loved the Templar sarcophagus of the soldiers. They also have a paid Beatrix Potter exhibition currently, as well as African fashion and Korean culture. They also have a great souvenir shop in the middle, with some wonderful jewellery pieces of all price range.

Absolutely love this place. I have been a member for over two years and even though there was a long queue on the way in, I was able to go straight through. Fashion Masculinities exhibition is very well curated however not the best I have seen so far. Excited to see what the museum has to offer next.

We went to the current Africa Fashion exhibition then to the Arts & Crafts permanent exhibition. While fashion is a temporary and very fickle mode of expression, it was interesting to see the influence that trade and upward mobility have played in the development of indigenous fabrics & designs and how haute couture has enhanced the traditional clothing. Well worth a visit though it might have been a little easier in the comprehension process to have arranged the exhibits in North, South, East and West African designs as each geographical area is so different in their histories....?Then onto the Arts & Crafts permanent display. Was disappointed not to see as much of William Morris & friends as I remembered....?

Im not sure I can do justice to this beautiful place with a review. The building itself is awe inspiring, you cannot help but walk around in administration for those that designed and built this magnificent place it is itself a work of art. Having never been the V&A before we popped in and mainly perused the ground floor there is so much to see and marvel at. The craftsmanship of the past is not just beautiful but leaves you asking how on earth they managed to do it with the tools that would have been available at the time. I thoroughly enjoyed the V&A and look forward to returning to explore some more. If you decide to eat here the dining areas are exquisite, if you choose not to eat here walk through them anyway you will not be disappointed. Wonderful staff, lots of space so able to see the exhibits up close and as with all London museums free to enter.

The V&A is an amazing museum with so much to see it could take all day. I have visited several times but always find something new with each visit. It is well laid out with good facilities and the cafe is good too with lots of space to sit inside and outside. Would definitely recommend a visit as its free!

If youre going to see a museum in London, make it this one. Its a stunning museum with more wonderful items than you can possibly see in a day! Make sure to check out the jewelry gallery early before it gets crowded. Also, no need to go elsewhere for lunch! The cafe has fantastic food and the prettiest place to eat Ive ever encountered in a museum. Definitely a must stop, even higher on my list than the British Museum!

Such a wonderful museum. We started from the top and worked our way down so we had a lot of time to look at all the amazing ceramics on the upper floors. We spent about 4 or 5 hours there and still didnt see everything.

A cavernous museum full of weird exhibits and artefacts on multiple levels. Free entry! There’s lots of monuments and antiquities and a cafe and nice toilets. The building itself is architecturally pleasing with large rooms and smaller wood panelled niches. Worth a visit is you’re in the area. Some kids activities in places but kids would probably prefer the next door science or natural history museum more.

I visited this museum in 2013 and didnt go back yet because I wasnt too interested in applied arts or decorative arts until this year. I would love to go back and see how beautiful things they have. They have a nice resting area at outdoor and it was nice to see how people chill their lives.

What a museum, this is one of the must have visit places in London. It held a range of cultures history and a rare pieces. I really recommend this place and you should walk to it early because the museum is big and you need a time to read the descriptions written on each piece ( and the museum offer an audible translationall that with free (no chargeinterning.

One of my most favourite museum with spectacular exhibitions, but also lots of free areas to visit. The cafe is gorgeous too serving amazing food, lots of healthy options to choose from. Both indoor and outdoor seating with a little paddling pool in the middle of the enclosed courtyard. A life saver in the summertime during the heath wave.

A lovely museum with so much to see and learn! I particularly enjoyed the jewels, the British humour section, old furniture and the Japanese section. We paused in the cafeteria for coffee and to listen to the piano played by one of the visitors (inside). On a sunny day I also recommended sitting in the garden where you can admire the lovely design and colours of the building plus children splashing in the paddling pool. Plenty of lifts (some concealedand benches to sit on. Definitely a whole day visit plus a good choice of special exhibitions.

It is free and there is so much to see here! It would be difficult to see it all in one day. I also saw the Beatrix Potter display here (might be a temporary display- absolutely priceless to see the original manuscript of Peter Rabbit! (Special exhibits do cost money and advanced sale tickets are a must). It was very warm inside the museum, but there was a record heatwave going on.

My first time going here and i can’t believe why I have waited so long. I love everything about this place. Peaceful surrounds in a magnificent setting. Plenty of time to just stroll and really appreciate the exhibits and sculptures etc. Free entry (some exhibitions that you can pay for and which i will come back and do). Nice that there are people dotted throughout sketching etc so its nice to see their perspectives. This would have to be one of my favourite museums in the world.

Our visit to the V & A Museum was a quick one because I had my 7 year old Granddaughter with me on one of Londons hottest days. Beautiful place stuffed with fabulous exhibits. Lovely food areas and we even paddled outside in the searing heat. Unforgettable.....cant wait to go back!

A grand and eclectic collection of artefacts both artistic and craft orientated. They are from all parts of the world; many different historical ages and in a large variety of styles: there is something for everyone young or old. (For instance this time we enjoyed the photo gallery showing artistic shots from Britains industrial past .)

My favourite place to visit in London. So much to see. Fabulous gift shop which is incredibly reasonable. The museum is free to wander. There are sometimes exhibits that you need to pre book and pay for, but you can visit for free and wander around all day.We visited the Beatrix Potter exhibit today. It was quite small and it only took about 30 minutes to get round, but spent a few hours in total. There are a few places to eat here, a cafe a restaurant and an outdoor snack/cafe place. It was a glorious day when we visited and we sat in the courtyard. The fountains were on and families and children were playing in the water. Would definitely recommend visiting here

The V&A has a stunning collection within a beautiful building. The current exhibit “fashioning masculinity” is well worth a visit though £20 entry is a bit steep for what it is (comparing to special exhibitions in other museums around the world). The gardens and cafe are lovely.

Whenever I have a little spare time I visit the V&A one of Londons best museums. Today I enjoyed the Cast Court which is in two adjacent enormous rooms. Fortunately during the Victorian era casts were taken of various religious buildings and statues. For some of the statues they are the only ones left due to bomb damage such as the Temple Church in London.

I Attended a rather spectacular Faberge event here, which was truly remarkable. The food, the ambiance, the historical building including the Faberge event set up, made for an outstanding evening, that I will not forget.Although this is renowned for being a museum. I have been here on several occasions for luxury brand events, each one better then the last.Worth the visit if in London, the building is full of historical wonders. Should you attend an event, you are in for a treat. The V and A have a keen eye for detail alongside superior knowledgeable staff… what a remarkable museum!Simply amazing.

Wonderful museum and one of my favourite places! Beautiful space that is full of amazing art and artifacts. Perfect for families, with accessible spaces and lots to see. Be certain to spend time in the Middle Eastern section, which offers many surprising pieces of art that many westerners arent exposed to. Unfortunately, very little information on the impacts of colonialism or imperialism is addressed in the displays, which should be taken into consideration.

Amazing museum, with a very eclectic collection of sculpture and creative arts from about 300 AD to present day. The ceramics exhibit is astonishing, though Old World centered. Similarly, they have a glass exhibit that is phenomenal. The Cast Rooms are really interesting as well.

If you are in London and like beautiful things this is the place for you. Everything from ancient mosaics to Victorian teacups is here in this huge and beautiful museum. Paintings, sculpture, ceramics, clothing and other categories to numerous to mention, from around the world: it is all at the V&A. All amenities including a nice cafe are on site. Very close to two tube stations and in a lovely area, it is also next door to the Natural History Museum, and lots of places for upscale shopping and food.

This museum has a very eclectic collection. The curators have done an amazing job. A pretty big building, and every floor and every room is very well organized, the descriptions are interesting and make connections between the environment. There are big spaces with huge sculptures, and cosy rooms with very fine and small pieces. The cast room and its collection could be even a separate museum. It was beautiful, must to see.

The V & A always a great place to visit and visit again!!! They have shows, tours and focused viewings. The staff are helpful as its easy to get lost if going to see a specific era or artist, being such a vast museum. Definitely happily spend the day there. A great place to visit for all the family. There are various exhibitions to entertain and really wonderful to see a dance session which children could take part in, without a booking. The museum has numerous galleries from famous gowns to modern creations (like Harry Styles cardiganto paintings from different eras.Their copies of originals such as that of Michelangelos David are impressive to say the least.Well worth the visit especially with the family as some of the objects can be interacted with-try tying a caveat or creating your own monogram.

I took photos inside of the less noticed lines and dots and sketches if you will; the bones of the beautiful building. That being said the variety and astounding vast charm of this versatile museum are not to be understated. Do not hesitate to explore upper levels and back channels and cubby’s and so on. We found so much more when we explored the building. From art, to jewels, iron works, photography, fashion, facades, periods, dynasty’s and so on. An exceptional museum to say the very least. A VERY good way to spend a rainy day.

The description of this museum (onlinedoes not fully describe everything you will see here. It states textiles, fashion, etc. but it is so much more than that. The cast room alone is worth the visit, truly. We thought we would briefly stop in to enjoy the museum, and ended up staying for many hours. Definitely worth seeing. Some brilliant rooms - the cast rooms with replicas of the statue of David and other enormous jaw dropping sculptures and statues and monuments - it was worth coming for these alone. The jewellery room was also fantastic and so was the new Design exhibit. The Buddhism / Japan / Korea rooms didn’t wow me - felt stale, just walls of items in glass cabinets. Also Buddhism was located next to the entrance so was extremely noisy. The shop could be improved, the range wasn’t amazing. They only had items relating to certain exhibitions. I love gift shops and I didn’t buy a single thing. Worth a visit to this museum along with the National history museum next door.

My favourite art museum in London! There is a mixture of modern and traditional pieces: a little something for everyone. The most Wonderful Museum ever, i went there twice for at least several hours each time and it was not enough time. Be prepared to be amazed, and get ready to walk about for hours whenever you can take a break at one of the 3 tea saloons. They are beautiful and the tea goes perfect with some scones or muffins. As a recommendation start from at ground 0 and walk your way up. Trust me when i tell you, youll be pleasantly amazed about the different galleries and abundance of displays. From underwater until the space, everything is in this museum. So take your sweet time, enjoy and be wondered at every step. Check the jewerls gallery and the gold ans silver galleries, my favorites

Best place to understand a little bit of history and culture about various lineage around the world. David sculpture is so much massive than I expected, and the story about the artist and the statue was incredible. Its good to go with children, as it ignites the curiosity to learn about the monuments present here. Quiet and calm place best fit to go with a group of friends who have the same wavelength to get to know something new.Its my first visit here, and I felt that one full day is not enough to get to know everything presented here! Still decently managed to visit various sectors in this place.
