Shopping centre above station for clothing and gifts with a supermarket and fast-food outlets.
Victoria Place Shopping Centre in Kamba
Description
Privilege
Love it hear.Compact but lots of interesting food and drink outlets.
Nothing special , standard station shopping center , you can find all you need 😅😅
MoreThere are a good variety of shops and places to eat in the centre and I wouldnt have any complaints if it werent for the awful state of the toilets. The toilets are located upstairs on the 1st floor opposite the Mcdonalds.Firstly I got glared at and watched for several minutes by a cleaner who walked back and forth past me several times watching me when I was waiting outside the disabled toilet for my husband.I then went to the mens and it was pretty grubby, but the worst part was that there were 3 cubicles but only 1 of the cubicles had a door, the other two seemingly had their doors just ripped off with just the hinges remaining. The only cubicle was occupied too and I waited for quite some time but he wasnt budging, so I had to leave the centre to find another bathroom, as I dont think that cleaner would take too kindly to me taking a dump in the urinals- especially after how he seemed to feel about me just waiting near a door.
MoreIve been frequenting this station on a regular basis and everytime I bypass this shopping mall located over 2 floors above the busy train station. Its a good place to sit back and as soon as you climb the escalators, you somewhat escape the hustle and bustle of commuters down below. They have a sainsburys on the 1st floor and several other clothes stores such as new look etc.one more climb of the escalators brings you to their food court which houses kfc, mcdonalds, subway and several other food options such as tacos.plenty of seating around, although abit on the grubby side when moving towards the mcdonalds and kfc area but all in all, a great spacious place to be in for a quick bite to eat whilst you wait for your train.
Moretoilets need sorting out!
As you get off the Tube station youre greater by this more modern looking shopping area over 2 floors.Looked very clean and new. And friendly staff to help
MoreNot big, close to Victoria station
Toilets are an absolute embarrassment here! Mens toilet, one cubicle has no door, one cubicle can’t be locked and none of the toilets have toilet seats. Absolutely disgusting.Update: today mens toilets are closed completely, so where must one go after eating here?!
MoreAn ok railway station food and drink in station but prices
Transportation: Quiet reachable forVictoria Bus coach station,Train station,Tube access(Metro).Train station: Its a big puzzle if you are new there. It will be a long journey just between tube & train access bcoz of tunnels. Make sure you are educated to access between the platforms.Ticket counters: Available at centre. Self service Kiosk also available at same place.Escalator: AvailableFree wifi: certain partMobile network: Void when you are access tunnels for tubes.Eatery: LEON is not good in taste wise. Im not recommend it. Instead you can try other like McD, KFC.Burger King is bit pricey.Fast Food: MostlyAsian food: Quiet lessToilets: Available. Depends on which entrance you are using.CAUTION: DONT GET LOST. This place is real time killer.
MoreOnly visited the food court and they have an OK number of fast food restaurants. Food was piping hot and tasted good. Place was clean and sufficient space for people to sit and eat. But found it slightly more expensive than same outlets outside central London.
MoreAlways go through the other end of the station, bit a few good shops there, went to the perfume shop and got myself a very good deal on some aftershave!!
MoreA decent shopping centre. For me the main attraction is the first floor food court alongside the attached sainsburys food shop. My review may be a little unfairly low, however this is due to Victoria place being a place of practicality than enjoyability. I have never ventured into the shops as all of my visits have been to catch or disembark from trains in the adjoining station. I feel this may be the case of the vast majority of visitors where shopping after getting off a train or before boarding is not the highest priority.
MoreNice place and not too busy
Very good experience my daughter in law loved it..and wanted to hand in her CVITAE.Food a 10 out of 10..lobster & Oysters delightful not heavy at all...considering l am not a lover of Italian food...choice was of wine was fab...my the waitress...outstanding and cute little place...
MoreNice to have a selection of places to sit and eat at a train station rather then just a grab and go. Few other shops are there, like Holland and Barrett, HEMA, New Look, Next, Outdoors so not just food shops.
MoreThis was pretty good, actually better than I expected it to be.I expected a usual railway station. However, this turned out to be absolutely stunning. Its filled with all sorts of shops one could imagine of, typically a mini mall with a hotel as well.Theres also a separate floor which has further more food option like kfc, subway, vegan restaurants and much more including a phone repair shop too.Although the Mcdonalds was close. Luckily there one nearby on just a 10 minute walk.Good railway 🛤
MoreSpacious transport complex, limited retail stores. Fast Food floor has a variety of restaurants McDonalds, subways and Costa however unfortunately on the multiple occasions this location was visited KFC has been closed. There are uniformed site officials present able to navigate to train platforms etcConstruction outside of the locate.
MoreThis place is ok to go only if u r in transit or in emergency. Food court get lot of homeless people who get venerable sometime. No halal food and toilets are often dirty and cubicles out of service some time. Shoplifters and pick pocketing is also reported.Clear and easy signs are not their first priority.Drunk people are often seen in and around this place. Security is helpful and professional but their green jackets put u off as cleaners also got same uniform.Few time we couldnt finish our food as homeless people sat there were smelly, snoring and some time begging around .all in all not very pleasant place to visit .car parks machines are out of service every now and then but attendants are very helpful.no ramp for wheelchairs from sainsbury side entrance. No lift to go down in to station make live harder for old and people with special needs.
MoreNot a great choice of stores, always busy and because of the area, its not the cleanest place in the world either. Theres a small size sainsburys and boots and thats about the only useful shops here. The food court on the top has a nice little selection of McDonalds, kfc, eds easy dinar, tortilla, subway and a pizza place. They have a couple of cleaners up there, but because of how busy it is, its usually a little dirty.
MoreAte at the pizza buffet place, myself & 2 children. It was ideal, friendly staff once seated we got our food & all happy with it. Fresh pizza came out & some of the salad bar was topped up. Also do refillable drinks ideal to go with the food. The staff came & checked we were happy with everything & a fair price. I would eat there again & ideal for kids.
MoreGreat place to eat as their are plenty of restaurants to choose from, I enjoyed eating at Pizza 🍕 and Co. The have a buffet lunch and dinner. Great food and a good service.
MoreExcellent place, modern, clean, lots of shops, restaurants, coffee places, Everything what you need when you wait your transport
MoreI use this as a cut through when traveling from the coach station to the train station say enroute to the airport. With a good selection of eating places upstairs there is plenty for anyone to get a good meal, from breakfast to dinner all at very good value. Also a good selection of shops to pick up those things that one may have forgotten
MoreWas a decent shopping area with lots of local hawking there goods. I went there in order to see what they had and then grab a quick bite to eat from one of the local carts from the vendors. There are a couple of currency exchange places in this area which is pretty good. One of which I wish I would have kept their name because there was no exchange fees and their rates were very reasonable for exchange of currencies.
MoreA variety of different food experiences available, I havent tried all of them but what I have has been fantastic. You can do some shopping but make sure to keep an eye on the time you may miss your train.
MoreVery busy, quite small but very useful little shopping centre right next to the train station. We came here whilst waiting for someone to be seen in the passport office which is just around the corner so it was helpful for us to have this place here, where we could stop and grab a milkshake. There’s a cash machine in the middle of the centre too, although when we were there it wasn’t working. Some of the shops there are expensive but equally they probably do well in London as they may sell gifts etc. It’s not the sort of place you’d probably go for your usual shopping trip at the weekend, but it’s useful if you’re stuck for something on your way home or waiting for someone or meeting someone.Hope this helps
MoreTheres a few handy shops in Victoria station that make last minute gifts and snacking easy. Theres a large food hall and a Sainsburys which is handy when you need to pick something on your way home.
MoreEscalators are frequently out of order here. Not enough shops.Could be good but just not good enough. For such a big station there is so much potential. It really need a a revamp upstairs and downstairs.
MoreMy visit to Victoria Place Shopping Centre was brilliant and a nice bit of shopping put on down side we went into Costa I think it was Costa the coffee shop in the middle and on the menu was a toasted tea cake and the guy behind the counter did not know what one was so pretty damn useless please if youre not going to train your staff but later on in the evening we wont get back to to pestos restaurant and Freddie the guy guy in charge was really helpful when nearly an hour late because my legs were playing up through my arthritis and the understudy and very polite and very accommodating brilliant I think you should give them a pay rise and promotion you couldnt do enough for us on the path of Allah was on his own with just a chef and he was working his bits off to help everyone excellent I would recommend it
MoreI was lucky I stayed in hotel next to this place. You have everything you need. You gets food, medicine, clothes, a underdround and a bus staion. It is usually packed with people so dont be surprised if someone bumps into you bi mistake. You have seating banks and a smoking area outside.
MoreThe thoroughfare that is Victoria Place. The beauty of this selection of shops is its convenience. Open late and close to Victoria Train Station platforms.
MoreSometimes they charge you to use toilets, sometimes they dont. The escalators will often break down leaving a long walk up and down flight of steps, otherwise you have to go back way you came and walk long way round. The shops themselves are alright with food, clothes and health shops. With more food places upstairs .
MorePredictable mini shopping mall in the station..usually meet my brother here. Lots to eat and some shops too.(Thanks for the comeback, Vic. Place, and by predictable, I meant no criticism! The place was clean, buzzing with shoppers and people in transit to somewhere..and the atmosphere was akin to an airport mall. Personally, I dont see what could be added to improve what is already there. I hadnt noticed Security; perhaps I wasnt looking closey, or it was discreet, but Im certain at least a guard or two patrol the area. Perhaps the introduction of soothing piped music ( generic classical type..at a bearable low voulme!)? Good luck!
MoreGood selection of restaurants and a decent number of stores. So you can pick up pretty much anything! Staff tend to be accommodating, albeit slightly rushed. Staff in Lush are exceptionally nice!
MoreFood was good. A bit quiet as we early so quite peaceful.
We visited here often and really liked it.PLEASE use the elevator instead of the escalator if you have mobility issues. We did not notice that there was an elevator until after I took a tumble on escalator going up.The safely gents who helped us after my fall were wonderful. A kind man even insisted that he buy us tea. Everyone was so kind.
MoreIt is a small shopping mall compared to the others in London, however It is really nice when you dont have anything to do while waiting for the train or the bus since the bus station is 5 minutes on foot far from the railway station. You can find a lot of places to eat.
MoreShopping great, limited seating when eating room for improvement I think.
If youre ever in Victoria Train Station and the shops there just doesnt do it for you, then you can head up the escalators to Victoria Place. Its more of a row of shops that a shopping mall housed in a rather shiny part of the station. Theres the usual choice of high street chains. A bit of shopping & eating area with a wide range of restaurants, coffee shops and convenience food.
MoreThe variety of shops is pretty good for a short stop over between trains or coaches. However, the mall staff definitely need further training on customer service and diversity as Ive had the wonderful experience of being told by staff that I "wasnt disabled enough" to use the accessible toilet during a visit today. The staff member in question then proceeded to walk away before I had the chance to explain exactly why I needed to use this specific toilet but even if he had stayed, I shouldnt have to explain something so personal in front of the other customers he humiliated me in front of today.
MoreNice little shopping area while you wait on the trains. There is a free toilet there and lots of places to eat or just rest your weary legs.It has access for people with disabilities. It benefits from lots of security. A great travellers stop.
MoreA lot of shops are overpriced but what do you expect in London. A nice place to browse if waiting for a train but wouldnt shop here regularly. The staff at lush cosmetics are brilliant, friendly and helpful and the smell from the store is always amazing. Cheese shop next door worth a look too
MoreSo, Im reviewing a train station that is a mall and has a food court. Who would guess what my life has reserved for me?!? Anyway, the food court is pretty big, it has McDonalds so you wouldnt starve there, and there are trains so you can move across the country. Pretty greate ah?
MoreIt was a nice experience at Victoria place. A nice station.
A very busy part of Victoria Station, London, but good for those who wish to have a little breather between their travel. As I was traveling to Amsterdam, I found this Food Court value for money on McDs and Costa Lattes. Dont expect to find ANY Menthol Cigarettes here, however.
MoreThis is one of the best food courts I have been to in England however they make you pay to use he toilets (now thats uncool but dont let this put you off aa there is a free to-use large convenience just down the escalators at the Victoria train station). I love the whole idea of the co-eating area and you get to smell all the different spices from the different food vendors (dont know if its a good idea for vegan to have to watch the supposedly conscious omnivores feasting on flesh). Anyways be sure to make a stop at the Victoria food court the next time you visit London.
MoreConveniently located right above Victoria station with budget and upscale restaurant choices. Food options from Pret, McDonalds to Prezzo and everything in between. The whole food court area is neat and well maintained.
MoreLower mall for the shopsUpper mall for a wide choice of restaurants and the odd burger joint
MoreIt looks like a nice new area with quite a few restaurants around!
