Victoria Falls National Park in Hwange

Photographs and videos do not do justice to the mighty and magestic Victoria Falls. There is a total of 16 main viewing points so to soak it all in, its best to arrive early in the morning so that by midday you can grab a bite to eat. There are so many beautiful views and opportunities for photos so ensure you have sufficient storage space in your devices. There is a lot of fact-rich geographical information one can read by the entrance on how the Falls was formed, its comparison to other waterfalls around the world and what the future holds for it.Unless they are waterproof, a waterproof bag is a must-have to protect your gadgets from the mist. February-May is when the Zambezi is full and the Falls is at its flowing peak after the rain season, however, there is so much spray and mist. The spray is also very enjoyable especially during the hot months, otherwise, do wear clothing that dries quickly and pack a raincoat. Just ensure your bag zippers are closed and there are no snacks in view as there are monkeys around.Do ensure you carry sufficient water for the hike as the refill station is by the exit. The last viewing point is that of the bridge that facilitates crossing between Zimbabwe and Zambia. This is also where bungee jumping takes place as well as where one can visit the bridge café. The bridge view is even better from the Zambian side. There are so many activities to sign up for and enjoy.

It is an amazing place one could think of during vacation. Nature at its best.

Water level is low at this time of the year, even then the Falls are impressive and refreshing

Visited in September, low water. Great rainbows and clear water. Brush is brown so easier to spot animals

A must-see, of course, but as everything very touristic - persistent touts at the entrance are tiring. I stayed from approx. 2 till 6pm (sunsetand found the light/rainbows most attractive early afternoon. Closer to the sunset you will only see rainbows at the last viewing point towards Zambia

The falls are beautiful to behold but the disparity between the gate fee payable by the locals and international visitors is too much.

Great views of waterfalls, pretty hefty price of 30 USD for foreigners. So I recommend going the whole route, taking a break and then doing it again. Amazing view of the bridge across Zambezi as well. Bring a raincoat or a jacket because on some viewpoints it rains constantly from the water that is thrown in the air by waterfall.

Worth it. Get ready to get wet on some of the walking sections. Breathtaking nature!

Absolutely a wonderful experience. They are many view points spread out over about 1500m of the falls. A small portion at the far end is in Zambia, but you can view it. For the main parts, you get out right on front of them. Prepare to get wet.

Overrated, too crowded, too expensive, will never go back.Going with your own car from Botswana costs approx 200€ of border crossing fees. Plus 30€ per person to enter the park, which has absolutely nothing except some trash cans (no bench, no rest area).The falls are impressive but youll find more exciting views in other parts of the world (eg, Iceland).

A spectacular sight, the experience of seeing this mighty wonder of nature will live you astounded. The rainforest is well maintained. If you thinking of visiting the Falls, think no further. Go witness the beauty of nature.

The view is stunning a real natural wonder of the world. You can view it from either side of the border, that is Zambia or Zimbabwe and it still delivers an astonishing spectacle. The trail has various vantage points, about sixteen, from which to gaze or stare at the roaring, thundering waters. In between, pose with Dr David Livingstones statue or keep a wary eye on the monkey 🐒 or baboons scrounging around the bins for a fizzy drink or discarded bite. Try the Devils 😈 Pool or the Boiling Point or simply wonder at the bungee jumping dare devils. This is a must!

Get to experience wild life in their natural habitat..get a view of the mighty Zambezi..

Great place to visit, for those who fully want to enjoy what the park has to offer and avoid crowds make sure to visit the place during off peak season that is during normal days whilst avoiding holidays. We visited the place during heroes and it was packed. For locals, entrance fee was pegged at $7 if you have your ID and $30 if you didnt have your ID or as international visitor.

Small and busy, the views are always amazing. Game drives here are great as the park has a good deal of wildlife and it is so close to the rest of town.

Very beautiful. The waters levels are very high at the moment and its showering all over especially where it offers the best views of the falls. Still beautiful. I had a chance to do the flyover as well and its even more impressive from the air. Good trip for the whole family

For the best and most fun experience go without an umbrella or raincoat during the summer youll be dry by the time you leave. Also best time to visit is after the rainy season once once the Zambezi is "full".

Stunning! I was there in Oct21 when the water levels are usually low however a fantastic time to visit Victoria falls. This time of the year you can actually see the falls and experience some amazing activities like the white water rafting at Zambezi and the Devils pool on the Zambian side.

Entrance to the park was seamless with the presentation of an ID/passport and the payment fee in US dollars. Even though it was the dry months, one could feel the slight misty drops as we went through to viewpoint 1 and 2. Starting there with a short 38 step walk to a viewing point already shows the immenseness of the Victoria Falls. The walking path is wide enough to allow a couple of people side by side and we could push our pram with ease. The various viewpoints got more and more spectacular as one went past the boiling point (viewpointtill you could see across onto the Zambia side as well as the Victoria Falls bridge. As always one should bring water and a hat, it is deceivingly hot in the duration one takes to walk the paths. The curio shop offers from the traditional clothing to postcards and accept cash or card.  An amazing experience that is worth it.

Bring a raincoat or you can rent one. Cover your camera. Its a trail and rain forest along the rim of the canyon. It cost $30 USD each. You walk through a gift shop and along an asphalt trail where its constantly raining spay from the falls.

Zambia is beautiful. For clarity purposes, the Victoria Falls is not in the Republic of South Africa and neither is it in Zimbabwe. It is located on the Zambian side of the Zimbabwe/Zambia boarder (translation? It is in Zambia). Let Google and the World as a whole correct this Error.

We visited when the falls were at their peak. There were rainbows everywhere and the spray completely drenched us as we walked along the path. Definitely wear something easy to dry off in the sun or bring a raincoat! We also took a helicopter ride over the falls on one of our first dates a few years ago. Totally surreal views from above!

We spent our honeymoon here in 2018. Two weeks in Victoria Falls was wonderful. We took a helicopter tour to see the falls from above and it was breathtaking. I hope to go back one day. We had a tour guide that told us about the history and locals as well.

Victoria Falls National Park in north-western Zimbabwe protects the south and east bank of the Zambezi River in the area of the world-famous Victoria Falls. It extends along the Zambezi river from the larger Zambezi National Park about 6 km above the falls to about 12 km below the falls.A notable feature of the park is the rainforest which grows in the spray of the falls, including ferns, palms, liana vines, and a number of trees such as mahogany not seen elsewhere in the region. The park is located within the Zambezian and Mopane woodlands ecoregion.Visitors have the chance to view the elephant, Cape buffalo, southern white rhinoceros, hippopotamus, eland and a variety of other antelope herds during drives and walking safaris. A bask of crocodiles may be seen in the river, and a nearby Crocodile Ranch offers a safer view of these dangerous animals.Accommodation is provided in campsites in the Zambezi National Park and in the numerous resorts and hotels in and around the town of Victoria Falls which forms part of the western boundary of the park.Visitors are required to take precautions against malaria.

Just spellbinding, the falls are mesmerising. Baboons are funny to watch (just dont carry food). I couldnt get enough of this place. If you are going to go out on the falls, dont do it without a local, its amazing, but not worth your life which is what it could cost.

Definitely, its one of the best place to visit in Africa and in the world. Ive been at other big falls, but this has been the best Ive ever seen. The amount of water and waterfalls is amazing.Ive visited during the season in which there are more water and some parts were invisible, such as the livingstone island. Even though, it was amazing to see the power of the nature.Its a must if you are near Zimbabwe or the southern part of Zambia!

Wonderful views and very well kept. Lots of staff who clean the pathways and keep them well maintained. They even have personal on site who give wheelchair assistance if required. It is very safe and easy to walk around and enjoy the views. They also have a restaurant with decent drinks and food

Truly a must see, once in a life time experience. Hot tip - You are likely to get drenched by the updrafts and swirls of water laden mist. Make sure your passport is double bagged in something water tight and put your phone/camera in a zip lock bag so you can still get great pics.

This national park allows you to view the Victoria falls in all its glory. If you go during the right time of year, it looks as beautiful as seen in pictures.Preferably go in the afternoon or when theres still light outside to be able to fully enjoy and see the falls. There are trails which you have to walk along to see the entire stretch, but you need not necessarily complete the entire stretch as it might get tiring. There are ways to go back to the entrance which are clearly visible with the help of signs.The trails can be slippery because water from the falls get sprayed all the way to the trails, so wear the right shoes.For the same reason you can get wet, so dress accordingly. But they do provide raincoats outside for rent.Do not wear makeup because it will come off.Be careful with any cameras or phones. Keep them safe from the water.There are also options of going bungee jumping and boating.There are some good places to eat yummy food at the end of the tiring yet fulfilling walk.

A wonderful and beautiful natural wonder to visit. The sights, sounds, and feel (you will be soaking wet by the endis something truly special. You have to make it through a gauntlet of tourist stands which aggressively target tourists en route but once you pay (the relatively expensiveentrance fee you’re set for a wonderful experience. We went early in the morning and it paid off, the crowds were sparse. We went in low fall season in January and I can’t imagine what it would be like in high season! There are some animals in the park and we saw tons of warthogs! A definite must see when you’re in Zambia Or Zimbabwe. We walked from the Victoria falls hotel, which the concierge said would be too long, however it took us under 20 minutes and feel there’s no reason to get a taxi. The trials and signs were very clearly marked.
