Mosi-o-tunya Road, Livingstone, Zambia, Kaoma
This waterfall is famous for its enormous size & has a natural pool where visitors can swim.
It was fun and awesome to chill... taking a walk around the falls....👌🤗
Always a breath taking experience very time I see it. It indeed deserves its position as one of the Great wonders on this earth.
It’s definitely an amazing experience seeing one of the seven wonders of the world The Victoria Falls
Spectacular!Nice 4km walk from the gate and back to see the entire falls.
Great visit to Vic Falls! Easy walk to the end. Many great views of the falls. Start at top ( path to rightand work your way back.
Its a must-see when you visit Southern Africa. I visited the Victoria Falls from Zimbabwes site not Zambias, crossing the Muzungula border from Kasane, Botswana. It took us a little over half an hour from the border to the Falls. The road was good, so it didnt take long to cover a distance of about 70 km. The Falls is breathtaking. There are several points where you can view the Falls from different angles. At a view point you might get a bit wet as the water drips like rains. So wear something more comfortable for you! It took us 1.5 hours to enjoy the many different viewpoints along the track. Of course you can spend less time there if you will. But we decided to linger a bit long as we came all the way from Botswana. Other than the waterfall there was not much to do or see in the town. So we basically came only for the waterfall, which was worth it.
One of the most beautiful destinations on Earth. Captivating beauty and magic. Absolutely beautiful waterfall
Amazing. Helicopter flight over the falls, boat ride and swim out to devils pools.
Most-Oa Tunya Falls is a gorgeous national park with spectacular views of the Victoria falls and the Zambezi river, including the gorge and the historical Victoria Falls bridge that connects Zambia and Zimbabwe. There are short trails that lead to the sweeping views overlooking the falls. This has access to the Knife Edge bridge which is a steel bridge connecting the island. You can get wet here from the mist of the falls while crossing the bridge. Some walking trails are wide and paved but some areas especially closer to the edge of the overlook are steep with uneven rocky steps so be careful when walking especially when the trails get wet. There are handrails and guards/fences so it is still a safe place to visit. The views are really beautiful and different compared to the views seen on the Zimbabwe side. There are monkeys and baboons loitering around. It is a must see place !
Beautiful falls, even in August at the beginning of dry season. This might be an ideal time actually because you get to see the falls in potions of without the total deluge of spray from a full waterfall in the rainy season. Further the sun is more playful with rainbows now. Lastly you can also do the devils pool swim so win win. I agree the views from the Zimbabwe national park side are great year around. Theres also WiFi at the rainbow cafe inside. The $30 USD fee per person is steep, but tourism drives 90% of the economy. Credit card accepted. Enjoy the sights and sounds!
Beautiful place and is one of the 7 wonders victoria falls
Incredible sights, stunning place. If you’re lucky/careful enough to plan your visit around a full moon, you can also see the rare lunar rainbows. To the eye, it looks like a ghostly and milky bridge, connecting the base of the falls with some other magical realm. With long exposure camera, you can get the full colors of the rainbow. I leave a bad photo with Iphone😜
Stunning, and great views from Zambia side. No hassles, and good viewing points. Surprisingly not crowded.
Mosi-O-Tunya aka The Smoke that Thunders aka Victoria Falls.A wonder of the world, Beautiful, Magnificent, Glorious, Wonderful, Amazing‼️ 💕👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
The Victoria Falls - The smoke that thunders. The largest falling sheet of water in the world!Victoria Falls is a waterfall on the Zambezi River in southern Africa, which provides a habitat for several unique species of plants and animals. Its total height is 108m (355 ftand its shared by 2 countries, Zimbabwe and Zambia.I witnessed the falls from helicopter and ground level and I was constantly blown away by its expansive beauty. Its an absolute must visit if youre in Zimbabwe.
The amenities do not quite live up to that of a world renowned site. The falls are awesome.
We had a wonderful experience. You can never get enough of the mighty Victoria falls. Our 4 year old daughter even walked down to the boiling pot.
Great place, had a great time with my family and friends and we also visited a restaurant called Flavours we enjoyed our meal general (nice place to be
Absolutely beautiful. If you are in Africa, you must go here!!
The most beautiful falls i have ever seen and the view is beautiful. You enjoy nature speaking to you.
Dr Livingston I presume? The smoke that Thunders... Victoria falls truly is a place of majesty ,of the brilliance of our Mighty Creator. Following in the footsteps of great men like Dr James Livingston,it is an honour to stand alone the soil that he tred. In awe you stand , speechless in front of the breathtaking power of the falls , tons of water rushing down like a storm within one seconds time lapse , you cant help but yell Hallelujah in the Name of God Three in One. And right there,in front of such historic power ...God speaks to me and says :"Dont stop dreaming."If you remain still ...listen closely ,in the thundering waters ..you can hear His voice.
How can anyone rate this lower than 5? As one of the seven natural wonders of the world, the Victoria Falls is a sight to behold. I prefer visiting it from the Zambian side, as you get to experience the Knife Edge Bridge, which gives you an unparalleled view. There are so many things I could say about the falls, but its best people experience it for themselves. Its truly amazing.
Absolutely breathtaking! If possible, also visit Livingstone Island with devil and angel pools! The rainbows from the water mist are incredible.
In winter time (June-Sep), better going in afternoon to see rainbows and low mist. bring a waterproof jacket or umbrella, youll definitely get soaked!!
Its amazing! Especially now that the water levels in the Zambezi are very high. It really is a marvel.
Victoria Falls, or The Smoke That Thunders, is a waterfall in southern Africa on the Zambezi River at the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe. It has been described by CNN as one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the world. While it is neither the highest nor the widest waterfall in the world, Victoria Falls is classified as the largest, based on its combined width of 1,708 m (5,604 ftand height of 108 m (354 ft), resulting in the worlds largest sheet of falling water. Victoria Falls is roughly twice the height of North Americas Niagara Falls and well over twice the width of its Horseshoe Falls.
The place to be. It feels like the first time every time. Words can not describe the joy I feel, the view i see all the time. Whether dry or filled with water, the Vistoria Falls never disappoints. God is indeed the perfect creator.
It was phenomenal, breathtaking and definitely once in a lifetime experience.
One of the best experiences, ull fear greatness of nature with an adrenaline rush, amazzzing.
Best tourism site in Zambia. Breathtaking views. Truly a world wonder.
Victoria Falls, Zambia. Awesome place to visit. Especially this time when the waters are on their burst and trees and grass are green. Great experience, great atmosphere. Absolutely friendly people around. Its definitely a must visit, get soaked in the waters falling. You really wanna have this experience, believe me. Best time to visit is when theres a lot of water. Like this time.Visit and Enjoy!
The Mighty Victoria Falls is a wonder of the Earth. The place is Amazing with water flowing like smoke. I would like to revisit the falls soon.
Breathtaking! Come prepared with a poncho raincoat or get soaked. The water is warm and getting drenched is part of the fun. It is quite busy but there’s no rush and you can see and enjoy it all. Many friendly people and lots of opportunity to take photos.
Affordable entry. Guided footpaths with hand rails safe for children, and an excellent view of the beautiful falls. Clear path to the boiling pot. The water levels were high, and so the falls was full. A raincoat was needed if one didnt want to get soaked through, buy since it was a hot, sunny day, the water was welcome.
Stunning beauty of nature, the wilderness and the scenic view, will make your visit worth ever
I just love The Victoria falls, its so mesmerizing and such a beaut, cant wait to go back next vacation!
Truly breathtaking! This majestic waterfall is a must do not just if you in the area but in general. There’s a stark contrast in what you see and experience depending on how full the Zambezi river is which varies throughout the year. Truly amazing. Make sure you get a poncho !
One of the wonders of the world for a reason. Still not discovered by most people, raw beauty. The waterfall is so large and deep, create a cloud above it, to be seen from far. Take your raincoat along. Lots to do and see around the Falls.
Vic Falls is one of the most incredible sights the world has to offer. Has to be experienced in person - pictures/videos don’t do it justice
The falls are simply magnificent, the park and amenities are well maintained making it a very worthwhile and enjoyable experience.
Can’t leave livingstone without visiting the worlds largest water fall. Best place to visit with family and friends, would recommend to try out bungee jumping or zip lining 🤪
Visited in 2018. Just one word .... Amazing!!!Victoria Falls is a must-see for many travelers to southern Africa. Its the worlds largest curtain of falling water—a spectacular sight. Its also the name of the town near the waterfall.
It is the dry season and the water flow of Victoria Falls is very small, so when visiting from the ground, the scenery is not spectacular. I can only focus the lens on the area with water. However, the scenery is still charming. Yesterday I took a glider to watch the waterfall from the air, which made up for the regret. We played in the Angel Pool for a short time and took photos. From the photos, this place is a bit dangerous, but there are deep enough pits to stand under the water, so it is not dangerous. Although we did not go to the Devils Pool due to time constraints, it was still an interesting experience for us.
No other choice than to give a 5 stars. Victoria falls are AMAZING. The bliss of the landscape is undescribable. Each and everyone must see it with her/his eyes. We spent 5h there, moving around to have different perspective of the view. The entrance is 20$ and tge guides are free (you give tips at your convenience). But if you are lucky during the low season (October-Dec)you can have a discount. There are shops as well around so you can buy drinks , and even souvenirs from the handcrafted market.
Lovely views here and if youre coming to the country you absolutely have to visit here. Its surprisingly big, you go there realising that its an attraction for a reason but it takes a fair bit of time going from one end to the other end and while doing so you are met with wonderful views the entire time.My only complaint would be the fact they charge different amounts depending on you the person visiting. If youre a tourist you will be paying a tourist tax and pay a massive amount more than others just to be allowed in.
No wonder its one of the 7 world wonders. Its magnificent. You will not regret a visit to these majestic falls.
Iconic experience. Some sort of Code of Conduct should be implemented for vendors whose constant badgering can be very off-putting. I am all for supporting local business but it needs to be done on a win-win basis.
Simply Heaven on Earth. We visited in October month, taken Guided Tour. It is worth coming Zimbabwe alone due to this Falls only.Complete city is transformed into a Luxury city with Hotel, Restaurant etc for Tourists.Attaching all Maps and Guid8ng protocol. You can find other vendors outside the gate itself for Helicopter ride.
Truly impressive with different areas to visit. The hike down to the boiling point definitely gives you a good quick workout. The photo trail is great for viewing knifes bridge and the Victoria falls bridge. And yes except you came in a bathing suit and flip flops its best to get a raincoat and the plastic shoes that can be rented. My guide was knowledgeable. As of the time of my visit June the devils pool wasnt accessible so if this on your to do list best to enquire regarding opening times before your visit. All in all quite impressive Unfortunately the Zimbabwe side was closed so crossing at this time was not possible.
March, April and May is one of the best times to visit the Victoria Falls. The water is still plentiful and the falls is simply awesome. If you view the falls from the Knife Edge bridge you definitely need a raincoat and plastic shoes. For the showers from the falls will definitely soak you. Fortunately there are raincoats for hire if you dont have one.You can also buy curios which are available on site.
