Vía Orgánica Restaurante - Organic restaurant in Guanajuato, Mexico
Loved everything. All the foods we got were beautiful and tasty, service was great, and the atmosphere was just gorgeous!
Yummy varied organic dishes are served and can also buy organic products like yogurt, bread, beer, cheese, granola, eggs, veggies as well as many US products such as Dr. Bronners.UPDATE 9/20/22: Ive been told that the shop has closed a few years ago. Too bad :(
If you like farm fresh and you don’t mind a little drive out of San Miguel, you are going to love Via Organica! A beautiful setting with the smell of fresh flowers, this is actually an an “eco-agricultural park”, where you can see how they raise and grow the items on your plate. A small store is also on site w/ organic choices, but our favorite ride at this park is the restaurant! The service was attentive and friendly, and the food tasted how one would hope “farm-fresh” would indicate. Mojitos and margaritas available, as well as organic artisan beer, and frescas. Taste the difference, it’s Delicious.
Excelente lugar a menos de media hora de San Miguel para convivir con la naturaleza y comer comida mexicana orgánica deliciosa. Recomiendo subir al mirador
This restaurant is a must check out in San Miguel de Allende. Food was incredible, craft beer made it even better, gluten-free menu choices and the staff and service was 5/5!
This is my favorite place to eat in San Miguel de Allende. I love eating organic and locally sourced food and having grass-fed beef. They have great coffee and juices too. The breads are tasty and homemade. Also visit their farm if you have a chance as it is an incredible place.
This place was terrible. Firstly, we asked for juices (which is why we cameand they said they didn’t have any. So we ordered lemonade for our kids. They were so bitter that they didn’t drink them. Then we asked for a margarita pizza but they said they stopped making pizzas at 12pm (and it was 2pm). So we ordered the kids a burger which was dry and bland. The chicken tamales we ordered had no chicken in them and the pico de Gallo has been sitting in a fridge for 3 days. When I walked out I witnessed some ex pats ordering juices (go figure???). They are riding on the ‘organic’ wave and charging the prices for it. Fail.
Great food and service. Had the lamb curry special. MNice store/market in back.
Had lunch and dinner at Via Organica, prompt, fine service. Excellent both times. Little shop has wonderful variety of tasty and healthy foods and other items. Cool neighborhood! Go and enjoy yourselves
Flavors are unique, a lot options and organic products.
Wonderful food, wonderful folks, excellent service... Its so great to know that my money is going to support local families and projects for a cleaner, healthier environment and a happier life for many. Love this place. I will be back, si Dios quiere!
Nice place. Friendly staff but not so good for service. But I do not know what to think. I mean Okay it is organic but when same products are more expensive then in GDL, Canada or US... (Soap, peanut butter, etc)The dishes were good but again you have so little for the price... A slice of pizza 85? Pesto pasta 145? :( and the fruits pie was so small :( still hungry for almost 400pesos(2persons)But everything seems pricy in San Miguel...
My sister and I went by today around 11ish. Poked around the shop which has some lovely things and decided to have a bowl of soup. At this time it wasnt busy, maybe one other tableWe sat outside but no one came to take our order. We couldnt even see a waiter.my sister had to finally poke her head in the kitchen where the waiters were joking around and trying on T shirts. We finally ordered and then after 10 minutes I was told they didnt have the soup I ordered. Not sure why they didnt say so right away. After another 15 minutes we got our soup. When we were finished we couldnt find a waiter to pay our bill. So we went up to the cash where there was a long line. The soup was excellent but not cheap at 75 pesos for a small bowl. Would have given 4 stars if there had been any service...
This place is great! Lots of vegetarian options. The menu is great with good choices for smoothies as well. We especially loved the grocery store aspect of this place, as we were able to purchase items to bring home as gifts and for breakfast at our lodging.
Really enjoyed this place. Very fresh & tasty vegetarian options, and welcoming laid back vibe. Had the veggie soup & veggie burger, both were very flavourful & delicious.Their grocery store was super cute & stocked with lots of local organic fruits & veggies. Grabbed some gluten free amaranth cookies on our way out & they were so delicious too - Flavourful, but not overly sweetHighly recommend if you’re looking for healthy clean food in San Miguel
Excellent organic food. Good prices
Lovely place. The wait staff are so kind and helpful. The food is wonderful and they have the best margaritas in the city. The store is also a great place for items to cook with and desserts.
Rip off, honestly. Ordered a burrito that literally was the size of my hand, and I am a small woman. Looked and tasted like a Costco microwave burrito... perhaps not as good. Menu says every Mexican item comes with salad, rice, and beans. I was expecting a lot of food, which was great because I came in starving! Only got the salad, and like I said, a tiny meal for too much money. Left the restaurant disappointed, still hungry, and having been charged WAY too much. Any other restaurant in SMA will give you 3x the food for this price, and itll have 10x the flavor. Totally cramped inside, too, making it really awkward. If my boyfriend even moved his knee he his the person at the table next to us. Super over rated place... dont waste your time and money.
I got a Stomach Ache- and I travel all over MX. Plus I saw in the kitchen they were cleaning the vegetables with tap water from the sink. The lady at the cash register was very rude to me.I dont know how they get such a high rating its only cause its organic. I read the reviews and everyone agrees the food is not tasty. Its a cute place but Id rather go to Mercado Sano on Zacteria Street. They have lots of groceries and small restaurants on the second floor and farmers market on the weekend. They are friendly!
Everything is healthy, locally sourced and fresh. We had hummus with olives and home made pita bread with really good olives. Then as mains, we had 5h grass fed beef burger and a veg burrito. The burger came with fantastic potatoes. Only thing I dont reccomend is the house beer.
Great large selection of fresh vegeteables and packaged organic foods, nuts, postres, and liquors. Restaurant has decent border food, beans taste like they came from a can which is s funny thing in mexico. Waiters speak gringo. Neighborhood has great street mural art on the walls outside. I didnt check out the terrace bit Im sure its nice.
One of the best in Mexico! Organic grocery and restaurant run by an NGO to benefit and empower Mexicans.
Very dry tamales. Disappointed. Low in flavor and texture
We had breakfast here and it was excellent. Being connected to an organic farm, everything was so fresh. All the food others were eating looked just as good!
Awesome organic grocery store and restaurant!
This is a must visit place for anyone looking for a health food store and organic restaurant in San Miguel. For long stays, it might even be worth finding a place within walking distance. They have everything for healthy diet and home cooking. The restaurant is excellent with a wide variety of meat and vegetarian dishes well prepared. Open kitchen in the back. Upstairs, downstairs, inside and outside seating. Friendly service. It is not expensive but portions are small so be prepared to order multiple items if you are really hungry. If you have a sweet tooth and are looking for something made with honey and no sugar, they sell a variety of delicious health balls made with cocoa, chia seeds, nuts and other good stuff.
Wonderful shop! A little pricey compared to Marcado Sano. However, they got a wider range of natural home and bath products. Restaurant has some tasty and healthy options. Great place for vegetarians.
Great food and beer! Even organic mezcal. Delicious with a vegetarian and gluten free menu. Easy to be Vegan.
Hiper super delicious
Authentic organic food!
Excelente opción de comida saludable. Deliciosas ensaladas, aguas de sabores naturales, pulque, cerveza artesanal , las pizzas con masa casera. Los camareros son muy atentos. En definitiva un sitio donde repetir.
Great food and market, located inside of San Miguels arts district.
Tremendous, beautiful, with good hearted owners and staff.Total organic local food. A must.
Healthiest food in San Miguel for shopping and eating at their cozy cafe!
Such a cute little spot! Just had juices ❤️
this place have organic food, and the place is ok for breakfast, not many space between tables and the chairs are a little uncomfortable. service good
Perfect place to go with your vegetarian friends!
Great veggie burger and refreshing lemonade in nice surroundings. Friendly staff.
Healthy organic food
Food was quite good with good variety, fun comfortable environment. Service from Francisco was friendly, helpful. Definitely would recommend.
We went there for two different dinners. Both times I got Mexican dishes that were good but didnt taste very traditional. Both enchiladas and enmoladas were lacking in flavor. Their only hot sauce is a house salsa that is very mild. Husband got vegetarian tamales one night and it was pretty good. They have house beers and the stout and pale ale are both good. Though I had to send back my pale because it wasnt cold enough. They have a small grocery connected to it that is great if you want to eat salads and other healthy stuff without eating at the restaurant every day. The hummus we got was decent, though a bit wet.We probably wouldnt have gone there as often if we werent staying at a room close by. They are a great place to go if you arent interested in traditional Mexican food.
Good food and healthy. Its a very nice place and great to buy organic produce. They brew their own beer. Try the Belgian and the Pale Ale. Delicious!
This is a great place for organic veggies and natural cookies and such, but our dining experiences have not been great. We experienced slow, distracted service and food thats just okay.
I ate here twice, because I was staying nearby. Both times the food was ok, but nothing special. It wasnt very expensive, but not cheap either, and for the price, I expected more. I guess the price also has to do with it being here in SMdA, where so many expats are driving up the prices. Service was also so-so. The veg tamales were a bit bland, and the soup that came with it was just boiled beans with salt - no veggies or spices to liven things up. Two doors down there is a tiny little place (Querenciathat serves better meals for less price, but very limited menu.
This place is phenomenal.
A group of 6 of us from all over the US met in SMA for my 40th birthday. I knew I wanted to do a group horse riding trip and there was more than one choice and Im so glad I went with Via Organica. We had a fantastic time--Humberto was hilarious, the trip was mellow enough for non-experienced riders (we had 3 peopleand the meal stop along the tour was DELICIOUS! Home run! This is your horse back riding experience in SMA. Also, if youre hippie dippy with an interest in sustainable ag (three of us in the group met at a hardcore social justice college in AZHumbertos farm will be your JAM! Amazing to see the operation hes grown over four years.
Our favorite place in Mexico. We ate here everyday. Loved the people and the food. The food was so yummy and reasonable priced. Lots of organic options and a store too. Breakfast was our favorite.
Best enchiladas EVER!!!
great place, doy you have delivery service?
Wonderful fresh food. They have a different menu of the day eg. Asian, Italian, Mexican. You can buy organic vegetables, breads, soups to go and the Pico de Gallo is awesome.
