So many years later & this great casual restaurant still one of the best in food & service in the Island. Lasagna & sweet plantains still my favorite dish.

Excellent food including sandwiches, appetizers and Pizzas. Good beers and wine lists.. customer service wasnt good at all due to many people at the rest and nit enough staff to care for them.

Very rude employees, you ask questions about the food and they ignored you. I order a pitcher of sangria, it was wine with water no fruits no flavor. Chicken wings disgusting. The restaurant charge $5.00 parking to eat there is ridiculous.

This experience is much more than Pizza! A place with an excellent tradition for locals and tourists. Great place to share a good time with friends, relatives, and kids. It has something for everyone. Although the pizza and Italian sandwiches are great, dare to try the grilled to perfection halibut fillet on a uniquely exquisite “creole sauce” with “tostones”- you will not forget. It is one of the best “salsas criollas” (creole saucesI have ever had. I also dare you to try “today’s criollo soup” with a side of “creole” hot sauce made there by the chef. Don’t miss it. Check your time availability and check with the restaurant not to wait too much for a seat.

I recently moved to PR and hadn’t been able to find good NY style pizza anywhere on the island. Via Appia’s is hands down the best NY style pizza in Puerto Rico. I am a follower of Dave Portnoy and religiously visit any pizza he reviews highly. Via Appia’s is a solid 8.1 in my book and a 10 when compared to other Puerto Rican pizzas. Ask them to make it well done for you and you’ll thank me later.

We had an absolute GREAT experience!! The owner, along with a friend of his were very, very welcoming!! We were looking for good music and drinks so we decided to stop in. Although this establishment did not have music, the owners friend did not hesitate to grab his guitar from the back and began singing for us 🥰 as we enjoyed our drinks and complimentary calamari. The customer service was superb 👌🏽 Thank you for a wonderful experience!!

Ordered with much illusion the pasta pesto of the day, and it arrived soggy, way, way, past al dente, veggies overcooked, an embarrassment for an Italian restaurant. Heard the pizza is very good, maybe for next time

Small Italian restaurant with a family-owned touch. Great service from the staff, really amicable and prone to giving suggestions. Food was really nice, we loved the NY Pizza and eggplant parmigiana. Totally worth it!

The food was pretty good, no complaints though service is incredibly slow. I was eating by myself and had ordered ziti and some wine. I asked to have the Wine on a separate ticket as I was on a business trip and cant expense the wine and wanted to pay separate. They refused. So I paid cash and expected to get change, out of which I would have tipped. The waiter disappeared and after 20 minutes I had to leave. So a glass of wine and a simple baked ziti cost $40 which was close to double the price. While it was good ziti, it was not $40 ziti.

The shrimp scampi was as good or better than any Ive had back in Louisiana. The pasta has to be fresh made in house. This is not a touristy place, it was full of families and people who the staff treated like they were family. They also have Dr. Pepper!

The veal parmesan was amazing. The meatballs with garlic bread was delicious and the sausage with peppers was amazing as well. The gentlemen that served us was great, just a little older and it was busy so it took a little time to order. Nothing annoying. Our drinks workout the extra shot were ok, but the extra shot looked more than enough to get nice.

Nice staff, but the food we ordered was pretty rough. I cant say if it represents all their food, but our dinner was sub-meh. My son ordered the baked ziti w meatballs. There was perplexingly no sauce on the top 50% of the pasta and the meatballs were rather hard and dense. He is a pasta fiend and ate about 10% of it because it was so ungood. My wife ordered the gnocchi Alfredo. It was a dead ringer for two-day old glue balls smothered in fresh glue. I dont mean to sound harsh but Gordon Ramsay would have driven a bulldozer through this place so maybe this is a favor. They also ordered the fried calamari as an appetizer and my wife said it definitely frozen. No better than Trader Joes. It would have been fine if it was advertised as "Trader Joes fried calamari", but that probably would have been weird. I ordered sausage and peppers. It was honestly worse than something I would make on a rushed Monday night at home. I would expect more from a $20 plate of sausage and peppers. It also seemed more like pasta with sausage but without the pasta. There were five or six meager pepper slices in it. Definitely not an entree. My salad was swimming in vinegar yet most of it was somehow undressed. Maybe the pizza is better. Im glad though that despite this the restaurant seems to do good business. Again, friendly staff.

This place is horrible!!! Not only the food but the service. Once we were seated, our waiter offered us a bottle of water, but after that, never came back to ask about drinks. Our food took over an hour, but mine came out first. I waited to eat until the rest of my family got their food. However, theirs took another 10 minutes, which by then, mine wash cold. I wouldn’t have minded that if it tasted good. But it was the worst eggplant parmigiana I’ve ever had. My kids received their meal but had to wait several more minutes for their spaghetti that they wanted to eat with their chicken. Their food was bland also. After giving us our water, the waiter came back once more to give us our check and tell us that the tip wasn’t included. He was awful and the food was awful.

Went to this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend. But it was probably one of the worst italian restaurants ive been to. The service was horrible waiters ignored me and my 3 guests . Waited 45 minutes for a tastelees baked cutt and when i asked about the appetizer I had ordered an hour earlier when my meal arrived they told me they didnt bave it wouldyou think they would have said something before my guest had pizza and they left half of it behind cause it tasted stale. This ais a tourist trap they must have their buddies leaving reviews.

Sub-par Chicken Parmesan and mediocre pizza. They need to work on their sauce. Had to wait an hour and fifteen minutes for just those two orders. If you have two hours to kill, bring a sweater if you eat inside. The valet must have been smoking because when we got the car back it stank like cigarettes.

Make sure you have your COVID card to get in to sit and eat. Its worth your visit. They have valet parking too. You will leave satisfied. Food is so delicious 😋 & the atmosphere very family and friend friendly. Mix of Italian Cuban culture. A must visit. You can even buy a selected brands of wines. Seating is great. They have an open porch as you come into the restaurant and 2 inside area seating. Pretty big comfortable. Have a great time.👍🏾🥰

Great service, variety of Italian food, especially pizza😉, lots of beverage choices and the owner is very attentive to his guests.Although its in Condado, its signage is not as visible as it should be. Apparently, locals have frequented this restaurant for years. Thumbs up for this really nice restaurant.

Do not visit if you are a person of color (POC)!!! You would think that being on vacation POC would get a break. We were treated very different from other customers, were stared at, and staff kept standing behind us at our table. Considering the poor quality and price of the food, we were very confused by our treatment here. The service was also very slow. Our waiter even struggled to cut our pizza because it was so hard. Laughable! Youre better off going anywhere else!

Many years have gone by since I last visited. It is under new administraron and the food was good. The "Italian" waiter was great and catered to our whims and fancies. The regular menu is extensive and so are the speciaks. It was good. They have an ample parking behind, no charge, but tips are welcome. Overall it was a great lazy afternoon watching the passerbys.

Bad service, bad service. Ordered bottle white wine it was at room temperature with no ice. Ordered egg plant Parmigiana. It arrived cold, the salad much later. Definitely the experience was disastrous. We have been going to this restaurant for many years and definitively it may be the last.

Food OK, Prices OK but manager doesnt care if Bar area get extremely loud. Drunks yelling and singing at the bar when others eating meals. Manager could careless if your dining experience was so loud you had to shout across your table. Asked if we could move tables away from bar Manger said no. Tourists Warning..... if you can get an outside seating great dont bother with going inside.

Went there during a weekday lunch and place was not too busy. Ordered a large NY pizza from there notable menue items. Pizza was too large for two people, should have got a medium. Did not expect to be charged for water, but not a big deal. As usual, this place runs on island time so expect to take your time. Pizza was okay, not terrible, not excellent either. Too many tomatoes for my liking. Server was very nice.

The food here was okay as you can see on the menu the dinners are suppose to come with salads and garlic bread. My husband had the veal and I had the shrimp scampi. We got one salad and no bread between us. Our stuffed mushroom appetizer was cold. Bless their hearts they seem to be trying to accommodate as many people as possible while slacking on quality. Have you ever tried to eat pasta with plastic cutlery? Well we got to and it worked as well as you can imagine. I would stick with the pizza it looked nice and seemed to at least be served warm. Make sure to ask your waiter for anything you need when they present themselves otherwise you’ll be waiting and your food will be even colder.

The mussels were the only good thing that we had. The ravioli tasted like they came out of the can. Not fresh whatsoever. The lasagne was missing the meat between the layers. Very disappointed especially when the place had a rating of 4 and above.

Good food and service. But not a place to eat during the pandemic. I noticed they were not disinfecting tables when customers left. They have no protection between eating area and people on the sidewalk. Too many people walking by without face masks 😷. Should the breeze been strong who knows how much virus is being spread. Menus are plastic and not being sanitized. And when going to pay at the cashier, extreme closeness of people. I felt unsafe. Not returning until pandemic over.

I visit ever few weeks for business. I have been here a few times. It’s easy to pass by thinking it’s a pizza and sandwich shop. They have Italian dishes and decent wine. They are appreciative and attentive to earn your business. The chicken Parm and spaghetti is awesome. I will be back to try more.

We ate here as a family and everyone found something that they liked. The Antipasto was good, I am not a fan of iceberg lettuce but the meat and dressing was really good. My wife loved the eggplant parmesan and the kids ate their pepperoni pizza with enough leftover for tomorrow! The staff was polite and helpful. I would suggest this place!
