John F Kennedy Dr, Bay City, MI 48706, United States, Bay City
Large riverside park with sports fields & walkways, plus a marina, an arboretum & a concert stage.
The city remo ed a park in that area and it was really sad to the kids. They really like having a park be the water. Thank you to the city of bay City for an awesome playscape for the kiddos!
Absolutely love it there! Such a clean beautiful area so peaceful
Grands love this place. Neighbors present keeping up with grafitti. Nice
Great place to visit. Did a Urban Salvage Antique Show. Promoter put on a great show lots of interesting things to purchase vendors had beautiful booths treated customers very well.
The worst concert venue ever... we waited in line for 2 hours to get in... they ran out of water and it was 90 degrees. Awful experience I hope to never have happen again...
I went to a concert here and it was a really nice park. The line was long but that isnt the parks fault. Overall I really enjoyed the open space with the crowd
I went here for a concert and it was very "meh". If you didnt have cash you had to wait on line for the ATM, then get in line for drink tickets, and then finally get in line for drinks. We made the best of it and had a great time with friends. I would not attend this venue again unless it was a band I REALLY liked.
Amazing place to pray, and remember our brothers and sisters. Also a great place for a concert! Open right off the main highway. Beautiful grass open field.
Great park with a new playground, large gazebo with picnic tables. It does have porta potties nearby but a little walk from the park and were extremely gross last time we tried to use them. There is a building with a bathroom and a kitchen area that you can rent. Overall a nice park on the river.
My experience was terrible with this venue for a concert. The artist/music was amazing, but the organization to get people into the venue was horrible. Took almost 3 hours to get all the tickets buyers in, so therfore missed half the show and they had no refunds. Definitely would see the bands again but not at this venue. Money wasted.
Do not attend a concert there. It is very poorly managed and operated. Look up the sold out Papa Roach show from 8-6-2022. There will be enough comments on the Bay City Concerts Facebook page to explain everything. Maybe after that debacle they will have new management going forward. I would sure hope so.
Interesting place. But stupid how they did the concert.. only 1 way in and ran out of water and drinks In less than a hour.
First time visiting for a concert. Great venue. Needs a better system for entering. But other than that, it is GREAT!!
We had an awful experience at a concert yesterday. We drove a coupleof hours to see the Rockzilla show. For some unknown reason the line was extremely slow entering the venue. It took over 2 hours to get in and we completely missed the first band.We lined up early, but with doors opening at 5pm we still missed Bad Wolves. We purchased VIP for the chair promised. (VIP was to include a chair as part of the extra 30 bucks per ticket). Security said they were told to remove the chairs and they did not have an ADA compliant handicapped section. I think that is unlawful. There were not enough vendors to keep people hydrated and not being able to purchase water and beer in the same transaction line was insane. No food in VIP. Who ever organized the event totally screwed their attendees. Also, what made no sense was you could bring a chair in general admission but not in VIP. Most venues have general admission in the front of the stage or the pit. VIP is usually not the pit. Its a seperate viewing area with seats not right in the crowd. Should have made the VIP on the sides and the front of the stage general admissionThis was probably the worst experience and we will probably never return. I am deeply upset on the lack of the handicapped seating, This is a Veterans Memorial park and veterans including my husband should deserve a chair if they pay for one or if they just need one.
So, my friends and I got tickets to rockzilla (which was August 6thand the venue was here! It was awful. The bands themselves did PHENOMENAL however the venue it self was just horrendous. First off, we sat in line outside in 100°+ heat, for TWO HOURS!!! We ended up missing all of bad wolves, and the beginning to Hollywood Undead, which was the one band I wanted to see the most. When we finally got in, the lines for food and water were LONG. We stood in one that didnt move the entire time we stood there and then found out THEY WERENT ACCEPTING CARD FOR WATERS! We didnt bring cash because we assumed we could have gotten water with our cards. So no water, the awful Michigan heat, and lines that never ended. This venue was the most unorganized unprofessional venue my friends and I have EVER seen.
Just watched Papa Roach and Falling In Reverse concert here and if I could leave 0 stars for this venue I would. Not sure if they were too cheap to buy a liquor license, couldnt get one or didnt plan enough time to get one, but to have that many people wait in line for tickets for beer and then wait in another line to actually get the beer was ridiculous. Got into the venue after waiting forever in a huge, disorganized line and didnt even have my ticket scanned and walked right in. Food vendors belong in back where theyre not taking up space for people who are there for the music. This is the worst concert venue Ive ever been to. It was 90 degrees, with a 99 degree real feel and they ran out of water. Never had my ID checked or got an arm band, and people were watching from the road above. The music was excellent, but the experience was one of the worst Ive ever had. Needless to say, not on a hurry to go back here for any other concerts.
Doors opened at 6 for RockzilliaGot in line at 5:15Missed the first band completely and the first 3 or 4 songs for Hollywood undead. Once inside insane lines for everything . They ran out of water 😥
Bought 180 l$ worth of concert tickets and didn’t get to see who we came for until the final two songs. Showed up at 5 and didn’t get into the venue until just before 8. They had two lines for a sold out rock concert, vip and general admission with one ticker scanner per line. The concert we got to see was great, but the venue experience was awful.
Nice setup for a concert. The line to get in couldve been a little more organized but with thousands of people, I understand.
Most negligent concert I have ever been to. 10,000 entering in 1 gate is beyond stupid. Over sold and underprepared.
Don’t ever see a concert here!!!!!!!! They do not warn you that it’ll take two plus hours to get into the concert and not even in the venue yet! Missed everything we came to see and this is the worst concert experience of my life!!!!
Went to the Pap roach concert, got here at 4pm, gate didnt open until 5pm and we are still in line to get in and its been 2 hrs. We have aleast another mile to get in. Definitely needs to open gates sooner and have more people checking in tickets.
Bought tickets to a concert and have waited in line for over 2 hours since the gates opened. 2 of the 4 bands have finished their set. This is ridiculous.
I was here for the Labadie Rib Fest and I have to say it was pretty great time, didnt get to try everything like I wanted because the eyes were willing but the body was weak.I had a brisket/Mac & cheese combo with a couple fall off the bone ribs and after about an hour some jambalaya that really put me down for the count, it was all so good Im disappointed in myself for not being able to keep going.I certainly hope it doesnt take another 10 years for this event to come again because I had a really good time and would like to make a return in the near future.
Rib fest.. great food great music
Is had fun at the pig gig great BBQ. The Grummer was so loud You could not hear the singers on Thursday night. Is too loud to enjoy the music. Good to see it back
We just went here for the first time on the fourth of July and the play land kept my kid busy for hours it has so many things to do kids really enjoy this park there are swings a zip line and so many slides a really great park
Great piece of land, very nice childrens playground.however the most compelling feature is (to me,a veteran)the Vietnam War memorial. This space honors Americas heros.
4th of July dont! The new fireworks director is a real piece of work, as soon as you walk in the park you have lost all freedom.
Ive been going to this park in Bay City to watch fireworks for years. Its a very clean and lovely park! Bay City always puts on the best firework shows, every year! I love the riverwalk at this park too. Its always so cool to see all the boats in the river, watching the fireworks from the water. A big thanks to the city, the sponsors, the workers, and the volunteers, that help put on this show!
Attended the Bay City Fireworks! Nice time, Nice vibe by the water@
Great place .well taken care of. Definitely will be back. Great location for fireworks. Carnival for 3 days before the 4th of July is great. We discovered that just 1000 feet beyond the carnival were the ball fields which are the best place to view the fireworks from. The added bonus was all the local food vendors with delicious food and lower prices than the carnival. We totally enjoyed the hand cooked Kettle corn. Best Kettle corn weve ever eaten.
Baycity has by far the best 4th of July fireworks and carnival
Parking (well, leavingwas a PITA after the fireworks, so I recommend parking on the city streets where available. Very good location for the festival.
Fun place for the kids or to walk on date night and to fish. So much you can do outside with family and friends
Great park and cool play structures that our kids really enjoyed! Perfect park stop after enjoying dinner downtown.
Great place to walk; We stop here whenever we are going thru Michigan
Very nice park. Well kept and clean. Nice walking paths and plenty of green space to enjoy.
A decent size park with in a great area with a good view. Lots to experience with age limited to 2 to 5 but with supervision little one can still have fun.
Oh my goodness where was this park when my now teenagers were little. This park is just adorable. Perfect loved it and will definitely be recommending it to friends and be back.
Always a great time when the weather finally breaks for that first trip to the park.Still a great place the kids at ten and eight. And an opportunity for one to get a little exercise in themselves by helping the little ones around.
This was by far one of the best kid friendly parks we have ever been to. You will not regret bringing your family to enjoy the memorials, park and boardwalk!
The porta Johns have not been cleaned properly. They have a terrible smell. I greatly appreciate them, I just have to hold my bladder, because I cannot believe how many pigs are out there. The sad thing is, that pigs are actually cleaner, than this. If we all kept it clean, it would greatly be appreciated.
An amazing park! Very clean! I went there for the 4th of July 2021 Fireworks. An amazing time!
This is one of the better place to go in Michigan to watch the fireworks and have a good time with the kids we attended 2 days in a row and will some day experience the adventure agin thank you vary much Bay city for the amazing fireworks
Didnt get a chance to explore as much as Id like but we took the kids (ages 1-14to the playground (Play City!and they ALL had a blast! The equipment was modern and fun for all!
This park is a great place for family fun. There is beautiful play area. Its great grass area. there is something for all age groups even mom or dad can join in the fun.
The Riverwalk is a very nice path to walk and theres a new modern playground. My grandkids love it!
The ships were fun to walk on. The crews were knowledgeable. The music was so much fun. My toes were tapping and hands a clapping.
There for the river roar!! Too bad more spectators didnt show up, because aside from the weather it was a great show! Park is beautiful and well maintained. Only complaint is they need more trash cans around!
