Landscaped public park with a large military memorial, historical steam locomotive & paved pathways.
A nice waterfront park if you dont mind the bums and bird poo.
Nice quite place to have lunch before heading back to work. Very clean park
Honoring our veterans from all wars. A real history lesson.
Quiet and peaceful place to take your family to lunch picnic
Beautiful park to relax and sit by the lake
Nice park, quiet in the early morning. Saw some cigarette butts on the ground which is sad because there was a trash can five feet away for when the cig was put out. Saw a pelican take flight which was beautiful. In the south where Im from pelicans are brown. The white ones are a novelty to me. My dog enjoyed a little walk around and liked to keep an eye on the geese.
Perfect place to watch sunset near downtown
Very peaceful, all gave some some gave allThank you too all past and present
Nice grassy area on the water as well as a historical train and a covered pavilion for lunch.
Good place to bring your kids to have fun. There is some cool stuff like a train and a memorial too.
Veterans Park is home to an excellent veterans memorial containing markers and brick pavers of local military personnel whove served our country over the years. Theres also a neat locomotive engine next to the memorial that makes for a nice attraction. Unfortunately, this park has also been home to a number of homeless and vagrants over the years who loiter on the premises and have been known to drink and do drugs in broad daylight. They tend to congregate around the public restrooms so if you visit the park, be very cautious of using the facilities since you dont know what you may come across inside or outside the building. Panhandling is a frequent sight as well here, so be cautious.
Bricks for the vets its a good place to read a little history. And thank the soldiers that faught for us
Quiet, clean and not crowded. A great place for a quiet picnic downtown Klamath Falls.
Veterans park has over the years become a better place to visit. The memorial, the amenities. I hope to see more development of the park, even though it is difficult times, it is one of the first things observed visiting our community.
Most beautiful park in the area. So much wildlife 5☆
This was a nice park. There is a boat ramp and life jackets borrow station. The bathrooms are closed due to some vandalism and both female and male bathrooms were distorted. There is a nice water spicket spray in the lake which is a cool sight. People were feeding the birds and I had a great relaxing time.
Nice place but alot of homeless
I love the trails. And the views are absolutely gorgeous lest my kid had A-blast taking a picture with the train
Nice place for a walk or a picnic. Lots of benches, tables and shade. Check out the artistically decorated piano near the lake (there are several more painted pianos around town). People were friendly.
The park is beautiful i use to play on the train when I was a kid my dad has a tile at the memorial he will be 101 years old August 14th he is a pearl harbor survivor he spent 32 years in the navy there will always be a special place in my heart ❤ for that park.
Awesome place for kids.nice small trail around the lake. A must visit place for families.
I like to come to this park and take advantage of the access to the walking trail along the lake (The Wing Watchers Trail). From what I have seen, Veterans Park always has a plethora of visitors. Whether your taking a stroll, waking dogs, or just relaxing and enjoying the view out over the lake, there is bound to be something to do here. One of my favorite things is around Christmas time the old retired train (a historical exhibit at the parkis decorated with Christmas lights and lit up on display which is really pretty. In the summer I have seen quite a few people out on the water with their toys or canoes and kayaks. Its a fun park with alot of diversity....(did I mention the lovely views along the lake? Especially around sunset! )😉
Enjoyed reading the plaques about the different wars. Sad so many lives were lost but very educational. Thank you
Nice and close to downtown. But So much more can be done to beautify this scenic park. Add some fountains, wildflowers, a water park for the kids, sculptures, art... so many opportunity to add to the community . .
I love Veterans Park I think its great for families and you can feed the birds and even if youre crazy you can go for a swim theres restrooms that you can go to and plenty of space to stretch out its my favorite place in Klamath Falls and then theres the bird Trail thats ready to cross the way that you can go take a look at all these birds so enjoy
**PROUD MOM MOMENT* GRADUATION WEEK. (WE DID HIS PICS AT VETS PARKAnyway..I always loved this park its simply beautiful.. the fountain and all the birds and green grass and even a veterans memorial. Can get a bit sketchy now a days as soon as the sun goes down so have a buddy or spouse with you if you gonna be after dark but elsewise. Enjoy. And congratulations my sweet son and class of 2021..
Not too bad. Shady, some grass, but there were quite a few vagabonds hanging around.
I go here to play harry potter! Good for pokemon go too if you play that. The park is always clean, great for feeding the ducks (theres lots of birds hereand they decorate the train for various events. Theres rowing classes in the summer i believe or if you want to join the team. Dog friendly park next to the water, potty bags provided. Remember to pick up after your dogs ^-^
Nice place to look at the water fowl and have lunch. The trees where we were sitting were dropping lots of spiders on us. It must have been the time of year and they really dont hurt anything just a warning! Our local veterans memorial is also located at this park and its quite a nice tribute to our local veterans.
Nice place to relax. Plenty of lawn to lay out on.
Peaceful, beautiful. Lots of lovely hiking and water activities
Every time I come here, I literally feel God’s peace. This is one of my favorite chill spot.
Its a beautiful park near downtown
We love collecting data to discover the brilliancy of nature, natural wonders that still slowly find its way around man-made disturbances. Love Veterans Park!
We love to kayak, ride bikes and just run with our kids and dogs. Clean park, close to town, and beautiful birds all around.
Outstanding well maintained park
Just visiting going around seeing the sights. Pretty.
The most beautiful place for the Veterans to be remembered and blessed. I know I am blessed everytime I come pay my respect to my grandpa, dad, and cousin. There is a paved path along the lake you can walk down with your family.
Definitely a great place to visit. Many species of birds by the old Boat Ramp. Take your camera. Bald Eagles usually are perched up in the tree’s along the lake. Great walking trail along the lake. Nice place to eat lunch. Don’t forget to take a look at the old Steam Engine. A treasure from the Railroads past. Beautiful park with a restroom. Closed at dark.
Lovely place to stop and feed the ducks. New trail around the lake is paved and perfect for a stroll. Unfortunately, the area is a hotspot for homeless and wanderers to camp out. Also, there is no actual "park" equipment for children to play.
This is a beautiful park. Plenty of space to walk your dog. Feed the birds. The lake is pretty. It smells like nature. Lol I heard children used to be able to ride the train! The memorial is amazing. I love this park.
Omg I love this place. They dont want us to feed the birds bread so I brought meal worms. Only the ducks would eat them in the water.
It was a great day. Lots of people were there and as always the food was great!
Beautiful park lots of ducks to see. Will definitely return. The kids has a blast feeding the ducks Cheerios
Tonights Park right next to Ehwauna lake in Klamath Falls Oregon
Beautiful park with plenty of places to walk or drive, usually many ducks and birds to see and interact with. Wonderful view of the lake and much of the city. Excellent places and trails for walking, sightseeing and birding with many different species to encounter. A lot of grass park areas with tables and chairs to sit. A large cement amphitheatre and historical train.
This was a nice tribute to our soldiers that fought and fallen in the war. From World War 1 & 2, the vietnam, Korean, the golf Iraq etc... The park was a quiet beautiful place for a picnic.
This is an awesome place to come with the family. Also to pay tribute to our fallen soldiers...
This is a great park to eat lunch, take a stroll or take pictures and look at the ducks, pelicans and other birds. You might even see a Bald Eagle at the south end if the park in the trees across the lake. There is no play ground equipment, but during the summer months there are organized events with live music and food carts.
Great place to hangout and play Pokemon Go! Events happening especially during the summer are great here too!
