A nice venue for stage performances with adjoining banquet and meeting facilities. The sky bridge led to a small elevator which took you the ground floor.

I was told I cant take video on my phone, when I looked around there were at least 30 people taking videos on their phone at any given time, including the front row. I dont know why they decided to harass me about it. Makes me not want to go back

Saw Night Ranger in concert here. Awesome place. Great sound dynamics, clean and great parking.

Beautiful place set in downtown Lima and accomodates any possible event. Security on hand at the concert last night were helpful in getting a wheelchair for someone who had fallen while leaving the lobby.

They ran out of turkey. Only had mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, rolls with butter, pumpkin pie, and brownies, pop and coffee. Was disappointed.

The Veterans Memorial Civic & Convention Center is a great place to experience quality performances by diverse entertainment options. A beautiful gem for Lima and all of West Central Ohio! The facility is clean, ushers are friendly, and is truly a 5 star place to take people of all ages!

Twenty years ago I bought tickets for my family, 5 people to see what being passed off as Cirque Du Soleil. It cost me almost five hundred dollars. That was great deal for me. What is turned out to be was some guy who had worked with Cirque and it was basically a troop of Asian Children acrobats. It was a huge let down. Not at all spectacular.Afterward I complained and was told it was not the fault of the Convention Center.I have never gone to the convention centers show again. They are advertising a Cirque show again. Take care. it may not be at all what you think it is and the Convention Center doesnt care as long as they get your money.

So the reason we were there was because of manheim steamroller.....but the auditorium was waaaaay to hot!!! Crazy hot! If it can hold that many people it needs to be able to keep the temperature at a decent level!! The musicians were wiping sweat with towels!!! Just pretty sad!

The show was fabulous!! Civic Center not so fabulous!! We had six wheelchairs, two people with walkers and five of us walking. When tickets were purchased 3 weeks before program....questions about wheelchairs and walkers were asked. We were assured no problems. These questions were addressed because we were taking Residents of our Nursing Home to see the show. Upon arriving we were placed against the first row of seats, with guests in them. Then informed fire code was isles must be clear. You cant place a wheelchair in an isle and have it clear. Ushers were upset because our residents could not be moved into chairs. Finally, after show started, some wheelchairs were at bottom of auditorium, some at top of auditorium. Our three walking Residents were seperated as no seats together were available. Two seats were found for four of us taking them to show. At one point we were told "The show was for children, we shouldnt have brought them". I guess my question is " Who paid their taxes to build the Civic Center?" Oh my.....our Residents.

Great venue to see a show with a hotel connected to the theater.

Ive had great experiences there both as a patron and an employee. I believe this place brings respect for to the entire community since people come here from all over country

I saw my first musical here! It brings in such amazing shows, performances, and special events for easy access to culture and the arts in Lima. Ive never had to pay for parking and it is surrounded by delicious downtown restaurants.

Great Place to see Cheap Trick, (or any other act), free parking on the street, economical ticket prices! Many restaurants nearby, including the original Kewpees!

Nice size convention center with clean bathrooms and comfortable seating in the auditorium, which had a balcony.

The Lima veterans Memorial Civic Center its a great place to see shows. We been to movies , plays , musicals , and concerts. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Recently, we went to see the amazing talent of Celtic Woman and were blown away by their incredible performance!

Nice place to hold events attached to the hotel so super convenient all the staff was friendly and accommodating would definitely recommend this place

Seen the Nutcracker. It was a great performance. Lovely guiding, staff was great and loved my seats. Will definitely attend morw events here.

Went to see new years eve show. ABBA music played by an orchestra and 4 singers. Pretty good show.

Great seating. They have good shows & concerts here. Havent been disappointed.

My daughter rented two large areas for her wedding and reception. The price was steep to say the least. Was to include table table cloth, napkins, silverware, chair and table set up. My first problem was several tables were in significant need of replacing. Duck tape repair jobs really tacky. Then the silverware was dirty. We are talking food dried and stuck to them. We took them to the kitchen ran them through the dish machine and they came out dirtier. We had to clean and sanitize it and all the dishes and all the silverware again. They wanted more money to use a microphone and a huge fee to use a beat up piano that was already sitting in the room. NOT the class act that we expected at all!!

A very good place to host a variety of events and hosts lots of large and small events that the public can attend. They have staff to hire on for events to help the organizers with their event.

This place has great venues for a variety of events. Examples include concerts, ballet, and plays. Tickets are moderately priced. Has excellent security staff. Venues are listed online, can get tickets online or at the door.

Hotel California concert fantastic performance.

Event was great, facility is nice. Mgmt and some of the staff at the building are very unsupportive of local businesses. They make it very difficult for the business running the event I attended to operate. So much so that the business will likely move to a far inferior facility to avoid the old boys mentality that evidently is in charge of the VMCC. Lima should be ashamed for allowing the behavior exhibited by the leadership at this building.

Went to war wrestling and they claimed the Civic center is the ones selling drinks and food and not war wrestling....workers were very rude and unprofessional....why would you let such an unprofessional group use your center....they definitely have the Civic center a bad name....

Went to war wrestling event here...staff was disrespectful and unprofessional. Food is disgusting and cold, everything was way over priced. They have a vending machine but its apparently just for looks. Im surprised they dont charge you to use the bathroom.

Beautiful preforming arts center! It is a great place to go enjoy concerts or plays with the family.

We have been there for two separate shows in the last month. The shows were very nice.They need a better place for food and beverages ... as of now, they are in a rather small lobby which makes it very hard to get around. The area is too congested to have an easy flow through the line. Prices are pretty reasonable on the snacks.

Go once a year to the Bells Brass and Bows Lima symphony orchestra... best time ever !

We had a wedding reception here and when we got to the party they could not get the kegs to pour correctly. The manager that was on duty that night was very arrogant and tough to work with. We finally got the issue resolved and went on with the night. We accidentally left our bag of cards from our guests and the next day they were no were to be found. They have no cameras in the facility (which is kinda weird in downtown LimaI called the manager (Matt I thinkto speak about the matter and he didnt want to hear any of it. We know we had the cards when only our parents were left in the room and when we went to leave we left them behind. He assured me theres no way his staff could have done anything with them and it must of been the people that were there that took them. Basically saying our own parents stole our cards. His attitude on the phone was so poor I had to just hang up. He should find a new job because public relations does not suit him well. In short it was a terrible night that we will never forget and I recommend finding somewhere else to have your event.
