Danais 20, Paphos 8142, Cyprus, Paphos
This modern hotel is 1 km from Pachyammos Beach, 3 km from Kato Paphos Archaeological Park and 5 km from Tombs of the Kings, a necropolis dating from the 4th century.Bright rooms feature balconies and flat-screen TVs. Minifridges are available on request. Room service is offered. There's a casual restaurant with terrace seating, as well as a relaxed lobby lounge. Snacks are served at a bar alongside an outdoor pool. Other amenities include a kids' pool, a TV room and a billiard table.
Nice pool and garden.Food and rooms are medium .
I would like to share my opinion about Veronica Hotel. We are now during our vacation in Paphos.First of all - people who are workimg here. There is amazing atmosphere - waiter, waitress, bartender, receptionist - everyone has very positive attitude, help with everything, they are smilling all the time and this hospitality makes i feel like at home. We have a few conversations with staff about Cypriot culture, trafitions, language. Great food, drinks - especially local wines. Nice location, great 3 star standards.
Worst thing - the beds. It not fun to get back pain in a vaccation. Change only this and you will make your guests much better exp.Breakfast - tried only 1 day, but cheap and unhealthy food.Pool - fine +Desk: we arrived at 1am night, didnt offered us water, food or anything. Felt like "give your money and get along by yourself:
Definitely one of the best hotels in Paphos! Very clean, peacefully and practical place to stay and enjoy your holidays. Also, its excellent value for money.. None of other hotels around will give you these comforts at this price. The staff is very friendly! Last but not least, you can walk on foot around the hotel because its very close to the old castle-harbour!
The hotel is located outside the busy areaThe rooms are not the best you can find , it is clean but looks oldthe room i had, had a view on the swimming pool and was goodThe AC wasnt working properlyThe female staff i met when i arrived wasnt very cooperative , but the male one was very helpful and nice
You get exactly what you pay for. Dont come here expecting anything fancy. The rooms are small but include a balcony. The staff at reception are friendly and helpful and available 24/7.However the breakfast here is absolutely awful. Most of the food items on the breakfast buffet are to be avoided and the coffee tastes exactly like burnt plastic. The location is amazing as youre only a short walk from the beach and there are many good restaurants and bars in the locality. The pool here is very nice especially in the morning when its quieter. Its definitely one of the redeeming qualities of the hotel along with its staff and location.
the hotel its ok , personal also was so friendly.. but the food was not good, it was the same every day and it was not fresh we had evey day abdominal pain and it have absolutely nothing for vegetarians
Very nice stay! Kind staff and beautiful garden next to the pool :)
We stayed here here as our flight with easyjet was overnight delayed and omg what a horrible place to stay.Smell like 100 years old cellar. Decor goes back to 70s . Cockroaches running around. Ive never stayed in place like this before . People wereleaving to go to stay else whereas this place is not fit for purpose. This place should be closed down. Staff is rude and unfriendly as well . Our beautiful holiday just got spoiled by one night here . I would rather stay on the bench at the airport then in this hotel .Dont come here ,dont waste your money as this hotel is disappointment
Nice location and friendly staff when we turned up after out EasyJet flight was cancelled.Wouldnt be the sort of place I would choose for myself as only a 3 star hotel but probably good value for money.Rooms are dated and could do with upgrading/ a refresh but bed linen and towels were clean, pool was nice. Worth popping next door to the Greek Grill
Good day ,In the days 5-12 / 3 / 2022 I suppose to be full-time , lawful participant of the Erasmus ,,Youth Exchange ‘‘ project organised by ,,Symposium - non-humanitarian & non - profit & non-sense ‘‘ organisation with its headquarters on this formerly British Island. The Manager of the Organisation is Bernadette Dean (or very similar last name to the ,,Deer‘‘, which expression She really liked to use. Unfortunately, my feedback for this organization is 2/5.This Person is not a competent manager , the deadlines, arrangements & establishments are not being kept. Unfortunately, since our first (1.contact I do not understand Her English language formulations. There are no replies from Their side , when there is a reply - not competent, at all not connected to the subject , topic. All Their work is late , there are significant delays & I would really want to , that They improve Themselves personally & professionally.I am so sorry.Adam , The ADAM
Despite the fact that we were put into this hotel by easyjet, I still feel that the place was horrendous.Thankfully we didnt pay for this this.
The room smells extremely badly, like mold. There was a leak from the bathroom floor. An awful experience all over.
I wish there was no star for the review that I can start my feedback with. We are doing our bookings as we go. We planned to arrive at this area yesterday evening so we looked yesterday and found this hotel available . There were other options as apartments too . We considered a hotel will be better. WRONG decision . Not because the hotel is old , we needed a place to sleep at , but because the room was not clean. Dirty and others who lives here left their trace. Open shampoo, dirty toilet , dust etc . There are apartments around you can rent if you look for a place to sleep at . Don’t think like us. This was probably the worst place I stayed in my whole life. Not clean not clean and NOT CLEAN !
Beds hard as nails, stains on bedding and the air-conditioning didnt work also found cockroaches in the bathroom the breakfast was subpar but amazing pool area and good for relaxing
Hotel is good if you need a place to sleep and to eat something normal. If you expect luxury room and sophisticated food - forget it. When we entered the room first, we found a pair of socks on the floor, and generally the room looked as someone was still living there. Cleaning is every 2-3 days.Meals are repetitive, but theyre ok if you eat what you get. Vegetarians have poor choice (especially for lunch), limited coupons/tallons for all drinks - if you want more, you have to pay.Swimming pool and nearby garden also look good.Location is very nice - bus stops are just in front of the hotel, beaches and famous attractions can be reached on foot or by bus. If you want to eat outside, there are taverns and restaurants in close neighborhood.Staff is very friendly and helpful, and it turned out that theres a lady at reception desk who comes from Poland (so do we), which was a nice surprise for us.
Staff were amazing, rooms were cleaned daily, food was good, location was perfect. For what we paid, this hotel provided everything we needed....very impressed x
Very unwelcoming staff starting with the reception..the bed sheets & bellows are not clean & when I asked to change they said it’s only dirty spots but it’s not used !! Most strange answer I’ve heard in a hotel !!The blanket smells bad, the towels are sooo old can’t be used .. Even the elevator is not clean .. not recommended at all
Its okey for the short trip. You had option with only breakfast - food was okey but without spices. Lobby is fantastic made but the rooms are in a very low budget made. Staff is very professional and helpful. Everyone knows English and can do any task like call a car for rent or give some advice for tourist.
The hotel has years of light behind it, rooms are small, without amenities (for a refrigerator you have to pay extra, there is only one keyand cleanliness also leaves a little to be desired. As for the food it was also quite monothematic and without much choice. However, on the plus side the proximity of good taverns and the beach (about 800 metresand free parking for guests. A plus of the hotel are the people serving the reception, always helpful and smiling. This is a good choice if you want to explore and spend most of your time outside the hotel.
Unfortunately this should be 1 or 2 stars Hotel.Breakfast very limited. Not a simple kettle or tea cup in the roomThe young female receptionist thinks she is the centre of the universe ( doesnt know that she needs to treat people nice and friendlynot like her servants
Out dated. No toiletries. No slippers. Small rooms. Basic uncomfortable bedding. Not enough towels-in room and had to go to reception to get myself. Rude receptionist. Small bath for kid and outdated shower in bath. Terrible balcony view
at this point of time, hotel is pretty empty and we were the only ones at the hotel. Breakfast was not that great, as juices tasted like water and food was ok. Ill accept the apology cause there is no income, outcome, there is no customers and its not season time
The hotel lacks the basics like kettle, water and tea. Dirty and smelly rooms with extremely cheap beds. The car park is full of holes. The reception is uncooperative and refused to refund even after we stayed for 30 minutes.NEVER TRY TO STAY HERE!!!
I have stayed at this hotel a number of times. Great staff, good rooms, all with a balcony. Things have improved since the pandemic. Fridges, do not disturb signs for the doors, cleaner and everywhere smells like lavender! Love the breakfasts.
Great value for money, lovely pool area, staff great, cleaners in every day if you want them, a special mention for Diana, the bar manager on evenings, she is the loveliest host you could wish for couldnt do enough for us, thank you for a lovely stay at your hotel, John and Kim from UK.
I booked for one night and with a 32 Celsius degrees, the AC was not working. They didnt want to get me a new room and the technician never came to repair. The frigobar was also off and someone had to come in the morning to turn it on. COVID-19 rules: the guests dont follow the rules using masks while most of them get near the self service breakfast without mask. Irony: when I did the check in, they asked me if I was vaccinated for what? You go and complain to the manager but nothing happens. I will never come back again and will never recommend it.
This property indicates that they are taking safety precautions against COVID-19 BUT ITS FAKE. NEVER AGAIN!The hotel is not respecting basic very basic COVID-19 rules, which are usually respected in all hotels in south Cyprus (this is the fifth hotel I tried). Clients (90% Russiansgo directly to the restaurant without mask, they take the food gathering around the table without mask nor gloves, “try” their drinks nearby the coffee machine. Disgusting. The waiters have their masks on below the nose. They don’t monitor nor asks guests to wear their masks while entering the restaurant. I figured this is an habit for the guests and they were probably told by the Russian guide “not to worry”. The receptionist told me she would speak with the manager but the next two days nothing changed. Not even an apology. The non-respect of hygienic rules IS NOT A PLUS FOR A HOTEL, it is rather mandatory. Such a lack of professionality and respect. This should be clearly specified in the website as the guests need to know whether they want to face the risk before spending their money. The food was old and of very poor quality. The level of clients was very low.We were only provided two small shampoos for the two days, which they didn’t refurbish. The towels were not changed on the next day.
It is a good value for money. Pool is nice, food is ok. Rooms are quite good and clean.I give it 3 stars because it wasnt COVID friendly at all. People and staff using the elevator without mask. Costumers taking their food from self service buffet without mask or any other precaution (although there were one use gloves available). All the staff using their masks under their noses....but this seems to be "the Cypriot way" of wearing the mask... (If they wear it, not often)
Check hotel website as well as travel agents they are very different.Pool wasnt cleaned out at all full of falling leaves .With no other activities for youngsters this becomes a nightmare when young football team are staying in the hotel..Staff were great apart from cleaners
A three star hotel, Veronica is a typical holiday hotel in a great location. Ive read other reviews where people have complained about little things but this is a three star so you have to bring your expectations in line with this. Our room was clean and comfortable with a great view of the pool and was cleaned daily. Breakfast was a selection of toast, cereal, cake, yoghurt or a cooked breakfast. Expect a variant on a full English as you are not in the UK. Lunch and Dinner is available at 15 Euro each which we didnt take up as this is more expensive than the local restaurants, however, it did look and smell great. You also have a supermarket opposite for water and snacks. The beach is a three minute walk with plenty of bars and restaurants but you will pay more for eating right on the sea front. We found slot of great places to each two streets back. You will also be charged extra for a room safe and fridge if required. Having paid £270 for two for a week I think this hotel is great value for money.Staff was always happy to help.
Honest review of everything about this hotel:1. We arrived for our 5 day stay to get told there wasn’t any room for us at the hotel. They had overbooked the hotel!! We got put into a 4 star hotel round the corner- granted it was nice but it was inconvenient! They paid for our taxi to get there and back. We did then get upgraded from half board to full board, got given the fridge for free and the safe for free.2. The food- Bloody horrific!!!! We got upgraded to full board but only had the lunch there once. It was so plain, boring and unappetising! At dinner time we weren’t even allowed tap water!!! They said we were only allowed a drink if we paid for it. It’s the first place I’ve ever been to which has refused tap water.3. The waitresses/waitors- They make the hotel even worse. They are rude and not helpful in the slightest. They all had a face like a slapped arse too. I don’t think we saw one of them smile.4. The receptionists- We saw 2 receptionists while we were there. A tall male and a female with glasses. They are an asset to the hotel. 5 star service! Both of them helped us so much and catered to our every need. They deserve a lot of recognition.5. Pool- the pool is in the shade for the afternoon. Big sized rectangle pool, not busy and plenty of sunloungers. Pool opening times are good.6. No entertainment in the evenings.7. Rooms- we had a twin room. Lovely space. Beds aren’t the comfiest. Bathroom is a good size and balcony is great. Had views of the sea, pool and a lot of palm trees!
Very nice and quiet hotel. We upgraded our room to a superior room which was well worth the extra £150. Had views over the pool and sea glimpse. The staff work very hard so you enjoy your stay. Its kept very clean. The only downfall is the food. The quality needs to improve to make this a 5 star review. But we made the most of it as everything else was excellent. Thank you
It is on the cheaper side. Staff are very nice. Rooms are clean but very noisy (you can hear your neighbours up and down the floor). Breakfast is boring and nowhere near good quality. Almost no vegetarian options. Only black tea. Havent tried dinner. No toiletteries: remember to bring your own.
The location is great - harbour bus from the airport stops right outside. The room was dated and a bit shabby. The breakfast was poor. Reception staff were lovely. If you just want a budget room in a pretty good location its OK. As others have said it needs a refresh
Bearing in mind this is a 3 star hotel, my only complaint would be that the bed was lumpy and needed to be replaced. Not the hotels fault, but filled with rude and unfriendly Russian guests. The food is acceptable. The pool area is nice and our balcony overlooking it and the palm trees was great. The advertised 600 Meters to the sea must be as the crow flies because its a 15 minute brisk walk to get to it... and its way too hot to walk briskly 😌
Returned a week ago. Great value for money. Great range of choice for breakfast and dinner- self service buffet which I like as can have more or less of foods depending on likes. There a week - different choices for dinner every night. Very clean public areas. Very helpful staff. Bus stop just outside but not a long walk to beach anyway. Would have loved a kettle in the room - would have paid for hire and would have got own tea etc as supermarket across the road. Did pay for hire of safe - wasn’t much anyway and great for leaving stuff in. Didn’t pay for fridge hire as were half board and without kettle didn’t need to put anything in. Very good for a 3 Star hotel. No evening entertainment although there is a bar and snooker table but bus outside and frequent buses means easy to get to other venues- a few “pub” type places short walk away.
Good budget price hotel. Spacious rooms with plentiful storage space. Average food if youre not vegetarian. Good location 5 minutes from the sea and a lovely 20 minutes coastal walk to the harbour and town. Convenient bus stops outside the hotel into the town or the airport.Staff generally very friendly and helpful with one or two exceptions. Overall, I enjoyed my 7 week stay and will probably use this hotel again.
Budget hotel, outskirts of Paphos.Gods waiting room, no entertainment, nothing to do locally. Good, regular bus service into town.Hotel very clean, staff nice & obliging but management arrogant.Mattress worn out, you could feel the springs; bed covers were threadbare; no heating: hotel needs to invest in new kit.Food basic, sometimes unpalatable slops - OK if you like cold pizza slices or tasteless jelly almost every night. However, the stewed beef was a basic to resort to.
A pleasant enough place. Staff are friendly and helpful. Im on a 28 day stay, room maintenance I.E change of bedding and towels is a bit hit and miss this time of year (January /February), only limited maid service. Meals rotation is on a weekly basis.
Nice and clean place with friendly staff. Stayed there off season and got poolside view rooms free of charge. Breakfast are good, everybody can choose something, missed feta cheese though and sausages are uneatable but otherwise great. Also kinda missed the possibility of borrowing a teapot to make tea or coffee in the room otherwise it was great
Rooms are very average. No tea or coffee making facilities available in room. No shampoo supplied and so far (after 3 daysonly 1 small bar of soap. 3 star hotel, I dont think so.
Very nice and a quiet place. The food is good especially fried potatoes, fish and some other breaded seafood. Breakfast and dinner are inside and lunch is in the fresh air by the pool. The rooms are quite spacious but you have to pay extra fees for a fridge. Our room was cleaned for 4-5 times during 9 days. So I liked almost everything about Veronica. P.S. Please dont tease the red and white cat in the lobby it may scratch you!
