Verona Italian Restaurant - Italian restaurant in Conway, United States
Food, service and atmosphere was one of the best weve had in a longtime
Stopped here by accident while traveling. We each had a different pasta, but both were great. Menu is awesome!
Absolutely amazing restaurant. Took my wife on a dinner date and the service did not disappoint. The servers were very nice and on point with the wine and food pairings and were very attentive. I will be sure to make this place a mainstay for me and my family.
This was very bad. SpeciL #2 spaghetti with sea food. There was no clams only 2 mussels and 3 shrimp. The sauce was to thick and not a light tomato it was the worst I ever eat. I may never go back.
Customer service was good. Restaurant was clean. Bread was delicious. Prices were standard. Open on Sundays which is nice around here. Salads were good. Main course/ entrees were ok. The fettuccine lacked flavor and creaminess. I ordered the shrimp Cremona. It was good just a little too heavy on the mushrooms and wouldve like to see no tails on the shrimp. Also, wouldve been better with a fettuccine, penne, or linguine noodle, not spaghetti. My wife ordered the tortellini in a pink sauce that was very good. We will continue to go back to taste the other dishes on the menu.
Arguably the best food Arkansas has to offer! I stop here every time I’m in town and it never disappoints!
Server was great! Food was delicious! My first time there and I will go back again.
Great service and great cooks will be back. Awesome waiter Devon five star plus
Hair in the salad, slow service, lasagna was good, but after the hair, it ruined our experience. Theres better.
My boyfriend took me to Verona for the first time and I loved it! The food was great and so was the service. Jessica was an incredible waitress! Can’t wait to go back!
Was very disappointed in the food had no flavor tasted like it came out of a can spent way too much money on a very disappointing dinner even dessert taste store bought not worth it at all
Staff were very friendly, & professional, food was fantastic. Restaurant was clean, food served in a timely manner, & hot when received. I will definitely be dining at this establishment again.
The Caesar salad 🥗 was only lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers (which was waxed and unpeeled). No descent dressing...the basil vinaigrette dont have the taste of basil and was red and sweet.Bread was warm and delicious.
Great Food! Wonderful people. Best Italian food in Conway Arkansas .Try it!
My husband and I ate here for the first time today and we loved it. Our server was named Devon and he was very professional, attentive, and entertaining. The good is exceptional, the ambience is lovely, and the service was excellent. We will be back!
Good food. Try the canolli or the lemon cello. I enjoyed the tour of Italy. The fettuccine was really nice. With wine and dessert it was a very nice meal.
It seemed they were more concerned with to go orders than guests dining in. They had a wait staff of 3 and the restaurant was not full, it seemed they were working against each other instead of helping each other. It took 20 mins to get water and another 25 to get bread and salads. The food was good but not great. It was my first and last trip to Verona
Very comfortable, quiet. Very friendly. I take my two sons here for our monthly dinner date and we love it. They have great food and theres always more than we can eat so we always have leftovers to bring home. Its not crazy expensive at all. And they have awesome desserts!
Salad and bread were great. Veal parmesan meat was tender and tasty, but the breading around the veal got pretty soggy with all the tomato sauce over the top. Pasta was past al dente...so just ok. Lasagna was pretty good.
If you haven’t tried Veronas yet, you are missing out! The food here is authentic and gloriously delicious! The service is great and the atmosphere was perfect. We were well taken care of and we look forward to being back again soon!
Restaurant far exceeded expectations. The food was much better than chain Italian restaurants like olive garden. I had the lunch portion which was still a large portion and the prices were actually low considering the quality of the food. Service was top notch..oh and the deserts were amazing as well. I will be back to Verona again.
I’ve been to Verona several times. Here’s my review. For the food, I honestly don’t think it’s that amazing. It’s not anything special, in my opinion. Almost everything has the same flavor. I feel like I could make these dishes at home and it would taste just as good, if not better. On the plus side, there’s a very wide variety of things to choose from and they have a very good set of wine selections. For the service, it was good. The people seem very kind. We had a 4 year old that is very sassy and likes to do what she wants when she wants, and our hostess was very patient and caring towards her.For the interior and atmosphere, I love it. You walk in and you think you’re about to dine in a 5 star restaurant. The inside looks very elegant and put together. For value for money, I’d say it’s a pretty good deal. Not too costly. There’s not much else to say.I wouldn’t make a special trip strictly to get Verona.
I absolutely LOVE Verona! My boyfriend and I came here for the first time on a date a few weeks ago and adored it. We came again today, and it was just as delicious!First- the bread! Their bread is so good. You get a bunch of warm rolls with your meal, and I highly recommend dipping them in your soup. You do get a soup or salad with your meal as well. Their soups are very VERY delicious. The first time we came it was Cream of Chicken, and I definitely had it with hesitancy since my only previous experience with Cream of Chicken soup was Campbell BUT theirs was SO good. Today we had the tomato basil bisque- and it was AMAZING! I may have over ate on just rolls and soup. And the waiter packed us to-go bread Both times Ive gone, I ordered pasta - of course! They were so delicious, and you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The shrimp tasted fresh and the texture was FAR from rubbery. The pastas have very subtle but delicious flavoring. We got a cannoli the last time we were here, and it was also yummy - especially considering my last experience with a cannoli was at Disney World Epcot. You can get all of their desserts ordered to-go to eat at home later if youre full.Absolutely adore this place! Highly recommend coming here! The waiters were super nice and helpful, and the place was very clean! They serve coke products and also have a bar!
We had the best experience at Verona’s this evening! The food was delicious! The portions were large! The service was amazing! Very child friendly atmosphere. Our waitress, Aubrey, took great care of us as well.We can’t wait to come back for more!
Our server today was wonderful. Working as host and only server he worked quickly and politely. Food was hearty and we enjoyed a good meal together. We will eat there again.
Food was fantastic but the waitress with red hair and a nose ring didnt bother doing refills until we were done with out meal.So honestly its a great place just a semi lazy staff.
Verona has easily become my favorite Italian restaurant in Conway. The service is great but it is the food that is excellent. I had a great sweet server and the wait was minimal. I will continue as a loyal customer.
Check out my lane 5 star review of this place at FB/Ben Gruita Has Too Much Time on His Hands.
Came with the family, started out great and went downhill fast. The staff is nice, but incompetent to put it nicely. No refills unless you ask four times, our food was given to another table, then they get their food while we still had to wait on ours. Keep in mind we ordered 20 minutes before they sat. The lasagna my mother had ordered came out uncooked to top it all off, cold throughout. At least they were nice enough to remove that from the ticket, seeing as how we did not eat it. They offered free desserts, but I did not wish to sit another hour on that.Stay away if there is more than two cars in the lot, not worth the price in the least. Pasta Grill is far better in every regard. It would be nice if they were as fast at service as they are at responding to reviews.
I dont recommend coming here on a Sunday for lunch. They were short staffed and took over an hour to get two out of four ordered dishes. The other two were delivered to the wrong table. The compensation was 4 desserts, which we didnt get because it was taking too long. We had to wait for the other two dishes. One of the two was still cold in the middle. Other people were getting their food before us. We paid $52 after the fact. The time and money spent was not worth it.Edit: When we asked for a manager, we were informed the staff was doing the best they can. Yes, we were offered free dessert. It took over 15 minutes for a refill, which we did not receive. We did not want to wait even longer for four desserts. We simply wanted to leave.
Amazing! Came with my family around 12 on a Sunday. Great atmosphere, clean restrooms, and the BEST Italian food I’ve had in a long time. Our server Albina was the best! Don’t drive past this mom & pop place hungry… 110/10!!
Fantastic food. Portion sizes seemed a bit smaller on my last visit. Increased cost of goods is probably the culprit so I cant hold it against them. The dinner rolls are fantastic. Seafood Verona is highly recommended. This is my go-to Italian restaurant for a sit-down experience.
We had a great lunch at Veronas in Conway. Their sauce is on point and we are picky about sauce. Our server, Jess was very friendly and attentive. We were happy to see they also offer GF pasta options, too. We will absolutely be back!
Went for lunch yesterday, for the second time. Food was just as good as the first time. The lasagna and the shrimp carbonara were delicious, and the rolls were amazing. Wish I wouldn’t have been too full to try the turtle cheesecake…maybe next time.
This is the best Italian restaurant I have ever had the pleasure to eat. I had the fried meat ravioli as an appetizer and Ribeye Marsala for the meal. The ravioli was so good I couldn’t stop eating it! The steak was so delicious and the marsala pasta was the perfect complement for it. They asked what temp I’d like my steak cooked, and I’d never had that question before. The result was the absolute perfect steak. Everything was seasoned to perfection. The service was also amazing. I can’t recommend this place enough.
A few girlfriends and I came for lunch and it was AMAZING. It was all of our first time, we will definitely be back. We didnt have one bad dish🙂
Dont miss this diamond in the rough, or judge the restaurant by its exterior. Verona is by far in my opinion the best Italian restaurant around. The atmosphere is quaint, quiet and perfect for a date night or family outing. The food is absolutely amazing. You can tell that these recipes have been around for awhile and have been perfected. The Shrimp Ala Nona was perfectly cooked and garnished, and the creamy white sauce was spot on. The red sauce for the Chicken Parmigiano, as well as the chicken was some of the best Ive had. Not to forget about the rolls....which melt in your mouth. Service was the best and could not have had better. Overall this is a gem in Conway, that many may write off, but for those who are looking for great Italian food, this is a must have on your list. We have been hooked for years and will not go anywhere else. Here is a special shout out to the cooks. You all rock...
The cream of mushroom soup was amazing entrees were awesome mozzarella sticks werent all that great but great experience great stuff good food
Nope! Skip this one until they hire all new staff. They didn’t include everything in my order even though they charged me for it. The lasagna was a complete mess. The pasta was burned to black. The sauce DID have a good flavor but how ya gonna eat lasagna without the pasta? They didn’t send the main thing I wanted which was fried ravioli so I ordered it from Pasta Grill and it was fantastic. I recommend Pasta Grill 1000% over this joint.
First time eating here and I was pleasantly surprised for such an unassuming location. I ordered the shrimp tuscany and had the cream of mushroom soup. The soup was phenomenal, and it’s made fresh. The bread is wonderful, also baked in-house each morning. The pasta was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly, large servings. The restaurant was very clean and all the food was hot and fresh. The only thing that I would complain about is the Parmesan… they have the little jars of crushed red pepper and powdered Parmesan on the table like at chain pizza places, I was surprised they didn’t use fresh Parmesan on top of the dishes considering how everything else is so fresh. Otherwise, everything was great.
Terrible. I ordered chicken marsala and there was no sauce and pool of water in the bottom. Dry chicken, Flavorless, and NOT worth the money. I strongly advice against eating here.
Great experience. The manager/hostess Judy was friendly and helpful, the food was piping hot and delicious (shrimp Ala Casa), the rolls are hand made daily ad the pesto was fantastic. If youve ever been to the one in Heber Springs and hated it like I did, this place will redeem the name and then some. Service was incredibly fast (from seated to eating in roughly 20 minutes). Better in every way, but also great in their own right without the comparison.
If you know, you know. This place is great. This is our 2nd time and left once again very happy and full. All four of us had plenty leftover for another meal. We will be back for sure
We went to lunch. We ate very delicious seafood pasta when we went to lunch before, so we went to eat that pasta this time. I arrived 15 minutes after the store opened, so there were only 3 groups of customers in the store. We ordered immediately after seeing the menu. We ordered "Seafood Combo # 1". We were surprised by the stench when it was brought to the table. It was not the smell of seafood at all, but the rotten smell of the nose, which I thought was clearly abnormal. VERY BAD smell. The last time I ordered the same thing from the waiter, I didnt smell it at all, and I told him that I enjoyed the delicious pasta but it smelled unpleasant. They didnt apologize at all and offered to make new ones many times, but we explained to those who seemed to be managers because they were afraid to eat other dishes because they couldnt forget the horrifying stench. I left the store. The atmosphere of the shop was very good, but I left the shop in the worst mood.
Always an enjoyable meal. Everything that we ordered, over many trips, has been top quality authentic Italian food made fresh. They are family owned. Highly recommend due to quality of food & service.
Very good restaurant. Probably my favorite place in conway. The food was delicious. My first time on a date with my husband since our son was born. The only issue was I left my mask in the diaper bag that was with the sitter. I walked in and was not treated very nicely because of it. She wouldn’t let us sit without having a mask. She handed me one after I told her I left it in the diaper bag. Again she was not nice about this. I put it on and walked five feet to our table where I then took it off. I didn’t appreciate that. However, the food made up for it along with dessert. Highly recommend. Servers weren’t very friendly. Could have been an off night but we are willing to try it again. Ps the cannoli is to die for!
This is, without a doubt, our favorite Italian restaurant in Central Arkansas. The food is excellent, homemade, and served promptly. The service is fantastic. Everyone here is so friendly. I have not had it a bad dish; everything has been great. I am especially grateful that their sauces are homemade from fresh ingredients.
Best Italian restaurant in Conway, AR. The waitress was great. Loved the atmosphere, very relaxing. We left Stuffed..Mine was a combo. My husband and brothers plates were good too.
We are so happy that Conway once again has an Italian restaurant!! We ate here for the first time today and welcomed Verona to our city!!Fantastic service and our food came very fast. The house dressing on the salads is stunning - a lovely sharp riff on a tomato-basil vinaigrette that just wakes up the taste buds!! Love it!!We had the lasagna and pasta combo. They came out bubbling, covered in melted and beautifully browned mozzarella, and the pasta was perfectly cooked with warm gooey and meat-filled centers. Bravo!!Ciao! And see you soon again, as we will be back soon!! 😊
Took the family to the movies and decided to try the new place across from the theater. So we arrive and are seated in less than 5 mins. The kids ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and spaghetti with meat sauce. They enjoyed it so much that they wore lots of it on their clothes to the house! My oldest order the shrimp Alfredo pasta. I wish I could tell you it tasted good but when I looked over she was licking the bowl clean and I didnt even get a bite!My wife ordered the pasta rustica with shrimp, scallops and a delicious creamy tomato sauce. I managed to snag a shrimp to try before I lost a finger.I am on a low carb diet. Yes yes I know. Why the heck did I go to a new Italian restaurant? Well I guess I like to torture myself! I ordered a side of meatballs and marinara, with the Italian sausage appetizer. The marinara sauce was excellent and the meat balls and sausages were very good.No deserts us tonight. Good food and for a family of 6 it was affordable. WIN WIN
