Loved staying there. The lady that runs the place is amazing and so friendly. It felt like a home from home.
MoreMould damp behind bed, curtains, room unhoovered, could not stop coughing, nearly felt sick, shower head full off mould, and limescale. Kettle was full off dust and limescale in kettle.Disappointed, Elderly lady friendly at first was very rude afterwards and slammed door, when we left.
MoreVery nice lady what owns it and is very helpful
Best place to stay for a dirty night out
Excellent facilities amazing rooms and excellent staff
Great place with very friendly people!!
Very friendly staff
A lovely guesthouse set in a gorgeous Victorian building ran by the sweetest ladies
MoreFriendly service
Very good size rooms, clean & well presented. Was greeted by lady & offered a drink
MoreLoved our 1 night stay. Was greeted with a friendly smile and a cup of tea. The price was really reasonable and could park Infront of the b and b. Room was tidy. the bathroom could have had a deeper clean and there was a door that kept banging which is why 4 stars. But for a little night in Stoke I do recommend
MoreNot very clean, very little parking, no staff available after 10pm, shared toilets & showers,
MoreIts a hidden treasure. First of all the host lady was very welcoming. She showed everything were we should park, she offered us tea and coffee after arriving and she served fresh milk. About the house: its in town center but nice soundproof. In the room was a huge led TV, plates, microwave, a mini fridge and even an extra single bed. The house provides towels and hair dryer and a book with a lot of information, local taxi nr, direction to local attractions, restaurants recommendations everything. We couldnt ask for more. It was a pleasure to stay in this lovely place.
MoreThis place is a disgrace, no en-suite, no toilet seat on shared bathroom . the place is filthy in fact it is appalling . Blatant disregard for basic fire regulations and health and safety. Please do not believe the lying photos and good reviews which must be put up by friends or family.
MoreA few of the lads stayed there Saturday night...Lovely rooms and landlady was great...well recommended 👍
MoreGreat place

ONE OF THE BEST GUEST HOUSE TO STAY IN THE REGION
Lovwkt warm welcome, breakfast available extra change, beautiful room and very well equipped
MoreReally enjoyed our stay at Verdon Guest House. We were surprised how modern and well equipped our room was. Pretty good fit and finish. When we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome from friendly staff who even offered us a fresh pot of tea to welcome us. Overall, very pleased and would definitely consider staying there again.
MoreAwful. Staff were friendly enough but place felt unclean. No organisation atall. I was relieved they didnt offer us breakfast.
MoreNot a true reflection of the booking photos at all (pictures must have been taken years ago!!). Un-hoovered floors, dirty chairs, shower mouldy & hairs in the plug hole. Located on a derelict street which on arrival made us wonder how it could charge £55 for 1 night with no breakfast! It was a real let down & would not have booked here if wed have known!!
MoreWonderful place to stay. Staff are so friendly and rooms are so spacious, clean and welcoming. Will definatly be coming back again
MoreVery welcoming hostess at this guest house. Goes out of her way to make your stay comfortable. Easy walk to town centre.

Morevery amazing place for staying. clean and comfortable. i love a
cool place.
I found the Verdon guest house to be dirty and generally had a run down look about it. Desperate need for a refurb! Id avoid this and just book into a Premier Inn, cheaper and far cleaner!!
MoreI arrived to be greeted by the smell of what can only be described as dogs / smoke / 1960. A lovely start! Then an elderly lady greets me and shows me to my room. There was only one word to describe the room, disgusting! The first thing I noticed was a big black stain on the duvet, followed by a long ladies hair on the pillow (I noticed this whilst the elderly lady was in the room). Obviously, when you see things like this, you want to take a closer look at things before handing over any money! I went on to look at the sheets on the bed, only to be called “rude” by the elderly lady! She went on to ask what I was doing, so I explained what I had found and why I was taking a closer look. She seemed shocked, and went on to ask me to point anything else out which there was a problem with, which didn’t take long:- Room stinks of smoke- Strange splashes on the walls (she actually asked me if I had problems with splashes on the wall – what is that about?)- Big holes / dints in the wall- Cobwebs (see photos)- General dirty look to EVERYTHING- Holes in the pillow case and in the sheets (looked like cigarette burns)The only thing she seemed horrified about was the hair on the pillow, the fact the place was a total dump seemed lost on her. After this conversation, she moved me to another room which was a bit better than the first room, but it would still fall into the category of being “a smelly dump”. If I had not been in a rush to get out (had a meetingand if I thought I could have easily found a room in a hotel (had already tried, but it was summer holidays timeI would have walked out at this point.I got little sleep (thanks to what I’d call “dirt paranoia”but also because my window backed onto somebodies back door, a somebody who liked to pop out for a cigarette every 20 minutes ALL NIGHT. Despite closing the windows, the smoke smell somehow managed to drift into my room. What an absolute pleasure that was.I woke up, excited by the fact that I was just minutes away from leaving this dump. Unfortunately for me, I had to have a shower first. I thought the rooms were shocking, but the bathroom was actually hideous. Cobwebs galore, hair everywhere, wet dog smell, shared bar of soap, broken shower (photo attachedand a plughole so full of hair, the shower obviously hadn’t been draining properly – leaving a lovely foamy residue from the last shower user.Never again – a total disgrace!
MoreRoom clean and fair size, nicely decorated and homely. Very welcoming and lovely breakfast. No complaints on my part would stay here again.
MoreEnsuite....more like just closer to the toilet/shower everyone can use! Paid extra for it too!! Slept alright...one good note.
