I have been to Verdi a number of times. This last occasion was for a reunion. They did not fail to satisfy once again. The food was hot, plentiful and delicious.I would recommend Verdi for any occasion. Tucked up in the hills of western Waterbury at the Western Hills Golf Course, Verdi is that hidden gem youre always looking for. 👍🙂

Excellent meal! Ate dinner after a round of golf on Saturday. Service was good but the food was fantastic. Sat on the beautiful patio watched golfers coming up the 18th hole, it was wonderful!

Visited this establishment based solely on the reviews, and it was a nice overall experience.Facilities- PRO: They have indoor/outside seating. This establishment is located on a golf course. Theres a full service, separate bar area. The dining area has minimal decor but kept very neat & clean. We made a quick reservation and was accommodated.STAFF -PRO: wait staff was nice & attentiveFOOD:CON: Appetizer - I ordered the crabcake. Not great!! Once youve have a "Maryland" lump crabcake, not many other type crabcakes can compete!PRO: Dinner - starter: chicken noodle soup was very good.PRO: Dinner, main course: Seared scallops with broccoli rabe - EXCELLENT!! Full of flavor. Id definitely recommend this dish.PRO: Dessert - My husband had the rice pudding. Two thumbs up 👍👍COST - PRO: pricing was competitive but reasonable based on selections offered.

Sunday lunch. Excellent service on their patio. Good food. Not crowded.Fountain soda flavors not as good as bottled or canned products.

Ordered arugula salad with goat cheese and whatever else it comes with and all I got was arugula. Sent it back twice and it still didn’t come out right!!!Do not eat here.

Our waitress Raquelle was very friendly, knew her stuff and had good suggestions. Bartender outside was ok, food was delicious. Humberto was the chef today and the flavors he put in the food was impeccable 👌 😋I had the lemon chicken with their risotto and fresh veggies, hubby has the loster roll, it consists of both claw and tail meat. Both delish.

Great Place for a drink. Staff are extremely professional and friendly. Surprised the owner Tony came to greet us. I had a great experience at Verdi.

This place probably doesnt need another 5 star review, however I believe that it would be only proper and all together fitting to acknowledge and mention how good the hospitality was in addition to the excellent level of service we were provided. We had a small group ranging from a 100 year old WWII veteran, in a wheelchair, to a small 4 year old child. Each one has their own needs, however the people at Verdi, including the owner himself, I believe his name is Anthony, set out from the moment we walked in the door to insure we had a pleasant dining experience.I would imagine that anyone who has dined here knows that the quality of the food being served, as well as its preparation, is difficult to be surpassed. Prime steak, Plume De Veau Veal , along with a selection of fresh seafoods, which have almost all been completely eradicated from the menus of most restaurants due to the significant increase in food costs associated with todays inflation, are standard offerings on their menu. Neither the quality or the portion sizes, which were incredibly large, were being compromised on account of inflation. What is hard to understand is the cost. I couldnt prepare this food at home for what they charge. In addition they still provide bread, soup or salad as part of each meal. If you go there on a beautiful day and sit on one of the outdoor terraces overlooking the golf course and the beautiful hills of Waterbury, CT, you couldnt ask for a better setting, better service, or better food than what you will get here. Thank you to all who made our dining experience GREAT!

Amazingly good food, service and ambience. The owner, Tony, is unparalleled in customer service and management. I had lasagna and husband had Chicken parm. Both were the best we’ve had anywhere. Don’t miss this Diamond of a restaurant!

I was here for a function, so this may not be a typical review. In my opinion, the food was mediocre and the service was lackluster. The offerings at the buffet were barely warm and once an entre was gone, it wasnt refilled. This may have been part of the venues arrangement with the group...I dont know.

Excellent food and service. We were there for a bereavement brunch and they did a great job. Would definitely use their banquet facilities again and look forward to coming for dinner on that patio!

The French bone in pork chop was absolutely amazing. Cooked to perfection, the peppers and potato wedges complimented the dish amazingly. Absolute must get from this restaurant, however, they have a great variety of Italian dishes which are all very enjoyable in their own and have very reasonably priced drinks.

My wife and I had my retirement party there, the food and service was excellent. Everyone complemented on how the food and service was. We have been going there for years and never had a bad meal. The owners and staff are very friendly. We highly recommend this place.

Great news that the Harold Zinno Jazz Orchestra is back once a month now at Verdi, after the Shamrock Pub and Grill sadly closed due to the Covid restrictions. Reserved two seats for the November show. Fine music and food. The special menu pork chop was perhaps the best Ive ever had at any restaurant. (See my photosFans of the band are asked for donations to help support members who have to drive a distance to play, which we gladly did.#Verdi is a popular place to hold events. Situated next to the Western Hills Golf Course, hence the name for greens in Italian, it has a large indoor/outdoor and scenic property. Here are some photos of buffet dinner food from a wedding reception attended in October, and some bar type food brought home from a bachelors party my partner attended in September.The buffet dinner food for the reception included Verdis meatballs, penne, rice, chicken Milanese made like chicken française - breaded with lemon, white wine and butter, roast beef rolled like a roulade with diced tomato and spinach, stuffed sole, salad and bread. Our favorite prepared item was the stuffed sole with a seafood stuffing. Really delicious and a quality version of this dish.#Arriving at Verdis for a late lunch, we were instantly seated in a booth and given menus and water. Drink orders taken. Complimentary seeded crackers with bean dip and fresh rolls were served with our choice of salad or soup before dinner. The risotto appetizer with a trilogy of roasted mushrooms was creamy and flavorful.Our two entrees of Veal Saltimbocca and Chicken Milanese were both cooked perfectly, tasty and good sized portions - we both had enough left to take some home.For me, a better side pairing with the veal other than the boiled peeled potatoes, an evening choice of potato by the chef, would have been a mashed, au gratin or even a potato pancake for some crunch. A small pasta like orzo would also work. The green beans and carrots were healthy and colorful but a little under done for my tastes.The arugula greens with tomato that came with the fried and moist chicken was a nice compliment to the buttery lemon sauce made with wine and a little basil.We shared a cup of coffee since their cappuccino machine was being repaired. A rare treat, we split the crème brûlée which was rich and satisfying.There is a tavern menu in the bar for those seeking a more simple dinner, a lunch menu, a happy time from 2-6 pm Monday through Saturday and House special drinks. There is outdoor seating in warmer weather and an ample parking lot. Located on the Western Hills Golf Course, patrons can play a round of golf before or after eating!

Not bad!We were literally passing through on our way up to Salem, MA when we got wildly hungry and decided to make a bold choice in life and hop off the highway!Totally worth it. Delicious and large portions. Ended up having to take half with me to my hotel! Hah! Good reheated, too!If you are passing through or live near by, totally give this place a shot!

Certainly they deserve a 5 star rating! Food was excellent. I was in the mood for authentic style Italian particularly Lasagna amongst some other classics. Took my wife, daughter and mother and we were treated like royalty on a nice Sunday Afternoon. Food was ABSOLUTELY delicious. Cocktails were great and their prices are phenomenal for the quality of food received. We had their Calamari and Pei Mussels for an appetizer. Needless to say we will be back again to try more of their extensive menu! Keep it up Verdi!

I celebrated my friends 60 th birthday with 7 ladies. The owner is very friendly and I believe his mother were a great hostess. She gave my friend a small bottle of champagne. Both were gracious and accommodating. The appetizers, drinks and food were very good. My friend and I enjoyed the chicken piccata. Highly recommend.

This is a nice country club/venue. The outdoor seating area is beautiful. They a great selection of Italian meals and everything tastes great! The service was a little slow but they may have been understaffed during the dinner rush. I will be back on a beautiful day to enjoy the view & food. They also have a huge outdoor bar overlooking the golf course.

Waited forever to order. The waitress assigned to our table had to be new and should have been mirroring a more seasoned wait-person. Smelt of old beer when we walked in. Added, a star for the nice reply.

I expected to pay well over $100 and was pleasantly surprised when I received my bill. Plenty of parking 👏 20☆

Really nice atmosphere. Was there with a group having a work lunch. They were very accommodating. The only reason they’re not getting five stars is because my salad wasn’t made as it was listed on the menu and I had to request the missing cranberries.

I’m unbelievably impressed by this place. From the moment I walked in the door I felt like I meant something to this establishment. Me and my counterpart were greeted with a smile and a welcoming environment. We were seated and the maybe busser?, Ben, was attentive. While filling our water glasses he asked if we have ever dined at Verdi before. After answering “no, it’s our first time” he was quick to welcome us and make us feel like family. Our server, Chrissy, was quick to great us and again made us feel like the regulars that surrounded our table. She made us feel welcome and like we belong with the people who had clearly been coming to this establishment for years. She was knowledgeable of the menu and didn’t bat an eye when I ordered a dirty martini with Hendricks, which as a bartender is hard to admit, was one of the BEST ive ever had.We ordered the antipasto for two as an appetizer and after watching the gigantic shrimp cocktail be brought out to another table, we ordered that as well. Gave us more time to talk and watch the shrimp app be given to another table, which made us order that as well.Our food was amazing. The ambience was inviting. And the service was exquisite.I wish I could give 100 stars for my experience tonightI plan on coming back every other week and trying everything on the menu. Kudos to the owner who took time of of his night to make sure my and my guest were happy This was truly one of the most memorable and amazing dining experiences I’ve ever had.Thank you Verdi. I needed this tonight and you delivered. Can wait to see you all again.

Friendly staff, amazing food. I’m sure Tony will greet you and he’s simply fantastic! It was our first time but will not be our last. Reasonably price. Ordered the veal parmigiana and blackened salmon special. Both were delicious! You won’t be disappointed

Good food, and wide variety. Very friendly staff. We had the 16 oz por chop, bone in veal parm and chicken piccata. All were done nicely and cooked just right. Good selection of scotch too. A little pricey but your are paying for better food and service.

Me and my wife were married,and had our reception at Verdi on 10/03/20,I want to say Joann and Tony were a delight to work with,Joann had to deal with us constantly changing,and adding to our plans for our wedding,she not only did it with a smile,she went above and beyond what she had to do,to ensure we had everything we requested. We had our wedding under the tent with 70 guests,we had plenty of room to eat,dance,and mingle, with the beautiful back drop of the golf course. The staff Joann assembled to work our wedding did an amazing job,with a smile always. Joann you have an amazing staff,please let them know that we truly appreciated them. The food was absolutely delicious,every thing we chose for our cocktail hr,and dinner was perfect. We want you,and your staff to know that you all made our special day one we will never forget! Thank you again for all your hard work.

Great food, fun atmosphere ( located at Western Hills Golf Course), lovely wait staff and hands on attentive owners! Food as varied as pub variety to full fledged dinners. If youve never been, you wont be disappointed if you give it a go! Give your taste buds a treat!

Delightful dining. Very loud bar, as rain forced all golfers inside just prior to our arrival. Calm, comfortable dining room. Very good, house made salad dressings. Very tasty food for fair price. Will be going again.
