Veranda in Irakleion

It’s extremely bad! It’s very hot ,crowded and my food was 40 minutes late when me and my friend literally only ordered a hot dog and a sandwich .The sausage was burned and the bread,sauces and chips were overall very bad ! The worst 50 minutes I’ve spent in Greece .Also the workers ignored us .Finally , the glasses were dirty ‼️

Nice terrace up on one of the main streets. Beautiful scenery for dinner or cocktail. Service on table is quite fast and always available to help you. Food is good and well served. We liked it

Nice service and beautiful view

Dont know why this place so overrated, but it has small portions and nothing special.

The view is amazing and the decor is very pretty. The chicken soup was not my favorite. The chocolate pancakes were very yummy, but all 3 of us that ordered them could not finish the plate because it was too much chocolate! I wish I would have ordered something different as my main course and one order of the pancakes for the table to sample.

We had a lovely dinner here overlooking the fountain. The restaurant offered a variety of authentic Greek cuisine that met all of our expectations. We ordered multiple appetizers as well as entrees because it was hard to choose just one. If your looking for authentic Greek food in Heraklion this is an excellent option.

Excellent place off the busy street where you can eat a tree top level. Good menu and service.

It seemed to me that this is the only place in the city center that serves Greek food. Very nice ambiente on the first floor, view of the Venetian fountain.We had a starter, main courses, wine and a cocktail - were all very good :)The staff was very professional, friendly and took good care of us.I recommend it if you want to have Greek food and cocktails

Loved the traditional food in this restaurant. We have tried many variations and we loved them all! At the end we got a special Greek cake with Mastiha chios in the glass.

This is an amazingly quiet place considering it is in the centre of Heraklion. Although I guess, summer time is much more busier. The food was delicious and also the non alcoholic drink cocktail I has. I will add pictures. This was on Monday. I am back again today. Today is very very busy. Will post again later.

What a burger! Great service and wines!

A hidden oasis in the heart of town!The Veranda is a fantastic spot for food, drinks, and lovely views. Service was friendly and helpful. The food was tasty with a large selection. Highly recommend, the perfect spot to relax and rest your tired feet.

As the place itself is very cozy,prices are okay some are a bit expensive but its worth it at least from my experience.

We waited 1 hour for a burger that you can’t even call a burger. After complaining twice because it took so long for the burger to arrive someone told us there was a problem in the kitchen due to fire or something but eventually found out that there was no problem at all but they just forgot to mention our order twice. The burger arrived when everyone else was done eating. And then the worst part of all! There was a big egg shell in the burger! Eventually we did not pay for the burger but this is not okey! Could be very dangerous when swallowing the shell when not noticing!Please check your burgers first before you eat!

Nice atmosphere and beautiful views. Food was good too and came fast!

The place next to it has actually better mpougatsa to eat, more traditional. This one has some balcony tables and a few treats to try but i dont like the pushy staff at the entrance, they dont add to what id say is a relaxing experience.

Ordered The Castle for dessert, was not disappointed. But pretty comatose.

Well if you have seen the lions square from ground level the it is time to see them from above while enjoying a great mojito... Trust me is nice.

This is a hidden gem next to the square with the fountain. Youd need to go upstairs in the small shopping centre to discover it but the experience is worth it. Vegetarian friendly, good service and relaxing experience 👍 Weve had grilled vegetables, split peas (that actually tasted like mashed fava beanswith pita bread and a portion of 6 (!pancakes and 3 (!sweet sauces.

Food was average and we did not feel any Cretan hospitability, there are better restaurants on the ground.

Terrible food! Not worth the money

Good place to be. Disappointed by the dish though, for the price that I paid. If you want to have a great cretan lunch, its not exactly what youre looking for, even if its in the city center. Or maybe i expected too much...

Amazing place!! Generous and huge plates, really tasty. Halloumi prosciutto bruschetta and octopus are a must!! Service really friendly and professional!! Special atmosphere!!

The best service I have encountered in Greece and I have been to Athens, Naxos, Mikonos and now Crete. But to be frank, the other restaurants I have been to lowered the bar pretty low when it came to good service. This is the only restaurant in Greece that actually cleared the table from our plates once we were done eating. Nice atmosphere. Good music. Friendly staff. I wasn’t able to add tip using my credit card so that was a bit disappointing. The food is quiet mediocre. I ordered a traditional Greek dish pasticcio thinking I will get a special dish. It seemed like it was cut from a tray and not very fresh. My friend ordered the chicken veranda dish and the sauce was quiet heavy in mustard.

You must drink bfresh handmade lemonade only 5 kcal per jar no sugars 🍋🙂😉

In the heart of central Heraklion, Veranda is the coffee shop to go - no doubt! Modern design, friendly staff and tasty coffees (especially the iced greek-style coffeesare there waiting for you. The food is influenced by the Cretan cuisine and is also worth trying! A good choice if you stick centrally!

Great cafe/restaurant right in the city centre on the 1st floor. Nice view on Morosini Fountain. Excellent all day coffee & food.
