Ventura Wildlife Park in Ruislip

Absolutely amazing place looking to help care for all sorts of animals that I have never seen before or even heard of. Very knowledgeable staff who are friendly and easy to talk to, they were able to help me by suggesting enrichment ideas for the rheas that I work with clearly showing the dedication they put into caring for their animals unlike some reviews suggest.Although the site may be small it makes up for it by being well priced and includes a wide range of unusual exotic animals.Very glad I visited this amazing place would definitely recommend and have done. Great work.

Too small! Some of the enclosures were good with lots of enrichment but the Fox enclosure for example, the Fox was pacing around this small enclosure, with hardly any enrichment. This place defo needs expanding.

We really enjoyed our visit and feeding the reindeer but are there any hand washing stations? We couldnt see any and dont think thats good enough!

It isnt very big but we went for the Lemur feeding and it was really good.

Had the lemur experience today and it was brilliant!I am a big fan of Lemurs I’m obsessed with them and this experience was great!The ranger- Can’t remember her name but she was friendly and answered all our questions and gave us lots of facts and information about the lovely lemurs :)Will 100% be doing this again!!

I took the twin 16 month old babies I nanny for to Ventura Wildlife Park yesterday and we had the most fantastic day! Although young, the babies LOVE to see animals and at VWP they got to experience animals that they have never seen anywhere else...and neither had I! It was an informative and exciting day and the keepers were so knowledgeable and entertaining.I cant wait to get an annual pass for us as their Christmas present!

It is a lovely wildlife park. It has kangaroos which I have not seen in the zoos I have been to before. Had a wonderful time recommend it.

7£ bit expensive for what it is ,kills 10 mins with a child.

We went to do the Outback Experience and had a fantastic time feeding the kangaroos, wallabies and emu. Amy was so lovely and made us feel very welcome, she answered all our questions and was very knowledgeable. Later we were lucky enough to hold an armadillo and a millipede! It really is a lovely little zoo, the animals are beautiful and well looked after and all the staff are so friendly. Would highly recommend a visit.

Planned a surprise lemur experience for my sisters 23rd for 3 of us! The best day ever! We enjoyed it so much! The staff were absolutely lovely! Even Suzanne ( main staff membergiving my sister a birthday card from the zoo! We was allowed to get so close to the lemurs to feed them and staff were very kind and chatty/ very knowledgeable! Will definitely return! Cant recommend enough! Absolutely brilliant place to get close to rare animals! Loved it!! 😁

I was left feeling very upset. The animals are living on what looks like recycled chemical treated wood splinters. The zebras did not have a blade of grass in their enclosure, just the nasty woods splinters. A Wallaby had what looked like blood on his chest. Probably from the splinters. The whole place stank of creosote. If you care for animals in any way I wouldnt visit this place. It is very sad to see.

Felt really sorry for the animals in smallish pens with no water or stimulation. Llamas badly needed their coats cutting just one big matted mess - overall very poor.

Its great for the little ones. Its small but interesting and the kids get to see and touch some of the smaller animals.

Went to this park for the first time today and we left within about 10 mins because we walked all round it. It’s so small and not worth the money at all will not be returning very unhappy ☹️

Wow.... A really fantastic lemur feeding experience.... Such lovely staff and all animals seemed really happy and loved. Small wildlife park but so with a visit. Attached to a brilliant garden centre too!

Lemur experience here was great. Keeper very knowledgeable. Wildlife park itself quite small with few animals, lots of work being done here when we went. Inside one of the best garden centres I have ever been to with its own farm to venture around. Definitely worth a trip to

Its not big but still very nice place to spend time with kids. There is also a train to take a ride. Loved it.

This place is good if you go with kids. They have some unusual animals

Visited for a Lemur experience booked through Groupon. Lady on reception very helpful and smiley, explained everything really well and even pushed back our session so we didnt miss another event going on. Keeper that that ran the experience was very calm and knowledgeable and was great with our 10 year old son. He really enjoyed the experience and the rest of the centre. Yes it may not be the biggest but its clean, the animals look well cared for and I saw three animals I didnt even know existed! A great day.

We had a really good few hours in the park after booking a Kangeroo and Wallaby experience in Feb18. Lou our keeper was really good, very knowledgeable and allowed us plenty of time to meet and feed the animals and then we were free to look around the rest of the park. It’s not a large park but it’s very well maintained, everyone is very friendly and there are plenty of animals to see and talks to go to. You can also go in and out of the park during the day so are free to also visit the very large Van Hage Garden centre and cafe and/or the East Herts Miniature railway which are both on the same site.

I visited with three friends, we were not impressed with the enclosures provided for the animals - all very small. One of the Fossas was continually pacing back and forth - either bored or stressed. The enclosure for the Ibis etc was extremely smelly and did not look too clean. Will not be visiting again.

Although it’s small, it’s a wonderful wildlife park with a nice variety of animals - all whom look very well taken care of and happy. You’re able to get really close to the various animals such as ringtail lemurs, fossa, zebra, raccoon dogs and creepy crawlies too. Our toddler loved it.The staff are really friendly and knowledgable about the animals in the park, and more than happy to answer any questions you may have.Really reasonably priced, there’s no time limit to how long you can spend and you’re also able to come in and out of the park as you wish during the day.

I found it quite expensive. It is set out brilliant and the animals were a big hit with my grandsons, I just expected more. Having said that there were shows that the kids can go to. On the plus side you can go in and out as often as you want to

It was amazing, we went after booking a Groupon experience feeding the lemurs. Would definitely recommend. Staff knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Some very interesting animals they have there like the corsac Foxes. The lemurs themselves were friendly and soft and happily sat on our shoulders as we gave them little pieces of sweet potato or apple. Will go again.

Lovely welcoming staff,you can get some hot food from the cafe in the garden centre,small snacks from the wildlife park are available at front entrance,the park is spotlesslyclean with some beautiful animals but this park is very small we finished walking round in 15 mins

Yes, its small - perhaps too small to justify the entrance price of £7 adults and £5 children. If you are a family of 4, you end up paying £24 for a walk through the "Park" (its not a parkthat takes about 15 minutes. Place is very clean and nicely done, no doubt about it. At 3pm they have an animal show (30 minutes). If you visit at this time - the entrance fee would be justified.

Lovely little place. Its small, but so well run and laid out. All rescues in here too. Cant wait till they expand and get the extras they are planning. They have a daily program too, likely feeding times and educational stuff. Bought a yearly pass!

Staff was great, theres a few shows where youre allowed to touch and hold some animals.The animals in general seem to be very happy and well taken care of.Theres a mini train you can ride but you need cash as its only £1 and they dont take card.Unless you want to see all shows an hour is enough to see this wildlife park.

Very small expected much bigger very clean and the few animals seems well looked after took us about 30 mins with a 2 year .He enjoyed the little pets thing outside that was free was going to visit again with woucher but decided he wont enjoy it

Well worth the effort to get there, not massive, but very worthy of a visit. Animals are very well cared for. Makes a very good family day out x

Small wildlife park but worth visiting, Staff are friendly and very knowledgeable, Took my 11 year old, He enjoyed the talk and holding some of the animals, Staff are happy to answer questions and help you learn more about the animals

Recently went here on a day out. A small wildlife place, but a wide range of animals and some “dog raccoons”. Prices are fair, and talks and feeds are hosted regularly in the park.

Absolutely stunning and amazing place. The wildlife wardens are so knowledgeable. Well worth the entrance fee.

Wouldn’t name this a wildlife park at all. It is not very big and best case scenario is spend 1.5 hour here.

Not a good animal experience. Enclosures baron with little or no trees, shrubs or enhancement. An expensive visit for a park that is still under construction and disappointing.

We went on wet afternoon over Easter. There didnt appear to be much for the animals to do as the enclosures were mostly just muddy areas. Maybe this is different when the weather is better though.For 3 adults and 2 children, we would have been quite disappointed at paying £26.However, while sheltering from the rain in a hut we met Dan who told us he was about to do a talk and animal display. We were the only people there at the time.Ive been to a few of these "hold the animal" type of things with the children, but I have to say how completely impressed we all were. First, the animals were not the usual that youd expect to find at these things.Secondly, Dan was great. This was clearly not only a job for him but also a real passion. His knowledge of the animals was fantastic! His enthusiasm for them even more so. He obviously really cared for them.He was brilliant with the children and this completely transformed our afternoon.This would have been 2 stars, but I cant stress how much of a difference this display made.

Lovely little place, enclosures were really well looked after. Animals where active and they had a good mix of talks on during the day. Its connected to a lovely big garden centre too.

Grandson and us thought it was great he loves the creature shed, the little chats on the animals were very interesting and not to long for the little ones, really enjoyable.

The animals here are kept in some of the best enclosures Ive seen at a zoo. Their enclosures should put other major zoos to shame - though some I would question whether they were large enough for the animal.Didnt get to meet many staff and the one that we did see didnt really try to interact with us. But they were busy cleaning the kangroo enclosure, so forgivable.The major downpart of this zoo is the cost. If I hadnt have gotten in with a deal I would have been very disappointed and would have given this place a 2 Star. However, as it were, I got everyone in for just £4 which was better than the full cost.The major issue for the cost is that the zoo is very small and only needs 30-45 minutes to see everything. Personally, I would have rather paid £3.50 to view the animals. Considering very close there was a collection of farm animals you can see for free in the garden centre, the value for money was poor.Also, I wouldnt travel to specifically go to the zoo.If you can get in on a deal and are in the area, I would really recommend it - otherwise, perhaps a more local option is better for you.

Its not worth the ticket, wasnt too many animal to see. We only spent 30mins, that is. And walk 2 mins there is a free farm much better than the "zoo". If you really want see animal go to paradise zoo!

Kids had great fun.

Perfect for the whole Family especially younger children, great to see the Kangaroos and Wallabies. The keepers were amazing and helpful, Well recommend a visit!!!!

The zoo is in a very nice place and also has very nice and friendly staff very cozy and has animals that I have never seen before in any other zoo, well done and hope to go back soon!

A wonderful interactive zoo featuring a nice variety of animals and lots of fun educational opportunities for adults and children to enjoy. The rangers are absolutely great. The fossa, red kangaroo and the UKs only Cuban hutia are great to see.

Perfect for younger children, the right amount of animals and you could tell they were all content and well looked after. The keepers were amazing and the animal showcase and feeding time were brilliant! Well reccommend a visit!!!!

Small but very well kept zoo ,free parking excellent staff and very interesting shows. Unusual animals . Will visit it again.

Visited during the school holidays - for a smaller site it was fantastic. Perfect for actually teaching your kids about animals and wildlife and habitats rather than just reading off the tiny signs you get in bigger zoos. Bargain for what you get, more interaction than youd expect - Ill be coming back!
