Great place to sit,relax and be entertained by the impresario owner who’s one minute playing the piano and the next minute serving drinks and keeping the whole shebang on the road,Great jazz classics and an intimate jazz club atmosphere make for a great night out!

Host and food wonderful despite their protests that they arent a resturant! Lovely night of music, would definitely go again

An excellent night out. You need to book in advanced but we only had to do it the day before. The host Federico was very welcoming and the music was amazing. Well worth the money. One of our best nights in Venice.

Loved this place! We went here lastnight and the music and service was phenomenal. The very talented pianist not only entertained guests but took drink orders, seated guests, bussed tables, and worked behind the bar, wow! I definitely recommend coming here!! Id recommend booking in advance since its small/intimate and sells out very quickly.

My wife and I had an amazing night here with outstanding musicians and great wine! Met some cool people during set break as well. I highly recommend this place!

Absolutely amazing evening! Thank you so much to the band and team! The jazz performance featured timeless classics from Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Bobby Timmons, Dave Brubeck, Irving Berlin and more. The staff are wonderful and a pleasure to speak to and the owners stage presence is very upbeat and funny. If you like jazz this is an evening to remember. Booking in advance is highly recommended as the venue fills up quickly.

fantastic location. The atmosphere is great. The owner and the personal are very caring. The music of the "house-band" has international quality. I would especially reccomend to have dinner. Dont forget to make a reservation beforehand

We had a wonderful evening. We were lucky too. There were two guests from Boston - a vocalist and trumpet player. The food was mediocre and maybe a little overpriced but we felt we were supporting something important. As big jazz fans from the UK we feel places like this are culturally crucial. Go to the Venice Jazz Club with an open mind and we believe you’ll have an enjoyable evening. Thanks to all staff and musicians x

This place was so cool!!! We are so glad we heard about it. The owner Fredrico was hospitable and an amazing musician!!! All of them were!

I wouldn’t normally complain online, I wanted to say something but the manager wasn’t available on the night.The worst food, overpriced, microwave pasta meal that they charge £10 for. The pasta was over cooked. I’ve seen in reviews the manager says they aren’t a restaurant… well they should be honest and say we serve microwaved meals. I informed the manager I was vegetarian, he said he would split the Sharing platter in half, one side vege one meat. The platter arrived with some rocket which had meat piled on top! A few bits of cheese and the smallest amount of a chutney/ jam. The place is overrun with mosquitoes, most other places we have visited are not.The manager who is also the pianist,Which I have no problem with seemed to assume we were all idiots and preferred to speak / lecture than to play, the other musicians were ok but really not particularly competent. I say this because if you pay £20 entry price there is an expectation that the music is going to be of a standard. My husband who was with me is a composer and accomplished musician. The decor is cheap, the staff are nonchalant I asked twice for water and ended up at the bar because I was so fed up of waiting.Overall I would not recommend this place and I would actually tell people to avoid it. We left after the 3 rd song and had to stop and get something to eat somewhere else as we were both still so hungry. The worst £80 I’ve ever spent! Sorry, it feels awful to leave such a scathing review I had high hopes, but this is just a real rip off.

Frederico was incredibly funny, great comic timing, and with table bookings it was an intimate atmosphere full of buzz. Loved this place, would recommend even if youre not a jazz fan, youll find something to enjoy here!

We sent email, follow up email, called several times to book, no one replied. Walked past so found it was open but no one bothered to reply.No idea how the place or music are but seems we weren’t welcome.

Such a fun experience. The music was excellent, the staff are friendly and cool, and the drinks are generous and fairly priced! Highly recommend for a special experience in Venice.

Do not recommend this place for anyone seeking tourist traps or overpriced pizza. Totally genuine jazz club with awesome music, cool people and atmosphere that you can’t find anywhere else in Venice. Anyone who claims opposite and doesn’t give this place 5* is either dumb or liar.

Average jazz. TERRIBLE Food. Honestly if youre going to make lasagne that bad, why make it at all? Just layers of pasta and cheese sauce with no meat in sight.Music was OK... not great but not terrible, but dont eat here

For an intimate evening of jazz classics played by musicians who clearly love their music, you cant beat a visit to the Venice Jazz Club. For 20 euros including free drink, you get 2 hours of Miles Davis, the Duke, Take 5, et al in one of the prettiest corners of this beautiful city.

Nice spot, great music, friendly staff. My wife and I had a blast listening to three talented musicians play some awesome jazz classics. Highly recommend this spot if in Venice.

A wonderful last night in Venice. A party of 3, in different age groups, we arrived early to eat before the show and had a great night overall. Food was simple but lovely fare. The service was friendly and attentive all night. The music was first class and very entertaining throughout with a great young guest musician joining the group from the audience tonight. Loved the whole experience. Thank you Francisco. We will come back when next in Venice.

It was my second visit to VJC and what do I have to say? Well, it was even better than last time! The band played with great inspiration and it`s a rare joy to see people, enjoying what they are doing.You know, I`ve never thought about Venice as a jazz city, before now. I love this city and try to go there as often as I can, and now I have one more reason why.And you don`t have to be good in jazz to love it! Just come here and enjoy the music with a glass of good wine. See you there!

Went here one night in October and it was honestly the best decision of my entire trip. I went on a latin jazz night and the music and vibes were amazing. The staff was so welcoming and warm, and the host (who also plays in the bandis so funny. Felt as if you were a part of a family. You wont regret it, literally cant go on about this place enough!

One of the best times of my life. I am definitely a jazz enthusiast and this place delivers. The owner which is the pianist, who is also the host, treats everyone like hes there for you and you only. I call him the Italian Harry Connick Jr. Always visit this jazz club when in Venice. You wont regret it!!!

This club is a labour of love. Federico (jazz piano and his quartet keeping the flame of jazz alive in this intimate venue. Capacity maybe 30 max. Not so cheap. But well worth it for the hospitable personal welcome and great music. If you dont like this, well then jazz is just not your thing.

Cozy, intimate, small, excellent food before the concert, clear concept, great music and atmosphere. The owner and head pianist Federico is the soul of the whole place. Highly recommended!

Great place! We enjoyed wonderful live jazz music. The band playing every evening besides Thursday and Sunday. The entrance cost 20 euro including 1 drink for free. Take the cheese plate, it is very tasty. The band starts to play at 21:00 for two hours. You can book place before, if you lucky you can try coming without booking. If you a fan of jazz, go to the Venice Jazz Club!

My wife and I found VJC from other bloggers and made a reservation for the Latin Jazz night. The service and vibe of this place was perfect. The music didn’t disappoint at all, the quartet was exceptional! I would recommend checking this place out when in Venice. Make sure you make a reservation as it’s very small and they can only accommodate like 15 tables. They do have food and you can do a 60 Euro deal for two concert tickets, food, and a bottle of wine. It was a very reasonable deal and worth every penny. Please note that they are not a restaurant so the food isn’t anything special, but they note that on their website.

Great place with fantastic atmosphere, live music - tremendous. We managed to get for the concert, which starts at 21 (we paid for tickets 20 Euro per person, 1 drink included). Absolutely amazing, fully recommended.

What a great option for night life in Venice! The 20 euro cover charge per person includes a free first drink (so order a mixed drink which is the priciest option at 10 euros). The jazz band comes on at 9pm and plays until just before they close at 11pm. They are musically entertaining and good at bantering. The gnocchi was not the best weve had in Italy, but still pretty darn good. The cheese plate is amazing! (Mostly mild cheeses). I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for some nightly entertainment.

20€ entry fee and came with the first drink free. Small cozy venue with a great atmosphere. We had a private table with great waitstaff and very close to the stage. They have a small menu but the food was tasty. They closed the doors once the show started which helped with the outside noise and traffic. If you enjoy jazz or music in general, I would highly recommend a visit. The band was fantastic and had a myriad of songs from all over. 10/10! Next time we are in Venice, we will be stopping by.

What a great show! I went on Latin Jazz night, which featured Brazilian and Cuban numbers executed beautifully. The music was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect. The drummer had a bottomless bag of percussion tricks that was so interesting. (Many different instruments, sounds, and rhythms.It was worth way more than the price! (Especially for Venice!)

The club owner plays the piano in the club regular band. The night we went a number of classic numbers were played. I thought good value when you throw in a free drink 20 euros to see live music of this quality for an hour and a half is a bargain.

Hidden Music Gem of Venice. Excellent Service & Food/Drinks!! The Music was so good it gave us CHILLS (Latin Jazz Night). $20 admission includes a tasty glass of wine, well worth the price. Liked the place, great jazz music, good prices, free wifi nice and funny hostess. 1st drink 20euro includes entry but its not something we didn t expected. Quite crowd listening to good music, nice and kozi. I recomend it for sure.

This place was amazing! Frederico is a excellent musician as is his quartet as a whole. He introduced each song right before he played them and had a great sense of humour. Its well worth the money and the drinks are great, good cocktails and wine. The atmosphere was great also. Id love to to back one day.
