Velvetti - European restaurant in Druskininkai, Lithuania
Visited the place 2 times per day😅. It worth it. We had eaten perfect delicious pumpkin cream soup and good pizza. 2nd time we ordered pork steak and chicken wings. It was not super as pumpkin soup, but also tasty and delicious. Anyway recommend the place. Also came here on breakfast: it was delicious dumplings, and fine kind of English breakfast. Coffee was cool.
Very rude waiters, false smiling just because I ordered one oyster. Got almost empty shell as a sign "dont come here for that". Absolutely don’t recommend!
It was ok, but nothing spectacular, and for the price I expected better. Slow cooked beef was good, but lacked vegetables. Escargot was good, arrived already shelled, served with an eggplant and tomato dipping sauces. Make sure to try their craft cola. Also, keep in mind that oysters are available only on the weekends - that was the major disappointment.
A disappointment. Not delicious at all. Pizza was very, very sour and the grill plate (jautienos-kiaulienos iešm?was microscopic and plain to taste :/
Tasry, but rather expensive
Extremely efficient service and delicious food! Our table was attended by a lovely Ukrainian girl. Despite the fact she didn’t speak Lithuanian, she did an amazing job in explaining the menu in multiple languages. Pizza was divine and food was served really fast.
Everything was perfect! Recommended
Velvetti - nice place in the center of Druskininkai city. Friendly and helpful staff. Tasty food.
Best Aperol spritz town. Super fast service. Prices above average. Delicious food.Went there everyday during our stay.
Family-owned restaurant, perfectly located in the heart of Druskininkai resort. They dry-age their steaks and lamb in-house, and have summer terrace with wood-fired pizza oven (the pizza menu is short but best in town). Delicious homemade bread and cozy desserts. Do try their herring starter, then go for cold soup. Menu is simple, robust but not stagnant. During cold season, beware of warming & really big and tasty osso bucco stew.
The waiters are friendly and helpful. The food is fine, but I wouldn’t say that it is “wow”.In generally the value for the price.
Great food: unique and tasty. Exelent selection of wines. Really good location.
Place, where staff love their work and enjoy it.Meals have perfect and unforgettable taste!
Super hot pizza and everything else.Fast service was super nice.
Small and cozy place. Had pizza, wine and beer. Food was ok, not best pizza in town, though. Pleasant and attentive staff. Reasonable prices.
Very tasty food made with high quality ingredients, vegetarian-friendly, fast and efficient service, beautiful food presentation. 5 stars, no doubt
Amazing small cozy vibe inside. A lot of tables are close together which creates a vibe that you are somewhere in the Alps. Great service, perfect pizza and great choice of wine!
Great place in the very heart of the town, with a real care for its customers (incl. measures of patrons protection against COVID). Tasty food (grilled duck breast was particularly savouryand drinks, served in an elegant way and in a nice environ. What else you might wish?... Just one thing: to be back again sometime...
Staff is absolutely fantastic.goes above and beyond to make their guest feel happy and comfortable. Food is fantastic, compliments to kitchen staff. Presentation of food is highest standard. Prices matches the quality of food served. Our waiter was young man( dont know his namebut owner should be very happy to have him as a team member. He has exceptional customer service skills, great knowledge of menu and drinks. Will definitely come back here and will recommend to my friends and family.
Best place to eat in Druskininkai, great food, fantastic presentation! Well done guys 👏
Very good service, right next to a childrens playground. Tasty pizzas, great cocktails, however, their interpretation of focaccia is.... interesting 😊
Prices too high for the food quality. Pizzas taste averige, with a hint of sauce and minimal topping
Good food, nice staff. A bit pricey, and we had our meals delivered one by one so the first ones to get it had to wait for the last ones. Otherwise a decent place to have a meal.
Wow, just wow. We saw the good reviews, and yet it still exceeded any expectations. Each meal we tried was beautiful and equally delicious! The price is very fair considering the quality. You might want to place a reservation in advance, there was a queue on a Friday evening. However, the wait for the dishes was not long for a fully packed place.
Excellent food, good service. Moved tables around so we could sit where we could see our daughter play on the play area opposite the restaurant. Would not find anywhere in uk doing this for customers. (Not literally)
Waitresses were super slow, even though the restaurant was completely empty we had to wait for at least 5min for them to notice us and give us a seat. Then, the food was below average. Starting with the mussels, which were not bad, however they should be served with fri sticks. Then, pizza. It was just baked in the oven and did not seem to be that bad, surprisingly it was the best dish we ate there! Sadly, confit was the worst! Taste was not balanced (sauces were: sweet onion chutney with some jam). The leg itself was clearly a couple days old, dry and cooked for at least a couple of times..
The place is fine, pizza and snails were really good. Staff is really friendly and helpful, always ready to advice which meal is more delicious. I am really going to have a lunch here again.
A slice of Napoli in Druskininskai!!Tasty pizza done with Napolitan expertise, great wines selection, dry age meat and good culinary know how...A must visit restaurant in Lithuania!
Our food came extremely fast and pizza is one of the best ones me and my boyfriend have ever had! Good coffee and efficient service. 5 stars, we will come back!
Food is fairly weak. Mussels dish had so much thick cream that was overwhelming all dish. Totally unbalanced dish. Trying to be wine oriented place but selection very weak and unbalanced. Seems like staff was trained with some fine dining service elements which is not necessary for simple place. And sometimes does things just because been told which makes no sense like on small table with many plates putting a plate with a cork and two plates with cutlery. A lot work needs for this place to improve in many areas.
Excellent foodThe best pizza everBread was so soft and tastyInexpensive and friendly serviceAtmosphere was lively and buzzing
Delicious food, just homemade Sea buckthorn lemonade tastes specifically (tea was good). I had beef heel that was very good - meat fell of the bone. In general - cosy and tidy place with good food and friendly staff. And they easyly sitted ten of us!! :)
Must try 😁. If you like Napoli Staritas pizza, here is the place to find comparable: creamy San Marzanos tomatoes pasta exceptional olive oil with a fresh cut grass nose and moderate polyphenols bitterness... Mmm... Tasty... Care Finca Garnacha 2014 vintage fills your palate with chocolate and black currant. Mus try
One of the worst meals in Druskininkai and the restaurant couldnt care less. Its been a while since I had such a disappointing meal. My husband ordered a pizza and it was okay. I ended up waiting another 10 minutes for my food to arrive. So when I started to eat my husband was nearly finished. Awkward. If the meal was worth the wait maybe I could put aside the long wait but unfortunately the meat I had was dry, tasted like it was cooked 2 days ago. The restaurant staff didnt bother to come up and ask us how was our meal even though it was very quiet (one of the many bad signs). Quite a few flies in the restaurant, weird wet dog smell (without there being any dogs). I told them my course was unedible and the waitress just shrugged and walked off. We had to pay for a meal I didnt finish. No one apologised for the wait or bad food. One of the worst dining experiences Ive ever had. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.From the reviews Ive realised that at some point they did nice food but not anymore. Most recent one are probably bought fake reviews. Go on, give this restaurant a try and order something other than pizza haha. What a disgrace and shame.
Nice food, a bit pricey by local standards. Frankly speaking I was expecting a bit more from one of the top30 restaurants in Lithuania. In any case, that’s definitely one of the best places to eat in town. The downside is that they are not open everyday. No breakfast are also available.
Firat off: there is a playground for kids next to the restaurant 😁.Food is very tasty, we ate 4 pizzas of the 4 cheese pizza. The dishes arent that big, but every dish is like a party :)Price is relatively high, but still worth it.Very recommended.
Perfect place to dine and have some local beverages ;)
Heaven for TastebudsHave you ever tried homemade buckthorn lemonade? Or pumpkin ice cream? I strongly suggest you discover these gourmet delicacies at this cozy Italian style bistrot. Ravioli with lamb or ricotta, oven baked dry aged "osso bucco", or the famous snack "Kiss" with ecological home made goat cheese, beetroot and caramelized apple... Awesome. Simply awesome. On Staturdays they open the restaurant too :See the restaurant menu in the photos.
I wanted to try this place last winter about the same time as it was highly recommended. Wasn’t lucky as the place was closed for holidays but I got the chance to go this winter and I have to say that it was a great experience for many reasons. First off the staff was very professional and pleasant. Second of all the menu was very good as I know that a small menu means fresh ingredients and quality of food. The wine selection was phenomenal, the variety is rich and complements the menu. Me and the wife were in between the ravioli, the osso buco and the pizzas which we ended up going with. I had the Diavolo and the wife had the Pizza “Joy”. Last time I ate the crust was in New York and Vancouver which are very well know for their pizza quality. Best pizza we had in years, fresh dough, crusty outside but soft and fluffy on the inside cooked to perfection. Lest alone the quality of the ingredients and the smart presentation with the wooden platter and cooking paper. I complemented the workers and was happy with the overall experience, sipping on our Primitivo red. At the night we went in, the owner had won that very same night the local award for best product. I think it was an award very well deserved. I am not trying to influence anyone but I think I am definitely coming back again and agaain. Thank you for the service and see you again soon
The best pizza ever! Seriously! Neither me nor my husband had this much good pizza for ages! Butterfly made nice crusty dough, beautiful engrediants. Small menu I always consider a good thing- fresh ingredients and a verry good know how. And this thing works for this place. Pizza is made in firewood oven so dont be surprised to smell some smoke- mskes the place do cozy. Personell extremely professional and polite. Some other places could learn ftom them. And a small detail - winners of product nomination in town in 2019. I really do believe they are worth it!
Food is surprisingly good. Don’t be fooled by the looks: this is no ordinary restaurant. Highly recommended from a gastronomy point of view.
You have to try herring snack. For a dessert! It is marvelous. Despite young looking, staff is excellent. Made our day
Great place with fresh ingredients as much 0 km of delivery as possible. Very subtile and modern tastes... in the bistro side - Pizza is the best in the country!
Unfortunately the one thing I wanted was not available. We ordered seabass ,hummus and a pizza plus a bottle of water. The water came in a warm bottle with warm glasses no ice. Then the pizza came 5 minutes before the other main. The hummus never came at all ???The staff seem very miserable and not interested.Prices not bad, location ok but a very average place.
Menu is quite small but it simplifies your choice. Didnt try main course but appetizers were great both in taste and visually. Worse to visit.
Great pizzas. Ordered them as take away, but they were not ready on time. Had to wait another 15 minutes on site. Pleasant service on site, but not so much over the phone.
Had the duck dinner, ate it so fast that I wasnt able to take a picture. Service great, menu great. Worthy of top 30 resturants in Lithuania.
Nice fresh pizza, beautiful flavour but not that special like the man on the next table tried to prove to his friends. It wasnt a miracle, get over it.Staff were nice, but there is always place for improvement. I am missing an actual conversation.
Waited 20 min to be approached by a waiter. When finally served food and drinks, the table was never cleaned and we never had a chance to reorder. Receiving out bill was another 30 min wait and observing neighbouring tables/ guests... well, it seemed like they had a similar - disappointing experience. The location of the pace is very convenient hence the popularity but otherwise not much to brag about.
Nice place with tasty italian food. However, reservation is recommended, because here is always crowded and noisy. So if you want quite place and fast food serving, this restaurant is not for you. But if you like tasty food and can wait some time, this place for you.
