Vegan for Longevity & Health - Vegan restaurant in Auckland, New Zealand
Tex Mex Burrito for life. Call ahead and save time.
I got a small Caesar salad and it was just enough. It hit the spot.
Spatially more uncomfortable than your everyday bodega or corner store. They have a wide variety of snacks and drinks, but you will pay premium prices for them.
I ordered a grilled cheese. Guy behind the counter barely acknowledged me "yeah my brother whatever you want"... I walk around to get a drink. I paid for everything and waited. 4 customers came in and ordered food, shopped around paid and left and Im still waiting patiently for my grilled cheese sandwich. They told me "the cheese has to melt". People came in there ordering grilled chicken and elaborate sandwiches. I was extremely patient until I saw the cook finally putting cheese on the bread that they said needed time to melt. These guys are lucky I had my family waiting in the car. I would have destroyed their whole store over this. I havent experienced anything like this in years. These are Muslim men. I cant believe they treated me like this in 2022. Ear ealayhim!
Stoped in for bagel sandwich and oj.
I live right up the street from this place and absolutely love it. This is my go to for a tasty, affordable and healthy meal. If I call it’s always ready in 15 min, everyone is really friendly and they also have a great selection of healthy snacks and packaged goods such as frozen meals, sauces and other grocery items.
Love the vegan food they have but i wish they could change the vegan options once in a while add something new
The turkey wrap and juice were solid. But when I order at midnight, Im not expecting food to come at almost 2 am, especially when the restaurant is just 3 miles away. I understand people are short staffed during covid, but then adjust the delivery time to 2 hours online, not 45 minutes, and tell me honestly it will be delayed. Whoever picked up the calls didnt seem to know what was going on with the delivery, and kept saying the guy was on the way. Someone finally took the initiative to call me back and tell me the guy is almost there with my food. Got my food, but could have just walked to somewhere nearby if I knew it would be so late. Wont be ordering from here again unfortunately, even though the food was good.
I asked for a two meat hero and they made me what They wanted.. too simple to mess up.
Ordered through Grubhub, and got a call about 5 mins later that two things I ordered were no longer on their menu so maybe call ahead to see what they actually have available. My order was delivered very quickly and packaged neatly but the Caesar salad I ordered was absolutely drenched in sauce and wasn’t so good. The desert was just okay.
Overpriced - got a large mocha for $6 and it was 85% oat milk.
Neighborhood store, loaded with just the right amount of eating foods and su h. A bit overcrowded with merchandise, and a tad bit on the pricey side - somewhat, at least. I wish they would sweep outside the perimeter of their store because it is, in fact, a bit dirty.
Very professional, courteous service late night & well-stocked bodega with indoor seating. Enjoyed the falafel wrap.
THEY ARE PRICE GAUGING. my tea went from 1.75 to 2.50 to 2.59 because of HONEY & I didn’t even taste the honey in my tea. what is brooklyn coming to?
Overpriced and I rather go to Whole Foods or Trader Joes. With so many ways to shop for food from online to many local options that offer better prices and inventory- this place is just not worth it to me. Not even in a pinch.
Awesome menu at great prices. Staff was super pleasant as well
Came here because they offered a good amount of vegan options, especially in the pastry section! Was extremely impressed. I tried one of the possibly coconut-topped vanilla filling donut, the peanut butter cookie, and the pecan cinammon roll, which were all delicious.
Oh my god finally place where I can get a burger with vegan condiments! I have been dying trying to avoid these restaurants where everything contains dairy. If it’s not cheese it’s an egg or milk batter and my skin just cannot. I have an allergic reaction to ALL things containing the smallest amount of dairy. It’s annoying ordering burgers saying no cheese or Mayo and still getting either or both. Can’t even imagine the frustration of constantly writing NO DAIRY PLEASE and being ignored by food preps. Didn’t have to alter my burger. Had cheese & mayonnaise (vegan of coursew fries that I couldn’t finish because they’re thick cut potato wedges. Followed by a delicious soft oatmeal raisin cookie. It was the best damn burger I’ve had and it’s 1am and I’m writing a review. This place was made for me I guess lol. :)
Great to see this new spot offer so many vegan sandwiches. And quite a few delicious vegan desserts (seemingly made by Vegan Treats). Go vegan NYC!
Very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Theyll delivery anything, and if its not on their Seamless menu (but you know its in the store), you can call them to add it to the order. Big vegan selection of foods, grocery items, and desserts.
I had a great experience here. The veggie burger and vegan brownies were delicious. It was super expensive, but my food was really good, and it’s always a struggle finding good vegan/vegetarian places so I definitely can’t complain given how much I enjoyed my food.
Food is okay, but I have been there twice now and no one working has been wearing a mask, including people who are preparing food.
A really nice selection of groceries (fresh, boxed, and frozenespecially diet specific food. The deli is pretty good, though sometimes it’s under seasoned. You’ll find a bakery case filled with various treats including gluten free and dairy free options. It’s a very clean space and the staff are extremely friendly.
Nice convenience store with ample vegan options in prepackaged items and fresh made offerings.
Excellent customer service and with the help of picasso his suggestions have been on point I started out getting bacon egg and cheese and now I have several other choices that I have tried and enjoyed
Mediocre at best, most things are pretty bland and flavorless. Some additional seasonings and spices would go a long way!
This place is fine. Just ok. The menu looked amazing so I called in an order and they told me ten minutes on the phone so I walked right over. I ended up standing around and waiting for almost 40 minutes. This is for 2 sandwiches and fries. Pretty disappointing off the bat. Then I get home and am even more disappointed. Both sandwiches are pretty bland, nothing to rave about. One of them was definitely not on Gluten free bread as requested so that was ruined. Id probably not order again which is a shame because it had so much potential. The staff was nice though.
The heart beet juice is the only saver of my order. It’s fresh, a little lemony but full of fibers. The kale & beets salad has too much vinegar and not fresh at all - quite the disappointment, the house sandwich which should be a panini bread but just a long roll of bread with a thin spread of ingredients and finally the bagels with scallion cream is actually cream cheese with dry scallion thrown into it. I’ll go back to Smith St bagels for my breakfast bagels and sandwiches so I have such disappointment early in the day.
This place is usually pretty good, but I got a straight up chicken salad sandwhich after ordering a vegan chicken salad sandwhich and it wasn’t easy figuring it out. The guy in the phone made it sound like he could easily tell with a picture. I said are you sure and he said oh yeah. Then he backtracked as soon as I sent the picture. I ended up getting it replaced, but I a had already eaten some before figuring it out. The excuse is new chef, people calling out. Shut it down if you can’t figure it out FFS!
I have been ordering from this place for over 3 years now. The service has gotten worse since the change over from Longevity. I was just basically told by the person at the cafe that I was liar after I called complaining about a wrong order. I specifically ordered a well done burger with bacon, ketchup, mustard and swiss cheese. I specifically left instructions of "crispy / well done bacon no tomato". The guy on the phone told me that the chef said he didn;t put tomatoes on the burger. They basically called me a liar and refused to come and get the food or give me a refund and told me I would need to complain to grubhub and hung up on me. This place used to be my go-to neighborhood place but after how I was just treated, I dont think I will ever order from them again. Terrible customer service experience and food experience.
Coffee needs some work, pastries are passable.
ZERO stars, but that is not an option. More expensive than Whole Foods! No prices labeled on the products. Charged one price when using Apple Pay. They canceled it when it was a credit card, and charged me more. I bought pasta sauce and a box of cookies. It came to $15.22. For real????? When I asked for a receipt, it wasnt itemized....of course.
Great selection of items and on the menu especially for vegans and vegetarians. The layout is very interesting, so make sure to explore every book and cranny as you will find really good kambucha, tea, ice cream, chips, etc...I didn’t give this place a solid 5 because the customer service was not the best and I’ll leave it at that.
Great salads and sandwiches. Salad ingredient options are vast and fresh. When in a rush, better to go there and order in person rather than use seamless/call for delivery or even pickup. Can be very slow at times.
Great place if you want to wait 30 minutes on an order or pay 8.99 for a quart of orange juice (wish I was making this up)
I love the chicken quesadillas it’s totally worth it went there and bought it for a week straight the groceries options are good too and there coffe is organic better then Starbucks and the staff are really nice
Vegan YUMMIES!!! Sweet staff - so worth it, we had to go two days in a row for breakfast. The vegan Tex-Mex burrito was too incredible - and the sandwitches?! - Out of this world 😍🤘
The staff is very nice, but there does not seem to be much of a system for placing orders, taking orders and paying. It is a bit of a chaotic ordering process. People with food allergies should be aware. Check your food before you eat and ask the person taking your order to read it back. Be extremly careful. For a place that advertises vegan options, they should be more attentive to people who have to be dairy free.
Got two vegan sandwiches both just tasted like they were covered in orange chicken sauce. Kinda gross
Great corner location with airy street views and open floor to ceiling windows. With just enough shade, from the trees that do grow in Brooklyn, youve got a great spot for authentic bagels, coffee (double espresso for me pleaseand whatever else you wanna concoct with the endless ingredients in front of you. They seem to be a bit short staffed for this Sunday before labor day but there isnt a crowd because I dont think everyone knows about this organically charged vegan and gluten free friendly spot yet. Lots of choices in their growing market and if you cant find what youre looking for in their drink selections then its because youre too finicky and unwilling to try something new. If thats the case then youre probably not reading beyond that.I say give this place a try because the service was excellent and attentive. Ill be back and especially when the lines at Toms, on the opposite corner of the block, are going around the block. #LetsGuide #Reco100 #RecoveringKnowItAll
the lighting above the main counter is so offensive, I cant even pass this deli without it hurting my eyes. The few times I have been able to enter Longevity (wearing sunglassesthe food was good! But please, that lighting has to go. I live around the corner and would like very much to visit Longevity and buy their food frequently.
Had a good Hamburger for breakfast. Very friendly people, especially the cook. Reliable wifi and reasonable prices (for New York).
Fresh juices and friendly staff. The smoothies were great!
I ordered a breakfast platter the eggs had no salt or pepper and the home fries they made had cayenne pepper they should ask if the customer wants that I couldnt eat it at all and I was already at work I wont be getting food from here their coffee taste like foamy cream it was bitter and it was more foam then coffee the only thing I liked was the toast and the fact the bread taste fresh and the yogurts are pretty good but for food they should ask if the person wants food spicey
I got a lox platter for breakfast. It was about $10-12. It tasted worse than diner food. The eggs were tasteless and bland. nothing was seasoned. Home fries are globs of overcooked potatoes and just NO. The only saving grace was a cashier. He was courteous, humorous, and service oriented. The food is a big no no. do not recommend.
At Longevity Picasso and Elsy and staff are awesome! The coffee is as good if not better than any fancy hipster spot and the food is delicious! I have not had a negative experience yet . I tend to work there when I dont have to be in the office and always enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. There is a steady flow of customers but its never loud and jarring - they play good but quiet music or recordings of birds! I love Longevity!
The food and coffee are great! I also love that their seating area is so spacious (they also have a really high ceiling!and that they keep their windows open. Makes me feel connected to the world even when looking at a screen. They have a great selection of organic/sustainable products, but theyre definitely overpriced. Overall, highly recommend!
THE. BEST. EVER. Hands-down. I just moved to the neighborhood and Im pumped that I found Longevity. Ive sampled a variety of their menu items, including desserts, and Ive always been blown away by the taste, high-quality ingredients, and service (big fan of the breakfast burrito, cheeseburger w/ sweet potato fries, brussel sprouts, any of the cakes, and coffee. Picasso and Yusef go out of their way to make sure that youre loving anything you order from Longevity and their positive attitudes are contagious! I highly recommend checking out Longevity.
Great place. Healthy snacks. Thr prepared food was very tasty & delicious. Went last friday, going again today. Cant wait to taste the homemade cakes.
I went there to get 2 sandwiches they didnt know what or how to make it. I repeated the order 4 times and only made one. After it was done the guy asked me in what bread I wanted it! He suppose to take everything out of the wrap and put it into the other bread. No sense of that. I took them 30 min to make one sandwich and it was a Sunday afternoon. Not busy at all!!
