Relaxed, eclectic cafe serving Italian & Korean fusion vegan fare such as pasta & kimchi.
Amazing vegan korean-Italian fusión soecializing in different types of kimchi. The couple who owns the place are very lovely and pleasant. Food was delicious! We had Topognocchi and Hemp sausage. The Teddy Pink beetroot & Clove drink was amazing! Recommend 100%. Will be back again 🥰
Sooooo gooood! Delicious and healthy kimchi-based food inspired by the Italian tradition. Spicy if you want it to be or mild if you prefer it that way; choose between 4 kinds of homemade kimchi and go from there. We had the burger (yum), the udon soup, and the oyster mushrooms (100% get them if you go!). Then the dark chocolate mochi (drooling…and the chocolate mousse. Will definitely come back. Thank you Min and Mauro, you were the best hosts!
Best vegan food Ive ever had in my entire life. Amazing service as well!! 100% recommend!
I really wanted to love this place! The owners are super sweet and have a great story. The concept is interesting. But the food was just not that good.We got the gnocchi and a sausage/tomato sauce dish and both just felt like an assault of random strong flavors that didn’t really compliment each other well topped with a lot of salt. Italian Korean fusion sounds like it’d taste strange and… it did.The kimchi we got when we sat down was delicious though! Maybe some of the other more straightforward dishes would be better.
This was just what we needed! London has vegan options, but we were struggling to find things that were vegan and healthy. The food was unique, delicious and nourishing. Chef Mauro is an absolute delight. Thank you!
Went here for a spontaneous meal as the ‘Italian Korean fusion’ signs intrigued us. So glad that we chose this place! The best vegan meal I’ve had in the UK so far in my travels, will definitely be coming here again next time I’m in London. The kimchi is out of this world delicious, we even had a kimchi margarita which was unexpectedly amazing! The staff are lovely and friendly and accomodating too, this place is truly a home run.
Can you rate higher than 5*?Visiting Vegan Yes is an experience, not just dining. From the greeting, the kimchi samples, the menu (just wait until you see the drinks!), everything is outstanding.Ill certainly visit again and next time bring friends!
Me and my boyfriend were on our way to another place, when we noticed the Vegan Yes sign, and decided to try it. Mauro and Min warmly welcomed us, told us about the place, the food and their story as we were curious to hear about it. The food was very good, homey and tasteful. Ive ordered the gnocchi with mushrooms and sea weed, which was extremely accurate with all the flavours. Also the Daiquiri was as wonderful as Mauros moustache ❤️
If you love Kimchi, you must check this place out! We got the kimchi bibimbap and udon soup, both incredible! The couple who run the restaurant are very friendly and generous.
Excellent service, top quality food, this place is unbeatable if you fancy some extremely healthy food, I am not vegan… just trying to make healthy choices.I had a mix of the kimchi bibimbap (deliciousand the kimchi negroni cocktail, all marvellousThe owners are lovely ❤️
Amazing place! Amazing food! Wonderful owners! If I could I un-eat my kimchi burger, I would eat it again 👍 super tasty, and everything is done from scratch.Hemp tea is beautiful 🤩
Amazing food, service and cocktails (with kimchi??!)! All so healthy and personal. I loved hearing Mauro and Dr Min’s story and feeling their passion for what they do.
I ordered the kimchi burger based on other reviews and I took one bite and threw the rest out. The purple sauce was sour and that’s not the flavour profile I want when eating a burger. The inaris had so much oil in it that you wouldn’t pick it up without falling apart. I did enjoy the sweet potato and seaweed dish.Overall, I thought the food was overpriced and not well prepared.
I stopped here for lunch, I just luv finding places that are fully vegan. I took the Toppognocchi, the dark chocolate Mochi and the butterfly pea Flower kombucha. The food was beautifully presented, the fusion dish was delicious with great long cooked tomato sauce and the olive oil that was superb. The mochi was stretchy with sweet red bean paste inside and the drink was great and also good for your tummy digestions. The service was lovely and kind and very thoughtful if you ask for your dish not to be spicy since its made on the spot.
Really delicious, unusual flavours and clean ingredients, no refined oils, no processed sugar, no fake foods, no preservatives, and oil-free cooking (any oil added raw after it’s made).Chef Mauro & Dr.Min have studied nutrition collectively for more than 31 years and create their dishes based on their health and cooking knowledge. Everything was delicious. The kimchi here is different than any you have tried. I’ll be back!I had the sushi burger, mushroom gnocchi, and chocolate potato dessert plus chocolate mochi.
We got the kimchi lasagne and the toppognocchi which were lovely! The olive oil is just insanely good.We also had the chocolate potato for dessert and I would definitely recommend to share 👀Chef Mauro is so lovely and the unique takes on kimchi are fantastic!
A really cute lunch date with my partner, chatting with the owners about their history and love for Italian and Korean fusion food. The owners are incredibly friendly and informative and I am so glad to have found a new favourite spot to eat. Their love for food definitely shines through the dishes and their 4 types of homemade Kimchi is just phenomenal!!!!
Amazing vegan food place, probably my favourite one in London! The owners were very welcoming and service was great. I love that all their food is centered around a balanced gut, they integrate homemade kimchi into a lot of the dishes and don’t use any refined sugar or preservatives. The dishes are so creative and honestly could belong in a fine dining restaurant. I will definitely come back here often.
Thrilling adventure the from the first moment that door was passed.Seeing as the main title was "Vegan" I wasnt aware that this place is so heavily themed about kimchi, so when I was asked about if I like kimchi, I answered that Im not a fan of it, I could just heard a sinister laugh of Italian chef, which made me think "probably thats not the right answer in this place".The owners are the best (being a good laugh and patient with their customers). Didnt give me any mean comments about what Ive said, prepared a plate of kimchi samples, so to know with which ones to prepare meals. And meals were marvelous. This Italian-Korean fusion was something really refreshing and flavours were totally different from what I was used to when trying kimchi in other places. Still they change the flavour of dishes but didnt overpower them. And they even have few different kinds of homemade kambocha. Clearly a most try for all fans of it.Highly recommend if you want to try something new and want to get both type of cuisine finest on one plate.
With a very welcoming atmosphere and speedy service, this was a great decision for a Saturday night. The offer is innovative from start to finish, with usual winks to traditional Italian cuisine. There is also a honest interest in gut health, with the kombucha and help tea.
Korean inspired vegan food, tasty dishes and 4different types of kimchi to choose from! Lovely selection including a sushi burger which was a banger! Its averagely priced for the area, speedy service, the place is tiny, great for casual dinner, would recommend
Look, it is one of those rare places on earth were some sort of magic is in the air. The food is a god send and the hosts are second to none. God bless and please kept it running for many more years to come.
Unique. Delicious. I had the tempeh. It was flavorful and filling. I like that you get to try a small sample of all the kimchi flavors before deciding which one goes with your entree. The staff was really friendly. The ginger infusion was really good too. Would love to eat here again.
Amazing food and service! I loved the Italian-Korean fusion. The chocolate potato dessert was out of this world!!! Ill definitely come back :)
Ok listen - they do it All by themselves. Get ready to have something you wouldnt find anywhere else. So tasty. Highly recommended.
The most amazing mohito Ive ever had. You can taste the love in the food too. Made me emotional it was so good!!
Absolutely delicious, unique gem! As a vegan eater for more than 10 years, I’m so grateful I found this little gem on my recent trip to London. The creativity and artistry that went into the “kimchi sushi burger” I got was mind-blowing. Wonderful owners, full of passion for kimchi, vegan food and family. Can’t wait to try more!
Excellent lunch - unusual and delicious. Limited seating but such warm hospitality and delicious food. Can’t wait to visit again.
Lovely restaurant combining Korean and Italian food! The 2 owners are very welcoming and great cooks, I would recommend to everyone (vegan or not)!
Had a lovely time ! I ate there alone at night, after walking past the shop many times and finally deciding to stop by. I wasnt disappointed! I tried the sushi burger with Violetta kimchi, which was delicious. The owners are both very lovely, cant wait to try their kimchi recipes at home !
An absolute gem in the middle of Brick Lane 💎 with some of the best vegan dishes Ive ever had!We ordered the lasagna, the kimchi burger, and the mushroom gnocchi which blew us away! Each dish was unique and special in its own way. The Korean/Italian fusion was well executed and the kimchi infusions to the classic Italian dishes were something I had never tasted before.A must try for lovers of both meat and vegan dishes! 🍔🌱
Amazing food and explanation about Kimchi, we even got sample to try! The husband and wife owners are super nice and made us feel very welcome. The food was really tasty and the home made kombucha was great too
Honestly, the best little vegan place in London. The owners are the kindest people, always welcoming me with warm smiles. I have eaten here several times as it is a couple minutes away from my office and the food & service was always incredible. It is worth trying every single item on the menu and all worth the price. I even bought Mauro’s cookbook & made kimchi at home that turned out amazing!!
Sounds like a strange fusion at first but when we tried a dish or two it was incredibly amazing. A fusion of Italian-Korean vegan, we were hooked at first bite. I highly recommend the kimchi lasagne as the first dish. Could eat the spinach sides alone, and the kimchi had just the right amount of spice. The service was excellent and the chef was personable and entertaining. Highly recommended and would go again.
Just amazing- such great vegan food with a great concept of Korean and Italian. And wonderful people. Must go!! Get the chocolate gnocchi :)
The pictures honestly don’t do any justice to how amazing the food is here! This place is being run by the most wonderful, humble and polite couple, who will make sure you feel at home. The most homely vibes, brilliant home-cooking styled food and loads of positivity. That’s what you get for being here.Definitely recommend this small and cosy corner for brilliantly addictive dark chocolate mochi and kimchi.
Extremely poor service.I have been here six times and on my last visit the service was so bad that Ive decided not to go back. The lady was clearly unhappy and rude when we ordered only three items. She also had a problem when we asked for extra plates and cutlery. The owner/chef even charged a service fees without even informing us. We always leave a tip or pay the service charge but then the service needs to be at least decent if not superb. Plus, he insisted on taking cash, repeatedly! We carry a negligible amount as contactless is preferred everywhere since the start of the pandemic. As for the food, it is average. Portions are small and food is over priced. The only reason Ive been here is that I couldnt find something healthy to eat on Brick Lane. With so many vegans options in London, I will advice against eating here.
The food was unbelievably tasty, I wiped my entire plate clean! The different kimchis the chef has developed were super interesting and I loved all four. The kombucha was lovely too, I think homemade. And the dessert was lush. The welcome was friendly and homely. I ate there alone and felt very comfortable there. Its so good to find interesting vegan food! So glad I stopped by. I really recommend everyone bobs in and tries the food!
Had a lovely Kimchi Rice dish and partner had Udon Kimchi, both brilliant and tasty! Even the Kimchi cocktail was a fun and lovely taste! Brilliant place to eat, small but very atmospheric space, amazing!
Absolutely loved our meal at this restaurant. We had the kimchi burger and the toppagnochi (pasta with a twist on the flavour sauceand the chocolate mochi for dessert. Each dish had such incredible flavours and the service was sooo good, explaining each component and giving recommendations. We are v excited to return for the chocolate gnocchi dessert!
A hidden gem! Nestled between endless Bengali curry houses is this charming family-run oasis of Italian / Korean fusion cuisine.Chef Mauro and Dr. Min are delightful hosts who take great pleasure in preparing and serving novel vegan dishes that are delicious, healthy and generously priced. At the heart of the menu is Kimchi, a salted and fermented cabbage dish which is unusually combined with traditional Italian dishes such as lasagne and gnocchi. Whether you’re just after one of their specially brewed kombucha drinks or would rather indulge in a sit down meal, Yes Vegan is a premier destination for the plant-based foodie.
Absolutely delicious! Warm and friendly atmosphere. Will definitely return, and try some of the recipes myself from Chef Mauros book!
What a fantastic place to eat and share. The owners create such a warm environment and thier combined knowledge has wonderfully developed an incredible menu of healthy, delicious and inspiring food. I also bought thier recipe book and create my own amazing fusion food at home. Highly reccomended
Amazing food from an amazing family owned business. They feed you, they nurture you, they educate you and they are interested in you as a person which is really beautiful and rare in many businesses today. They fuse together their cultures (Italian and Koreanso elegantly and so well. Inside the store you can find food and also educational photos and reasons why they have come together for themselves and for others. My favourite dishes are the Mushroom Gnocchi, Kimchi platter with different kimchi variations; the taste most prominent to you can tell you about your present emotion. The Kimbap, kimchi burgers and interesting drink mixes will leave you in awe too.Enjoy 😊 ❤️🙏🏽
An interesting, Korean twist to popular dishes like lasagna, gnocchi, burgers, sausages thats worth trying! The owners are very welcoming and friendly. The place is small, cozy with a personal touch. Well definitely visit it again but probably during off-peak hours.
if you are looking for a unique, one-of-a-kind, delicious experience, this is your place. Holy yum in my mouth, we ended up in this restaurant by chance and honestly, it’s now my favorite place. Even if you’re not vegan, this restaurant will change your life. I wish I could review this place like 18 thousand times, the restaurant owners are a couple who obviously puts a lot of care into their food and the overall customer experience. If you want to impress your friends, this is the place. Okay, I’ll stop raving now :Just GO
Lovely and warm welcome at Vegan Yes by the owners who took the time to explain their menu and give samples of the different kimchi they make. I had the kimchi bibimbap bowl which was absolutely delicious. I can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu!
Wow, wow and wow again. Loved it, was a pleasure meeting with Mauro and his wonderful family to eat in this cosy place with such richly-flavoured recipes. If youre a kimchi lover, youll be satisfied here. If youre not a kimchi lover, youre going to become one!
One of the best things Ive ever experienced. Enjoyed every minute from start to finish. My first time trying kimchi and it was absolutely incredible! The owners are some of the nicest people I have ever met, I feel truly blessed. Thank you so much Chef Mauro & Dr Min, we cannot wait to return!
Kimchi lovers, this is your spot! Very innovative vegan fusion of Korean and Italian cuisine with many original options on the menu, kombucha, kimchi cocktails and good Italian wine. The owners are mad about kimchi and they indeed prepare it very well. The owner happily explains the concept, suggests the dishes and just tries to make it the best food experience. I only didnt like the multiple attempts of trying to sell me the owners book. It would be enough to just let me know once. The place has a couple of tables inside and outside. The food was tasty. We had the kimchi tasting plate, kimchi lasagna, Korean gnocchi, wine and dessert mochi (probably the best I have ever tried, so make sure you dont miss it. Apparently the lasagna is the one of the most popular dishes. I liked the flavour but it lacked some sauce like bechamel. It was a bit more dry than I expected, although full of kimchi so if that is what you like you wont regret trying this dish. The portions are decent size, the price for the food and drink was more less 20£ per person but if you take cocktails instead that would raise respectively. You can check their menu online but the owner constantly introduces some seasonal dishes so there might be more options inside. This place certainly deserves 5 stars and I would recommend trying it our as its an unique experience.
