Vashishtha Temple - Hindu temple in Manali, India
Its an old Temple( Bhagban Vashishtaand a site to see in Manali. Most of the cab can reach almost close to the temple ( 20/50 metre away the car will drop you ). Besides visiting the temple one can have a relux time in adjacent hot spring. You can also taste various juice, drinks, tea and coffee on the both sides of the way to the temple..
Beautiful temple. Great work on what looks like wooden carvings. A natural hot water pool is also there inside the temple compound where you can take a bath before offering your prayers. Small local shops also located near the temple. Must visit if you are around Manali/Bahang.
The main temple was under construction when i visited the place. Hike is about 1.5 kms from main road. One thing that was open was men and womens bath. You can try it if you want, just have to bring a change of clothes.Dont know about the womens one but mens bathing space had a small hot spring and many taps.Good place to visit because of its unique history. It has the hot spring right next to it but wouldn’t recommend dipping in it for hygiene reasons. Locals dip in the hot spring everyday but take your own call. The temple has great architecture and design. Good serene temple where you can even sit down and mediate/pray if you like.🙏🙏
Visited during monsoon, it was very blissful weather. The temple stands at this peaceful location away from the chaos of cities and traffic. Even the shopkeepers dont force or call out to buy from their shop like other markets. Kullad chai here in monsoon......best moment you will have to remember.
Vasishtha temple is very beautiful. It has a really great architecture. If you visiting Manali it should be in your bucket list.
One of the best place i visit during my Manali trip.Guru Vashishtha temple with hot water spring.Definitely try the bath in natural hot water there.Amazing place with natural beauty.

Also behind this there is a small trek for Jogini falls which is must visit if you are here. You will definitely love the path to the trek and some beautiful ladies selling hand woven gloves, caps, etc and also fresh plucked fruits, apples and plums.
There are three temples here - Ram, Shiva and Vashisht. A lot of the exterior seems to have been renovated with some of the original work intact on the back side. The kund(hot springis separately built for men and women.
Vashisht temple is prominently known for its wooden architecture and one of its unique type. Must visit this place if you are in Manali. It is said that having bath in this spring cures skin diseases. You can take a bath here. There is separate ladies and gents section for the same. You need to walk more than 1km from parking area in order to reach the temple. This temple has small corridor and many times public rush is very heavy. Self discipline must be developed by public in such instances.

This place is located 10 minutes away from our hotel. Famous for hot water spring. Lots of people come here to take a bath in that hot water spring. Its good for your health. This temple is a historical place actually. We met a monk who came here from Thailand.
Historic temple after an uphill drive or climb in Vashisth area. Crowded from 10 am til 5 pm. Temple is closed between 2&3 pm.There are separate bathing areas for men and women in hot springs.Bathing tub water is very hot and the kund is small and not very clean to be honest. No changing area so if you plan to bathe there, make sure to carry a big towel and change standing on the side of kund. There are hot water taps where you can wash your hand and feet if you wish.Saw some people wash their clothes their which is against the rules offcourse however they do not pay heed even if you point out the placard that advises them against misusing the facilities.Just outside the Ladies entrace is a shoe rack area. Where you can keep the shoes against a token and a nominal fee.Next to Vashisht temple, you would find a shiv mandir and a little up the steps there is an ancient Ram Mandir which is also beautiful in architecture. Do visit the backside of the ram mandir to see the original stone carvings.
It was soo good. The temple is actually 5000 yr old but it has been recently renovated and rebuilt beautifully. It is temple of great ancient Hindu sage Vashishth who was the GURU of Lord Rama. The premises also has Ram temple and Hanuman temple. The hot water springs here are natural and caused due to sulphur laden water from Himalayas. The holy dip kund is separate for both male and females. The temple is situated on the hill, so quite a hilly road from the main road. The Auto Rickshaw will cost 400 from mall road and a cab will cost around 500 to 600. The the temple is totally worth visiting.

Beautiful and ancient temple located in the Vashisht village in kullu Manali. Temple is very well maintained and has a historic natural hot water spring. People can take bath in the holy hot water spring; there is different allocated section for men and women. But the place is quite commercialised and you will find very high parking fees if you want to park (only two wheelernear the temple. Four wheelers have to park around 600-800 mtr down the way. The road to the temple is quite narrow and high altitude one.
If you are coming on your own vehicle park your vehicle near temple as there are many parking places which are 1km from temple and road is very steep. I visited in April month during weekdays and place is less crowded so I park my car roadside. Temple is very ancient. There is a Shiv temple and Ram temple also. Jai shree ram🕉️🙏
Usually a crowded tourist destination. Popular for the known architectural work over wood and stones. Won’t regret anything after visiting this place. Never miss out to visit the Hot Spring Pool. No tickets or anything to enter or to visit. Great lovely people around. 🙂
This temple is on steep road so drive carefully and try to park in the lower parking because the upper parking is generally full and then it becomes hard to turn the car around on a steep road. The temple is 400-500 mtrs. away from the lower parking.

Taking mall road as a base location, you would need to walk nearly 4km to reach this location. Good place, avoid peak hours, try to visit early morning. As it is situated on a hill, you might feel tired. People with health issues should be careful, get a taxi or auto. Near to jogini waterfall. While you are hiking, do not forget to enjoy the scenic views
Temple was built beautifully. Also check hot spring. On way up you will see good scenic beauty. During april rush was less
Love with that place, the temple of Vashisth Rishi. Wooden structure and you will get hot spring as well. Men and women both have the seperate area for bath. It is arround 3-4 km from Manali. So, must enjoy the hot spring. The thing which i didnt like, the person deployed for taking care of you shoes asked 10 rs to keep the shoes so i dont know whether he is asking legally or the amount going directly into his pocket. Two wheelers and four wheelers can easily go there. Parking facility are there but prices are bit High.
Nicely carved temple which has a place in mythology. There are hot water springs and the water there was so hot for me that I could just dip my feet for two or three seconds while the local kids were bathing there. There is a problem of parking our vehicle as the parking is limited and it’s paid parking.

The very ancient Vashisht temple is in old Manali, about 6 Kms from Manali. It is a calm village presently busy with many shops selling mostly pure wool clothes and beautiful cafesVashisht was named after Rishi Vashisht one of the seven sages of Hindu. Legend has it that the saddened Rishi Vashisht after learning that his children were killed by Vishwamitra tried to commit suicide. But the river refused to kill him. The river was therefore named as Vipasha which literally means ‘freedom from bondage’. It was later shortened to Beas River. He began mediating and vowed to start his life anew. The Vashisht temple which exists even today is believed to be more than 4000 years. There’s also another ancient stone temple known as Rama Temple adjacent to the Vashisht Temple. Vashisht village is an important Hindu Pilgrimage centre.Vashisht offers an excellent view of the Beas River and the Old Manali. The river valley spread below at sunset gives and excellent sight and great for Photography.Hot water springs are part of the temple area.
