This Hindu temple located in Westhill.This is one of oldest temple in Kozhikode.As per myth this temple is started by Parasuraman.Now this temple is under the Varakkal devaswam board controlled by Kozhikode samoothiri. Recently renovated this temple. Main diety is Devi (varakkal Amma).Lord Ayyappa, Naga dedication is also here.This temple located on top of a small hight so you had to climb few steps. Navaratri Pooja time is one of main festival here.

Staff at the counter was very helpful. The temple is at a height and one need to climb about 20 steps to reach there. For men shirt, banyan etc are not allowed, but pants are allowed. Visited at around 7 am and surroundings were very calm and quiet at that time.

Varakkal Devi Temple is one of the famous Devi temples in  Kozhikode Dt of Kerala. The main deity of the temple is Durga Devi (Bhagawathy). The temple also has sub deities of Ganapati, Dakshinamoorthy and Sree Ayyappan.The main festival of the temple is Vavu Bali, devotees gather in large numbers for Thulam Vavu for performing Bali Tharpanam on varkkal beach.
