Vapiano Baku in Baku

First they forced us eat something which we didnt order & once we didnt oblige, they gave us salty pasta. Worst pasta ever.

Ok at best. After hearing lots of hype about Vapiano I went to test it out. Yes the prices are high for self service, yes the portions are large, yes despite being self service somehow the same issues you have all over Baku exist in this restaurant (order something and it never comes because you never ordered it, be told something you want is out of stock and then see the table next to you get it, order 1 of item A, 2 of item B and you get 2 of item A and no item B etc etc). The dining room aesthetic looks high end and I like the idea of the open kitchen in the back, but since most of it is backless high top stools it is not a very comfortable environment. You won’t be spending a lot of time seated anyways since you will be up running your food. I enjoyed the oil/vinegar available at every table although the lamp/basket built-in is very obstructive to a conversational or intimate dining experience as you have a lamp at eye level and a physical barrier dividing the table. The food itself is a B-, there is lots of cheese involved as you would expect but the flavor just seems lacking, nothing particularly noteworthy. I can see how this would be a fun luxury experience for Bakuvians but I am ambivalent towards recommending it and if I come back it will be for a quick lunch not anything where I am trying to enjoy my company.

We have vegiterain food and it was great you must try the risotto there. It was awesome. Only self service.

I was stunned beyond belief! The drinks were awful, and the food was essentially flavorless.My friend and I went there, and I ordered Sangria while he ordered all cherry drinks (virgin cocktail). In essence, my drink tasted more like water than wine, whereas his, which cost between ₼8 and ₼12, was merely Sandora Cherry. We anticipated that the Caesars we ordered would be the best Caesars ever, but NO! On the contrary, it was the worst! The garlic bread had almost no garlic taste and had tiny Parmesan cheese in it. BBQ pizza was okey, but not that special.We had: Sangria(alcohol), All cherry (virgin cocktail), garlic bread, BBQ chicken pizza and Caesars salad (+ chicken= 60₼

The food is tasty, fresh and overall of suberb quality. The portions are generous too.The only complaint I have - out of two pasta dishes, one had slightly undercooked pasta, which undermined otherwise great experience.For a local scene, the prices are a bit upper scale but the food quality is well worth it.

Great ambience, nice food, affordable place in Baku

Been to vapiano restaurants around the world and sad to say this is the worst experience ever at vapiono. To start with almost 3 orders are wrong and when asked for the manager no one spoke English. The manager kept blaming us for irrelevant things such as a broken card to charge us with extra charge. The food didn’t have any taste and when asked for the meal to be changed still had issue with the manager.

New truffle pasta is amazing! Recommended 👍🏻

The pizza taste good as we requested with our customize topping but the chicken taste not cooked that much well. We ordered Ravioli it taste so amazing aswell. Recommended restaurant for people who love Italian food

I dont generally like chains, especially abroad but I have to admit, that the food is good and unlike most places in Baku they have a large selection of vegetarian food also. Its also really cheap, especially compared to the other Western chains around

Atmosphere and decoration is nice, but food isnt ever delicious, its awful, I and my gf ordered pasta and we ate like just 20 grams of it then we left the restaurant.

Excellent place! Every time I cross the door of a Vapiano, I know that the food will be fresh and good and so was it in Baku! We had two meals there and both time were nice! The place is clean and the staff and waiters were very kind and attentive to us, which made our time there even better. If you do not know Vapiano and want to eat good Italian food, this is the place to go! ;-)

Good if you crave for western food. Atmosphere is relaxed. Prices are okay for the food.

Based on my good experiences with Vapiano in Germany I went here in Baku to this restaurant. But the behaviour is totally different .... the restaurant is empty but the cooks are very busy. I was the only guest, but the cook told me, that he needs 15 min for the pasta. I asked him "why" the restaurant is empty ... he told me, he is busy .... strange ...

Good beer and food. For some reason they decided that instead of a talented local singer they need a Puerto Rican (I think!guy who was, honestly, terrible. On top of that the stereo system was either low quality or badly tuned or both. Either way we couldn’t wait for him to finish singing. Our experience got a lot better once he was gone.Salsa music is not a suitable idea for an Italian restaurant in Baku.Staff was nice but the tables are awkward with Abbie divider in the middle which makes it hard to put a tray of food in the middle of the table.

Simple Italian food with lots of customization options. Very reasonable prices. It is self service and the food gets made very quickly.

The pasta chef on duty didn’t respect my order. I was told that food will be ready in 20mins and at the end of 20 mins, I was told to come after 5mins. Again after 5mins; I was told to come after 5mins. The chef over promised and couldn’t not deliver the food. Kept on giving me a false promise. I have to cancel the order and leave the place empty stomach. I told the manager about the incident. The manager should coach the chefs on the service aspect of the business as well.

Fast efficient service and nice Italian dishes. Friendly atmosphere. Interesting approach with ordering self service. Tomato soup, Caesar salad and bruschetta are really good.

Very cozy place with a good food however i would appreciate If I got some instruction upon arrival. I waited for 20 minutes for a table service and then was wondering around trying to figure out how to order. I would say a bit pricy for self service place.

The idea of self service in a high cost restaurant is not very appealing. Combine it with just okay food taste makes it a very overpriced option.

A great choice for having Italian style foods and have a good moments here. Its unique in the way of having the bills by card so each person would order by card and its so user friendly.

As in all of their restaurants the quality of super high and everything is made to order. Menus are in English and food is delicious but can be on the higher side in terms of pricing but other than that I think you can get the best salad in Baku here.

I have been to vapiano before and like always the service is second to none! I had pasta with mushrooms and a glass of red wine. I just want to stay here and listen to music, eat, sleep and repeat. I love this place no matter what country I am in. thank you!

Vapianos feels like a great combination of a fast food dining experience combined with a real restaurant ambience. The food is fresh and always tasty. The pizzas are nice and thin and the menu changes regularly. Pasta and salads are always fresh. It’s a nice and easy dining experience with great staff and a good atmosphere.

The Chefs they dont understand the way of Vapiano.. when you order the food they said ok come after 5 minutes.. no, they have to cooking front of me. Thats the way of vapiano.. I dont like the way of dealing.

I didnt like lazagna they made. Overbaked. Internet connection is poor. To leave this review i had to connect through neighboring Mado. Not recommended.

The "fast casual" chain restaraunt that serves popular italian food (mostly pizza/pasta). The food is very tasty, prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is great.

I have been to this cafeteria several times with my family. Love the atmosphere and the food very much. Pastas are just great. They have special kids menu as well. Food is prepared quickly enough. There is a parking lot available right next to the entrance.
