Vapiano in Charlottenburg-Nord

Nice interiors and atmosphere. Had a nice experience last year so I decided to came back and reordered the same food. The quality/price of the food got worst since the last time (little over 1 year ago). My Pinsa wasn’t far away from a ready made one and the gluten free pizza was served raw inside. The “self service only” system doesn’t let you pay while you order and the customer service it’s almost non existent since there was only one poor guy handling payments and welcoming the customers. The Over all experience felt more like a mc Donald than a restaurant and 28€ for 2 small pizzas and a coke(all picked up by your selfit’s very disappointing.

Its a nice place but the service could be improved as ordering can take a long time.

The food was really good, the ordering process is through a touchscreen but the English version was not always easy to understand and I had to "hunt down" someone to help me. One example was the water options not saying which is still and which is bubbly. Overall though it was a good time.

Food took forever. Was running out of time. Also the new concept is a step backwards. The pinsa is not recommendable.

Good food nice experience no waiter service its touch screen ordering and a key pad buzzes when to pick the food up from counter so easy to do happy customer 😊😊😊

This is one of the best places cost-quality ratio. This particular location is quite stylish and the food was very good. We had pizza and lasagna and together with some drinks we paid around 35 euros.

The food is not delicious, we ordered 3 dishes of pasta, two chicken alfredo and one caprese , all three were below average. They use egg yolk in their dishes, so the ones that had it you could smell it. The olive oil and balsamic vinegar are not so good.staff is friendly but not very hygienic, they touched the bread of two of the three orders with bare hands. And the dish from the inside as well. The glasses for drinks smelled bad! Sadly!! The prices are affordable and the delivery is ofcourse fast. I wouldn’t really dine there again. I give a 4/10 just for the nice setting atmosphere and location

We ordered 2 pizzas there. Quality was ok but the ambience is good.

This place is different from traditional restaurant style. You go up and order your food, the food is cooked in front of you and then you take your order to your table. Everything gets scanned on your card, and then you pay when you are done. The food is usually decent.

Interesting and it reduces how often you pay for things if you place multiple orders ... but also a challenge.You order food from a self-service kiosk. A flaky kiosk with software- and emotional issues. It could be better, faster, smoother, more user-friendly.Drinks, you order elserwhere. From a human who is taking orders and preparing the drinks. Pay for whatever you put on your card when you leave.The system gives you bottlenecks ataflaky food ordering machinebthen bottleneck when you order drinkscand yet another bottleneck when you leave the storeI like breaking traditional processes to improve them. This feels like the store owner wants to avoid that the employees handle cash. Maybe you can save a few servers in the restaurant also. But customer experience definitely suffers.It was great trying the concept, but I am not coming back. Way too much effort to get a plate of pasta.My food was, by the way, not cooked well. Very poor service! There is this waiter standing at the counter and he was yelling at us for no reason! He said to us you need to say hello and be polite blah blah blah. Like we only just entered the building and were puzzled since it was our first time in Vapiano. lol we lost our appetite and we left the restaurant.

The worst!Bad food, bad atmosphere, very loud like you are on kids playground but the most important the cold, sticky pasta with the warm sauce that they call it real Italian

Good food, happy staff but the self order system is appalling, 2 machines isnt enough, it took over 10 minutes just to order the food, I wish I had gone somewhere else. Im not visiting any other vapiano with self order machines

Good pasta for a quick bite. Self served. Big place so you’ll find seating easily. Fair priced.

Last reference visit - 2019. Used to love the pizza and the green pesto.In my last visit in 2022 I was disappointed. The pasta and pinsa (pizzaquality took a hit.Nice environment.

The atmosphere and staff were superb, providing a lovely welcoming environment. The food, however, was okay. Its okay for when you are hungry and dining alone, but I wouldnt rate it highly.

Staff were friendly but busy. Food is tasty wide variety of options. Vegan pasta and gluten free options available.

The atmosphere was amazing and one of the staff members was really helpful and informative about the menu. The burrata on the salad was frozen from the inside, pizza was good, and the pasta was below average. One thing I didn’t appreciate was one of the employees working on the cashier called another customer stupid right in front of me just because he was asking where to collect the beverages.

Very dilecius pasta dishes.. Tasteful and nice staff.. But deserts Is not thiere strong side. Dry heavy cheesecake, it felt like was made of clay.. But pasta is awesome delicious

No more gluten-free pizza’s or any other gluten-free menu item. Great if your daughter has celiacs disease and we even selected our hotel to be near this restaurant as it was our daughter’s favorite… Stop advertising that you have gf options.

Before COVID VAPIANO was always a 5 star for me. I visited recently, service was excellent. They staff was friendly. We ordered Fungi Pasta and Chicken BBQ Pizza(Pinsa). Pasta was good but dont know what they did with the pizza. The Chicken Barbecue pizza was a total disappointment. It was more like cheese and chicken baked over a readymade pizza base.

Great food, very fresh and tasty, welcoming and kind service. The pizza is crunchy and delicious, salads are very good. The bread and cheese are free. Highly recommended

DO NOT GO THERE, YOUR WALLET CAN BE STOLEN !!! One of the worst restaurant and particular manager I have ever seen. Our wallets were stolen there (date 4th June, at 13:00 be careful, the manager said to us that they don’t have any cameras upstairs, by laughing. We told them that two wallets are stolen on their place and they do not even try to help. Just said we cannot help, nobody can do anything. Very suspectful behavior. He threat me to give me a ban for one year to his restaurant; which I would never go and let anybody I know to go there anyway. We have official report from the police, in case any management person from Vapiano would like to contact me (if they really consider their brand for future). The manager even try to organize his people before the police arrives to the place. We were not expecting anything than a little supportive behavior. Just very offensive from the beginning of the chat. Of course I cannot claim anybody but if I would be a manager of any such place, I would exactly the opposite of what he has done. I recommend the Vapiano management seriously control/audit what is going on at this branch of Vapiano at the best part of Berlin, Ku’damm.

Had a Penne Arrabiata and a coke for almost 20€. Extremely tasteless even though i ordered extra chili. Added salt and pepper at the table to get some taste. You can have a much better Arrabiata for half the price on other places in the area.Waiting time (sunday afternoonvery good though.

The food was excellent (Bolognese with Fusili noodles and Bruschetta), unfortunately I forgot being a stupid tourist and didnt take a photo of everything we ordered so youll have to believe my words.The portion size was sufficient although it was not the cheapest (about 14/15 euros in totalfor a place that works without waiters where you pick up your food yourself. The ordering was OK (quite a queue on the day we were there but there was an important football game so the city was more crowded than usual I assume). They could put one more ordering terminal for such crowded days (two were in place when we were there).The atmosphere is great, theres plenty of seating and table options (low, high, cozy chairsand especially the top floor felt relaxing.I recommend going here if youre not in a hurry and want to have a good meal.

I’m on a mission to try as many Vapiano restaurants as possible and this one didn’t disappoint. The chef also listened when I asked for plenty of spice in my chicken Alfredo

Great place to visit. Nice view from the window. Staff was friendly and helpful. Delicious food for my family. It was worth. We will definitely visit again when we will be in Berlin next time.

Excellent Italian restaurant near Kudamm Street in Berlin. The concept is automated self service as you compose your order by your self at a special stand, you can observe the kitchen while meals are prepared, you bring your food yourself.Spacious and welcoming facility. Affordable prices. Dishes are somehow oversized.

Before COVID, VAPIANO was always 5 stars for me.I tried their Pinsa today, the taste was pretty good but the crust was very hard so I couldnt cut and eat it. However the service was good but they should add more order kiosks to avoid waiting.

I had a prosciutto funghi pizza and it was good.But..As soon as I got there, I was entering the restaurant, as I thought I should do. But a man asked me if I was going to eat. Yes. Exactly like this: "are you going to eat?", like he was not sure about my intention there. It was a super unpleasant reception.He then addressed me to seat outside. And a waiter came and the first thing he said was: we are closing in one hour and kept standing on the table.One hour to close and there was already a pressure by the waiter to order. I was not even sat on the table yet and there was no menu on the table as well. And he was there like he was sure that I knew what I wanted to eat by heart.I then asked the waiter to wait a minute so I could at least have a look on the menu. But he was there standing waiting.I was not relaxed, I got tense and in the end the experience was not as good as it could be. I felt the opposite of welcome.The house was far from crowded and there was time enough for making a meal. I felt it was unnecessary, unwelcome, and unpleasant behavior of the staff.Please do not let this happen again.

Super impressed! They make all the food fresh in front of you delicious and would eat their every day! They also do takeouts and the place is very modern! If your all in a big group and spread out into different lines you wont get your food at the same to so you wont always be eating together wich is a bit of a shame but other wise no complaints!!!

I was super impressed with the quick service and excellent food served at Vapiano. As a gluten intolerant person, I was disappointed to see not many Italian inspired establishments offered gluten free options.Vapiano not only offered gluten free pasta but also zucchini noodles as opposed to pasta! My bolognese was fantastic. The rest of my family thoroughly enjoyed their delicious pizzas and pastas.Would highly recommend

The card system is different than any other Vapiano. The order and paiement has to be done before eating and it is not possible to see the chef cooking nor interact with. This place is so had for one final reason, it has NO PARMESAN but "Hard cheese which clearly looks and tastes differently, not forgivable for an Italian restaurant. Come on Vapiano in France or Italy have much higher standards.

Im usually big fan of Vapiano, but this time I had an aweful experience. This restaurant doesnt have Vapianos usual card system and waiting queues, but has three different ordering systems. I tried a machine order point which was sloooooow. After that I had to wait 45 minutes for two pastas which turned out cold. Carbonara it self was quite good as usual, but the whole experience was a disaster!

First time trying Vapiano chain Germany. We have also Vapiano in Finland.We ordered pasta and pizza. Pizza was too dry, tomato sauce minimum and felt like something missing. Pasta was al dente but sauce ingredient did not mention that ginger was also included. My wife was disappointed with pasta because she does not like ginger. If she knew ginger is included she would choose other pasta sauce.We will try one more time in Finland and see whether we have same experience as in German.This Vapiano located next to our hotel and opening hours were long. Friendly service and price was ok.

Unsatisfied experience and I rate it 2,5 stars.Unfortunately worse quality than other "Vapiano" restaurants. My girlfriends salad was okay but my Calzone pizza was very bad. The Calzone was good tasting but on the picture you can see that most of the pizza was only bread. Only a small piece in the middle was actually filled with ham and cheese.I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Love this place. Good Pizza. Good Pasta. Nices wines. Reasonable prices. The best thing: Due to its great concept its not necessary to talk to anybody. Perfect for eating out alone with winter depression. Toilets are clean.

Love Vapiano in Germany. Gluten Free pasta. The staff seem apologetic that they only have one type of Gluten Free pasta. They shouldn’t be. It tastes amazing.

People with allergies be warned: Vapiano finally managed the complete McDonald-ification of their experience.As of now, you have to decide if you want to go to a self-service order station where you can order additional expensive toppings, but dont point out that you want e.g. dairy-free food, or you stand in the one single line, wait for 10-20 min to order with a human person.In both cases, youll have to wait anything between 15-30 min for your order to be ready, so that you can go to the pick-up stand. And dont expect any tables to be available for you to enjoy your mediocre food. Even if one is available, its expected to sit with the dirty plates from the customers before you. There arent enough service people to keep the tables nice and clean - I definitely dont envy them for their jobs under these condition.After 12 years, Ill stop going here. Horrible experience, Ill warn my friends.

Not used to this kind of weird service with placing your order on cards. Staff at the pay desk was really rude . Staff at the order desk was helpful and sweet ( I ordered my pizza without cheese without a problem). Okay place to eat , options for everyone , including vegans. But I wont recommend going here for a nice dinner.

Update: The recently renovated Vapiano has new features such as order points new table arrangement and a different kitchen set up. Overall very nice and I’m curious to see how it will impact waiting times. One of the good things is that there aren’t line waiting times anymore. One extra star with the upgrade. If you are familiar with Vapiano make sure to stick with a cook of your choice. The noobies sometimes mess it up...

I think they installed the machine ordering. They are nice and friendly. But I’d prefer to watch the cooking procedure:)Don’t worry if you forgot to bring your mobile phone charger:you can find it beside the basil pots :)

The pizza was very good and fast prepared. There is specially prepared kids Pizza - nice idea really.

Quite stunning. Bit of a wait but it is well worth it when you bite into that delicious food. Recommend the Pillow Picante and Pomegranate juice. Compliments each other extremely well.
