Vanilla in Manchester

Myself and another trans woman were denied entry because there were enough "men" in this lesbian bar. So many cis men in trackies and never felt so misgendered in my life 0/10. Avoid.

Completely run down venue. Was empty at 10pm on a Saturday night. Awful drinks, small plastic glasses and beer on tap tasted terrible. Do not recommend

The white cis gendered female door security racially profiled a POC trans women refusing entry due to being with a fellow POC man. While having allowed 2 white men to exit moments earlier AND having allowed several men in during the night. This level of racism is vile

Racist bouncers and trashy venue. Bouncers taking the name vanilla a little too seriously and only letting white people in.

every other bar and club accepted my friends international ID - but vanilla would not let in either of my international friends, very rude about it too.

All the staff and doorman are great and superb and awesome and I was there had a great night will visit again that’s why I gave it a five star should be a diamond star instead Superb and excellent atmosphere

Stand-out lesbian bar in the heart of Village. LGBT-friendly, has the best staff, great drinks variety, music is unbelievably good!

The bouncers on the door that look like their named Stacey and Mandy are rude and wouldnt let me in because apparently I had "drank too much" after I had 2 drinks. They were just mad because I said they look like Stacey and Mandy. I think I hurt their feelings and they wanted to demonstrate their big balls and power LOL

Not happy with bar staff not willing to serve wanted to buy top shelf but the way the staff behaved was not going to my money in there, all so concerning I work for ITV and will not be recommended to any of my gay staff.

Extremely rude staff! Avoid at all costs , drinks barely contain alcohol.

Incredibly rude staff, particularly door staff/security. Clearly racist establishment, manhandling anyone they like without an explanation. PLEASE AVOID especially if you are black.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. Been there with my girl friend which was picked up from the crowd for no reason. The blonde security lady with dreads made up a scene on the spot just to display her "power". I was right behind them and I saw how it went on. She dragged my friend out aggresively and forbid that she came back in. Will never visit again. If you want to go there be prepared to be humiliated. Very unprofessional after we left too, the blonde lady coupled up with the outter security lady and waved sarcasticly at us.

HORRIBLE PLACE

Liars. Three non drinkers tried my diet coke and vodka but none of them tasted the vodka. Bar staff adamant drink contained vodka. If it did (which I doubtthen it was heavily wasted down. Will not be back.

never has any wlw when busy its always packed with hen parties and students, staff are often rude and cold to lgbt dont know why I keep going back to give it another chance maybe because its the only lesbian bar.One night I stopped counting the amount of times I was shoved by staff while the moving tables despite moving out the way and their being multiple other routes around.When its not decorated for hen parties for straight women looking for something to laugh at its dead or closed.Considering its an expensive cocktail bar there be been several occasions theyve run out of ingredients for several of their drinks on the menu which is akward for early on a saturday.... If they want more clients they need to stop being a hen party site and stop letting straight guys in, if eagle can only allow gay men then why cant wlw have our own space why do you guys hate us so badly that your drive away your own customer base of wlw to become just another bar? You want an LGBT customer base back? Cater to them redecorate and retrain your staff who are more interested in dancing with the bride to be than having a talk with their fellow wlw.Service with a smile wont hurt guys.

Definitely one of the best places for dance hall and ragaton. A credit to the village for letting 4 straight guys in!!! Being 4/6 guys in a venue gender selection felt like such a privilege.

Wasnt that impress the staff on door and bar need personalty transplants. if that wasnt bad enough a visit to the toilets was an eye opener I was Lucky to leave without catching a virus lolMusic Dj great wont return this bar needs to up its game new York new York Blows you out of the water take a tour.

good music and DJs. usually nice bar staff. not nice door staff like a lot of the village and also they dont accept cards...and charge in all the time even when its dead.the ceiling is often leaking, the toilets dont lock, it smells a bit, not v clean and overall v small.generally an alright atmosphere though. if you were very drunk, carry cash, and like good music youll have fun. i wont be going back while its cash only though - pain in the bum.
