Vanaparvam Biodiversity Park in Calicut

This place is great to spend and enter after noon and till evening. It good cause only ₹30 for ticket. The beauties of the nature are accumulated here. The pathway with stone withered, the forest with greenary, the lake and waterfalls with its best, its all great to leap into waterfalls, you get better photography,Parking has only for limited vehicles, which is only disadvantageGo and enjoy the space 🙂Highly recommended

A very nice place to be in touch with the nature as it includes forests,waterfalls and many creatures that can take you to enjoy the beauty of an eco system. This place has an area wherein you can find so many butterflies ans many people come to photograph them. Also there so many types of birds too in this park and some of the endemic birds like Malabar Trogon can be seen here.

Amazing place to spend your time with family. The small lake is shallow and safe even for small children. Overall a nice place to experience nature

One of my favourite place in malabar side, kerala.Try to visit here on rainy season, it might better than other climate. If you are a nature lover of course you can enjoy greenery and strong water falls on the mentioned season

A nice location for evenings and early morning. Have a hundreds of variety trees. Its not that much popular among the people, even its on the way to Wayanad, as it need a diversion of 3-4 KM from the main road. The photos which is posted by me is belongs to vanaparavam itself, but maybe you cannot see it. As it is a restricted area, we got proper permission from authorities for Bird Survey conducted by Kerala Forest Department.

One of the beautiful place to visit in Kozhikode district. Calm and peaceful place, where you hear bird chirp and other sounds of nature only. Its a protected and well maintained forest. Just almost 19 kilometres from Thamarassery town.

Forest base of the hill with well define hike path to reach small watefall formed by the stream, visited during rains it was beautifully green... not sure about hot days, beware of leaches during rains

People who like few crowd will like here. Place suitable for evening visit. A small walk through the forest and the small river will refresh your mind. Avoid during monsoons as the chance of closure during peak rain is high. Better to call before visit. Dont expect more... Just natural beauty😍💓

A small Forest like place to hangout with friends and family. Best time to visit would be during monsoon as the streams and the small waterfall would be in full flow during that time only. There is another similar place nearby - Kakkad Eco Tourism - recommended to visit there as well.

Vanaparvam is an organic garden located in engapuzha kozhikode is vanaparvam. A great place to spend the weekends with family inside the natural habitat with fresh air. The smell is more than enough to satisfy because of the natural medicinal trees and hedges, flowers and butterflies. There is a small waterfall also inside the organic garden.There is a small trek path inside this garden and it can be round up in two hours. And end up the way in to the beautiful waterfall.entry fee adults 30 rs& kids 15rs.Route: any bus can be taken from kozhikode to wayanad. From engapuzha almost 40 rs for auto

Greenery lovers, this is a must go place. Nice hide out from city. This place is situated at the foothills of western ghats towards Kozhikode side. One should drive away from main roads to reach this calm, quiet and romantic place.The place has walkways leading through evergreen patches of forest. Star-sign-forest is here (according to Indian star signswere one can identify the tree of their star sign. It is believed that it brings good fortune planting the tree of ones own star sign.The great Malabar tree nymph butterfly is found here. There is a waterfall and its more beautiful during post monsoon. Walking through vanaparvam will rejuvenate your spirits and is a good place to be if you plan to take a break for a few hours while on a long journey. Great spot for nature lovers. Only 30 rs entry tickets. Can bath in the river if the water levels are normal (no bathing in june, July). Famous for the varieties of butterflies here. You can actually see them. Bamboo forest and marshy land are good to visit. There is an opportunity for a quick trekking. Calm and serene place for couples to visit.

A good place for one time visit.

The first venue of the tour itself was awsome. The place was named vanaparvam,near engapuzha. It has a rich fluara and dense forest. The mountains that we trekked was about 2 kilometers slandly. Surely it was a best place who loves nature, that is forest,mountain, stream most. The tour was from the moral camp conducted by Msm Feroke.***remember*** , No water will be there to swim on summer.

One of the best eco tourism spot in Kozhikode.I stay very close to this place. The best attraction of this place is the natural water slide in the stream. It is recommended to visit this place in the early morning. Take an extra pair of clothes if you are planning to take a bath in the stream.
