Vanak - Persian restaurant in Jakobsberg, Sweden
Nice , delicious , reasonable price but needs more improvements to serve the food with right temperature without microwave
It used to be a good restaurant with very good food, unfortunately lost their touch…
Nice food but service should be improved.
Friendly and accomodating staff. Cool interior and nice atmosphere. Free tea for yourself to serve endlessly. We noticed there were quite a few regulars coming in, it seems to be a popular dining spot among the persians in Stockholm. We liked it alot! Only complaint was that one of us got chicken served that was just a little raw on the inside but they had absolutely no problem fixing that for us immediately. Will definitely be recommending this place to friends and family who visit Stockholm!
Oct 22, tested koobide, chenjeh, shishlik and jooje. Only koobideh was acceptable taste but the other meats were not delicious. The chief used many flavors and the taste of meats was lost.
Loved the food.
The very best of Persian cousine in Stockholm ! I would like to recommend the manager that it would be better with lower volume of the music and may be new classical Iranian music. But the meals are the best in Stockholm. No doubt!
Food - 3.5/5Ambience - 2.5/5Prices - 3/5I would give it a 3-3.5. I dont understand why it has such a high rating as the food and the whole experience was average. I have been to better Persian restaurants. They should improve the food and ambience for the given prices.
Vanak dose not have good personal for service, they even dont respect them own personal wards ! Someone on the phone say something for the food but the Kassa personal do other things,Behaviour with the costumer absolutely very rude , I dont recommend the place that you dont get respect, plus lunch service wasnt good at all, in other restaurants you get at least salads and bread and tea after lunch , , at all not recommended.
Vanak is clearly the best Persian restaurant in Stockholm. I travel to Stockholm two or three times a year and Vanak will always be part of it. Dont worry about taking the longish trip out to Akalla, its more than worth it. (Highlights: Plain rice, Kubideh, Mahitcheh, Dizzi, Sereshk-Polo)Edit: It is 2022 and Vanak still delivers.
Could be better, but they are definitely better than other Persian restaurants in Stockholm. Staffs are friendly, prices are almost normal. I tried Fesenjoon and I was quite happy.
We ordered kabab koobideh for main course and for starters We ordered mast moosir and bademjoon. For drinks we ordered doogh. The place wasn’t clean. The food wasn’t cooked properly and it was hard. The staff was very friendly and nice. The music was not good either. We decided not to order any dessert. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you are looking for a proper nice persian food.
Four people could eat for two times on three portions.. tasty food!!
It was a very satisfying experience. Enjoyed every bit.
Good food. Nice staff. Nice replica of Accamenid art. Reasonable price.
Brilliant food
Dorod bar shimsVery good and friendly employees,The food is very tasty and a lot and The price is right ,I have been coming to this restaurant for many years, it is always good and nothing changes, it is always excellent.
Authentic and tasty Persian food. Great for dagens lunch.
The taste of kebab and juje kebab was really unique and the service was excellent
Authentic Persian food experience and friendly staff. As a returning customer I recommend their unbeatable “Baghalipolo ba mahiche“ (Rice with Broad Beans and Lamb Shank). Why not 5 star? The ambiance needs some love, the music can be too loud sometimes and not suitable for dining.
If you are in to persian cuisine this one is nice but a bit pricy. When it is a special day you better book a seat there before you come by.
Authentic Persian food experience. Friendly staff. Highly recommended!
Some 16+ years ago up until 2019, Vanak used to offer the best Persian cuisine in Stockholm. However, I cant say the same today. The decor is awkwardly ridiculous depicting the ruins of Persepolis. Its outdated and looks cheap. It lacks style and character. Its absolutely appalling. Back in the days, the quality and taste of the food would compensate for that horrendous decor. But not anymore. We ordered Chelow Kabob koubidé, Soltani and Baghali Polo Maïché. We also had a micx of three side dishes, which were Mirza Ghasemi, Kashké Bademjun and Panir Bereshté. The kabob meat for the Barg wasnt tender and didnt taste very good. However, the Baghali Polo Maïché was excellent. The meat was tender and juicy. The sauce was delightful and the rice was heavenly. The service was good. But overall, Vanak is not as good as it used to be. The clientele has also changed. There are very few Iranians/Persians visiting Vanak nowadays.
Good kobideh but I would like to get a better yoghurt with a soup perhaps, especially for the price it cost. Bread etc etc. But the meat and rice is really good
Food was good, prices was reasonable. The staff was amazingly helpful, kind and welcoming. Would go back.
The best persian food in Scandinavia! Best kebab, chicken and shishlik. Thank you Vanak!
From the moment I entered, I could smell the Mousir “Iranian Yogurt with Persian Shallot “ and Persian Rice patently. I was really gratified ☺️It didn’t disappoint me though, the food met my expectations, beside the Marinated Olive took me back to its origin! It’s rare though. But it’s quite pricy beware!Overall:Pre course 5/5Main course 4/5 just because I’ve tasted betterDessert 3/5 the Saffron Ice cream wasn’toriginal.
Food was delicious, ‘Baghali-polo ba mahiche’ was great, I recommend it. Waiters were really nice and the place was cosy, overall the dinner was great.
Best genuine Persian food in Sweden. There are a lot of other Persian restaurants in the city center, with menus which are more formed after Swedish palates. But this is where the real and genuine Persian food is served.Might not seem that special from outside, but inside is like walking in to Iran for an hour or two.
Good quality but not the best ofc
Use to be the best Persian restaurant in Sweden and kinda famous for it but not anymore, the rice tasted odd (chemical ishpoorly packed wouldn’t go there unless they change the chef
Very delicious. The restaurant does not look like from outside, but it has a very good atmosphere on the inside. The food and service was also very good
We ordered take away and Everything was packed perfectly and separately. We were really impressed by the food and everything else. I highly recommend this restaurant
Super tasty kebab but the kobideh wasnt really good, dry and bland. Overall very nice place.
Tasty Persian food with nice ambiance and friendly staff
Not the same taste like before and the food wasn’t fresh enough , I ordered kobideh with bred but they brought it with rice when I told him that it’s not my order then he answered so badly that he will bring me bred too and then it should be ok, some staff are not friendly enough and the food is not as good as before totally worth price for the food and service not recommend
Amazing food! They have a super clean and good looking restaurant. When you get your food you get what they show you in the menu, big plate with very good quality food. Their chicken was perfectly made, not dry or anything!😀
The best Iranian food in Stockholm! Very friendly staff and good service!
Good food for reasonable price.
Awesome food here! Just perfect.
Amazing food. This is the best Chicken I have ever eat in my life.
Amazing place. The food is truly sublime and the stuff is very helpful.
Very good Persian food, quick and friendly service. The dizi was so tasty
Fantastic food! Its great! Persian food is served in this restaurant with even higher quality than in Tehran! You get amazing fresh and hot bread with nice bbq. I recommend Chenje as the main meal. The service is great and people are so friendly. Absolutely recommend this place..
One of, if not the, best place for Persian cuisine in the Stockholm area.Personally, I would recommend you try to their grilled dishes (e.g. djodje, kobideor maiche if you’re into slow cooked-food.Also, big plus for great vegetarian options!
The most authentic Persian restaurant in Stockholm. Great and consistent high quality of food but unfortunately the service level varies from time to time. Savory dishes, especially variations of kebabs, gold selection of starters and dessert (try the saffron ice cream!).
A great Persian classic, at least according to all my Persian friends. Potentially the best in Stockholm. The dishes are tasty and very abundant.I think a bit overpriced, considering also that it is outside the city. The environment is cleaned, including restrooms.I would recommend dish number 14 in the menu :-)
Excellent place for having dinner. The staff of this restaurant is always friendly and offers enormous plates. Ive never had better taste of a rice and meatplte. Besides they play Iranian music and the decoration is the best. You wouldnt guess if you see it from the outside. It also didnt seem to be overcrowded, that even a bigger group easily finds a table with 8+ people.
Best Iranian / Persian restaurant I have ever visited. As a person who doesnt enjoy lamb so much my options are really limited but I simply love their "Barg" . I have even tasted some other plates with lamb and they were all very good. I strongly recommend this place.
Probably the best Persian restaurant in Stockholm. One might argue that there are better Persian restaurants in Stockholm, that maybe true if you are looking for more fancy decoration or setting, if only the taste of the food matters, then Vanak is your choice.I regularly visit for lunch and sometimes for dinner, most of the time I have been satisfied with their quality and taste,
